Chapter 10: Making a Stand

Ruins Zone

Neito swore loudly as he fought back the urge to cry out in pain. One second he'd been walking alongside Itsuka and the next he was falling before falling on his right arm weirdly on a roof of some ruined building. He slammed his left fist down, blinking back tears of pain.

"Monoma, you alright!?"

Neito lifted his head to see Kaibara forcing his way out of some crates he crashed into, stumbling towards him.

"Peachy," he managed to gasp out, before attempting to pick himself up, which his arm did not agree with. He swore again.

"Here, let me," Kaibara said, helping to lift Neito up gingerly by his other arm.

"Thanks," Neito hissed through gritted teeth. "Didn't realize you had it in you, Kaibara."

"Huh?"

Neito forced a smirk. "You sounded pretty desperate asking if I was okay. What happened to that serious demeanor?"

Kaibara groaned, palming his face. "Even injured you act like your usual self. I'm not surprised." He shook his head. "Can't believe the teachers let you get injured like that."

"I don't think they had any say in it," Neito said, stumbling to the edge of the roof, careful not to misplace his feet in any of the cracks. Heck, he was praying this building didn't collapse at the slightest step. He stared out towards the central plaza. "I can just barely make Vlad-sensei, All Might, and Thirteen out. I think they're the only ones there... wait, no." He squinted. "I think there's..." he trailed off as All Might turned and began running, bulking up, only to disappear suddenly and reappear over the wall outside the Downpour Zone's dome. Then, with horror, watched as All Might was punched hard enough to send him crashing near the central fountain.

"No way," Kaibara breathed, having joined him. "They just... punched him. And did that. But he's... he's All Might."

Neito could only watch as he watched his teacher, Kan-sensei, and Thirteen get blasted back by twin beams of energy. Then his other teacher, the former Number 1, attempted to attack the villain who'd punched him, only to be knocked back again with such force that they heard the sound before they felt the shock wave, making the building they stood upon shake.

Neito was shaking. It aggravated his injured arm, but he felt numb to the pain at the moment. "That's... that's a villain. Villains are attacking."

"Uh, Monoma?" A tug on his left sleeve. Neito looked at Kaibara, only to see him looking behind them. He followed his gaze to see two cloaked figures just standing at the other end of the slightly slanted rooftop.

"That's why we're here," Neito realized. "And why our other classmates aren't anywhere to be seen. They were teleported as well. Villains are... attacking us."

As one, the villains took a step towards them. Then another. But as Neito and Kaibara watched, the villains began to sway. Then both twirled, locking hands as they came back around, each placing a foot forwards, side-by-side.

"I want you to grab me and leap us off the building," Neito whispered to Kaibara.

"What?" Kaibara looked at him in shock.

"Don't worry about my arm," Neito didn't take his eyes off the, of all things, dancing villains, who were both beginning to glow. The one on the right developing a white aura and the other a red aura. "We just need to get away, into the building and escape. Now!"

Swearing beneath his breath, Kaibara tugged Neito to him and threw them off the side. Wind rushed past them as Neito registered pain. Kaibara slammed his metal-armored fingers into the side of the building, digging deep grooves as he rotated them at high speeds. Their fall slowed enough to the point where Neito managed to swing his leg into an open window. He cried out as it slammed into the cement, but he forced himself to use Kaibara's quirk and rotate his leg, changing their trajectory. They fell through the window and collapsed in a huddled heap.

Neito must have blacked out, because the next thing he knew, Kaibara was pulling him up. "Come on, we need to move!"

"Y-yeah," Neito managed to get out. His leg throbbed and his right arm felt like it was on fire. Seriously, how the hell did Midoriya do it, breaking himself and acting like it wasn't bothering him!?

Kaibara dragged him out into a hallway, cracked down the middle with a fissure. The next room over was more slanted to the point where they weren't likely to be able to stand up straight. Just as Neito was about to suggest they go down the hallway, off to the left one of the villains crashed through the ceiling, their red aura dimmed by the dust cloud surrounding them. A red tail seemingly made of energy whipped around their person, pointed at the end like a devil's tail.

Neito managed to glimpse matching red horns protruding from the top of their cloak before Kaibara spoke. "Sorry about this." That was his only warning before he leaped over the fissure and together they hit the floor, sliding down it towards the open windows. Neito hissed in pain, but prepared to leap out the window when they approached it. The next building over was only a meter away from the looks of it.

