Videl vs Sakura

Dragon Ball Super vs Street Fighter, Tomboy vs Tomboy, Housewife vs Student, Martial Arts vs Martial Arts, when two tomboyish martial artists fights each other in a fight club, it will be a brawl no one will ever forget. Will Videl snap Sakura's neck or will Sakura Shoryuken Videl into next year?

<Cue: Invader Theme>

Toomi: Videl, daughter of the World Champion,

Megumi: And Sakura, the schoolgirl Street Fighter,

Toomi: Bruce Lee once said, "Showing off is the fool's idea of glory". However, some fighters have ignored these legendary words to revel in fame and fortune. And at the same time, fool others.

Megumi: But luckily, these two were not so easy to lead astray and blossomed their way into becoming a true martial artist, she's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Videl brawls into What if Battles

<Cue: Smack You by Kimberly Cole>

Megumi: The World Martial Arts Tournament, easily one of the most well-known things in the entirety of Dragon Ball. Heck, a bunch of games are named after them. But no tournament is complete without a champ standing at the top.

Toomi: While there have been plenty of champions in the tournament's history, the longest-reigning is none other than Mr. Satan. But curiously, before he was the back-to-back champion, he became a father. Once he was constantly winning tournaments, his newfound life of wealth and luxury helped him raise his daughter Videl.

Megumi: I'm glad Videl didn't get some demonic name like Satan, imagine how his fans would sound chanting out "Hail Satan"

Sachi: Actually if you take Videl's name and swap the 'de' and 'vi', you get...

Megumi: Videl... Devil... Oh, I get it!

Toomi: Took you long enough to figure that one out huh?

Megumi: As the daughter of the world's greatest martial artist, Videl was raised to one day study martial arts herself. She aspired to be as good as her old man, especially since Mr. Satan had been recognized around the world as the saviour of humanity after he defeated Perfect Cell. But of course, he simply took all the credit. In truth, Gohan had wiped out Cell in the most epic Kamehameha beam struggle of all time!

Sachi: Understandably, Videl was among the masses believing Mr. Satan was this incredible hero. But that all changed when Videl began attending Orange Star High School.

Toomi: As it turns out, she was classmates with Son Gohan, the son of Son Goku, going by as this mysterious "Gold Fighter" who fought crime like her.

Megumi: She stalked him until she found out that Gohan was the Great Saiyaman, and blackmailed him. Naturally, Gohan complied with her demands, and from there, the two hit it off. She even cut her long hair short because she thought Gohan liked short-haired girls.

Toomi: Being trained and growing up under a martial arts background, it goes with no surprise that Videl became quite good at it. Primarily using her legs and enhances her strikes by adding great momentum to her attacks. One example of this is the Eagle Kick, her take on Mr. Satan's Dynamite Kick.

Sachi: Videl can certainly throw a punch, though she rarely ever initiates with one. Her more reliable moves open with kicks, use of the knee, or simply forcing herself forward with enough momentum that she leaves opponents vulnerable. Though some have described Videl's fighting style as being more reactionary rather than initiative. Waiting for her opponent to attack and using counters against them, or even their strength.

Toomi: Although Videl's martial arts training was thanks to her father, Gohan taught her how to utilize Ki, essentially weaponizable lifeforce. In particular, Videl sought the power of flight. Through Gohan's efforts, Videl became a capable flier. Although Videl did learn how to perform basic Ki blasts, she cannot reliably control them.

Sachi: Still, she does have her martial arts to fall back on. While most Dragon Ball characters use their energy attacks as well as their martial arts, Videl uses purely her physical skill. In combat, she primarily uses her legs and enhances her strikes by adding great momentum to her attacks. One example of this is the Eagle Kick, her take on Mr. Satan's Dynamite Kick.

Megumi: Or she has one called the Head Scissors Rush on Gohan. He didn't see that one coming. Speaking of which, given that Videl was trained by Mr. Satan and has proven she's surpassed him in multiple regards, it's likely Videl should stack up with some of the champ's greatest feats.

