19. I would turn for her.
* Lora Croffard's POV *
"That's the last of it," I said, closing the trunk.
"Do you really have to go?" Chloe said, with tears in her eyes.
"Come here, monkey." She ran into my arms and I heard the sobs wetting shirt.
"Don't go! Please don't go!" she cried.
"I have to, baby." Why is this so hard?! I almost felt like staying here. But then, I'll be a nanny for the rest of my life!
"Okay, Chloe, say goodbye. She's going to be late," Mary said, also with a hint of sadness in her voice.
Next up was Daniel. He gave me a tight hug, releasing me without a word and walked back into the house.
After Alex said his goodbyes, Mary came walking up to me. "We're really going to miss you. You have your laptop now, so we can Skype. Let me know if you're safe that side."
"Thank you, Mary. Without you I wouldn't have come this far."
"I'll do anything for family. Go on you're going to miss your flight." Nash was driving me to the airport.
At the airport Nash helped me to unload my baggage and then she shook her head and I saw she's was trying really hard not to cry.
"Nash, please don't cry! Come here." I pulled her into a hug.
"You know, you've become my best friend and I love you for that. Thank you."
"Take care of you sexy ass. And don't forget us. Ever. And come and visit sometime."
"I'll try my best. Okay, I'm going to leave now, otherwise I'll never get away."
"That's also fine."
"Bye, Nash. Take care of my people and yourself."
I walked into the airport, handed my luggage in and walked over to the boarding station. A hand grabbed my wrist and my defensive skils kicked in. I turned around and hit the person with my bookbag.
"Ouch! Damn, Lora."
"Liam?"
"Yeah, it's me."
"Oh, thank goodness!" I threw my hands around his neck and held him tight.
We haven't talked since our fight at the wedding and to see him now was all that I needed. And it might be the last time. It felt good when he hugged me back.
"What are you doing here?"
"I might be a little bit mad at you, but nothing will change my feelings towards you. I won't let you go, at least not without saying goodbye."
"Oh, Liam." I hugged him tighter. I didn't want to let go.
"Promise me you'll come back."
"What?"
"Promise me you'll come back when your studies are finished. Promise me you'll return to the place where you belong." I took a step back.
"Liam, I don't know. It's a long time."
"Just promise me, Lora!" he said louder. I could hear his voice shaking.
"I can't. It's four years. Anything can happen in four years."
"I'll wait."
"No, Liam. You can't wait forever. Who knows if I'll ever come back."
"You will, I know you will."
"How can you know, if I don't even know?"
"Because everything you need is here. What more reason do you want?!"
"What if I found what I really want in London?"
"Like someone you actually love?"
I don't answer him immediately. "Maybe I'm just not meant to be loved."
"Maybe I just can't help to love you. Maybe it wasn't my choice, but yet I still do. And sometimes it hurts to love you, because it just doesn't matter how I feel to anyone."
"Liam, if I admit to you how I feel about you it will just make everything worse. It will make us weak for what's yet to come."
"Nothing is going to make this feeling better, because I'm still losing you."
"You're not losing me."
"Yes, I am. Because you don't know if you'll ever return. So what am I suppose to do?"
"I honestly don't know."
"Flight 1732 report for boarding. Flight 1732 report for boarding," a voice came through the intercome.
"That's me."
"I still love you, Lora. No matter what." I took his face into my hands and pressed my lips to his for the last time. I was hungry for him.
I pulled away and started to jog into the boarding station. My face was covered by tears but I didn't look back once.
* Liam Lockwood's POV *
I burst into the house. "Oh, hi honey." I didn't answer my mother, heading to my room. "Liam? What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Liam! Stop!" I stopped walking, not turning around to face her. "Look at me. Look at me, Liam!" I turned around. "My baby." She came closer to hug me. "Why are you crying?"
"She's gone. She's officially gone. I'll never see her again!" My tears were now flowing at full speed .
"Oh darling. Everything will be okay."
"No! It won't! She's out of my life and there's no way I can get her back!"
**********
Later I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I felt so empty. There was a knock on the door but I didn't move a inch.
"Oh boy. Guys, this looks worst than we thought!" I heard Cj's voice. Then footsteps came next to my bed and three faces cover my view.
"Hey, buddy."
"Sup."
"What are you doing?"
"I'm slightly dying inside. Please let me do it in peace"
"Oh no, that's not going to happen." Joe said.
"Come on, get your ass up. Put on some clothes, we're going out."
"I'm not going anywhere. I don't want to be with people or anyone right now."
"Yes you do. Come, lazy bones."
"Go away."
"Okay, guys. Let's do this the hard way." A second later my bed tipped off and I landed on my face.
"What the heck!"
"Get dressed, Liam. You don't have a choice."
"Just let me be!"
"Just get dressed!" all three of them yelled at the same time.
**********
Thirty minutes later we stopped in front of a club. "Guys, really. My head already hurts, I don't want be where lots of people are."
"Liam, tonight you're going to be a normal guy our age. You're going to get drunk, flirt with every second girl and most probably get laid."
"I'm not having sex with anyone. And I am counting on you guys to help me with that. I'm saving it up for someone special. Like Lora." Lora.... Her name alone made me flinch. "So, I will stay a virgin for a very long time. Probably forever."
"Come on, let's go, before you make all of us depressed."
Girl after girl tried to hook up with me. What do I look like? A manwhore?! I just walked way everytime they were trying to push their tongues into my mouth.
Lora would never push herself on me like that. She never did and that's what I liked about her. She wasn't a fake. She's innocent and doesn't want anything in life. She always put others needs in front of her own.
Oh Lora. I missed her already. How am I going survive without knowing that I could go knock at her door anytime of the day or even night.
I remember one night I couldn't sleep and the I messaged her. She also couldn't sleep. So I drove over there and we spend the whole night talking. Or more like arguing about her vampire crushes.
I was so jealous of that vampires. I would turn for her.
A/N
Hey guys
I know this is kind of depressing. I feel sad now. What do you think is going to happen?
Will Lora make it in London? And will Liam survive being away from her?
You'll have to wait and find out.