Together they jumped the gap out the window and Neito only just then realized the window they were aiming for still had shards of glass connected to it. Kaibara let out a yell, swinging his spinning leg and shattered the glass before he and Neito crashed through. Neito cried out, but didn't black out this time.

As they were standing, the room brightened as a harsh glow emanated from behind. They turned to see the other villain hovering just outside the window with white, feathery wings like those of an angel. There was even a golden halo above their head, Neito realized as they raised one arm. The light grew more intense before it exploded with energy, shattering any remaining glass and blasting both boys back. Kaibara hit the wall while Neito flew out the doorway and into another room where he slid to a stop.

His vision was hazy with pain. His ears weren't working right either. He vaguely saw Kaibara stumble into the room, limping. Neito shook his head, trying to clear the fog as he began pulling himself up. They had to escape. Whoever these villains were, they weren't playing around.

Neito reached for the hand Kaibara was offering him, only to watch as another cloaked figure stepped into the room. Before he could even utter a warning, something was pressed up against Kaibara's nose. The boy stumbled, swaying left and right before falling to the side, trying but failing to get up.

Neito was scrambling backwards. When had he decided to do that? It was as if his body was moving on instinct...

His eyes trailed the flower that fell to the ground beside Kaibara. A green flower. A green rose.

"Well well, Neito. Looks like you did get into UA," a sickly sweet voice spoke from beneath the hood. It was pushed back and Neito's eyes widened. He found himself rooted to the spot in growing horror as he stared at the very familiar face. "I should congratulate you," Ureha Ueno said, her eyes wide with absolute delight as she wore a devilish grin. "You filthy copycat!"

...

Landslide Zone

Izuku stared in shock at the villain's exposed face. Even after she'd snapped her fingers and three new villains appeared over the rise, he could only stare. "You're..." He shook himself from his stupor. "You're young."

"Why thank you, fledgling," the villain batted her eyelashes. "But flattery won't-"

"No, that's not what I meant," Izuku took a look at the new villains approaching them, two of them wearing cloaks while another wore a black hoodie and face mask like the first. It hadn't stood out to him until now, but having seen her face, it became startlingly clear. "You're our age."

The other villains suddenly stopped behind the sonic boom villain as she stared down at Izuku, silent for a good few seconds before narrowing her eyes. "What, you saying villains can't come in all ages, fledgling?" She sighed. "I knew this wasn't going to work. Not forever at any rate." She tore at her mask, ripping it off her face as she grinned. "You've already seen my face, so what's the point in hiding it, eh? 'Sides, that mask was stifling as hell."

She slammed her foot on the ground, the sonic blast shaking the ground, making Izuku nearly fall if it weren't for Kodai grabbing onto his shoulders to steady him.

"Thanks," Izuku said, finding his footing again, and Kodai nodded, her frightful eyes not leaving the villains. He glanced around to see both Fukidashi and Awase behind them. Fukidashi was shaking slightly while Awase's jaw was clenched, glaring at the villains. But even then, he could notice him slightly shaking.

They feel scared, Izuku realized. Like me. His own hands were shaking. He still couldn't believe he had fired a Delaware Smash at the villain. It was like being back in that alley, rushing towards the sludge villain. So scared he didn't know what to think. But regardless, he had rushed forward to protect Kacchan. And he had used One For All to protect his classmates. The difference was that he had power now. He could fight now.

"Some of you have powerful quirks if used a certain way, could kill. And for others it's easier than most. There's a reason why quirks are strictly regulated, as one false move or if you don't think, your power can be deadly."

"You hero students think you're so special," the villain ranted. "But let me tell you, you're nothing!"

"We're going to have to fight," Izuku said, tightening his fists.

"What!?" Awase hissed. "Are you crazy!?"

"They're toying with us, but they could very easily change tactics and aim to kill," Izuku told him. "We need to make a stand or we die." He was shaking now. Gods, he was scared. But right now his classmates, the ones here and those he couldn't see, were in danger. And if One For All could be used to help them, then he'd break himself as many times as it would take to do so.

"-it's heroes and their- Hey, are you even listening!?" The girl cut off her rant, glaring down at them angrily. "Okay, that's it! Who's ready to meet their maker!?" She slammed both fists down on the ground, the resulting wave of sound, ripping up the earth towards them.

