Stella's P.O.V.

I took a moment to examine my surroundings carefully. We were standing on a grassy road where we have the trees of a forest at our right and a long lake on our left. There seemed to be another forest on the other side of the lake because I was able to spot similar trees there. It was either this lake separates two forests or it's just somewhere in the middle of a huge forest. So far, I don't have any idea what forest is this.

The trees were large and tangled, they sent shivers down Covie's spine as she approched me and held my hands. I think she saw them like monsters disguised in the form of trees and she's not blamed. "Stella, they look scary.." She said. "Don't worry Covie." I comforted her with a smile as she smiled faintly and nodded. 'Liar' Leo mind said. 'You look scared as well.' He added. 'What? I am not afraid of stupid trees!' I said confidently. 'Sure.. Just wait till one of those tangled branches touches you.' I rolled my eyes. Although Leo's teasing is annoying I didn't mind it, I missed our mind conversations, it's better to have your brother annoy you than being trapped by a werewolf villain. 'Aww, Stella! You do have feelings!' He mind said. I take back everything I've said. 'Shut up and stop reading my mind.' I said. "Ok guys. We are not coming anywhere near the lake nor the forest, we'll just walk on this beautiful grass. So, I hope I made myself clear enough to not go into any of those directions." I explained and they nodded. "Now let's go." I said.

We walked for a couple of minutes but nothing new came across us. The same long long lake on a side and the scary trees on the other. Like we are walking in the middle of two different worlds if they aren't indeed..

We walked for what seemed like an hour till we stopped to rest. "How much longer?" Covie nagged. "For the third time for God's sake." Glacia sighed. "We don't know!" We all said in unison.
"Ok, ok!" She said. "No need to be angry." She said.
"We aren't Covie. It's just..we're tired." I said. I found a small marshmallow and sat on it. It looked like a mini seat, anything was good to sit on. "So what will we do?" Aquilo asked. "I think we should go through the forest." Briar said. "No!" Covie said. "It's not like we have any better choice." Leo said sighing. "We can try and walk a couple of miles and -" Teriana suggested but Acours interrupted. "Let's just walk through the forest in the same direction as the grassy road, its the same but maybe.. we might find anything helpful instead of that." He said gesturing to the empty grassy road. I sighed and nodded. As I tried to stand up, I couldn't. "Uh, guys!" I called as I tried to get up again. "I am.. stuck." I said as I struggled getting off the supid marshmellow. "Here give me your hand." Leo said as he tried to pull me but failed. "What is that?" Leo asked as he examined my mini seat. "I think that's a sticky marshmellow?" I said as I shrugged. He rolled his eyes and continued examining it. Idiot He mind said. "Leo, I hear whatever you say!" I said as he chuckled as he continued examining it. "Who cares what it is! Just get me off this thing!" I said. Covie held my hands and tried to pull me while Leo was holding her to help her pull and Aquilo was pulling Leo and so on. I ended up having my 7 siblings trying to pull me off a sticky marshmellow, yay. "It's working!" Covie said as she squeezed her eyes using all her force, with the help of the rest, to pull me. Suddenly, I was finally off of it and everyone fell on their backs. I laughed at the sight as I turned to the sound I heard behind. The marshmellow had a..mouth! I screamed and ran towards my sibilings. It's roots were off the ground and it started walking towards me but Aquilo kicked it away and it's roots sticked back to place. "What was that thing?" Glacia said with wide eyes. "Whatever it was, isn't good." I said. Suddenly, the surrounding marshmellows did the same! An army of marshmellows walking toward us. "Guys, kick them!" Aquilo said as he kicked a little marshmellow heading towards Covie. We did as ordered and stared kicking the marshmellows back to place. Their number slowly decreased until there were five left. Then, all the ones we got rid off came back! "We can't. Keep. Fighting." Leo shouted as he kicked three marshmellows away. "Head towards the forest! Now!" I said before I kicked one last marshmellow and headed towards the tangled trees and the others followed. We hid behind the large tangled trees. All the marshmellows froze and then headed back to their places except one little marshmellow that tried to come near the tree Covie was standing behind but it got.. burned. Just as it touched the tree, it burned. "Woah." Briar said.

