Thump.

Thump thump.

You hit the punching bag again, giving it a right hook, a jab, then blocking as if you were fighting a real opponent. Lloyd watched in awe as you lightly bounced on your feet.

"Remember, you gotta stay light on your feet, and you don't just punch with your hands. When you hit the punching bag, you gotta hit it with your whole body. You try." You stepped back, allowing the young ninja-in-training a chance to try boxing.

You weren't entirely sure how you knew all of this, but it felt natural.

The Bounty was on its way to Torchfire mountain, the only place the fangblades could be destroyed. You had seen Lloyd on his way to the training room and decided to help him a bit.

Watching him, you chuckled as the punching bag swung back and hit the boy while he had his back was turned. He was a little ball of awkwardness and cuteness rolled into one.

As time flew by you noticed Lloyd looking a little dehydrated.

"You thirsty, Olive?" You asked the kid.

"A little, can you get me some water?" The little olive stopped punching the bag, looking up at you.

"Sure thing."

You ran out to grab a cup of water for the hard working trainee, but when you walked back into the training room Lloyd was tied to the punching bag, and something was blocking your way.

That something revealed itself to be Pythor.

"You." He hissed. He lunged at you, attempting to pin you down.

With as much time as you had, you ducked and rolled to the side, before jumping up in a fighting stance.

"Not still mad about the horse thing, are you snaky?"

You pounced on the snake, the two of you wrestling all your might. Eventually, Pythor pinned you down, tying your hands and feet together with cloth. However, the moment he got up, you followed the instructions of Keenan, and teleported out of the binds.

You appeared behind the Ekans, kicking him to the ground. As he attempted to get up, you jumped forward into a front flip. As you flipped, you grabbed his shoulders and threw him into the wall, surprising the both of you with your strength.

Lloyd cheered for you through his gag, and you turned to untie him. Hissing in frustration, Pythor grabbed a staff that was leaning against the wall, slithering towards you.

Lloyd struggled and started to scream, trying to warn his friend of the serpent that was about to attack.

"Don't worry Lloyd, I'll get you out." You then saw his eyes staring at something behind you, and before you could turn around, Pythor hit you in the head with the staff.

You fell onto your knees, struggling to stay conscious.

When you tried to get up, Pythor struck you in the back with the staff, forcing you back to the ground.

"(Yy/nnn)!" You could hear Lloyd's muffled screams.

Things began to blur as you looked up at Pythor, you glared daggers.

"Perhaps I was still feeling salty about the 'horse thing'. Night night." Pythor mocked, and before you knew it, everything went black.

Your head ached as you woke, unsure of your surroundings. As you slowly came to, you realized that you were laying on the wall of the training room!

'Hurry, the ninja and their sensei could be in danger!' Keenan warned.

You think I don't know that?! You retorted.

Struggling to get up and keep your balance, you managed to get out of the training room, running on the walls of the hallway to grab your hook swords from your room, before running back to get above deck.

Once outside you saw the boys hanging over the edge, holding onto sensei like their lives depended on it. Pythor and Lloyd were fighting, the purple snake criticizing his form.

Running towards the two, you heard Lloyd.
"I'm not trying to defeat you. I'm just trying to keep you busy until the cavalry arrives."

On cue, Nya landed on deck in her Samurai X Mech, earning a few good whimpers from Pythor. He started to slither back, only for Lloyd to jump up and kick him across the face. He flew back, hitting his back against the Bounty.

"Ha ha, I hit him! I hit him guys!" Lloyd exclaimed, joy smothered across his face.

"Great job Lloyd!" You praised the boy. You could tell he was smiling under the hood.

As the Samurai girl attempted to catch the serpent, he ducked and slithered to the edge of the Bounty. "Asss much asss I would like to play with your overgrown toysss, I have a ride to catch."

He jumped off the flying ship, where a serpentine helicopter was waiting for him. "Ssso long sssuckers!" Pythor cackled as the snake-copter flew away.

You, Lloyd, and Nya groaned as he flew off, but you turned around when you heard Jays' voice.

"Don't let go!"

"You think I don't know that?!" Kai responded, irritated.

You ran over the the plank that the hothead was holding onto by his feet, and started to pull them up. However, you couldn't lift up the five of them, and you all fell, hurtling towards the volcano.

'Grab onto them and teleport back onto the ship!' Keenan instructed over the boys screams.

Teleport with them? I just learned how to do teleport myself and you expect me to be able to do that with the five of them?!

'Just try!'

You attempted to grab onto the boys, but your services were not needed as soon Nya had scooped everyone up in her Samurai X suit.

"Gotcha!" The samurai exclaimed. Jay gave her a warm smile.

"I don't think I've ever been glad to see you!" The blue boi proclaimed.

The four ninja jumped off the Bounty summoning their vehicles. You were on the back of Cole's vehicle, shouting along with them as they drove off the side of Torchfire Mountain and in pursuit of the bus.

You were right behind the bus when you noticed all the serpentine open their windows to look at you, before retracting their heads back into the bus. A few Fangpyres bit into the bus, turning it into a snake... bus?

"What is that, a truck?" Flamebrain asked.

"That is no truck." The old spinjitzu master informed. "It is a moving fortress."

"You mean, like an RV?" You piped up.

"A what?" Zane asked. You just rolled your eyes.

"Never mind."

Cole picked up speed, getting closer to the snus (snake bus). But whenever he got too close, the tail would whip at him, trying to knock the vehicle away. An idea plopped into your head, and before Cole could do anything to stop you, you jumped onto the tail when it struck down at the vehicle.