Izuku felt his body move. He could feel his joints and his muscles moving in tandem. One For All coursed through him and he channeled that into his right arm and into his fist while maintaining a low power output throughout his person. One For All, 5%! "TEXAS SMASH!" He punched and the resulting windblast tore up the ground, crashing into the incoming sound wave and overpowered it before the wind petered out.

Izuku grimaced. Either he still hadn't managed to fully control the power output, or 5% was still too much for him to handle. But nothing was broken, so that was good. He could still throw some more punches.

"Fucking hell," Awase cursed, coming to stand beside Izuku as he grabbed some wooden blocks from his pouches. "Fine, let's kick their collective asses!" He gave a shaky grin. "You can count on me, Midoriya."

Izuku smiled back. "Thanks."

"Looks like they're all ready to play," the villain smirked in amusement. "Good. Now we can have ourselves some real fun. Give 'em hell!"

One of the cloaked villains beside her jerked, his body enlarging as his limbs thrashed. He tore through the fabric with black claws, revealing a gray furred chest as he threw back his large wolf head and howled. He leaped forwards, jaws wide and a maniac look in his feral eyes.

Fukidashi ran forwards, shouting, "SLAAAAAAAAAAAM!" The kanji erupted from the ground, a meter thick and several tall, slamming into the wolf villain and sending him all the way back up the hill.

Izuku became aware of singing. Beautiful, melodic singing. Then he saw music notes pouring out from the other cloaked villain. Then the tone changed, becoming faster and louder. The notes responded in kind, swirling towards them while enlarging.

"Run!" Izuku shouted, pushing Kodai away and together they, Awase, and Fukidashi ran to the side as the large music notes crashed into the ground while others swerved to follow the UA students.

"Can you stop them, Fukidashi!?" Izuku shouted as he and Kodai ducked behind a wall sticking out from the dirt.

Fukidashi ducked under cover with them, Awase right behind him. He poked his head out and yelled, "SCREEEEEEEEECH!" The kanji shot through the music notes trailing them, making them stop suddenly midair before falling to the ground.

"Good job-" Izuku began saying before thin blue beams of energy shot at the wall, one of the beams clipping Fukidashi on the shoulder. The boy cried out in pain as he jerked back.

Crap, that must be the fourth villain! Izuku risked a glance over the low wall and saw the other hoodie wearing villain skidding down towards them, holding a rock in his left hand. As he watched, the rock collapsed into a pile of blue light energy before dispersing into tiny balls that swirled above his palm. He shot out his hand and they streaked forwards. Izuku ducked behind the wall and the beams shot overhead before turning back around, aiming for them.

Kodai yanked Izuku to the side and Awase did the same for Fukidashi and the beams blasted against the wall, blowing chunks out of it. Izuku was about to stand when he saw a shadow leap over the wall. The werewolf villain turned midair, landing on all fours as it snarled in his and Kodai's direction. When he lunged, Izuku threw himself forwards.

"Detroit-!" He shouted, but the werewolf ducked beneath the punch and slammed a paw against his stomach. Izuku flew over Kodai, tumbling across the ground and coming to a stop against a half-covered bush. He grimaced in pain. He had channeled One For All through his legs, and while not enough to beat the speed of the villain, it had been enough to strain his muscles and bones.

His hands flew to his chest, expecting them to come back with blood from the werewolf's swipe, but came up with nothing. His gym clothes hadn't even been torn. He could have easily mortally wounded me right there. Why didn't he-

He heard an animalistic howl of pain and looked up to see the werewolf tumbling down the landslide after being slammed by a giant screw. Awase slid down towards him, slamming down metal cylinders on one of the villain's arms, melding him to the ground.

Suddenly the low wall exploded, sending Fukidashi and Kodai tumbling down as loud bursts of song were quickly followed by more gigantic music notes. Eyes wide, Izuku blasted forwards, ignoring the sudden flare of pain in his legs as he drew his left arm back. "TEXAS-!" The music notes were almost upon them as he swung his fist. "SMASH!"

The gale blasted forth, shattering the music notes in explosions of sounds. The wind carried onwards, tearing up the earth and sending the singing villain backwards by a dozen yards where they slammed into the branches of a tree.

"AUGH!" Izuku fell to the ground, gritting his teeth in pain. He hadn't meant to use as much power as he had. He was aiming for somewhere around 20%, but had likely used around 50%. His arm was broken, he was sure of that.

