Chapt. 1 ~ The Bar

Third Person Perspective

A few weeks ago, Alastor had joined the Happy Hotel. He was a great help and decently behaved. Especially with him adding Niffty.

Most of the guests so far had just been travelers, no one much interested in redemption, which always made Angel Dust and Alastor laugh. That always pissed off Vaggie, but they were also careful to not much hurt Charlie's feelings.

Today's mood in the hotel seemed different today to Alastor. More relaxed and excited. Though he had to admit the hotel was usually relaxed and calm and sometimes enjoyable to work in. He decided to see what was going on.

"Hello everyone! What seems to have brought the mood up so high?" He exclaimed, standing there in his common stance. Back straight, bright smile, feet spread at an obtuse angle, and hand rested on his microphone staff, it an arm length from his body.

"Hey smiles." Angel Dust greeted with his common grin. Charlie greeted him with a good afternoon. "We're just meeting up with our friend later tonight." Angel explained.

"Ah! Well that should be fun! Meeting up with people you know is always splendid!" He exclaimed, then looked at his bat creature acquaintance. "Right Husk~?" He purred.

"Shut the fuck up." He growled to Alastor, making him chuckle.

"So who is this friend of you twos? Who could possibly match well with both of your personalities!" He exclaimed, probably sounding insulting.

"Wouldn't you like to know~" Angel purred, before stopping and thinking. "Hey! Actually! You might like her!" Angel commented making Alastor laugh.

"Me! Like one of your friends! She probably acts like you if she's your friend!" Alastor said in one of his many switcheroo announcer voices.

"Nope, she's hot, but she's not like me." Angel explained, fluffing out his chest.

"Well then what could I possibly like about your friend!" Alastor turned away from them, giving them a squinted eye smile without revealing it to them.

"Well you like songs and stuff and she is a singer." Angel said, "a pretty damn good one at that." He grinned, thinking of his friend.

"Yeah, she's a great singer! She's only been here a few months and she's got a huge fan base!" Charlie commented, Alastor nodded and turned back toward them, bowing slightly.

"Well then! I can assist you to this place you are meeting her! She sound exquisite!" He smiled at them, eyes half lidded as he was relaxed. "Where will we be meeting her exactly?" He asked, brushing his claws on his top then looking at them again.

"The bar a few blocks down, she has a gig tonight." Angel grinned toward Charlie, aware that she wasn't much comfortable with bars, but was willing to go for her friend.

"So how did you two meet this enticing sounding woman?" Alastor asked, Charlie was quick to answer.

"I found her singing in the alley beside the hotel when it was still in process of being made and sorted out! Her voice was so nice and welcoming, I couldn't help but sing along to it. She laughed when she realized I was there with her. She wasn't rude to me or anything and said that I had a nice voice and she winked and said I might upstage her. Last time I saw her we had a sing off and a duet." Charlie giggles excitedly. Alastor just smiled and nodded, then looked to Angel.

"Eh. One of her gigs was in a strip club. I knew about her but didn't think she was as great as people had told me until I heard her. She's actually a lot prettier than described too. We talked and drank at the bar after her gig, after that, I usually met up with her after gigs." Angel took a swig of his drink that he had gotten from the bar from Husk.

"Oh, you're talking about that angel looking chic?" Husk questioned.

"Yeah! You know her?" Angel asked.

"Yeah, she helped me win a game by distracting most the guys with her voice and bod." He chuckled greedily, thinking of the thick stacks of cash.

"I doubt she did that on purpose. She doesn't really like the stuff she has to wear in her gigs you know." Charlie said.

"Whatever toots! I ain't interested in her." Husk opened a new glass of booze.

Angel Dust, Charlie and Alastor, along with their surprise chaperone, Vaggie, entered the bar. Vaggie scoffed at the strong smell of alcohol as they went to the bar and took a seat, decently close to the stage. They got their drinks, and by they I mean Angel and Alastor.

The four talked for a little bit. At least before the lights suddenly dimmed and all attention turned to the stage as an angelic figure appeared from behind the curtains. The curtains that had once hid her from all the excited eyes that hungered her or her voice.

The whole bar went silent as music started playing.
