Fallin'
Two weeks later...
Ah, 2 weeks of school left, and it's vacation for me! Just think of all the places I could go, things I could do-
Oh, wait. I'm not rich anymore.
Shoot. I have to get this spell over and done before the end of the school, otherwise it might last forever!
No, no, stop exaggerating, Ronnie. There's no guarantee that this is for eternity.
Oh no, the sorceress didn't even tell me how long this curse will last! Ugh, how stupid of me not to ask!
Speaking of which, she did come to me the night of the party.
Flashback
I was so flushed with the previous events. Harry was just too sweet earlier. We just talked the whole time, cracking jokes here and there, just those stuff.
We reached my house after. Yes, he escorted me back home. Problem?
"So, uh, I'll see you around?", he asked, scratching the back of his neck. Hey, that's just what I do.
"Yeah. Thanks, by the way.", I said, and kissed his cheek, shutting the door quickly.
I went up my room and fell on my bed. I was squealing, for crying out loud! This is bad.
"Hello!", a voice broke me out of Imagination Land.
"Ah! Stop sneaking around like that!", I said, pouting. She just laughed and sat next to me.
"So, lover boy starting to fall for you?", , she asked, to which I just blushed at. I hate how she calls him 'lover boy'.
"I actually don't know for sure.", I said and silence filled the room.
"But, hey, do you think he knew me before? You know, as best friends? 'Cause Yvonne and Christy stayed the same with me, only their appearances changed.", I asked her.
She stayed silent for a while, almost like trying to figure out something to say. And that was bothering me a bit.
"Um, n- no, my dear. The curse worked on both you and him, so that means you both don't remember your past with each other.", she explained, trying to look calm and composed, and failing.
"But-", I was cut off by her saying 'toodles' and leaving. Well, that was weird.
The thing is, I can remember our past. The fact that she's not telling me something is making me off.
Whatever. I'm gonna enjoy this night, remembering the moments with that jerk I'm starting to fall for.
*end of flashback*
"Hello? Ronnie? Ron!", someone yelled at me, causing me to jump in my seat. Yvonne was there, along with Christy, looking worried.
"What's the matter? You looked so deep in thought.", Yvonne asked, scanning my face.
I fixed my glasses and shook my head. "Uh, nothing. I was just, um, thinking of all the activities I could do for vacation."
Partly, that was what I was doing.
"Okay then. So, how's lover boy?", Christy teased, smirking. I nearly choked on my drink.
"Ooh, this I wanna hear.", Yvonne added, placing her head over her elbows for support, leaning towards me.
"Uh, nothing. We just watched some dumb chick flick.", I said, scratching the back of my head again.
These past few weeks since the party, Harry kept insisting on doing something together. He didn't really say the word 'date', and I didn't think our outings any more than that.
"Well, it's not dumb if you're blushing like crazy just narrating it.", Yvonne said, and my eyes widened.
"Oh, don't look so surprised. Every time you mention his name. It's like you have a little crush on him.", Christy teased again.
I had no idea I blush every time I say his name. I guess it's in my system already. Or maybe the twins are just exaggerating, as usual.
"OMG, you do have a crush on him, don't you?", they asked with wide eyes, and as much as I wanted to answer them a simple 'no', somehow, I couldn't.
Why?
Ring!
Oh, thank goodness!
"Yeah, gotta go guys! History. See you later.", I ranted, grabbing my bag and walked away in a hurry. The twins just looked at each other with that stupid smile on their faces.
Ugh, I know what that means.
I reach my History class, thank goodness, on time. Lately, I've always been the one scolded by teachers because of my tardiness.
I took a seat and sighed in relief. I took out my notebooks and got out a pen, ready for notes.
Man, this curse really messed with my lifestyle.
"Once a nerd, always a nerd.", a voice sneeked up to me, startling me a little.
"Goodness, Harry! Stop doing that will you?", I said, holding my chest.
"Oh, stop, drama queen.", he said, sitting beside me.
I looked at him and I just smiled. These past two weeks made me know Harry on a whole new perspective. Back in middle school, we were just two, stupid teenagers.
I watched as he laughed at what I said earlier. I loved it every time he smiled. His eyes crinkle and his dimples appear. It's amazing how it's hot and cute at the same time.
"Had enough?", he said, smirking, snapping me out of my imagination.
"I wasn't staring at you.", I tried my best to look at something else rather than him.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that, love.", he said, smiling at me.
Wait, did he just call me 'love'?
"Did you just call me-"
"Okay, good morning, class.", our professor entered, cutting me off. Dang it, so close!
---
The rest of the day was boring. Lecture here, lecture there, pop quiz here and there, and so on. I was eager for the end of classes.
"Hey, you! We were looking all over for you!", the twins called out to me, all excited. What's going on?
"What are you all giddy about?", I asked, cocking my eyebrows.
"Well, you know about that restaurant that's opening tonight?", Christy led me on, me nodding.
"Yeah, that really fancy one that we can't afford?", I said, which earned glares from them.
"Haha, very funny. Anyway, they were giving 200 tickets for free. 1 ticket equals all-you-can-eat buffet, baby.", Christy added, sounding proud.
"Wait, a restaurant giving away tickets? Don't only movie booths do that?", I asked. I was right, wasn't I?
"I think you should be asking, 'So did you get these so-called tickets?' , eyes wide and squealing in excitement.", Yvonne said with a straight face, me holding back my laughter.
"Okay. So did you get these so-called tickets?", I said, my eyes widening and me squealing, just like she asked me to.
They rolled their eyes at me, and after a while of silence, we started laughing. Some people were already looking at us like we just got out of a mental hospital.
"Yes, yes, we did.", they answered after calming down a bit.
"Okay, so where are the tickets then?", I asked, and they searched their pockets, but didn't pull out anything.
"Oh my gosh. Christy, where did you place them?", Yvonne said frantically and I smacked myself in the face.
This can't be happening. We've waited so long for this restaurant to open. Ugh.
"Please don't tell me you misplaced them, guys.", I pleaded, looking at them.
Suddenly, Yvonne pulled something out of her pocket.
Or should I say, 'somethings'.
"Ta-da!", she said, waving the tickets in my face, Christy laughing along.
"I hate you both.", I said.
A/N: Just added a little bit of humor to lighten things up, for now. Thanks for the growing amount of reads, guys! One step at a time, I know we'll reach our goal, just like we did at my first story. Hope you're still reading and love lots! Bye, my mangoes! :-)
