Toomi: Telekinesis, a power that enables you to read minds, a power that definitely requires a mass amount of intelligence.

Megumi: And these two smoking hot babes in these sexy clothes have lots of it!

Toomi: Like Emma Frost, the White Queen,

Megumi: And Zatanna Zatara, the Mistress of Magic, she's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Toomi: For billions of years, life on this planet, and possibly other planets, has been in a constant state of evolution. With fluctuating environments, there is no perfect form; every species adapts to new surroundings, where the fittest survive and the weak do not.

Megumi: And it's almost downright crazy that this unstoppable force is largely driven by your genetics occasionally taking a hiccup. Mutation, everybody!

Sachi: While most mutations, or random changes to DNA sequences, are harmless and unnoticeable, every once in a while they can create massive ripples.

Toomi: If the mutation is beneficial enough to help the organism survive, then it will be passed down and perfected throughout the generations, with the recipients outclassing their brethren.

Megumi: But hey, since this is Marvel, they chose not to make sense and jump to the point where mutants gets superpowers. Some can get metal claws, some can teleport and one of them even killed a plant lady with a kiss.

Toomi: Miss Emma Frost was born to a wealthy noble family in Boston, Massachusetts as one of four children, and it wasn't long before she discovered that she had telepathic mutant powers. Because her parents and sisters were rather "cold"...

Sachi: She didn't disclose this information to them for a very long time. Turns out her sisters were mutants too, but that's not important.

Megumi: Emma used these powers to screw with bullies at school, cheat on tests, and become a total cynical bitch. But she was smart enough to catch the attention of one of her teachers, and they eventually hooked up for some more "genetic fun".

Toomi: Using money extorted from her father, Emma enrolled in a prestigious university, where she learned about the existence of other mutants and just exactly what made her who she was.

Megumi: Her skills in business management, and of course her ability to read minds, gave her a live of success even without piggy-backing off of her father, and she came under the attention of some of the black market's biggest players. After a rather violent encounter with another telepath, she was invited to join the underground criminal organization known as the Hellfire Club.

Sachi: But a power struggle broke loose involving giant mutant-killing robots, and ended with Emma and her explosive best bud Sebastian Shaw taking over.

Toomi: Using her newfound power, Emma became known as the White Queen, which may or may not relate to her choice in lingerie, and funded many of the club's questionably illegal activities. This included running a mutant academy to rival that of the more well-known one led by her enemy, Professor X, and creating her own mutant team the Hellions to counter teams led by Cyclops and Storm.

Megumi: The X-Men and the Hellfire club would engage each other in many, many clashes, some political, and some downright beating the shit out of each other. While her telepathic skills may have been enough to cause problems for many of the X-Men, she often met her match against Jean Gray or James McAvoy or Patrick Steward.

Toomi: Ever the pacifist, Charle's sympathised with Emma, and often convinced her, albeit temporarily, to aid the X-men in attacks on mutant kind. But after the murder of her Hellions, and eventually her sister Adrienne, a grief-stricken Emma left the Hellfire club and became a permanent member of the team.

Sachi: She may be a teacher and a businesswoman, but Emma helps the team out with much more than training younger mutants.

Megumi: She's a thorough badass in combat, and will not hesitate to take the cheap victory through a little bit of mind control.

Toomi: Emma's telepathic powers have grown to be among the strongest of all mutants; almost putting her at omega class. She can broadcast thoughts, mind read, alter and erase memories and fool people into seeing illusions.

Megumi: Man, she would be real handy for crowd control.

Toomi: She can also use this to make her and her teammates supposedly invisible, allowing for stealth missions that don't require special tactical suits

Sachi: Although she is not aware of the ability, Emma has shown to be able to levitate small objects in her sleep, which adds to her already impressive mental arsenal. She is strong enough to overpower other telepaths like Rachel Summers and Nate Gray with almost zero effort.

Megumi: What's better than one awesome mutation? Two, dammit! Following a chemical explosion, Emma gained the power to turn into a walking, talking diamond. No, it's not ice. Frost was a misleading last name. It's jewelry.

