Epilogue

"Do you, George Harrison, take Pattie Boyd as your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health?" Jeremy asked.

"I do."

"Do you, Pattie Boyd, take George Harrison as your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health?"

"I do," Pattie said, beaming at George.

"I know pronounce you husband and wife," Jeremy said cheerily. "You may kiss the bride."

There was applause and even some whistling from John, but George ignored it all as he kissed her. It took him awhile break away from Pattie, because he didn't want to let her go for the world.

"Daddy, why is Mummy blue?"

George had known this question was coming for a while now, and he was surprised that Dhani had waited this long to ask. He sat back on his haunches, gloves covered in dirt from planting tulips, and smiled warmly at his adopted son.

It didn't seem like that long ago since George and Pattie had gotten married, but it had been four years. They still lived in Liverpool in their large house with John, Paul, and Ringo, which sometimes tested George's patience, but he loved his bandmates dearly. A few years ago, Pattie had discovered that she was infertile and it had hurt them both immensely, but they'd decided that they wouldn't dwell on it and be depressed, so they adopted Dhani. And George honestly thought it was one of the best things that had ever happened to him.

"Well, Dhani, it's a long story . . . " George said.

"Please tell me," Dhani said, crawling into his lap. "Also, why am I not blue too?"

"Well, it all started on a submarine heading to Pepperland . . . "