"Well damn!" The blonde villain popped out from behind a boulder. "That was some punch!" She rubbed her hands together in glee. "You've been holding back on us."

"Look at his arm," the beam energy villain said, hauling himself to his feet where he had been knocked to the ground by Izuku's punch. "He busted it up."

"Well, I guess that means we don't need to do much to take him out of commission," she quipped.

Awase had tripped backwards as the werewolf ripped free of the metal, growling down at the boy as he loomed over him. Fukidashi was on his stomach and not moving as Kodai held her arm as she lifted herself up.

Izuku staggered to his feet, tightening his right hand into a fist. I don't care what it costs me, I won't let my friends get hurt! One For All buzzed through him, lighting him up. I have to protect them, no matter the cost!

...

Central Plaza

As soon as All Might had been punched across the plaza, Vlad King moved into action, blood already pouring forth from his gauntlets. But the villain was quicker, blasting him and Thirteen with twin rays of energy that blasted them back twenty meters.

Vlad King grunted, on one knee as he held his arms aloft, his blood shield having managed to block most of the energy from him and Thirteen. Thirteen was getting to her feet, tapping at a button on the side of her helmet. "Vlad, I'm not getting through to the school. They're blocking communications somehow."

"So they know what they're doing," Vlad King shifted his stance as the cloaked villain leaped from the wall towards them. "Thirteen!"

The Space Hero didn't hesitate, unlatching the cap for her right index finger. Instantly a layer of the ground began ripping up and was sucked into the black hole, turning into dust.

"Oh, that is interesting," the villain said as her cloak threatened to tear away from her. "I always wondered what it would be like to be on the receiving end of a black hole. But something else I always was curious about-" she held up a hand, her skin a pale gray before it became enveloped in darkness and began sucking in everything around it. "Was if two black holes collided!"

Vlad King's eyes widened. She had black hole as well! What would happen if-!?

He didn't have to wait long to find out. Thirteen was jerked forwards with a gasp, stumbling as she tried digging in her feet. The villain laughed as she too was drawn forwards. "Oh this feels weird! Alright, Thirteen, let's see what kind of hero you really are!"

The blackness disappeared from her hand and the villain immediately was thrown forwards towards Thirteen's Black Hole. Eyes going wide, Thirteen canceled her quirk instantly.

"As I thought!" Light blasted from the villain, blasting both Thirteen and Vlad King with heat and energy.

Ignoring the pain, Vlad King closed the distance between them, his blood flowing over the villain and solidifying. He reared back his fist to knock her unconscious, but suddenly a massive force was expelled from her, shattering his blood and blasting him backwards.

"I may not be as experienced as a pro like you, Vlad King, but I'm not someone to be reckoned with either," the villain spoke. "I'm not planning on losing here. And neither is my friend. She's the perfect counter to All Might. Not to mention all those hero hopefuls out there currently in above their heads."

"I may have only observed them in action a few times," Vlad King grunted, rising to his feet. He was deeply worried for his students, but he couldn't leave and help, that wasn't an option right now. However... "But what I do know is that my students are resourceful and able to overcome challenges. And..." The shattered blood on the ground liquified and absorbed back into his body after being purified through his gauntlets. "Clearly you don't know a lot about heroes. We don't give up, not when there are lives at stake."

A resounding boom echoed from the central fountain. Vlad King grinned as the villain jerked her head around, her posture one of surprise. He quickly turned to Thirteen. "Go! Help whoever you can find! You're not a match for this villain!"

Thirteen didn't argue, only nodding as she took off for the Flood Zone, where a massive storm had formed, turning the calm water into a raging ocean. Vlad King turned back around, launching himself towards the villain.

...

Central Plaza

All Might caught the punch in his palm, gripping down the villain's fist. He twisted his body in a blur of movement as he yanked the villain around, launching her across the ground. He rocketed forwards, somersaulting, and appeared above her as she was still in movement and punched downwards. "California Smash!" The impact of her body slamming into the ground blasted a crater into existence, the villain gasping out in pain.

"As I said," All Might said, standing above her. "When it comes to protecting my students, I won't hold back against the likes of you."

"Damn," she coughed. "So that's how it feels to be punched by you." She rose to a sitting position, her hood falling off. Long hair cascaded down her shoulders, lighting up as scarlet energy crackled around her being. "But it's not enough."

