It was just a normal day for Gingersplash, Hunting Patrol in the morning, bringing her catch to the Elders, a quick chat with Treefall and Birdwing, her parents, then more patrols. But destiny had other plans for young Gingersplash, far beyond her imagination.

Just after Gingersplah had a Boarder Patrol, she went out for a stroll to clear her head. The treacherous hot weather was clouding up her judgement. She had nearly missed the squirrel that was sitting right in front of her during Hunting Patrol! She had also seen a suspicious cat lurking in the bushes during Boarder Patrol and simply ignored it! What was happening to her? She agreed to herself that she was going to be more careful when "the suspicious cat" appeared out of nowhere and approached her. Gingersplash was so busy daydreaming that she didn't even notice.

"I've seen you around" the cat said, awakening Gingersplash from her daydream. "Who are you?" Gingersplash replied, backing away slowly. "Oh, no need to be scared, young warrior." The cat replied, then paused, waiting to see Gingersplash's reaction. Gingersplash looked into the cat's dull, green eyes. "What's your name?". She guessed that it would have something to do with the cat's long, shiny white fur. "I'm Whiterain" the cat said.

"I have to go..." Gingersplash said suddenly, "But you'll meet me here tomorrow at this time, right?". Whiterain agreed and then turned away, a smile growing on her face. "Mission accomplished" she whispered, as she ran through the trees. "Until tomorrow".