Toomi: Emma Frost possesses telepathic abilities of a similar caliber to those of Charles Xavier, over which she had an extremely refined level of skill. In fact, it's even worth to note that Xavier has even acknowledged her powers to be as strong or even stronger than his.

Megumi: And you know her sexy outfit? Well it turns out she can even use it to seduce men to get an easy victory.

Toomi: As her entire body can become crystalline, Emma has no weaknesses that usually inhabit the human, er, mutant body. She doesn't require food or water, won't tire out, and becomes almost entirely heat resistant. But there are a multitude of reasons she doesn't stay in this form for long, chief among them being that the reflective properties of diamond inhibit her telepathic powers.

Sachi: Not only that, but diamond does have fragile planes within its bonds, and is the only substance capable of scratching itself. If Emma is shot by a diamond bullet, her glass body could shatter, although her subconscious could linger on until her body was put back together.

Weakness

Emma is very vulnerable outside her Diamond Form, and she can be put down rather easily if a more physically powerful opponent got to her.

Arrogant and selfish.

Diamond Form can be shattered with enough force.

Also loses the ability to use her telepathic abilities in combat.

If a member of the Phoenix Five is dead, the others have threatened sanity and could lose their grip on reality.

Toomi: And remember when she was part of the Phoenix Five, well it turns out that such power has not only causes her to lose her sanity, but even lose her grip on reality itself.

Sachi: And without her diamond body, her body is as vulnerable as any human body, meaning she can still die from ordinary means outside of her diamond body.

Megumi: Sexiness aside, though, this lady is one you don't mess around with. And ironically enough, because she's sometimes a villain and sometimes a hero, everyone messes around with her eventually. And pays the price.

Toomi: Zatanna was the daughter of John Zatara, the world's greatest magician, with a lineage of various magically-endowed people.

Megumi: She then dedicated her life to magic after discovering her abilities, until her father disappeared. Man, that's just sad.

Sachi: She then joined the Justice League of America to help combat other threats.

Toomi: Eventually, she even formed a team alongside John Constantine known as Justice League Dark to combat mystical threats as the real Justice League faces physical threats.

Sachi: Zatanna is a famous stage magician and illusionist, travelling the world to put on extravagant shows.

Zatanna: Thank you. Thank you. No one gets past the great Zatanna!

Because of her power, knowledge, and experience, she is often the Justice League's go-to person for all things involving magic or the supernatural.

Megumi: Like her father, Zatanna has magical abilities which she channels by speaking backwards. She can also lay enchantments on objects.

Toomi: Although she often casts her spells by speaking backwards, this is not something she is obligated to do. On many occasions, she has cast spells without speaking at all. She mostly just speaks backwards as a tribute to her father and to better channel her spells.

Megumi: Ooh let me try! Peh..lack..kuh! Syn-do...Agh! I can't get my mind back to it!

Toomi: Her magic is so powerful to the point she was even deemed as one of the most powerful magic users in the DC Universe. For a good reason too as her magic has enabled her to take on enemies as powerful as Lobo, Superman, Wonder Woman, Despero, Mary Marvel, Felix Faust and even Zor, a time tailor who is comparable to the likes of The Spectre.

Megumi: An inexperienced one by still very powerful.

Sachi: She has even taken blows from Wonder Woman and survived, the same Wonder Woman who can match against planetary level attacks from beings like Superman and Darkseid.

Megumi: And she's even fast enough to use her magic to stop both of them in their tracks, and as established in their previous battles, both Superman and Wonder Woman can fly faster than light.

Toomi: However, her need to say out her spells, though makes them more powerful is also her greatest weakness. Impairing her speech by either gagging her, remove her ability to speak, cut her throat or even braces can make her incapable of creating spells.

Sachi: And as powerful as her shields are, Zatanna's human body is not invulnerable as she still possesses human level durability.

Toomi: It's also worth to know that there is a possibility of making yourself immune to her spells. In the comic Gotham City Sirens, Strange Fruit, Talia and another assassin used an amulet that renders them invulnerable to Zatanna's spells.

