Chapter Nine: The River In Reverse
Nobody's Pov
As everyone settled down the next episode began playing.
The camera turns on and we're shown the outside of the mansion before heading inside.
An elaborate breakfast has been set up in the dining room of the plantation house.
The camera pans to the that is full of fruit and pastries, all of them looking delicious.
Rebekah and Kurt sit at the table, across from each other, while Klaus stands next to a server and bites at her wrist.
Rebekah rolls her eyes and takes a sip of her tea while Kurt grimaces.
Everyone had the same reaction as Kurt as they watch the hybrid feed from the woman.
They were surprised at how Rebekah just ignored her brothers actions.
But, then again, she's an original vampire and has problem done the same so it has no affect on her.
"I will never get used to things like that" Mr. Schue commented.
"Same here" Coach Beiste nodded.
Klaus pulls away from the waitresses wrist and squeezes her wrist to ooze out some of her blood and watch as it drips into his glass cup.
"Have you spoken to our good friend Marcel today?" Klaus asked.
"No, should I have?" Rebekah asked.
"He's been mysteriously silent, avoiding me, some might say. I thought perhaps he may have whispered reasons into your ear. Along with all of those sweet nothings" Klaus said.
"Isn't that a good thing?" Kurt asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, that means Marcel doesn't find out about Hayley, the baby or Kurt" Nick added.
"Yeah but you have to understand that Marcel doesn't like, or trust, Klaus. Especially with his return to New Orleans" Thad told him.
"Yeah, he must think that he's up to something and laying low to plan an attack" Sebastian added.
It might be a good thing that Marcel is silent and, possibly, avoiding Klaus.
But at the same time it might also be a bad thing because it could mean he's planning something.
And that plan could involve taking Klaus down.
"Yes and no" Klaus replied.
"If I see him, I'll be sure to ask if he's still sore at you" Rebekah told him.
Klaus stares at her as he moves to sit next to Kurt.
"Let me give a voice to that look in your eyes. My saintly noble brother lies writhing in agony in the Bayou, victim of my bastard brother's bite, when just one or two drops of his blood would ease his pain" Klaus mocks her.
"Nik" Kurt warned.
"On the contrary, Nik, I am simply enjoying my brekkie, waiting for Elijah's healthy return" Rebekah smiled.
Klaus rolled his eyes and sets his cup down.
"Oh, come on Rebekah, you've been giving me the devil's eye all morning. Same goes with Kurt" Klaus said.
"Excuse me if I'm still upset that you dragged me here while you left my best friend and your brother alone in the bayou" Kurt huffed.
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
They can't blame Kurt, and Rebekah, for giving Klaus the devil's eyes after what he did.
They understand that he's angry at Elijah and Hayley, mainly at his brother for his accusations.
But he still didn't have to go as far as biting his brother and leaving the two of them in the bayou alone.
Klaus rolled his eyes before looking back at his sister.
"Out with it" Klaus demanded.
"Perhaps I'm concerned that if I voice my opinion about what you did to Elijah, I will end up on the wrong side of your toxic hybrid teeth" Rebekah explained.
Klaus slams his hand on the table and yells, "poppycock!".
Kurt flinches slightly as he eats a brownie while Rebekah rolls her eyes.
"I would never bite you. Elijah made some very offensive accusations about my intentions towards my child and my mate. He deserves a day or two of discomfort. Besides, you know my preferred method of punishment for your indiscretions is the dagger" Klaus grinned.
Rebekah smirks as she stands up from her seat.
She places her palms on the table and leans closer to her brother.
"There is something fundamentally wrong with you" Rebekah told him.
"Ain't that the truth" Blaine muttered.
There is definitely something wrong with Klaus for the way he acts.
He seriously doesn't understand why someone like Klaus is mated to someone like Kurt.
Klaus glares at her while Kurt shifts uncomfortably in his seat.
Rebekah glances at Kurt and flashes him a small smile before walking out of the room.
Klaus leans back in his seat while Kurt just sighs and continues with his breakfast.
The scene changes to later in the day and the camera pans to the hallway where we see Kurt wandering around.
He just woke up from his nap since he wasn't allowed to go out.
Klaus told him not to and that he should stay inside because he was worried that he something might happen to him.
Which annoyed him and he argued that he can take care of himself.
"Oh he most definitely can take care of himself" Puck grinned.
"Yeah, him and Hayley taking on those men in the woods is proof of that" Finn nodded.
Honestly, he along with everyone else was worried that with everything going on Kurt would be in danger.
They were worried that he wouldn't be able to take care of himself considering he never knew how to fight.
At least he didn't in the past.
But after seeing him fight off those men in the woods that day with Hayley, they were given a new perspective of him.
