After a few days Naruto,who had been scared of Rika, began to like her and think of her like a mother. Sense Rika lived alone she moved out of her one bedroom apartment and moved in with Kakashi. Naruto had finally begun to recover not only physically but also mentally. It looks like Mikoto was right all he need was a mothers love. With that out of the way Kakashi had one more thing to deal with, The Village Elders.

There are four elders in all, but on above all off them was in Kakashi's way. Danzo the foundation's leader. Danzo had the village at heart but his methods of protecting the village was wrong. If he had his way Naruto would be a weapon of war and Kakashi would die before he let that happen. Today Kakashi was to meet with the elders, but the only two elders he real cared about taking to were the Third Hokage and Danzo.

Danzo had black hair and a bandage around one of his eyes. He also had an X scar on his chin. Kakashi knew he would try to convince the others to use Naruto as a weapon and only the Third Hokage would say no. Even so Danzo has gone behind the Hokage's back. Kakashi wanted to make sure Danzo understood this wouldn't happen. They had all gathered in a meeting room late at night to begin discussing Naruto.

"So how is Naruto?" Lord Third asked Kakashi.

"He is fine now." Kakashi said. "He is finally healing mentally."

"You talk as if he is a normal boy." The female elder said.

"He is," Kakashi said. "And anyone who tells him other wise will die at my hands. So do try to keep your big mouth shut you old bat."

She was angry at Kakashi but the Hokage stopped their bickering, but then Danzo spoke.

"She is right," Danzo said. "The boy isn't normal he's a threat to the village. I say we throw him in a sealed kage and use him against the other Nations."

"Danzo," Kakashi said. "The way naruto is, he is no threat to the village. I on the other hand am. Come after Naruto, and this goes for everyone in the village, I will personally kill you."

"Kakashi..." Lord Third said.

"Naruto's father gave his life for the village and his son." Kakashi said. "I will repay the debt we all carry by raising his son and anyone who thinks other wise with meet their end starting today. So... any of you going to stop me?"

Danzo and the other elders went to say something, but got silenced by the Third Hokage. He knew Kakashi would do everything he said. Naruto was now like a son to him and as a father him self the Hokage knows how far Kakashi will go. After a few seconds of silence kakashi took the answer as a 'no'.

"Also," Kakashi said. "You need to strengthen the bond of the village and the Uchiha. They feel betrayed and want to separate from the village. It could be a civil war."

"Are you sure?" The Hokage asked. "Would they go that far?"

"Yes," Kakashi said. "And if that happens then Naruto may have to fight in that war. I will not let that happen. If you do not fix the ties we have with the Uchiha then maybe we need a new Hokage. So what will you do?"

"Fine." The Hokage said. "I will strengthen are ties with the Uchiha clan in hopes of ending a coming war."

"Then I will take my leave." Kakashi said taking off into the night sky.

"Why did you agree Sarutobi?" Danzo asked.

"Kakashi wants what's best for Naruto and the village. Naruto being raised by Kakashi is what's best for Naruto and strengthening are bond with the Uchiha will help the village." The Hokage said. "We owe this much to Minato and the Uchiha clan, but if I find out your going behind my back I will punish you, Danzo."

"Very well." Danzo said leaving the Third Hokage.

Danzo didn't care about the thoughts of the Hokage or Kakashi. He was set on using Naruto and he would find some way to do so. Of course Kakashi knew this and he planned to kill Danzo the moment he tried something stupid. That was the end result of the meeting.

The next day Kakashi keep a close eye on Naruto. He would do this until Danzo was dead or until Naruto could beat Danzo. It wasn't going to be easy protecting Naruto, but being a parent never was suppose to be easy. As the days past Kakashi began to notice the constant watching ANBU. Naruto never noticed he was always to busy playing with his new friend Sasuke and Sasuke's brother Itachi, but both Itachi and Kakashi seemed to notice.

Kakashi didn't care if they watched just as long as they don't touch Naruto, but he made sure they knew that Kakashi knew they were there. He would look right at them to they could see he knew where they were hiding. Just like Kakashi thought, they wouldn't get to close to Naruto and he was happy about that, but he was always watching either with a clone or his physical self never was Naruto out of sight. This caused problems for Danzo and that's what Kakashi wanted.