Sachi: And trained martial artists like Batman can dodge her attacks and incapcitate her quickly.

Megumi: But whenever the Justice League finds themselves in sticky situations that requires magic, Zatanna is always here to save the day!

Zatanna: Good evening Gotham! I am Zatanna!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Standing with her hat outstretched, Zatanna smiles at the standing ovation she got from her recent performance as she says to the audience.

Zatanna: Thank you. Thank you.

Zatanna then gives a quick bow as the curtains folds up in front of her, signalling the end of her performance.

As Zatanna is about to leave, all of a sudden, she was stopped by a figure cladded in white.

Curious, Zatanna questions her.

Zatanna: Um, I'm sorry miss but is there something wrong?

Emma glances at her and she spoke.

Emma: Yes. You have something I want and I suggest you give it to me.

Emma then shows Zatanna a picture of the Doctor Fate helmet, prompting Zatanna to narrow her eyes at her.

Zatanna: And if I say no?

Emma throws the paper back and she answers.

Emma: Then I'll just have to take it from you by force!

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: My Pace De Ikimashou by Nanamori Chu Goraku>

Emma Frost puts her hand to her mind, sending a powerful telepathic wave at Zatanna.

VREEEEEE!!!

Zatanna quickly waves her wand, easily dispelling the attack before saying to her.

Zatanna: Telepathy huh? Cool. That's one of my moves as well.

Emma praises her back.

Emma: Not bad child. I see there's more to you than cheap tricks.

Emma then uses her telekinetic powers to lift several seats from the aisle before sending them flying towards Zatanna.

Zatanna moves across the stage, throwing blasts of magic at the oncoming projectiles.

THOOM!!! THOOM!!! THOOM!!!

As the seat went off in an explosion, Zatanna looks up only for Emma to throw a slap across her cheek.

SLAP!!!

Zatanna: Ow! You broke my nose you stupid...

Zatanna then throws her leg out, sending Emma flying back.

WHAM!!!

Zatanna: Nurt naitruc otni ekans.

As if on cue, the curtain closes to Emma immediately transforms into a python, causing it to wrap around her body, constricting her.

Snake: HIIISSSSS!!!

Before the snake could bite, Emma narrows her eyes, using her mental powers and with a single tap of her hand, the snake collapses onto the floor, unconscious.

Emma thrusts her hands out, firing several Psionic Blasts at Zatanna.

BZZZTT!!! BZZZT!!!

Zatanna raises up her hands, blocking the projectiles with her magical barrier before thrusting her hand out, sending a blast of magic at Emma.

PIU!!!

Emma raises up her hand, conjuring a mental barrier that instantly blocks the attack.

BOOM!!!

Zatanna then thrusts her hand out, screaming out.

Zatanna: Erif!

FWOOM!!!

A powerful burst of fire escapes from Zatanna's gloved hand, only for Emma to turn her body into Diamond.

SHING!!!

Now encased in diamond, Emma Frost calmly walks through Zatanna's fire before throwing a punch, striking Zatanna across her cheek.

WHAM!!!

Zatanna: Ow!

As Zatanna stumbles back, she winces before pouting out.

Zatanna: No fair! How come you got diamond armor and I don't?

Emma: Must be your misfortune.

Emma retorts before using grabbing onto Zatanna, saying to her.

Emma: It's over.

Or is it?

Smiling, Zatanna says to her.

Zatanna: Lady, I know what you are trying to do and I can assure you it won't work.

Emma: What?

Emma widens her eyes in shock, surprised that her attempt to wipe Zatanna's memories did not work.

Zatanna then promptly thrusts her hand out, sending a blast of magic striking the mutant into her chest.

PIU!!! THOOM!!!

Emma: ARGHHHHHH!!!

Emma screams out as the impact of the blast sends her crashing through the backstage.

Zatanna then runs up, determined to take down her opponent.

Backstage

As Zatanna quietly walks through the halls of the backstage, wary of any signs of Emma Frost.

All of a sudden, several sharp swords rose from the crates before flying towards Zatanna at super speed.