And that's that he's not a damsel in distress.
Not anymore.
But Klaus didn't want to take any chances, especially after what happened with Tyler, so he reluctantly agreed to stay inside.
"Never thought I'd say this but I thank him for making my son stay inside" Burt sighed.
He may not like the hybrid but he's really glad that he demanded his son to stay inside.
He trust his son and he knows that he can take care of himself.
But after what happened with Tyler he doesn't want to risk his life getting put in danger again.
Now that he has woken from his nap he's bored and wants something to do.
Which is why he's searching for his mate so he can hopefully convince him to let him go out.
Just as he's about to head downstairs he hears chatter from the study.
Furrowing his eyebrows together he decided to check it out.
As he walked inside he saw a pretty blonde woman sitting while Klaus stood near her with a piece of paper in his hands.
"Who's that?" Sue asked, studying the blonde woman onscreen.
"Her name is Camille O'Connell. She's human and the person Marcel has a crush on" Gertrude explained.
"She's pretty" Thad commented to which a few others nodded in agreement.
"But why is she with Klaus?" Quinn asked, furrowing her eyebrows together.
This made the rest of the girls frown.
They were hoping is going to happen between those two since they're beginning to root for Klaus and Kurt.
"What is this?" Klaus asked, looking at the paper in his hands.
"It's an ancient mystical plot I'm using to destroy you" Cami told him.
Kurt's eyes widened at that while Klaus looked at her in slight surprise but mainly with frustration.
Cami rolled her eyes and replied, "relax it's a tattoo design".
Kurt sighed in relief but couldn't help but chuckle at her words.
Everyone couldn't help but laugh at Cami's words, clearly finding it amusing.
All except Blaine.
Who had hoped that what Cami said was true since he wanted nothing more than for Klaus to be destroyed.
"Draw on your own time" Klaus told her, tossing the paper down.
"This is my time. You steal it from me!" Cami yelled at him in frustration.
She angrily gathers her things before storming out of the room, passing by Kurt, leaving Klaus to stand there.
Kurt hummed as he leaned against the door and crossed his arms over his chest.
"That was interesting" Kurt commented.
"I'll say" Carole giggled.
Klaus turned around to look at him and raised an eyebrow.
"How long have you been there?" Klaus asked in confusion.
"Just now. Who was that? And why was she here?" Kurt asked.
"Her name is Camille and she was here for my therapy session" Klaus told him.
Kurt's eyes widened in disbelief at what he just heard.
Almost everyone had the same reaction as Kurt.
They couldn't believe what they just heard.
"Hold up, he's actually in therapy? Are you serious?" Rachel asked.
"I'm surprised someone like him would even consider something like that" Blaine scoffed.
Why the hell is Klaus getting therapy when it's clear that it's not going to help him?
Considering he's nothing but a psychotic freak that is never going to change.
"You? Klaus Mikaelson in therapy? Is the world ending or something?" Kurt asked.
"I can assure you, love, that the world isn't ending" Klaus rolled his eyes.
"Whatever you say" Kurt chuckled.
Klaus opened his mouth to say something when his phone rang. With a sigh he took it out and picked up the call as he put the phone to his ear.
After a minute Klaus hung up before turning to his mate.
"Come on, we're heading out" Klaus told him.
"Where?" Kurt asked, confused.
"I'll explain on the way" Klaus said, walking out the study.
Kurt sighed before walking out the study in order to catch up with Klaus as they were heading out of the mansion.
"Uh, where the hell are they heading?" Mike asked, confused.
"I don't know but lets continue watching and find out" Tina shrugged.
Mike nodded in agreement, sparing his ex-girlfriend a glance, before looking back at the screen.
The scene changes to the docks where we see Klaus and Kurt walking side by side.
The two of them entered an auto garage and as they walked inside Klaus looked around, trying to find a certain someone.
Klaus seemed to have spotted that someone and walked towards them with Kurt following behind him.
The two of them stopped and stood behind the person in silence.
The camera pans over to Josh, who was looking over his car, until he turns around and he jumps at seeing the hybrid and the human.
"God, man!" Josh yelled, clearly startled.
"I would've pissed my pants if that was me in his position" Trent muttered.
Thad shot his friend a disgusted look.
But he didn't disagree with him.
He would've pissed his pants too for just being in the same room as Klaus.
Considering everything they have seen, mainly the scenes with Klaus, he's a scary guy.
Klaus smiled at him while Kurt waved at him.
"I'll never get used to that. Why do I get the feeling you studied theater?" Josh asked.
"All the world's a stage, young Joshua. And, it just so happens, I have the role of a lifetime for you" Klaus said, his face showing nothing but seriousness.
Josh swallowed thickly, worry shown in his eyes.