Toomi: Now note that why Hercule Satan is nowhere near as strong as Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Broly and so on, he is a legit martial artist and has performed actual impressive feats. As demonstrated by his instances of pulling four buses, ripping three phone books in half, and perhaps most impressively, chopping through 14 stone tiles in a single go.

Megumi: A feat like that would need over 600,000 joules! And considering his hand wasn't even hurt by something worth that much, Mr. Satan is stronger than the average man. And Videl ends up surpassing this guy

Toomi: She became the first and only woman to win a World Martial Arts tournament. And she even went toe-to-toe with the man whom Mr. Satan defeated all those years ago, Spopovich.

Megumi: And Videl fought to the absolute best of her ability, heck, she went into the fight so hard that she snapped Spopovich's neck! And if I'm remembering correctly. You need a lot of pounds of force to do that, hundreds, maybe thousands! Even she was shocked by what she had done.

Sachi: And when Spopovich got back up and overwhelmed her, Videl endured an absolute beating, surviving brutal punches, kicks, knees to the face, and did not die. And keep in mind, Spopowich was empowered at the time. While Videl was rushed to the hospital, she survived the entire ordeal and bounced back.

Feats

Gohan has mentioned that Videl is stronger than Hercule Satan, the same Hercule Satan who can pull four tour buses, rip a phone book in half and smash through 14 stone tiles, along with surviving a hit from Cell and Kid Buu and dodging attacks from Kid Buu

Rushed and headlocked Gohan

Figured out that Gohan is the Great Saiyaman

Defeated groups of armed thugs

Destroyed a punching bag with one kick

Mastered Ki

Beats down Spopovich

Snapped Spopovich's neck with one kick

Endured a beating from an enhanced Spopovich

Held her own against Super Saiyan Broly

Defeated a horde of zombies alongside Gohan

Became the Great Saiyawoman and fought crime alongside Great Saiyaman

When she was pregnant with Pan, she helped Goku reach the Super Saiyan God transformation by using her unborn daughter as the fifth Saiyan needed

Toomi: It's even worthy to note that while most humans have never heard of ki, and she was capable of learning how to fly within a short span of time

Megumi: At this point I'm convinced she could wipe the floor with a Pokemon or something!

Toomi: Depends, though her only weaknesses is that despite being stronger than her father who is considered the strongest non-ki user in the world, she is still one hundred percent human.

Sachi: And though she survived a near death battle against Spopovich, she retired from fighting and became a house wife.

Megumi: Become a house wife, I get it Akira Toriyama, that's what you think women are good at huh?

Weakness

Lost to Spopovich

Lacks control of ki control

100% human

Killed by Super Buu

Toomi: Unbeknownst to all but a few, Videl and Gohan had taken the next step in their relationship and had a child of their own on the way. When Beerus threatened the Earth's annihilation, it was Videl who revealed her pregnancy could help save the Earth. And she was right, their daughter Pan's Hybrid Saiyan genes allowed her to be the fifth Saiyan who would empower the sixth, Goku, allowing him to become the Super Saiyan God.

Sachi: And just like that, Videl had accomplished something Mr. Satan have done did, being a genuine contribution to preventing global destruction

Megumi: Still, Videl more than lived up to being the daughter of Mr. Satan, he'd be one proud father.

Videl: You'll be sorry if you go easy on me just because I'm a girl.

Sakura Tatsumakis into What if Battles

<Cue: Girl Power by The Cheetah Girls>

Toomi: The World Fighting Championship, otherwise known as the World Warrior Tournament is perhaps one of the most well-known tournaments of all time, thanks in no small part to the generous rules that allow any fighting style and combatants of all levels to participate. It became something anyone could reasonably aspire to.

Megumi: All over the world, people witnessed the first-ever World Warrior Tournament. It inspired a lot of people, especially since there were so many fighters of different cultures, ethnicities, and walks of life. They were all here to fight.

Sachi: And in bloody fashion, the first tournament ended in a victory for the wandering world warrior, Ryu.

Toomi: Ryu's victory had more of an impact than he could've ever imagined. Back in Ryu's homeland of Japan, his training and techniques had inspired a particular young woman to envy him, and garner her aspirations to one day battle him herself, possibly even become his student. Her name was Sakura Kasugano.

