I think this and Food Inc just put me off eating meat for life. I don't eat as much meat as I used to. Mostly because I can't eat pork products, red meats always feel so heavy in my stomach after I eat them, seafood can be pretty expensive and my family only eats poultry on special occasions.

Animal produced products have also been lessened in my diet, I can't stand eggs but I still drink milk and use dairy. But not as much as I used to since I might have become lactose intolerant a few months ago, it's gone now but too much milk can make me a bit gassy.

I was thinking, maybe I could be a vegetarian? Or at least a pescetarian, since I still love fish. I don't eat a lot of meat nowadays and I don't think I'll eat any more after finding out about what happens in a slaughterhouse. I can't believe that people think it's okay to torture animals like that. They have feelings too and can feel pain just as much as we do. I plan to become a marine biologist and study ocean life and it sickens me to see people continue to overfish using large nets that can catch endangered sea animals like dolphins and sea turtles. Calling them by-catches is just wrong to me, on the topic of this.

But what sickens me the most is whaling, or hunting any game animal really. If I ever met Paul I would like to talk to him about this topic, it's what gets to me the most. Why would anyone want to drive an entire species to extinction?! Yet people justify this by saying its for Research purposes yeah right. You people just want to brag about killing the largest animal on earth and getting enough blubber to fill a building. This isn't the 1600s anymore where we needed oil lamps and didn't have enough food to eat. We don't need to hunt whales for any reason! I find it disgusting that people still hunt animals that might not be around in a few years time. Sorry for that rant, whales and other cetaceans are my favorite animals and I just can't stand seeing people trying to justify them being slaughtered. 🐋🐳🐳🐳

Are any of you vegetarians? I'm really curious about this and I might be one as well. I have had some vegetarian food like soy beans and almond milk before and they really taste good.