As the two of them began conversing Kurt tuned them out, deep in thought.
He was worried about Hayley and Elijah.
He's wondering what's happening with Elijah with the bite that Klaus gave him.
He's wondering if Hayley is taking care of him, which he's sure she is.
But he's also wondering if Elijah is going to do something to hurt his best friend, which worries him.
"That worries me too" Carole muttered, frowning.
She knows that Hayley can take care of herself, from the looks of it she's been doing that for years.
But she can't help but worry because at the end of the day she's still a girl that was dragged into this mess for being pregnant with Klaus's child.
Just like her stepson but for being mated to Klaus.
She just hopes that Hayley, and Elijah, is alright.
After a few minutes Josh got into his car and drove off.
Klaus sighed before turning to Kurt causing Kurt to break out his thoughts and look at the hybrid.
"Where's Josh?" Kurt asked.
"He's left for now" Klaus told him.
"For now?" Kurt asked, raising an eyebrow.
"He's going to gather information and come back to tell me what he's managed to gather" Klaus explained.
Kurt hummed and nodded.
"What kind of information?" Blaine asked, turning to Gertrude.
"I don't know how about continue watching to find out" Gertrude rolled her eyes.
Blaine glared at her but Gertrude ignored him.
Some time has passed and the two men have just been talking to each other as they waited for Josh to arrive back with some information.
Finally, Josh returns.
He gets out of his car and is greeted by both men before beginning to tell them what he knows.
"Right, so...not doubting your mad-vampire-skills of destruction or anything, but Marcel's on red alert. Surrounded by, like, an army. You're totally boned" Josh told the hybrid.
Klaus looked angry at that while Kurt narrowed his eyes at the newbie vampire.
There was just something about the way he spoke and his body structure that told a different story.
"He's not the only one" Sue loudly commented.
This made everyone nodded in agreement.
There was something about the way Josh spoke that told a different story about the information he was sharing.
Josh hesitated before speaking again, "unless..." he trailed off.
Klaus snapped his head in his direction and asked, "unless what?".
"I overheard him arguing with Diego. Apparently, he's clearing out the compound tonight for a date or something. That's where Marcel will be" Josh told him.
"Something tells me Marcel isn't the only person that's going to be there" Santana muttered.
She had a feeling that Marcel found out what Klaus is up to and is angry at the hybrid for betraying him.
And she also had a feeling that Rebekah was helping him.
She wasn't too sure if she was or wasn't but it was just a feeling.
Looks like she'd have to wait a little longer to see if she was right or not.
And she 100% believes that she's right.
Klaus nodded at the information he received before letting a smile appear on his face.
"When I run New Orleans, there will be a permanent daylight ring in it for you, Joshua. For services rendered on to your true king" Klaus said.
Josh smiled at that, looking happy.
"Cool" he nodded.
"A daylight ring is what helps vampires walk outside during the daytime. If they don't have one of those rings on them they will burn and, well, die" Gertrude explained.
She saw the looks she was getting from everyone and decided to just answer before any of them could voice out their questions.
Everyone nodded at her, thanking her for the information, before putting their attention back onto the screen.
But the smile was wiped away from Klaus's face and he stepped towards Josh.
"But, if you ever betray me, I will make sure you spend the rest of your eternal life in exquisite agony, wishing for a merciful death" Klaus warned him.
Josh swallowed thickly at his words, clear fear shown in his eyes.
Klaus smiled at him and patted his shoulder before turning to Kurt.
"Come along, love. We have some place to be" Klaus told him.
Kurt nodded and the two of them left the auto garage.
Everyone couldn't help but tense up slightly.
They had a feeling something was going to go down and they just hoped that Kurt would be safe.
None of them really liked Klaus or even knew him that well.
And besides, he's an original hybrid that can definitely take care of himself.
They knew that Kurt can take care of himself but if something big was going to happen they were worried that he would get hurt.
And that's the last thing any of them want.
The scene changes to the abattoir and the camera pans to Kurt and Klaus who are walking into the courtyard of the compound.
Kurt is tense as they walked inside and began scanning the area, trying to search for any threats.
"Nik, is it smart to be here? What if we're walking into a trap?" Kurt asked.
He inched a little closer to his mate while his hand itched to the switchblade that was in his pocket.
He grabbed it before leaving the mansion.
"What the hell is a switchblade going to do? Especially against vampires" Sebastian asked, scoffing.
"It's better than nothing, meerkat" Santana rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, even if it won't do much damage it's better for him to have a weapon on him" Thad added.
Klaus, without looking at him, spoke, "relax love. Even if that were true I won't let anything happen to you".
Kurt huffed but said nothing as he continued looking around for any threats.
As they walked more into the courtyard they saw Marcel standing there.