Megumi: Sakura was just an ordinary girl at home watching Ryu's fights on her TV, and she understandably did what every kid in the world always does at some point, practice the moves of her inspiration, like the Hadoken!

Sachi: Unexpectedly, despite having no formal training at that point in her life, Sakura simply mimicking Ryu's moves was her first step in becoming an adept martial artist. Although she would need a teacher to become a proper fighter, Sakura had already begun to learn some Ansatsuken techniques.

Megumi: By drawing from the Ansatsuken, or by being the third or fourth Shoto character in these games, Sakura can use the three famous techniques everyone knows, the Hadoken, the Shoryuken, and the Tatsumaki! Oh, the girl with cinnamon rolls stuck on her face? How did she get here?

Toomi: Ahem. While Sakura has proven she can perform these moves, they aren't exactly to the same degree as Ryu's lifelong devout training. For example, her Shouoken is best described as a running Shoryuken, rather than a jumping uppercut. And Sakura jumps to perform her Shunpukyaku, unlike the normal Tatsumaki Senpukyaku that allows Ryu and Ken to simply float in the air.

Megumi: Fortunately, her Hadoken doesn't have a different name, but it is less powerful than the original. Since Sakura wasn't trained in using any of those Hado powers, her Hadoken is imperfect. While she can charge her Hadoken, it does sacrifice the attack's range.

Sakura Kasugano

Shouoken

Shunpu Kyaku

Sakura Otoshi

Shinku Hadoken

Midare Zakura

Haru Ichiban

Haru Ranman

Sakura Rain

Satsui No Hado

Dark Sakura

Toomi: And for an extra surprise, she can use the Tengyo Hadoken, like a regular Hadoken, but she launches it into the skies above. Perfect for catching opponents in midair.

Sachi: Indeed. And Sakura didn't stop there, she also gained the ability to use two V-Triggers. Similar to Ryu, one of her V-Triggers enables Sakura to imbue her fists with Ki, empowering her Hadoken. And the second does the same for her arms and legs, empowering her Shouoken and Shunpukyaku. Though these are only temporary boosts.

Megumi: Despite her technique being far less refined than her inspiration, Sakura can still deliver the pain, thanks to her many Super Combos. While she might not have massive strength, she can certainly deliver her attacks in quick succession, racking up a good combo chain.

Toomi: Her Haru Ichiban is a series of sweeping kicks, which she can follow up with a Shouoken and a Hadoken thereafter. And just like Ryu, Sakura can perform the more powerful Shinku Hadoken. But her strongest combo is her critical art, Sakura Rain. A trifecta combination of her Shinku Hadoken, Shunpukyaku and a Shouoken.

Megumi: And hey, even being able to pull off the Shinku Hadoken at all is pretty impressive. Probably thanks to the small handful of times Sakura crossed paths with Ryu. Understandably, Ryu wasn't expecting he'd have a fangirl. Sakura wanted him to train her, but Ryu admitted that he wasn't the right person to teach others, thanks in large part to the power of the Satsui no Hado.

Toomi: Perhaps it was for the best. But despite Sakura's inability to learn under the mentor she sought, she still managed to make a name for herself, and go head-to-head with some tough Street Fighters, notably defeating the Red Cyclone, Zangief. Who fights bears, shatters concrete by flexing his muscles and piledrives grizzly bears into tornadoes.

Megumi: And remember, Zangief can deflect projectiles like the Hadoken, so the fact Sakura defeated him proves she's using all of her skills, and not just the fireballs. Which is pretty impressive since Zangief can battle some tough sons of bitches like Balrog, who killed an elephant with a single punch!

Sachi: A feat that would need at least ten thousand pounds of force, since elephants typically use their skulls to knock down trees. But Sakura isn't only tough, she's also light on her feet. Given that she uses most of the same moves, and has a younger more nimble body, it's likely Sakura can replicate Ryu's capability of dodging bullets.