All Might's eyes had widened. Now that he got a look at her face, wasn't she rather young-

He was flying backwards, and for a moment he wondered what happened before the girl appeared above him, both fists slamming down towards his chest. Red energy blasted upwards as he was pounded into the earth.

He'd hesitated. As soon as he saw how young this villain was, he hesitated, and that had allowed her to get a good hit in. He had a time limit of around twenty minutes, but if he kept taking hits like that he would run out of energy faster. He had to take her down fast, regardless of how old she was.

"You're far too young to be taking up villainy!" All Might raised his shoulders, slamming them back down into the ground, the shock wave blasting the girl into the air and propelling him up after her. "But still! I will defeat you and go save my students! Missouri Smash!" He slammed the flat of his hand against her, sending her crashing to earth as he landed just beyond her. He spun on his feet, launching himself for another attack. It pained him to attack while his opponent was down, not to mention so young, but she'd already proven she could shrug off his attacks. He couldn't afford to take chances.

"DETROIT-!" He yelled, power surging through his fist.

"ALL MIGHT!" Vlad King yelled.

The air rippled in front of the girl and a person stumbled through. It was too late to stop the punch as it crashed into the sudden arrival, launching them backwards. They skidded along the ground, trailing blood, before stopping in a heap.

All Might stared in shock, not quite believing what just happened. Laughter from the girl shook him from his stupor. She stood, flipping her hood back over. "Sorry it had to come to this, but there was no way I would have been able to beat you one-on-one. If it's any consolation, you never had a chance to begin with."

"What do you-!?" He cut off, pain flaring in every inch of his body. It felt like he was on fire. Like his blood was boiling. He fell, feeling an agony like he never felt before.

"A beshrew of blood," a voice rasped. All Might forced himself to raise his head, glaring through the pain as he saw the bloodied body of a dark skinned girl dragging herself towards him from where he had punched her. Her eyes were pitch black as she stared straight into his soul. "Feel thine wrath of thorns for thou hast spilt mine blood. Scream in agony for thou hast brought about thine own demise."

So All Might screamed.

"You- but it can't-!" Neito felt sick. He no longer felt the pain from his broken arm, but he could still feel the pain of hitting the ground after being tripped. The nausea he felt after inhaling those roses. The torment from all those whispers, all those accusations, all those times he was told he was never good enough. That he was just a damn copycat.

"Oh, but I'm afraid it is, my dear sweet Neito," Ueno cooed, before devolving into giggles. "It's been so long. We should get reacquainted!" A black rose grew from her hand as she gave him a sickly sweet smile.

Ureha Ueno. His tormentor from junior high. He knew her well. He also knew her quirk like the back of his hand, having been on the receiving end of it more times than he could count. "Smell the Roses"; a quirk that allows the user to create roses of any color. Each color has a unique aromatic effect, the black ones for instance causing extreme, albeit temporary, nausea. It was a blessing that unlike Komori's quirk where released spores would grow new mushrooms, Ueno's roses could only be grown from her body or where she has physically touched.

"Let's have some fun, Neito," Ueno crouched, twirling the rose in her hand. "Just like old ti-GAH!" She let out a strangled cry as she was thrown to the side, crashing against the wall as Kaibara's leg stopped rotating. He was breathing heavily, fists clenched and eyes narrowed.

"Kai-bara," Neito coughed out.

"Hold on, Monoma," Kaibara adopted a fighting stance as Ueno got to her feet. "She's not done yet."

"How the hell are you not on the floor still!?" Ueno glared daggers at the boy. "That rose was supposed to make you dizzy to the point of not being able to stand!"

"I have experience with being dizzy," Kaibara grinned as his arms began to rotate at high speeds. "And something tells me you don't have enough of that!" He shot forwards on spinning legs, kicking upwards with his left. Ueno dodged, but Kaibara spun around, slamming his arm into her side, sending her into the wall again with a crash.

"Well fuck this," Ueno groaned. "Ever hear of holding back!?"

"You're a villain," Kaibara told her with a hard stare. "And you clearly have a history with Monoma. Bad history. Based on what I heard, this is the least you deserve."

"Hah," Ueno gave an evil grin. "Trust me, I've already reaped what I sowed. And you wanna know something?" Her expression turned dark, all the while keeping that same smile. "I want revenge. No matter what it takes, I will make Neito's life a living hell! Him and that fucking bitch!"