"Klaus" Marcel greeted the original hybrid.
He then looked at the Hummel male.
"Kurt Hummel, mate of Klaus Mikaelson. Nice to meet you" Marcel smiled.
Kurt tensed at that, his hand going inside his pocket that held his switchblade.
Everyone tensed at not only seeing Marcel but at how he greeted Kurt.
He knew what Kurt was to Klaus and that wasn't good.
Especially if he was going to find a way to use Kurt as leverage against the hybrid.
Klaus tensed too before moving closer to his mate.
"You've been avoiding my calls" Klaus said.
"Little pissed off lately" Marcel said with a slight shrug.
"Apologies for my behavior can come later. You have something of mine. I want it back" Klaus told him.
Marcel hummed before pulling out the dagger and holds it up.
Kurt's eyes widened at seeing the dagger, shocked and confused as to why and how Marcel had it.
Everyone was shocked and confused as to how Marcel had gotten his hands on the dagger.
They thought that Klaus was the one that had the daggers.
From what they know in a previous episode he was the one that always had the daggers for whenever he decides to use it on his siblings.
"Sorry, but I can't do that" Marcel told him.
He then held it out to his side and Klaus and Kurt watched with wide eyes as Rebekah entered the courtyard.
She takes the dagger from Marcel and stood at his side.
"Bekah?" Kurt asked with a frown on his face.
Everyone's eyes widened at seeing Rebekah with Marcel, they didn't expect her to betray Klaus.
And they definitely didn't expect her to stand by the side of her old lover.
"I knew it" Santana muttered, feeling a little satisfied at being right.
She didn't want to admit that, for some weird reason, she was worried for the Mikaelson girl.
Rebekah looked surprised at seeing Kurt but quickly shook her head and turned to look at her brother.
"What is this?" Klaus asked, unamused and suspicious.
"Apologies for your behavior? You don't apologize, Nik. You just act. I've had enough. We have had enough" Rebekah said, gesturing to herself and Marcel.
Klaus raised an eyebrow at his sister and stepped forward.
Kurt eyed Rebekah and Marcel warily before stepping forward himself.
"Look at you. Finally in possession of the one thing that can take you down. How does it feel?" Klaus asked.
"If I were in her position I'm pretty sure I'd be ecstatic" Sam muttered.
Mercedes, having heard him, giggled but nodded in agreement.
It had to have felt great to have the dagger in Rebekah's hand.
Especially since that's the very weapon that Klaus uses against her along with the rest of her siblings.
"Great" Rebekah replied.
Marcel puts his fingers into his mouth and whistles loudly.
Footsteps are heard and Klaus and Kurt look around to see twenty or more vampires coming out and surrounded them.
Everyone tensed up at seeing some of Marcel's army appearing and looking ready to fight.
They weren't necessarily worried about Klaus since from what they have seen and learned, he can handle himself.
But the person they were worried for was Kurt.
"Oh god" Blaine muttered, clenching his fist at his sides.
If any of those vampires laid a hand on his Kurt, they were going to pay.
Kurt tensed at seeing the vampires surround them while Klaus chuckled as he looked at his sister and Marcel.
"So this is it? The evil bastard Klaus has gone too far, must be punished. And by his own sibling, nonetheless. How positively biblical. And you, Marcel, is this..." Klaus trailed off.
He gestured towards the vampires and asked, "your idea of a hit?".
"Is he really not worried?" Brittany asked, frowning
Sue shrugged as she leaned back into her seat.
"He's an original hybrid with tons of enemies and no doubt those enemies of his are dead. And, no doubt, he killed them himself. He can handle twenty vampires that try and fight him" Sue explained.
Now, while she didn't really like the original hybrid she did know that he was strong enough to handle anything.
And she knew that within seconds those vampires that are gonna go up against him are dead.
Especially if it meant keeping porcelain, the hybrids mate, safe.
"I taught you better than this paltry excuse for a take down. Do you think you can subdue me with this!?" Klaus angrily yelled.
Marcel shook his head with a smile, "no. But I think I can with this".
He whistled again and Kurt looked up and his eyes widened when he saw more and more vampires appearing.
It didn't help that all of them had weapons of their own, no doubt ready to use them against Klaus and hurt/torture him as best as they could.
Everyone's eyes widened at the vampires that appear in the courtyard to join the battle against Klaus Mikaelson.
And they had to admit that it was worrying indeed.
"Well, shit" Finn muttered.
Rachel, having heard him, slowly nodded her head in agreement.
Was Klaus really going to be able to take down those vampires all by himself?
What about Kurt? Was he going to get hurt if he decides to intervene?
Kurt swallowed thickly as he inched closer to his mate.
"Nik" Kurt whispered.
