▶Epilogue◀

Ten years after the incident with Sam, John, and Cas happened, the now 27 year old Sam had found Cas again.

It took him months, years almost, to find him. When he finally did, he was beyond ecstatic. He loaded up his car and drove and drove and drove, until he ended up in Texas; Cas' new home.

He looked at the paper that he wrote Cas' address on and put it in the GPS on his phone. He started driving again, finding the house in no time. He parked on the street in front of his house and got out, beginning to feel nervous. He didn't know how Cas would react to seeing him after all these years.

Biting his lip, he walked up to the front door and debated on ringing the doorbell or knocking. He decided to ring the doorbell instead.

It felt as if time had started moving slowly, but picked back up when the door opened, revealing a little girl with big blue eyes and black hair. "Hi," she said shyly.

Sam smiled nicely at her. "Hey sweetie. Is...Castiel here?"

She nodded and hurried off back inside the house, leaving the door open. Sam heard her say, "Daddy, someone's here for you!"

After a minute of waiting, Sam's heart picked up when Cas came to the door. His eyebrows scrunched, eyes narrowed, and his head tilted as he looked at Sam. "Can I help you?" He asked, while straightening his posture slightly.

"You're...Castiel, right?" Sam asked. Cas had changed a lot since they were in high school. His hair was a lot shorter and the stubble on his face was a lot more present. He didn't have a baby face like Sam remembered. His eyes were...darker than he remembered as well.

Cas nodded. "Yes, that's me. Who are you?"

"It's me, Sam Winchester..."

Sam watched as Cas' face changed into a look of surprise. "S-Sam?" He nodded and was startled when Cas threw his arms around him, nuzzling his neck. "Sam..."

Sam smiled and hugged him back, letting out a small sigh of happiness. He felt something wet fall on to his shoulder and when Cas pulled away, he noticed the tears. "Cas, don't cry," he said softy, wiping away his tears away with his thumbs.

Cas quickly took in the appearance of the younger man. His hair had gotten a lot longer, his eyes were brighter, and all of his piercing were out; his holes closed up. His stubble was a lot thicker than his own, making it seem like he had a full beard, but a five o'clock shadow at the same time.

"I'm just...so happy to see you, Sam," he whispered out before sniffling. "Ever since that day...things haven't been the same."

"I know, Cas, I know," Sam said before hugging him again.

"Daddy?"

They pulled away from each other and Cas turned around while Sam looked past him. The little girl was standing in the door, looking at Cas. She looked a little scared and it made Sam's heart swell for some reason. She's so cute, he thought with a small smile.

Cas smiled at the girl and picked her up. "What's wrong baby?" He asked softly.

"Are we still going to the park?"

Cas chuckled and nodded. "Yes, we're still gonna go. Go put on your shoes and grab my phone," he said as he put her down.

She grinned and ran inside. Cas smiled before turning back to Sam, who had his eyebrow raised. He chuckled again. "Before you ask; she's five, no, her mother doesn't stay here, she happened during a one night stand, I'm not married or have a girlfriend. Anymore questions? No? Good."

Sam laughed. "You're still sassy."

Cas laughed with him. "Some things never change."

Sam grinned and looked down for a second. He looked back up and gave Cas a small, sad smile. "I should let you two go..."

"No, Sam! Come to the park with us! Please?"  Cas gently grabbed his hand and looked up at him, his eyes having a begging look in them.

Sam bit his lip. "Are you sure you want me to go with you..?"

"Yes, Sam! I'm positive!"

He started to smile a little. "Alright. I'll go."

Cas smiled happily and let go of his hand just as his daughter came back out, closing the door behind her. She gave him his phone and raised her arms. Cas shook his head and picked her up, holding her into his side. "Let's go then."

"Walking?" Sam asked softly.

Cas nodded. "The park isn't too far from here." He started to walk along the sidewalk, Sam walking beside him. He looked up at his daughter. "Have you even introduced yourself to Sam? How rude are you?" He asked playfully, tsking and shaking his head.

She grinned and looked over at Sam. "My name is Nora."

"Hi Nora, I'm Sam," he replied, smiling at her.

The rest of the walk was quiet and short. They got there and Cas told Nora to be careful as he put her down and she took off.

Cas led Sam over to a bench where they could watch Nora and sat down. They watched Nora run around, playing with the few other kids that were there before they started talking.

"Sam, I...what happened after that day?" Cas asked as he looked up at Sam.

Sam sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair. "There was an investigation that lasted for about a year. They searched for anything they could, but couldn't find anything that said I killed him just to do it. They examined the few bruises on my face and arms, then determined that it was self defense."

"If the investigation only lasted a year, why are you just now finding me?"

"I was still being watched. They didn't say I was going to be watched, but I just knew. That lasted for about a year too. After that...I was scared. I didn't know what you would do if you saw me again. And not to mention the fact that you did a damn good job at hiding."

Cas chuckled softly. "You told me to run, so I did." His face fell as he just realized something Sam said. "Why were you scared to find me?"

"I don't know. I just felt like you'd hate me for some reason.."

Cas' eyes widened. "Sam, you...you almost threw away your life for me! You spent two years being investigated and watched for me! I should've been the one that got questioned and looked after, but no. You took the blame for it! I could never hate someone who is willing to do that for me!" He gently cupped Sam's cheek. "I never hated you and I never could hate you!"

Sam smiled at Cas and wrapped his arms around him. Cas moved his arms and pressed his face in the crook of Sam's neck. They held each other for a couple of minutes before pulling away, smiles on their faces.

"Have you talked to Gabriel lately?" Sam asked, a hint of sadness in his voice.

Cas shook his head. "No...I haven't talked to him since that day. After I left your house, I texted him and said that I loved him before ditching my phone. I wanted to call him so badly, but I was worried about him saying something about me calling him." He shrugged a little bit. "How's Dean? Are those two still together?"

"Yeah. They're still together. I think Dean is gonna propose to him soon."

Cas' eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Yeah. He showed me the ring a couple days ago."

"Wow," Cas whispered out softly. He was happy for his brother, but he was sad that he was missing the happy things in his life.

They stayed at the park for an hour before Nora got tired and went back over to them. She had crawled into Cas' lap and fell asleep there.

Cas and Sam walked back to his house where Cas invited him in. He went and put Nora to bed, Sam waiting for him in the hallway. Cas closed her door and before he could say anything, Sam had him pressed against the wall, their lips connected. His hand was cupping Cas' cheek and his eyes were closed. Cas closed his own eyes and melted into the kiss, moving his hand to the back of Sam's neck, pressing him deeper into it.

They pulled away after a couple of minutes an opened their eyes. Sam rested his forehead gently against Cas'. "Cas, I...I still love you. I love you a lot."

"I know you do, Sam. I love you too."

"Can we...Can we continue where we left off? Please?"

"Do you really want to?"

"Hell yes."

Cas smiled and draped his arms around Sam's neck. "Then we can continue." He pressed their lips together again, smiling into the kiss.

Sam kissed him back, his heart swelling with love and happiness. These last ten years had been hell without Cas.  He was lost without his blue eyed angel, but now, he was finally found.