The wall exploded next to Kaibara and he jumped back to avoid the debris, swinging his arms to block the bigger chunks of cement. The villain from before with the red demonic tail and horns twirled midair, their leg slamming against Kaibara's spinning arm. Grunting, Kaibara found himself pushed back.

"Perfect timing," Ueno chirped, popping back onto her feet. "Now where's your sis- Ah, there she is."

A brilliant radiance enveloped the room as the angelic villain hovered just outside the windows again. With a blast of explosive light that carved a new hole in the wall, she flew in.

Kaibara grabbed Neito and hauled him across the room where a hole in the floor was located. Neito braced for pain, the impact of landing jarring his arm.

"Sorry," Kaibara grunted before immediately taking off.

"Leave me," Neito muttered, his vision swimming. He didn't know how much longer he'd be able to hold consciousness.

"Not an option," Kaibara said through gritted teeth. The sound of crashing from the room they just left made him force his legs to rotate faster as he leaped them out a gaping hole in the building and into another. "Just hang in there, Monoma!"

...

Landslide Zone

The ground began to shake. Izuku stumbled, falling to his knees.

"What the-!" The blonde villain nearly fell forwards and Izuku saw his chance. He forced himself not to lose control as he leaped forwards. One For All, 3%! He slammed his fist into her shoulder and sent her flying. He tried to leap back, knowing that the other villain wouldn't just stand by, and he was correct. While on all fours on the still shaking ground, the other villain swept his hand across the earth, turning a section of the dirt into balls of energy that shot for him. Izuku held up his arms, crying out as the beams slammed into him, shooting him backwards.

He landed near Awase and the werewolf villain, the latter in the process of tripping onto his back after Awase managed to trap one of his feet in a metal block. The shaking began to cease and he saw Fukidashi gasping for breath, the kanji for "shake" fading away into the ground before the earth completely stilled. The werewolf swung his leg around, the metal block melded into it narrowly missing Awase as the boy dove out of the way. Moving through the pain in his arm, he launched himself at the villain, throwing out his right fist. 5%! "Detroit Smash!" He slammed it into the werewolf's middle, knocking him back.

"You okay, Awase!?" Izuku gasped out.

"Dude, look at your arm!" Awase gawked at him in disbelief. "You're the one not okay!"

"I'll be fine," Izuku looked back around for the energy villain, and saw them helping the blonde to her feet. "Fukidashi, do you think you can make the ground shake anymore?" He had an idea after seeing what Fukidashi had done, but it would largely depend on if the two quirks meshed together as he hoped they would.

"Gotta-" Fukidashi took in a gulp of air. "Catch my breath."

"I don't think we have a lot of fucking time on our hands!" Awase pointed and Izuku saw the singing villain making their way back over to them, their cloak in tatters, as long white hair flowed freely behind them. A howl of fury and rage tore from the werewolf's throat as he smashed the metal block to bits.

"Fukidashi!" Izuku knelt next to the boy. "Your onomatopoeia is tangible, right? As in we could touch it?" When the boy nodded, Izuku pressed on hurriedly. "And if you speak louder, the words get bigger, and their effect is greater! Right?!"

"Why the hell does that matter!?" Awase yelled as Fukidashi nodded.

Izuku took a shaky breath. "Alright then. I have a plan. Awase, I need you to bind us to something solid that won't move under extreme shaking." "What?!" "And Kodai," he turned to her, her eyes widening at his intense gaze. "I need you to use your quirk to make Fukidashi's words as large as possible!"

...

Central Plaza

Vlad King rushed forwards, managing to land a solid punch on the villain, following up with a wave of blood that slammed into her before being immediately sucked back into his body. He couldn't let her use her black hole to take away his blood. He only had so much to work with.

"Don't get cocky!" The villain shouted, rolling to her feet as she brought up her hands, firing twin beams of bright light. Vlad shielded himself with his hardened blood, continuing his charge. With a guttural cry, the villain pushed outwards with her hands and he saw the ground ripple as chunks blasted towards him. He jumped, boosting his height by pushing off with his blood. He shot a hardened clump that grazed her head before lassoing her with blood he hardened, but kept flexible. He pulled, yanking into the air where he slammed his gauntlet into her stomach and sent her crashing into the ground. Vlad King landed near her and yanked on his rope of blood and punched her again.