To say he was worried would be an understatement.
While Kurt knew that Klaus is powerful and can definitely handle himself, he didn't know if he would be able to handle all of these vampires.
"Worried about your future boyfriend, huh?" Quinn muttered under her breath, her lips twitching upwards.
Klaus glanced at his mate before turning his attention back to Rebekah and Marcel.
"Let's end this charade, shall we?" Klaus asked.
He then turned to the rest of the vampires and extended his arms out.
"Vampires of New Orleans! Do recall that I am an Original. A hybrid. I cannot be killed. Eternity is an awfully long time. How long, do you think, Marcel will stay in power? What if one of you lot were to release me, knowing I will be eternally in your debt? Oh, I would pity those of you who dared to cross me. I can assure you, your ends would be spectacular. To borrow a trick from an old friend" Klaus smiled.
He reaches his hand out and show everyone a gold coin.
"Whoever picks up this coin gets to live. Besides Kurt, of course" Klaus smiled.
He wrapped an arm around his mates shoulder causing Kurt to slowly lean into his touch.
Everyone remained silent, wondering what the vampires would do.
"Now, which of you magnificent bastards wants to join me?" Klaus asked, looking at the army of the vampires.
"Anyone wants that coin, pledge allegiance to Klaus. Take it now. Go ahead. The choice is yours" Marcel told his army.
Nobody from his army move causing Klaus to look at them in surprise for not picking up the coin while Kurt tensed more.
Marcel, on the other hand, smirks at the loyalty from his vamps.
"Of course they would side with Marcel. They're basically his minions and follow whatever he says and does" Sebastian rolled his eyes.
Those stupid vampires should've picked up the coin.
But they didn't.
And because of that they're going to die and that's going to be on them.
"Take him" Marcel ordered.
A few vampires immediately sped at Klaus, who quickly shoved Kurt aside, before taking them on and killing them instantly.
After he kills them he looks over at his sister and Marcel and grins at them, extending his arms out.
Kurt looks relieved at first but then his eyes widened when Marcel made a hand gesture to two of his vampires.
Said vampires used chains and wrapped them around Klaus's wrists, binding him.
Those vampires use their strength to pull Klaus backwards and he goes flying, landing on his back.
Everyone in the theater tensed at seeing how easily those vampires were able to bound Klaus.
Nobody said anything as they were too invested on the screen, wondering what would happen.
"Nik!" Kurt yelled, his eyes widening
He sees his mate get up and fight at all the vampires that run at him.
He puts up a good fight but then gets overpowered as almost all of them go at him without hesitation.
Kurt tries rushing forward, wanting to help, not wanting to let his mate fight those vampires on his own, but Rebekah grabs him by the arms and holds him back.
"Bekah, what are you doing?! Get off of me!" Kurt yelled, thrashing in her arms.
"No, you can't or you'll end up getting caught in the crossfire" Rebekah told him.
Kurt ignored her and continued thrashing in her arms, trying to get free in order to help Klaus.
Everyone was confused as to why Kurt was so worried about Klaus and why he wanted to help him.
They knew that he was mated to Klaus, which could be the reason why he's desperate to help, but he should know that Klaus can handle himself.
He should also know that if he tried intervening he was going to get hurt, or worse, killed.
The girls, on the other hand, couldn't stop the gtins from appearing on their faces at seeing Kurt worry about Klaus's safety.
It just shows how he cares for him.
Klaus fought back, of course, but more and more vampires kept coming at him and kept throwing either punches at him or used their weapons on him.
Kurt's eyes widened at seeing his mate being sent to his knees and how the vampires were using his weakness to their advantage to hurt him more.
Kurt clenched his jaw before stomping on Rebekah's foot, causing her to yelp in surprise, and breaks free from her hold and didn't hesitate to rush towards the battle.
"NO!" everyone shouted at seeing Kurt go into the battle.
"What is that idiot doing?!" Puck yelled with wide eyes.
"Does he have a death wish or something?!" Burt yelled in anger and fear.
Why did son put himself in danger all for someone like Klaus?
He gets that they're mates, even if he's still trying to process the entire thing.
But why can't his son worry about his own safety?
Some vampires see him coming and run at him.
Some of them try landing hits on them but Kurt easily dodges and sweeps their legs from underneath.
Two vampires try to come up from behind him but Kurt spins around and grabs them by their necks, snapping them and letting their bodies fall.
"Is it weird that something like this shocks me?" Nick asked.
"I don't blame you" Jeff muttered.
They have never seen Kurt fight before since, from what Blaine told them, Kurt was never the type of person to use violence.
So seeing him fight those vampires easily is still shocking for them.
Kurt turns around to where Klaus is and his eyes widened when he sees one of Marcel's vampires, he believes his name is Diego, grab his chin and forces him to look up.