"What are those?" Acours repeated the question we all had on mind. 'I thought the only obstacles we'll face are at the cliff.' Leo muttered in my mind. Then it hit me! "That's it!!" I said and they all turned to me. "Our greatest obstacle will be waiting for us at the lakeshore, right?" I said and they nodded. "Part of that obstacle is facing the obstacles we'll come across on our way there!" I said and they stared at me. "So we'll find more of those?" Glacia asked gesturing to the marshmellows behind the tree. "We need to take precautions, don't touch anything till we figure everything out." I said. "We have to go back to the grassy road." I said. "What?" Aquilo asked. "We need to stay near the lake to find it's shore and find the cliff and the obstacle awaiting us there." I explained. "But the marshmellows out there.." Covie trailed off. "Don't get anywhere near them." I said.
"Or we can walk here, near the forest's edge, will still have a good look at the lake." Briar suggested. "Good idea. But only till all the marshmellows are out of sight." I said and they nodded. We started walking. We didn't come anywhere deep in the forest, just the trees beside us that separated us from the grassy road. As I walked by I had a look at the other side of the forest. It was so dark, although it wasn't night time yet. Covie held my hands again as she looked at it. I knew one thing. That this sight sent shivers down both of our spines..

"No more marshmellows." I said as I looked from behind a tree branch. The tree branch moved and rotated around my nose trying to pull it. "Guys!!" I said in a squeaky voice. "Help!" I begged. Leo got his orb out and it glowed as he throwed it near the branch. Instead of hitting the branch it floated and it's glow casted a bright shadow on the branch, the branch slowly turned to ash that was now on the floor, so was Leo's orb. "'All of you will need to master your orb's elements to get past it.'" I echoed my mother's words. "It all makes sense now!!" I said. "To get through the real obstacle which we'll be facing in order to reach the cliff where we will face our final obstacle, we need to use our orbs to help us!" I explained and they gave me amazed looks. "What is it? Did something happen to my nose?" I said as I touched it and Leo shook his head. "It's that you are a great leader sis." He said and they all nodded as a smile made it's way up my face.

We went back towards the grassy road. "How many obstacles do you think we'll face?" Acours asked. "Three." Covie suggested. "Five." Glacia thought. "Or probably Eight. I think seven." Leo said. "Each obstacle we'll face will be meant to one of us to solve. I already solved the tree branch thing with my orb and Aquilo solved the marshmellow obstacle. Six left. But I think it's five because only 7 of us are supposed to save mum, as the prophecy stated, so Covie is out of the equation, there shouldn't be any obstacle in her way." Leo shrugged.
"Leo, that's genius!" I said and he smiled proudly. "We have some genius twin leaders here." Briar muttered. "So we'll find the lakeshore after we get over the remaining five obstacles?" I asked. "Probably." Leo confirmed. "Uh guys." Covie said. "Hold on Covie. But we need to be careful with those obstacles." Leo said. "Guys!!" Covie repeated. "Wait Covie! And w-" He stared but Covie's scream interrupted him. I immediately turned to see her being absorbed by the dark grass she was standing on. "Oh my." I said as they gasped. Only her face was still not absorbed by the dark spot of grass. "Covie give me your hand." I said but she shook her head as she struggled to keep it up. "I can't move it except down there, in the.. water." She said. "Covie!" Glacia yelled from behind me. "Swim to the right!" She said. I looked to Covie's right, there was the normal green grass there. "Yes Covie! Swim towards the normal green grass!" Leo said and Covie did as told. Slowly with much cheers for her she made it towards the safe side and slowly made it to the normal grass. Suddenly, the grass her head was coming out of opened like a door and her body was still in a swimming form. "Quick, give me your hand!" Leo siad as he pulled her out. I stared at where Covie was, I saw water down there before the grass closed again and all I could see was dark green grass. "How did you.." Aquilo said as he turned to Glacia. "She was swimming in the lake. There's dark green grass only around the edges of the lake. I assumed it as I saw a wet spot of dark green spot and was confirmed when Covie said there's water there." She explained. "So are we standing on the lake?" Acours asked as he looked at the grass. "I don't think so, only the dark green spots." She replied. "On the bright side, only four obstacles left." Leo said.