Megumi: Or when he dodged Guile's Sonic Boom. Those things can break the sound barrier, so dodging them at all means you need at least Mach 1 speeds. And I'd say Sakura can pull that off. Not to mention other Street Fighter ladies can too, like Chun-Li.

Feats

Knocked Zangief over with an uppercut

Hospitalized Dan Hibiki on multiple occasions

Should be on par with Karin, who defeated Ibuki and sparred with Ken

Took hits from Maki from Final Fight, maki should be on par with Mayor Mike Haggar, who pile drives Bull Sharks

Should scale to Zangief, in terms of durability, who should be superior to Balrog and Birdie who survived a large explosion

Scales to Ryu, who is fast enough to dodge bullets

Can move faster than the eye can track

Toomi: While Sakura has taken most of the important steps any good martial artist needs to achieve their utmost, she hasn't quite reached the peak of her skill. Part of Sakura's big issue is that she lacks a proper mentor who can extensively teach her the Ansatsuken to the fullest, don't get me wrong, her techniques are impressive, but they can't reach the same heights that Ryu's completed training has allowed him to accomplish.

Sachi: Plus, she was mentored by Dan Hibiki, easily the worst choice for a mentor.

Megumi: And since she's not as refine as Ryu, most of her attacks are pretty short ranged so you can just go to the end of the screen and her attacks can't hit you.

Weakness

Inexperienced and her fighting style mostly mimics Ryu

A lot of her attacks are short ranged

Incredibly naive

Ki relies on her energy levels

Toomi: But Sakura eventually bailed on him and just stuck to being self-taught. I'd say she's Diet Ryu, but she's already come a long way for a girl who just sat in front of a TV and started mimicking Ryu's moves.

Sachi: While she has plenty to learn and more to master, Sakura never stopped following Ryu's example, and using her skill to improve herself and do good by others. And when she isn't fighting, Sakura works part-time at an arcade.

Megumi: She'll always have time to be the fangirl, no matter what.

Ryu: Have you been practicing?

Sakura: Aha ha ha! Why not take me on and find out?

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Fight

World Martial Arts Tournament

In a hot sunny afternoon during the annual World Martial Arts tournament, a huge crowd of people were cheering out as the World Tournament Announcer spoke through the microphone

Announcer: For our next round, the daughter of the beloved saviour of mankind, Videl!

The crowd goes wild as Videl steps into the ring.

Videl: I'm looking for some good competition!

Announcer: And the challenger, participating in her very first tournament of her life, Sakura!

The crowd cheers as Videl looks, noticing a young teenage girl stepping into the ring.

<Cue: Stupid Shit by Girlicious>

The girl seems to be of the same age as Videl, abeit with the same short hair length cut into a boyish haircut though what caught her attention is the girl's choice of attire, sporting a traditional Japanese school uniform

Sakura: Alright! Let's do our best!

Videl: I'm looking forward to fighting you.

Both Videl and Sakura gets into a fighting stance just as the announcer screams out.

Announcer: Fight!

WHOOSH!!!

Both Videl and Sakura closes in, the two began engaging each other.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Videl jumps up just as Sakura swings her leg up, delivering a kick.

As Videl reaches in for an elbow, Sakura swerves her body back, dodging the attack before throwing a hook, forcing Videl to raise up her left arm, blocking the blow.

Videl then pushes Sakura back, stepping backwards as she declares out.

Videl: If you know what's good for you, you'll give up now!"

Sakura: You weren't as strong as you loo- ...Ha ha! Just kidding! Don't get mad!

Videl: I'm not gonna let you get away with this!

Videl launches herself forward, throwing her leg out forcing Sakura to raise up her arms, blocking the blow.

WHAM!!!

As Sakura staggers back, this gives Videl the opportunity to strike, delivering a hard kick across Sakura's face while still in the air.

WHAM!!!

Sakura: Oof!

Sakura staggers backwards, looking up as Videl closes in.

Sakura then places her hands together, charging up ki energy which shocks Videl.

Videl: What?!

Sakura: HADOUKEN!!!

THOOM!!!

Sakura throws a small Hadouken at Videl, forcing her to dodge by side stepping to the side.