Diego glares down at him before slashing his face with a knife.
Klaus yells in pain before Diego sends a hard punch to his face.
Brittany whimpered slightly at seeing Klaus go through all of that.
She knows that he's not a good person but she believes that he doesn't deserve that.
She closes her eyes and presses her face into Santana's chest.
Santana tensed a little at her ex-girlfriends actions but slowly wrapped her arms around her, hugging her comfortingly.
Just because things ended between them long ago doesn't mean she doesn't care for her.
She does because at the end of the day Brittan is, always will be, her best friend.
Everyone watched the scene with tense expressions.
Was the great Klaus Mikaelson really going to be overpowered like this?
Blaine, on the other hand, had a faint smirk plastered on his face and he felt satisfaction course through his body.
This is what Klaus deserves after all.
If those vampires managed to kill him then that means Kurt won't have a reason to stay in New Orleans any longer.
And it means he'll come home, to him.
"No! Nik!" Kurt yelled, fear visible in his tone and eyes.
He begins running, trying to get to Klaus and help him, when a vampires speeds in front of him.
Kurt's eyes widened when the vampire grabs a handful of his hair and yanks him closer to him.
"Stay out of this, human!" the vampire sneered.
Kurt tries to break free but the vampire easily lifts him up and tosses him aside.
Kurt collides into a wall, hard, and falls to the ground with a loud thud.
"KURT!" everyone shouted, their eyes wide in fear at what they had just seen.
Burt and Finn tried lunging at the screen but they were held back by Carole and Rachel.
Sebastian and Thad barely had time to hold back Blaine.
The same can be said for the staff of McKinley when they saw Sue trying to lunge at the screen.
Because as much as they hate seeing Kurt get hurt they know that they, unfortunately, can't do anything to help.
"Kurt!" Rebekah yelled, her eyes wide in shock and concern.
Kurt groans in pain as he lies on the ground, struggling to get up.
The camera pans over to Klaus, whose head was bowed forward, who perked up at hearing his sister yelling his mates name.
Not to mention the groans of pain coming from his mate that he also heard.
A deep growl escapes his lips and he picks his head up, his hybrid face coming out.
Rebekah turns back to her brother and her eyes widened in fear and her grip on the dagger loosened, causing it to drop to the ground.
Marcel looked shocked and scared at seeing Klaus with his hybrid face.
Which indicates that he wasn't going to hold back anymore.
Everyone's eyes widened and they felt shivers go down their spines at seeing Klaus's hybrid face comes out.
One things for sure is that it definitely, 100%, rivaled Tyler's.
Especially at how enraged he looked.
"Oh shit" Puck breathed out.
"Oh shit indeed" Mike nodded in agreement.
It was about to go down. Especially now that Klaus was done playing nice.
Klaus swiftly gets up on his feet and begins attacking the vampires that were nearby and, this time, he was the one sending them to the ground or killing them.
After biting one of the vampires he used his speed to grab the vampire that had hurt his mate.
He beats them up pretty badly before ripping out his heart and tossed his body, along with his heart, to the ground.
"MARCEL! COME AND FINISH THIS!" Klaus roared.
Everyone jumped at his roar.
Not only that but they shivered as they took in Klaus's appearance.
His hybrid face was still out, he was definitely still full of rage, and blood was covering his mouth along with a few other parts of his face.
Marcel tried running forward but Rebekah quickly stopped him.
"Smart" Sebastian muttered.
He knew that Klaus would just kill Marcel if he tried to intervene.
The camera pans back over to Klaus who continued killing the vampires that came at him, not holding back on any of them.
Klaus punched Diego before lifting him off and tossing him to the ground to which he groaned in pain and coughed.
Klaus then used his vampire speed to rush at the other vampire before jumping forward as he grabbed onto a few of them and instantly killed them.
He turned around and his hand wrapped around the throat of a female vampire and got ready snap her neck.
"ENOUGH!" Marcel finally shouted.
Everyone flinched at hearing Marcel's shout.
But they continued watching the scene with their full attention as they wanted to know if he would fight Klaus or would surrender.
Silence filled the courtyard and the fighting came to a stop as Klaus let go of the vampire.
Everyone whipped their heads to look at Marcel, wondering what he would do.
Marcel pressed his lips together tightly before stepping forward and crouched down to the ground.
He slowly picked up the coin and held it up, looking up and making eye contact with Klaus.
"Holy shit. He actually did it" Finn breathed out in disbelief.
"He actually surrender to him" Rachel breathed out with the same amount of disbelief.
None of them could believe that Marcel would easily give up his power, his kingdom, to Klaus.
But they guessed that he knew that he couldn't win against the original hybrid.