ZOOM!!!

Zatanna: Pots!

Zatanna quickly orders out, instantly causing the swords to freeze before dropping onto the ground.

At that moment, Emma comes up from behind, attempting to use another telepathic attack on the magician.

VRREEEEEE!!!

Zatanna: ARGHHHHHH!!!

As Zatanna clutches her head in agony, Emma says to her scornfully.

Emma: It's over for you child.

Wincing in pain, Zatanna slowly open her eyes and she retorts.

Zatanna: Yeah...for you!

Emma: What?!

Before Emma could react, Zatanna waves her hand, disappearing in a flash.

As Emma looks around, Zatanna suddenly reappears, conjuring a portal.

WHOOM!!!

Zatanna then thrusts her hand out, sending a blast of magic onto the White Queen.

THOOM!!!

Emma: ARGHHHHHH!!!

Emma screams out in agony as she was sent flying into the portal.

Zatanna then promptly flies into the portal, throwing several blasts of magic onto her opponent.

THOOM!!! THOOM!!!

Emma quickly turns her body into diamond, hardening herself just as Zatanna wraps her in a magic barrier before sending her smashing into a nearby wall.

CRASH!!!

Unfazed by the attack, Emma waves her hand, using her mental powers to remove Zatanna's barrier before throwing the projectile back at her.

Zatanna swings her hands out, causing her body to suddenly become invisble, easily phasing through the attack.

Emma quickly turns herself invisible before closing in onto Zatanna, preparing to attack only for Zatanna to shout.

Zatanna: Nrut elbisiv!

WHOOM!!!

A single mention of the spell turns Emma visible again before Zatanna thrusts her hand out, screaming out.

Zatanna: Cigam tsalb!

THOOM!!!

A powerful blast of magic struck onto Emma, causing her entire body to shatter in an instant.

CRASH!!!

Emma: ARGHHHHHH!!!

Emma coughs out blood as she felt her top half reverting back to normal before Zatanna waves her hand, saying.

Zatanna: Nrut otni a gorf!

Emma: Say what?

That was all Emma could say before her entire body disappears, her slender figure now replaced with a green bloated body of a frog.

As the frog drifts in the magical portal, Zatanna flies out of the portal, landing feet first back on the stage before closing the portal, saying.

Zatanna: Man, that was toadally cool. Pun intended.

KO!

<Cue: Love, Again by CHIHIRO>

Megumi: Damn. Spoiler alert, the sexy one won.

Toomi: This fight is certainly an interesting one to say. With both combatants possessing high level of mental attacks and capabilities, who's to say that fight could have gone either way.

Sachi: In terms of durability, Emma Frost possesses a massive advantage as her diamond body has shown the capability of surviving almost anything thrown at her while Zatanna mostly relies on her spells to protect herself.

Toomi: But luckily, Zatanna's spells are more than enough to counter them as it normally takes tools to resist her spells which fortunately for her, Emma possesses no means to counter those.

Megumi: Hell, she even turned Emma back to normal during that fight!

Sachi: Then there is mental capability. Emma's mind controls powers can rival that of Jean Grey and Professor X, two of the most powerful telepaths on Earth which is certainly more than powerful enough to kill Zatanna.

Toomi: That is if she could even mind control her at all.

Sachi: As it turns out, Zatanna has faced her fair share of psychics like Martian Manhunter, Felix Faust and Necros who are all powerful telepaths themselves and Zatanna has shown to be capable of being resistant to those. Meaning that Emma Frost would not be able to use her telepathy to kill her.

Toomi: And her magic alone has made her more than ready to deal with the likes of Emma Frost after having to deal against enemies like Zor who is as powerful as the Spectre.

Sachi: And sad to say, Emma don't really have that many feats that puts her up against someone as powerful as that.

Toomi: Holding the edge in power, mental capability and skills, this is what enables Zatanna to simply turn Emma Frost into a frog in order to take the win.

Megumi: This sure was frogtastic! Not for Emma of course!

Sachi: The winner is Zatanna Zatara.

Zatanna: Magic is as easy as 1...2...3!