As the Hadouken disperses into nothingness, Videl stares at Sakura in shock, realising that her opponent can manipulate ki similar to her boyfriend.

Videl: Was that some sort of trick?

Sakura: Don't underestimate me just because I'm a kid!

Videl: I can't believe you had this much power. You're incredible!

Sakura: C'mon! This is too fun to give up soon.

Videl: You may be strong, but you're still just a kid. I think that's enough playtime for you!

<Cue: Who's My Bitch by Paradiso Girls>

Both Sakura and Videl closes in, exchanging blows amongst each other.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Videl grabs onto Sakura before throwing her upwards into the air.

Sakura spins around only for Videl to fly up, delivering a hard uppercut.

WHAM!!!

Sakura: ARGHHHHH!!!

Sakura screams out as she falls flat on the ground.

However, right as Videl closes in, Sakura performs a Shoryuken, striking her under the chin.

Sakura: SHORYUKEN!!!

BAM!!!

Right as Videl is sent flying up in the air, Sakura jumps up, punching into her.

WHAM!!!

Before swinging her leg out, sending Videl flying with a roundhouse kick.

WHAM!!!

Videl looks down, realising that she is about to fall out of the ring before using her ability of flight to freeze herself midair, halting just above the ring.

Sakura stares in awe as Videl takes off into the air, flying over her before landing across her.

Sakura: Why have I not met such strong opponents like this before?

Videl: Let's see what you've got!

Sakura: Okay!

Sakura rushes forward, attacking Videl with a flurry of kicks and punches only for Videl to block every blow before she parries her attempt to elbow and then delivering a push kick onto her back.

WHAM!!!

As Sakura stumbles forward, Videl says to her.

Videl: You're persistant.

Videl then swoops forward, delivering a hard kick into Sakura's face.

WHAM!!!

As Sakura is up into the air, Videl slams her elbow on top of her chest, slamming her down.

BAM!!!

Videl lands across the girl before lunging forward, striking Sakura in the gut repeatly

WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!!

Videl: HUAGHHH!!!

Videl then thrusts her knee upwards, striking into Sakura.

POW!!!

Videl lands feet first onto the ground, panting as she watches Sakura lands backfirst onto the floor.

Sakura gets up, dazed by the attack.

Videl sprints forward, ready to finish the fight once and for all.

Videl: Take this!

Videl swings her leg, attempting to strike down Sakura with a well rounded kick onto her neck.

However, Sakura ducks underneath Videl's attack, shocking her.

Videl: What?!

Sakura: Not a chance!

Sakura spins her around leg around, striking Videl in the face as she spins around like a helicopter.

BAM!!!

Videl: ARGHHHHH!!!

Videl screams out in agony as she was sent sprawling back from the attack.

As Sakura lands feet first on the floor, she looks down, noticing Videl picking herself up.

Clutching her nose, Videl winces as blood drips from her nose onto the white apron on her shirt.

Sakura sprints forward, forcing Videl to roll across the floor, dodging a kick from Sakura before swinging her leg, tripping Sakura down.

Sakura bounces back before firing a Hadouken at Videl.

Sakura: Hadouken!

THOOM!!!

The attack struck into Videl, sending her stumbling as Sakura jumps down striking her with a downward kick.

WHAM!!!

Sakura then throws another Hadouken, striking into Videl.

Sakura: HADOUKEN!!!

THOOM!!!

Right as the blast struck right into Videl, Sakura then points toward her opponent before following up with four grounded Shunpukyaku.

WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!!

As Videl stumbles, delivers a powerful, yet devastating Shouoken, uppercutting Videl into the air.

BAM!!!

The sheer might of the attack shattered the bones of Videl's neck, as though Videl is tough, her opponent's own might far exceeds her own, which causes her to fall back out of the ring onto the ground, the impact increasing the severity of her broken neck.

Plop!

Videl's eyes fell heavy as the daughter of the World Champion breathes her last, lying dead on the outside of the ring while Sakura lands feet first on the ground.

With Videl defeated, the announcer declares out.

Annnouncer: Wow! Would you look at that! With that devastating elimination by ring out, the winner of this match goes to Sakura!