And if he tried then he would end up dying along with the vampires that did.
Klaus walked towards him with nothing but amusement shown in his eyes.
"Well, well, well. The great Marcel, self-proclaimed king of New Orleans, bowing before me" Klaus said.
Marcel glared at him before throws the coin at Klaus's feet.
"There. I hereby pledge my allegiance to you. You have the keys to my kingdom. It's yours" Marcel told him.
Klaus said nothing and simply let a gleeful smile appear on his face.
"Of course he would be happy now that he has what he always wanted" Blaine muttered in annoyance.
He wanted nothing more than for those vampires to kill Klaus.
And even if they would fail he was hoping that Marcel would have the balls to do it himself.
But he doesn't.
And now not only does Klaus still live but he's now the new ruler of New Orleans.
A groan was heard which made Klaus whip his head around.
The camera pans over to Kurt, who was now sitting on the ground, who has a hand clutching onto his head.
Klaus's eyes widened at the state his mate was in and sped over to him.
When the hybrid was close he crouched down in front of his mate and gently cupped his face with his hands.
"Love, are you alright?" Klaus softly asked, his eyes scanning over his mate for injuries.
"I'm in a bit of pain but I'm alright" Kurt told him.
"Poor Kurt seems to always be in pain" Carole softly said.
She hated seeing her stepson get hurt and all she wanted was to hug him and protect him from the world.
"His ass better get home and he better be in bed resting" Burt scowled.
He's tired of seeing his son, whether he can take care of himself or not, and just wants him to rest in bed.
His safety, his health, is all that matters to Burt right now.
Klaus frowned and gently scooped his mate in his arms, carrying him bridal style.
Kurt sighed and buried his face into the hybrids chest, bringing his arms up to wrap around his shoulders.
"Come on, lets get you home" Klaus said.
Kurt nodded and closed his eyes.
Klaus looked at him with soft eyes before turning to Rebekah and glared at her, causing her to look away guiltily.
Klaus spared Marcel and his remaining army a glance before speeding out of the courtyard to head back to the mansion.
Everyone sighed in relief, happy that Kurt was out of that place and heading back home.
The scene changes back to the mansion and the camera pans inside and we head into Kurt's room.
The door opens and Klaus walks in, still carrying his mate in his arms, and he turns the lights on and walks over to the bed.
Once Klaus reaches the bed he gently lays his mate down on it.
The camera pans to Kurt and we see he's fast asleep.
Everyone's eyes softened at seeing Kurt's sleeping state and small smiles appeared on some people's faces.
"He looks so peaceful" Ms. Pillsbury softly said.
"Yeah he does" Mr. Schue nodded.
Blaine stared at the screen with a soft smile and nothing but love in his eyes.
Seeing Kurt in the state that he's in now just makes him miss him more and more.
Klaus takes Kurt's shoes off and sets them down somewhere before grabbing the blanket and pulled it up to cover his mate.
Just before Klaus could leave so his mate could sleep he stopped and stared at him.
Klaus could feel his eyes soften at the state Kurt was in and felt his heart flutter at how beautiful he looked.
To him, Kurt is always beautiful but seeing him look so peaceful like this made him even more beautiful.
Klaus leaned down and placed a soft kiss to his mates forehead.
"Goodnight, love" Klaus whispered, gently caressing his mates hair.
Klaus walks away, turning the light off, and leaves the room as he quietly closes the door behind him.
Just like that the smile that was on Blaine's face disappeared and was now replaced with a scowl.
The only one that should call Kurt beautiful is him.
The only one that should act affectionate towards Kurt is him.
He and Kurt are meant to be, not him and Klaus, and he's not going to lose him to some hybrid that only cares about himself.
Meanwhile, the girls were doing their best not to squeal out loud.
The scene changes to the next day and the camera pans to Kurt who was walking out of the kitchen while eating a breakfast burrito.
Klaus was currently upstairs and Rebekah had returned home, knowing she would have to face her brother one way or another.
"If I were her I would've ran off and not looked back" Mike frowned.
He knew that Klaus was most likely going to punish Rebekah for betraying him and siding with Marcel to take him down.
And he knew that the punishment he had planned for her was daggering her and shoving her into her coffin.
"Even if she did run no doubt he would track her down" Tina reminded him.
She wanted Rebekah to run to avoid getting daggered.
But there she knew that it would be a waste of him.
Klaus would've done whatever he could to find her and dagger her the second he found her.
The camera pans to the front door and we see it opening and we see Elijah walking inside.
"Elijah, good to see you're doing better" Kurt smiled.
"Hello, Kurt. Yes, I'm also glad to be better" Elijah smiled.
"Where's Hales?" Kurt asked, looking around for his best friend.
