Drawing a Reader in

To draw a reader in, you need to summarize your story. It's important that you DO NOT GIVE THE ENDING AWAY. The reason why is obvious.

In your first part, use perfect spelling and grammar to show that you are smart enough to come up with a good plot.

Describe characters and if possible, add pictures of celebrities and put them in the cast. To cast someone, you click on the three grey dots at the top right of the screen and hit "Cast".

If you like, you can add a very intense scene in the description to give the reader a taste of the action, and make them want to read your story.

Don't be bland and boring. Add funny jokes and cheesy puns to show the reader that you have a good sense of humor and they will get a giggle out of the story. Be interesting and creative.

Start to write some of your story, just the intro; then end with a cliffhanger. Always end with a cliffhanger so the reader will want to keep reading your story. Their curiosity will get the better of them and they'll click the "continue reading" button. It's just psychology. People want to know what happens next.

Don't make the chapters way to long or too short. Short is a paragraph or two, and long is a few thousand words. The reader may be agitated if all of your chapters are short, but the reader may get bored with a chapter if it's too long. It's normally better to have a moderately long chapter than have a short one. Write at an average of 600-1000 words per chapter.

Use interesting words, but make sure that the reader knows what the word means. If necessary, give an example or synonym for the word.

Example: The sunset was pulchritudinous. (Beautiful)

You could also use an odd or infrequently used word and add a star next to it, then at the bottom of the page, put a star next to the word, then write a definition.

Example: The sunset was pulchritudinous*. It had so many pretty colors

*pulchritudinous: beautiful.

Add descriptive words and phrases. There's nothing more boring than a sentence like, "The cat ran fast". Instead, use different adjectives and synonyms. For instance, "The small, black cat ran as fast as its little legs could carry it".

Another example: The pulchritudinous sunset had all sorts of pastel colors painting the sky.

My advice to you is that you look at other people's books, preferably ones with 10k+ reads (which are not fanfictions. Fanfictions get reads for their plot and fandom topic. Try 'Romance'), these are the better and well-liked books. Try to use their style.

Use spellcheck. If you misspell words a lot, you may sound a bit less than literate. Proper grammar is essential for a well-written book.

If you use not much good grammer and speling, peopel wont think much of youre book.

See? That irritated you, didn't it?

Now you know the importance of proper grammar and spelling.