Crowd: YAAAAYYYYYY!!!

The crowd erupts in a loud mass of cheers as Sakura pumps her fist up in triumph.

Sakura: I did it! I did it!

Sakura jumps up and down in joy as she steps out of the ring, walking out just as she notices a small young girl waiting for her outside of the ring.

Sakura: Huh?

Sakura looks at her, noticing that the girl is about the same age as she is, but is much shorter with long pink hair and strange grey looking things resembling cat ears protruding out of her hair.

The girl is Lucy, in her Nyu persona who held up a notebook as she asks Sakura with a single.

Nyu: Nyu.

However, Sakura simply smiles as she coos out.

Sakura: Aww, how cute.

Sakura takes Lucy's notebook, signing an autograph before giving it back to Lucy, patting her on the head before leaving.

KO!

<Cue: Compound I Love You by Jincheng Zhang>

Megumi: Yeoch. That one's gonna leave a mark.

Toomi: With the two of them being adept fighters, but not at their peak levels, the two battling each other certainly put the other to the test. Videl definitely had more experience, since she was trained under Mr. Satan, who was a legitimate world champion, while Sakura had no martial arts training before she started watching Ryu on her TV. Plus, she never received training like how Videl learned under Gohan.

Megumi: But Sakura had a more well-rounded set of moves, able to use the Shouoken and Shunpukyaku. By comparison, Videl mostly used kicking attacks, which Sakura would eventually catch onto, and plan for.

Sachi: Sakura also had way more experience using lifeforce based attacks, since she can perform the Hadoken, and the more powerful Shinku Hadoken, Videl hadn't developed her Ki attacks to the same degree.

Toomi: Though Videl did have one ace in the hole, her power of flight. Allowing her to avoid most of Sakura's techniques, but she couldn't reliably avoid Sakura's Tengyo Hadoken, which was specifically designed to attack opponents in midair. So although Sakura couldn't fly herself, she still had a method of combating Videl's flight.

Megumi: And even then, Sakura was faster than her. By being able to move at Subsonic speeds just like her old man, Videl was faster than most humans can even perceive, but Sakura had her beat by being comparable to characters who move at Supersonic speeds, or Mach 1. So the speed difference wasn't too big.

Toomi: Unfortunately, the same can't be said for strength, where Sakura also edged out against Videl, while Videl broke Spopovich's neck, which required at least one thousand pounds of force, Sakura has defeated characters who endured a punch that can kill elephants, whose skulls can withstand ten thousand pounds of force. And yes, Videl did live through a brutal beatdown by Spopovich, but Sakura was able to hit much harder than that.

Sachi: While both Sakura and Videl's fight with Zangief and Spopovich does prove they can take on people with much higher level of strength than them, do note that Videl lost her fight against Spopovich while Sakura won hers against Zangief so it is highly unlikely that Videl can survive fighting someone who is far stronger than Spopovich.

Megumi: Even if we were to highball Videl by saying she held her own against Super Saiyan Broly or headlock and catch Gohan by surprise, both who are way stronger than Ryu and Zangief, it wouldn't change the results as Videl won against neither. I mean come on, Gohan restrained her without Super Saiyan while Broly threw her around like a rag doll with a well rounded kick from her barely doing damage on him.

Toomi: Sure, Sakura's moves aren't as refined as Ryu's moves, but these techniques came from an art specifically designed to assassinate. The power it wields, even by those with good intentions, can still be hell on their opponent. It's one of the reasons why Ryu refused to train Sakura.

Sachi: While both Videl and Sakura are rather good natured girls, Sakura chose to imitate a very dangerous style of fighting, and that came to ahead in this fight.

Toomi: Videl certainly had the experience and unique abilities to give Sakura a great fight, but Sakura's superior strength, speed, endurance and versatility were enough to put her ahead in this martial showdown.

Megumi: Looks like Sakura can do what Videl Hado-can't.