"Hayley is outside. Where are Niklaus and Rebekah?" Elijah asked, looking around for his siblings.
Kurt said nothing and simply gestured upstairs. Elijah nodded and headed upstairs.
Kurt walks outside and smiles when he sees his best friend sitting on the front steps, looking deep in thought, a book in her hands.
"Where did she get that book from?" Blaine asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"How about be quiet and continue watching and you'll find out" Gertrude rolled her eyes.
Blaine glared at her but Gertrude just ignored him.
"Hey, Hales" Kurt greeted his best friend, taking a seat next to her.
"Hey, Kurt" Hayley greeted her best friend.
She looked at him just in time to see him offering her a bite of his breakfast burrito.
Hayley smiled before taking a big bite and hummed at how delicious it was.
"That was my reaction too. Anyways, what happened in the bayou? And what's with the book?" Kurt asked.
Hayley's eyes widened and she immediately startled telling her best friend everything that happened in the bayou.
"I met this woman in the bayou, her name is Eve. And she told us some information about my family" Hayley told him.
"Like what?" Kurt asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Like the fact that Marcel had a witch curse them so that they are wolves every single day and that they can only turn back humans on the full moon" Hayley explained.
Everyone's eyes widened at that since they weren't expecting that.
"Wait, really? Is that possible?" Mr. Schue asked.
All eyes fell on Gertrude who sighed but nodded her head.
"Marcel had a witch put a werewolf curse on them. It's called the Crescent curse and that curse has them stay in werewolf form and they only turn back humans on the full moon" Gertrude explained.
Everyone all looked at each other at the information they just learned.
Even if they didn't know the werewolves that were cursed they couldn't help but feel bad for them.
They definitely wouldn't want to be in their position where they basically have to remain werewolves for the rest of their lives.
Kurt's eyes widened at that as he paused his eating.
"Holy shit" Kurt breathed out.
"Yeah, but that's not all" Hayley told him.
She opened the book to a certain page and handed it to her best friend who took it with confused eyes.
"This is a bible that contains a family tree that goes back generations. And look at the last name that is listed on the page that I turned to" Hayley said.
Kurt frowned but looked down at the page that held the last name.
Andrea Labonair, 6 June 1991
"Hales" Kurt muttered, his eyes wide in disbelief.
"I think that's my birth name. It has to be since that's the days I was born. I think I'm Andrea" Hayley told him.
"Wait, wait, so her real name isn't Hayley Marshall?" Carole asked.
"Yes, Andrea is the names the she was given at birth. Of course, she never knew that since she was adopted as a baby and believed that the names Hayley was what she was born with" Gertrude explained.
Carole hummed before nodding her head.
Kurt couldn't believe all this information his best friend has just shared with him.
It was alot to process, that's for sure.
He opened his mouth to say something when the door opened causing him to turn around and see Klaus walking out.
Klaus walked by them and spoke without looking at either of them.
"You two are coming with me" Klaus said.
Kurt raised an eyebrow at that and closed the book as he handed it back to Hayley.
"And why would we go anywhere with you?" Hayley asked, taking the book back from her best friend.
"Pretty sure he would kill you both if you didn't" Sebastian commented.
"Not true. Hayley is the mother of his child" Thad reminded him.
"And don't forget that Kurt is his mate" Trent added.
There's no way Klaus would hurt, let alone kill, either of them.
Klaus turned around to face the mother of his child.
"Because, Hayley, that child you carry is the only thing on this earth that matters to me. Along with Kurt, my mate, of course" Klaus told her.
Kurt let a small smile appear on his face and continued eating his breakfast burrito.
While Hayley looked between her best friend and Klaus with furrowed eyebrows.
"Aww, he admitted it" Mercedes gushed, clasping her hands together in excitement.
The girls nodded as they began to gush themselves.
"Now you can fight me on this, but you will lose" Klaus said.
He walked towards the car that was parked and opened both the car door of the back and the passenger seat.
"As will anyone else who tries to stop you two from getting in this car" Klaus finished, waiting for the two of them to get into the car.
The best friends look at each other before sighing and getting up.
Kurt quickly finished his breakfast burrito before walking to the car and gets into the passenger seat while Hayley gets in the back.
Klaus nods in satisfaction at seeing them both get inside before getting inside himself and drives off.
The screen turns black, indicating that the episode was over, and everyone sighs.
Everything that happened and what they learned from Hayley was alot to process.
Not to mention some were still trying to figure out just what was going on between Klaus and Kurt
Because they were getting way too close to each other.
They get that they're mates and they're trying to get to know each other better but it was still strange.
It could easily be passed off as them trying to just be friends but they don't believe that.
Especially Blaine.
Looks like they would just have to continue watching and see what would happen next.
