The next day at school, Sam had a plan to try and apologize to Cas. He had made Dean bring him to school early so he could initiate his plan.

What he didn't plan on was Cas being at school early with some guy.

His eyes widened when he saw them talking and messing around. His eyes started to well with tears as he walked away from them, heading to the lockers. He was still going to try his plan, but if it didn't work...then that's it. He wasn't going to try anymore. He and Cas would be over and...and...he'd finally do what he always wanted to do...jump off a bridge.

Sam walked up to Cas' locker and unlocked it, (There had been countless times when Cas couldn't open it so he had Sam do it). He pulled the rose out of his booksack and made sure it was fine before setting it in. He took out a sharpie and closed his locker. On the front of it, he wrote, I'm sorry for everything. I love you and I hope you still love me.

The bell rang and he hurried away, staying close by to see Cas' reaction.

He watched as Cas made his way to his locker, the guy still trailing behind him. He saw Cas start to smile when he read what was on his locker. Cas opened his locker and reached in, taking out the rose with a big smile. He hid a bit more when Cas looked around the hall.

Cas put the rose back in his locker and put his stuff in. He closed it and read the note one more time before he and the guy walked away.

H-He smiled! I think it worked! Sam thought, beginning to smile himself. I hope it worked! Oh God, please let this have worked!