Another forceful outwards explosion nearly sent Vlad King flying, but he stood his ground. That one had been weaker than before. She was nearing her limits.

"Dammit," the villain cursed. "Serves me right, underestimating a pro."

"You won't win, villain," Vlad King told her. He risked a glance in All Might's direction. Good, it seems he was finishing things up on his end. "Whatever it is you have intended to do here, it won't happen."

"Oh, but it will," she held up her hand, the air rippling in front of her. Another cloaked individual stepped out of the ripple and glanced around.

"Plan B?" She looked to the one who brought her here.

"Plan B," she confirmed. "It's time to kill All Might."

Vlad King's eyes widened, but as he rushed forwards, the girl disappeared through another rippled on the floor. He turned his head around wildly and shouted, "All Might!" What followed was a brutal punch to the teleported villain. And when the villain he'd been facing began to laugh, a chill crept down his spine. Then All Might fell to the ground and screamed in absolute agony.

Then, oddly enough, at about the same exact time the Landslide Zone began to shake.

...

Landslide Zone

"TREMBLE TREMBLE TREMBLE!" Fukidashi spoke as loud and as fast as he could while Kodai used one hand to enlarge as many of the kanji as possible before they hit the ground and seemed to soak into the earth. The whole landslide was shaking dangerously as pebbles and rocks began bouncing down the hill.

"THIS IS INSANE!" Awase yelled over the noise of the makeshift earthquake. Izuku moved his tongue so as to not accidentally bite down on it, glancing up the hill towards the villains where they were trying hard to keep their footing. Energy beams blasted towards them from the villain, but only once did they make contact with Izuku, grazing his injured shoulder and making him hiss with pain. As he had suggested, Awase had quickly melded them all to a nearby large rock that seemed sturdy enough and let Fukidashi and Kodai loose to unleash their attack.

As Izuku watched, the dirt began to shift around them. He looked higher and saw the top of the landslide begin to move.

"HOLD ON!" Izuku shouted as a real landslide started. He saw the villains turn and look before trying to run. Most of them at any rate. The one who could make sonic booms slammed both fists into the ground, blasting the dirt in front of her, carving a path, but more dirt slammed into her and like her comrades, was carried away by the wave of dirt.

"IT'S COMING CLOSER!" Awase yelled unnecessarily as a tree surfaced from the landslide, shooting right for them. Izuku raised his left arm, his only limb not melded to the rock since it was broken, and prepared himself for the pain that was soon to come. "TEXAS SMASH!" He roared, the eruption of wind shattering the tree and carving a straight path through the landslide.

Having blacked out from the pain, Izuku came to, seeing that Awase was over him. "Midoriya, you alright?"

"F-fine," Izuku gasped out. He was in so much pain, but he forced himself up. The villains may not have been defeated. He had to be ready to fight again if necessary.

"Hold still," Awase stopped him by placing his hand on his right shoulder. "Let me at least make you a splint." He fished out several metal plates from his pouches. "It won't be the most comfortable, but it's the best I can do for now. Now, this might hurt." He grimaced, but after connecting the plates together, he held it to the underside of Izuku's mangled left arm. Light shone as Awase melded the plate to his arm and Izuku bit his lip hard, drawing blood.

"There," Awase wiped his forehead, looking rather queasy. "Sorry, I wish I had something better to use."

"It's fine," Izuku forced himself to stand, trying to ignore the pain. Fukidashi and Kodai were giving him worried looks, but he ignored them and looked around. The Landslide Zone, having already been a mess before, looked like even more of a disaster. The villains were nowhere in sight and Izuku hoped that meant they were down for the count.

"We should go," he said. "And..." He trailed off, staring towards the Central Plaza. The fountain had been demolished and from what he could see, craters of varying sizes littered the area, and he saw several splatters of blood surrounding what looked to be Vlad King. As he watched, a brutal punch that trailed red energy blasted All Might straight into the wall outside of the Downpour Zone.

"All Might," Izuku whispered when his mentor didn't emerge from the wreckage. When the dust settled, the former number 1 lay in the wall in his true skeletal form.

Izuku was already moving before he heard the shouts of his classmates behind him, running and sliding down the landslide as he trained his eyes on the scarlet energy clad villain slowly approaching All Might.