Sachi: The winner is Sakura Kasugano

Trivia

* The connections between Videl and Sakura is that both combatants are young girls with short dark hair, a tomboyish personality and a great passion for fighting, showcasing great enthusiasm in learning martial arts in hopes of impressing their crush, Gohan for Videl and Ryu for Sakura though the two had a contrasting relationship with their crush with Gohan marrying Videl and the two having a daughter named Pan while Ryu shows no romantic interest in Sakura in anyway though he acknowledges her gift in martial arts

* Interestingly, both their love interests, Gohan and Ryu were voiced by Kyle Hebert

* Furthermore, Saffron Henderson, who voiced Sakura in Street Fighter: The Animated Series, also voiced Son Gohan in the Ocean Groups dub of Dragon Ball Z.

* However, both Videl and Sakura were initially trained by horrible mentors, with Videl being trained by her father, Hercule Satan and Sakura being trained by Dan Hibiki though the difference between them is that Hercule Satan is a legit martial artist while Dan Hibiki is not a strong fighter and despite having good relationships with their father and friend, Videl and Sakura does not share their mentality and instead, went through their own trainings, learning from other fighters till eventually surpassing their mentors

* In the end, both were ultimately successful in harnessing their lifeforce to use techniques also used by their idols and use their skill to battle in iconic tournaments, the World Martial Arts Tournament for Videl and the Street Fighter Tournament for Sakura

* This is the first time a Dragon Ball Super character fights a Street Fighter character

* This is the second time a Street Fighter character wins a What if Battle, the first being Rainbow Mika vs Sakura Hagiwara

* This is the eleventh time a Dragon Ball character loses a What if Battle, the first being Power Girl vs Cooler, Piccolo vs Martian Manhunter, DBS Goku vs GT Goku, Thor vs Vegeta, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune vs Caulifla and Kale, Hulk vs Broly Remastered, Goku Black vs Reverse Flash, Jiren vs Thanos and Flash vs Hit

* Most of Videl and Sakura's lines comes from Dragon Ball FighterZ and Street Fighter 4

* This battle is most likely created to commemorate the release of Street Fighter 6 and also Dragon Ball Super Superheroes

* During Videl's analysis, the part where Megumi mentions over Hercule Satan fans chanting out " Hail Satan" is a reference to Team Four Star

* Nearing the end of Videl's analysis, the part where Megumi saying Akira Toriyama is sexist for making Videl become a housewife after her defeat at Spopovich's hand is how Daddy-Mikasa and some Dragon Ball fans feel about the way how her character was written to initially be a strong tomboyish friend of Gohan only to end up becoming a submissive housewife who retired from martial arts

* During the fight, Videl's combo that she used on Sakura was based off the one she used on Spopovich during the World Martial Arts Tournament in Dragon Ball Z

* The way how Sakura made Videl's nose bleed is a reference to how Spopovich made Videl bleed during the World Martial Arts Tournament in Dragon Ball Z

* Videl attempted to snap Sakura's neck the same way she did to Spopovich though ironically, she was killed in the way she would have killed Spopovich if he wasn't enhanced with Babidi's magic with Sakura snapping Videl's neck with her Sakura Rain Super Move

* At the end of the fight, Lucy appearing and getting both an autograph and a head pat from Sakura which means this battle takes place after Lucy vs Carrie

* Following the order of the Year End finales mixed with the New Year Premiers, Lucy vs Carrie is the Female vs Female fight that acts as the 2022 Season premier while Videl vs Sakura is that Female vs Female fight that acts as the second last episode of the 2022 Season

* And interestingly, both Videl vs Sakura and Lucy vs Carrie involves a female character defeating another female character, with Sakura beating Videl and Lucy killing Carrie. Shockingly, both Sakura and Lucy are young Japanese girls

* Coincidently, this battle is also the second last episode of the season similar to Rainbow Mika vs Sakura Hagiwara being the second last episode of the 2019 season and both battles happens in a tournament setting with the Street Fighter character winning the battle

* Though both fights features a character with similar names with opposite results with Sakura losing the fight against Rainbow Mika and Sakura winning the fight against Videl

* Sakura also seems to appear to be the only character to actually treat Lucy with actual respect than most of the characters Lucy has encountered