"(Y/n)! What are you doing?!" He yelled, but you couldn't hear him through the wind roaring in your ears. As the tail tried shaking you off, you held on, and slowly began to climb up, reaching the top of the snus.

You noticed green spheres on each side of the moving fortress, both had a snake firing at the ninja.

Trying to keep your balance, you hopped onto one, unsheathing your hook swords to break into it. You jumped into the sphere, throwing the serpentine out.

Two more snake vehicles from the bus dropped onto the road, and an idea popped into your head.

Alright, let's see if I can figure how this works! You thought to yourself, grabbing onto the controls. But the moment you tried to move the direction of the sphere, it jolted the way you pulled it, surprising you a bit.

'Interesting doo-hickey...' Keenan said to himself.

Never, say doo-hickey again. You cringed at the old man.

'Doo-hickey.'

You salty codger.

'Disrespectful Whippersnapper.'

Inwardly rolling your eyes, you focused again. Getting more used to the controls, you fired at the smaller serpentine vehicles. You managed to blast one away that was on Kai's left while he handled the one on his right.

More appeared while the other armed sphere fired at Nya and Wu. Zane hopped onto the snus, using his golden weapons to detach the tail from the rest of the vehicle. You jumped onto Kai's motorcycle as he drove past, and continued the chase.

Kai sped up, as everyone got close enough they jumped onto the snus.

"Let's split up. Last one to the front is a rotten ninja!" Flamebrain joked. You and Jay jumped into a car, the Lightning Ninja using his spinjitzu to knock some serpentine playing a card game out through the window.

"Ha!" Sparkle Fingers exclaimed before looking around.

"Where'd everyone go?"

You sighed looking at him, "Kai literally just said to split up Lightning Rod!"

He giggled from embarrassment, looking down. "Oh ya, hehe..."

"Dad?"

A snakelet popped her head up from behind a seat, a Venomari.

"Where's my dad?!" The snake child asked, venom in her voice. (Bdum tsss)

"Uuhhhhh..." for once the Motor Mouth was speechless. But anybody would be if they just threw a child's father out of a moving vehicle.

You approached the kid with your hands up. She backed away as you came closer. "Hey kid, I don't bite, just wanna help."

"You can help me find my dad?" She relaxed a bit, still slightly tense.

"We can try. What's your name?"

"Tori."

"Hey Tori, I'm (y/n) and this is Jay." You gestured to the blue boi.

"You guys are ninja! The ninja are bad!" Tori exclaimed, backing away some more. You held your hands up, continuing to walk towards her.

"We just want to help." You informed the girl, but she glared at Jay. Noticing this, you shooed the ninja away. Getting what you meant, he ran off to the next car to find the others.

You turned back to the little snake, who had now visibly relaxed. You offered your hand, which she took after much hesitation, and led her to where Jay had ran off.

You could hear the boys and Nya ahead and stopped, turning to Tori.

"The other ninja are right ahead, so promise not to freak out?" You asked the girl, who was slightly trembling now.

She looked onward, a brave look on her face. "Okay."

With Tori hiding behind you, you joined the others. For some reason Zane was holding Kai in his arms, but that didn't matter now. What really mattered was getting the fangblades back.

Kai ran towards the last car. "Pythor's in there with the four fangblades. Who's first?" But as soon as he uttered the words, Wu ran ahead, detaching the car cable.

"Sensei!"

"What are you doing?"

'Fool! He cant do this alone!'

Everyone stared as the car slowed down, while Wu sped up, stretching farther away. "My destiny is to face Pythor alone. Your destiny is to look after Lloyd!"

"This is turning into a habit with him!" Kai growled angrily. "How do we get off this thing?!"

Eventually, the snus came to a stop. You would've teleported to your sensei, but you didn't want to leave Tori with the ninja. Even though Nya was there, the little snake girl didn't seem to trust the others much.

"So (y/n), you gonna explain why there's a Venomari clinging to your leg?" Flamebrain questioned, hostility in his voice.

Tori hissed at the hothead, keeping her distance.

You and Jay shared a look, the blueberry looking a little guilty. He rubbed the back of his neck as you explained. "Someone accidentally separated her from her dad. I'm just watching her until we find her dad."

Nya waked over to the young snakelet, sympathy in her eyes. "Hey kid. Don't worry, we'll find your dad."

Tori simply glared at the samurai, slightly cowering as she spoke. "You better, j-just leave me alone!" She gripped your leg tighter, making you feel a bit protective.

Zane stepped forward. "She seems to like (y/n) more than the rest of us."

"I don't care who she likes, as long as she's not spitting any of that venom at us." The Fire Ninja butted in.

You rolled your eyes at his hostility, and kneeled down to whisper into Tori's ear. "Once we get out of here and get the fangblades back, we can play a few pranks on the red one."

That got a grin on the girls' face. She hissed at Kai, making him step back a bit.

'I like this one' Keenan chuckled at Tori's hostile tone.

Soon Lloyd came to the groups rescue, using the Bounty's anchor to hook onto the snus, carrying it towards Ouroboros.

The ninja ran to the arena where they had previously fought Nya, only to see their sensei pinning Pythor down.

The Great Devourer was awakening.

"What's going on? What's that thing underground?" Kai questioned.

"What else could it be Flamebrain?" You retorted.

Wu looked at his pupils, sadness in his eyes. "You must do everything in your power to stop the Great Devourer! Go ninja, go!"

"No! Sensei!"

The giant snake burst up from the ground, almost flying up into the sky.

"That's what dad wanted to awaken?!" Tori asked, seeming more scared than before.

You looked on in utter terror at the size of the beast. It would be tough to beat that.

Sorry that took forever to publish! Schools becoming more and more stressful and with my birthday coming up it's been a busy couple of days...
