So, the other day, the 1st nd of May, a 17 year old boy called Michael Gill committed suicide.

A 17 year old boy.

At just 17 years of age he made the decision to take his own life as a result of depression and bullies.

Now that is extremely sad that a boy as young as him took his own life due to bullies.

It just goes to show that words hurt.

I didn't know him personally but I learnt that he suffered with depression for most of his life which is also something I suffer from.

I understand his struggle and his daily battle but the fact that people let it get as bad as it did - bad enough to drive him to suicide - Is terrifying. All because of what people said.

He posted a picture of himself in February where he was shirtless holding his middle finger up, and all down his arm were cuts. But he posted the picture to say that he'd been clean for a period of time and people; bullies. Told him he should kill himself.

So thats what he did.

In the late hours of the 1st of May he took his own life.

His family are now raising money for his funeral.

I wanted to share this to show that words hurt and that bullying can lead to devastating actions.

And although I didn't know him personally, it is affecting me as it is such a devastating thing. It's also affecting me because I understand what he was going through.