We walked for a couple of moments silently. "Ouch!" I tripped and a rock scratched my arm. The rock moved and spikes came out of it as it headed towards the others and a spike touched Leo. "Ouch!" He said. I pulled my orb and stood up and stood infront of the moving rock with all the others behind me and put it in front of it as I closed my eyes. A shield of light was surrounding us and just as the rock touched it, the rock disappeared. I lowered Obelia and slowly the shield disappeared. "I solved mine as well." I said as I raised the orb over my wound for a moment before I removed it to find my arm back to normal and Leo did so as well. "Amara's words of the usages of the orb helped." I said as I continued walking and my sibiling slowly trailed behind. "Three left." Leo reminded as he walked beside me.

"Why are the obstacles easy?" Leo asked.
"They aren't the easist nor the hardest I guess. And because they are seven and because of the fact there is a greater obstacle waiting for us past the lake." I said and he nodded as he kicked some little rocks into the lake. A large fish came out and swallowed the rock but choked. The chocking fish's tail suddenly grew long and it got thiner that it looked like a crocodile. It didn't look like one, it turned to one! "We can't fight it as humans!" Teriana panicked. "But we can as animals." Briar said as he threw the orb above him and squeezed his eyes. "Crocodile!" He exclaimed and the orb glowed above him and it's light hid him and we couldn't see him. Slowly the light disappeared revealing another crocodile, Briar. Briar headed towards the crocodile and they fought using their tails. The other crocodile was stronger and threw Briar away. "He needs help!" Teriana said as she threw her orb above her and did as Briar. She turned to a crocodile as well. She opened and closed her mouth as she fought the other crocodile with her tail while Briar was regaining his energy. Briar quickly headed to help Teriana and they both fought him and then they stopped. Teriana and the crocodile stared a each other and kept opening and closing their mouth, no sound heard. The crocodile went back to the water and slowly Brair and Teriana turned back to normal. "You did it!" Briar told her. "What were you doing?" Glacia asked. "Briar turned to a crocodile to fight and I fought and comunicated with the crocodile and solved matters peacefully. He was just considering us as a threat to his territory." She explained. "You solved both your obstacles. Only you left Acours." I said and he nodded excitedly.

We continued our walk but this time we weren't silent. We actually talked, a lot. We got to know each other's habits, likes and dislikes. "Look, a bat's tree!" Glacia exclaimed. "How do you know that?" Briar asked. "Some bats live in those types of trees. Look at it, it has a lot of dark green leaves attached to tangled curvy branches. Definitely a bat's tree." She said. "But bats who live there aren't always nice." She said. Acours looked through the hole in the tree as he spoke. "I can't see- aah!!" He screamed as he removed his head with a dark green bat flying behind him. "Those bats can't see more than one person because of their eyes, they can focous on only one person which in our case is Acours." She explained as Briar laughed at the sight of Acours running. "It isn't funny, it's a deadly bat!" She exclaimed as we gasped. Acours put his hand in his pocket till he grabbed his orb. He stopped running and bent over so the bat flew above him and then he ran to the oppisite direction and stopped. Just as the bat was about to turn Acours quickly tapped his orb twice before throwing it above him and moving his hands across his face. Amara taught them a lot of things when I was gone.. Suddenly he disappeared. Just as the bat turned it stopped and just floated in the air. It kept flying around the spot where Acours disappeared before it headed back to it's tree. "Is it gone yet?" His voice asked. "Yes." Leo replied. Acours slowly re-appeared as he took his hands away from his face. "Phew!" He said as he rubbed his forehead. "Next time, mind your own business and don't look at animals' houses." Galcia said as she crossed her arms. "Guys, you forgot something." Leo said. "He solved the last obstacle."

"Maybe they weren't part of the real obstacle." Teriana said as we continued walking through the grassy road as the sun set slowly. We walked guided by the last sunrays left. "There is no other explination." Aquilo said. "If so, then where is the lakeshore?" Briar asked. I stopped walking as I looked around. The trees stopped appearing. There is no more water in the lake. "Guys." I said as I looked on the ground we are standing on. "We are on the cliff." I said as I took a few steps forward looking down from the cliff and up at the dark evening sky. "Now what?"
