Chapter 6
Tai
Hakuni Falls. It really has been a long time since I been here with Sky. It's kind of hard to believe that we had grown up and choose different lives for ourselves.
As we walked through towards the cave, the special hideout that Sky and I used to go to together, laughing and playing together.
But I knew that it was not our first time going to see the Equinox, it will be Hiccup's first time experiencing this.
Sky was silent mostly because of what to expect of the eve of the event, as well I do.
Hiccup
I was amazed of seeing this place. I can tell how it special for my sister and Tai. I glanced at the sight of a mural carving on a wall.
It must've been made a long time ago, as it was shown it was an image of two kids holding hands side by side.
It made me realize that it was supposed to be Sky and Tai as kids! As I walked past the drawing, I noticed them were looking at the direction of the Equinox.
"Whoa. Is this the Equinox?" I asked, being truly mesmerized of the Great Spirits flowing around us.
The Razorwhip looked down at me, with a sad smile, "Yeah, Hic. This is it."
Just watching it seems so beautiful and enchanting, as that Skyla and Tai weren't too surprised of how much it meant to them.
Tai said, "My mother is up there somewhere."
I replied, "Both of my parents are up there too. Along with Ryic, Sky's brother. Do you miss your mother?"
"Yes. I do. But you don't have to wait for the lights to find her. She will always be right here." He said, touching my heart.
"Once you love someone, they stay in your heart forever."
I hugged Tai, as that his words were very sincere and true, and it made me know the truth of his feelings.
He loved my sister since she gave her amulet to him.
Sky said, "It's time."
Tai
I got down to my knees and started a little fire to summon the bond of the amulet back to the Spirits.
I knew it had to be done, as I took off the amulet and dropped it into the fire. We watched the fire shimmers flew into the spirits.
I smiled at the little night fury. "Hiccup, I had such a great time of spending time with you. You're an amazing friend i've ever got."
I heard was roaring coming out of him, as it dawns on me of when the amulet was burnt, the spell to understand dragon language was gone as well.
"Oh, no. The spell." I said, as Sky was looking sad of me not understanding her as she roars at me.
I hung my head, as that I was hurt of not able to communicate with them anymore. I did say one thing before I go back home.
"Sky, Hiccup. Goodbye."
I went down the falls and started my journey home. The journey made me consider of how much I needed, to reconnect with my childhood best friend.
It showed us how much we had changed, our own destines had decided for us, and what can be done.
I kind of wished I've told Skyla how I truly feel but it seems like i was too late.
Hiccup
As Sky and I finally made it to Blueberry Hills, I see was a heartbroken sister. Her eyes weren't sparking with happiness, but more of a deep sadness.
I know the reason why she wasn't so active so much, of why that she wasn't fully paying attention around her.
She was thinking about Tai. I knew I couldn't let it slide. Even though that she was once human, it can be very easy to see how she was truly feeling.
We been through so much, and I can feel what she was thinking without communication in mind.
I have to speak my mind as I took out a deep breath as I glanced at the dragon with a curious expression, wanting to make sure my suspicions are true.
"Skyla, I was wondering... Did you give Tai the amulet because you loved him?"
She was surprised of how I asked the question as she sighs, replying, "It was a long time ago, Hiccup. "
"C'mon, you do love him. He's right there with you, in here." I said, touching her heart, "I can tell how deeply he cared about you."
"Awe Hiccup. It doesn't matter anymore." She sighs, but I said, "If you do love him, should you tell him? It is quite noticeable to me."
"Hiccup, if I do, I don't know if I could. The bond of the amulet is broken, so we couldn't talk normally to each other." She said sadly, then she tries to change the subject.
"Hey, I told you we were able to make it to Blueberry Hills. How about in the morning, we get some berries and salmon. That sounds good?"
As she walks away, I knew that I had to think of something, to make them both happy.
I looked up to see the Great Spirits flowing in the sky. I decided to talk to my parents. "Mom. Dad. Skyla looked so sad and unhappy. It's all because of me. I.. I can take care of myself. Tell the spirits to change Sky back so she can be happy."
I was flying through the forest to go to Tai's village, as Heather and Dagur saw me. "Hiccup, wait a second, where you going?" Heather asked me.
"It's something I need to do. I have bring Tai back to Sky!" I replied as Dagur said, trying to stop me, "Hiccup, what you mean by , "Bringing Tai back? What happened at Hakuni Falls?"
I didn't reply back to him as I continue on my way.