...

Central Plaza

All Might forced himself to move, placing his hands on the ground. His mouth was open, screaming in silent agony. Yet he picked himself up, slowly but surely.

"This is depressing." He could see red lighting in his peripheral. "You're so great. If only there were more heroes like you, maybe things would've been different. Maybe I could've been different." A crackle of energy and All Might felt pain in his jaw as he was flung away, collapsing on his side.

All Might was shaking. No, that wasn't right. The very ground shook beneath him.

"Ah," the villain's voice echoed with surprise. "I wonder... Is that us or are the hero students actually putting up a decent fight..."

His students. That's right. They were still in danger. He couldn't allow himself to be brought down by these villains. He had been chosen to wield One For All for a reason, and he wasn't about to let his master down.

"I'm..." He gritted out, raising his head as he slammed a fist into the ground. "NOT DONE YET!" He yanked himself forwards, crashing into the villain and tossing her across the plaza. He leaped after her, spinning his body around. "KANSAS SMAAAAASH!" He let his power run wild around him, winds surging around him in vortex.

Red streaks shot around his wind currents, zapping him randomly, and when he saw the villain shoot by, he grabbed her and broke out of the tornado. With a ferocious yell, he threw her towards the ground while throwing a punch with his other hand. "TEXAS SMAAAAASH!" The force of the punch blasted winds against the ground with the force of a bomb, whipping back his disheveled hair.

All Might's eyes widened when he saw no sign of the villain laying upon the ground. He heard something over his shoulder and spun around in the air in time to see her appearing out of a ripple in the sky above him.

"SCARLET THUNDER!"

A massive thunderclap blasted All Might's eardrums as her lightning shot down her right arm, enveloping her fist as she landed the punch on his chest. He barely registered the shock over all the pain he was already feeling as he shot backwards. He lost consciousness before he even made impact with the wall.

...

Central Plaza

"That was a damn risky move, Ijichi." The red lightning faded from the villain's body as she stared over at where Ijichi lay unconscious, Vlad King standing over her, breathing heavily. "Teleporting me left you wide open. That's so unlike you." She stumbled forwards before forcing herself to ignore the pain and walk normally towards where All Might lay in the broken wall, his blood splattered across the blue cement.

"Even in retirement you are still worthy of the title Number One," she spoke with a grin. It faded, replaced with a somber expression. "You were my idol, my hero. The greatest of the greatest. But you were one of a kind. There are great heroes out there, sure." She saw the Blood Hero running towards her, but she ignored him as she neared All Might's gaunt form. "But most only pretend. They want fame, money, glory. There are so few in comparison who truly want to save people from the bottom of their hearts." Her fist clenched in a shower of red sparks. "I will show the world that the age of heroes is ending. It's rotten to the very core. Heh..." she tasted bile. "Would you look at that, I'm sounding just like you now, Stain. But you weren't wrong, not about some things.

She stopped just before All Might, seeing Vlad King already expelling blood from his gauntlets. "Looks like I have one more person to take care of before you, All Might." She spun on her foot and swung, her fist crashing through the hardened blood shooting for her and slamming into Vlad King's chest. The force of the punch carried no lightning this time, but the hero was still thrown back, skidding across the ground.

"Now," she turned back to All Might. "Where were-"

"SMAAAAAAASH!"

The blow to the side of her head completely blindsided her as she was flung like a ragdoll. Groaning in pain from where she had come to a stop, she raised her head to see a green haired boy in a UA gym uniform standing in front of All Might protectively, a mix of anger and pain in his expression. His left arm looked all busted up, and was held in a splint at his side. His other arm was alight with energy and looked slightly bruised.

Suddenly his expression changed to shock. "It's- It's you. From before."

She blinked, raising a hand to her hood, only to realize it had been blown off from the impact. So had her face mask. Fighting not to show a grimace, she pulled herself to her feet, her long red hair falling down past her shoulders.

'Well this is unfortunate," she sighed. "You must have escaped from the others. No matter, you'll be no..." she trailed off, glancing down at her hand. Red sparks danced across her open palm as she felt the hum of energy around her. She raised her gaze at the boy in front of her with undisguised shock. "That's... that's not possible."

He crouched, red lines lighting up around his body. "You're not going to hurt All Might, not anymore! I'll stop you!" He narrowed his eyes. "Right here, right now!"
