UnwantedDagger33 I wasn't sure how long this would be to type up and to keep things a little organized I'm posting it here.

Okay so I was thinking about deflect and his story of how he got his mark. So he's dark skinned, obviously, so his whole family is dark skinned, obviously. So I was thinking during this time period slavery was a big problem. Especially with black people Dominic is darker skinned but with Amos, Amos is just black. So it's black people that get sucked into that life and forced to work for rich people.

His family managed to escape and live a normal life for a pretty long time with his small family before a hunter discovered them on their little secluded farm they'd been hiding out on and he captured them all.

It was Amos, his parents, and then his little sister. The hunter planned and selling them into the slave trade for a lot of money. But he ended up jumping the gun and his anger and emotions got the better of him.

Amos' father had acted out and bit the hunter as the hunter was tying them all up. Out of his rage of being bitten, he killed Amos' father while the family watched. The hunter had told his mother to shut up and stop screaming after she'd watched her husband died and ended up killing her too to quiet her.

Amos panicked and managed to wriggle out of his bonds and ran to his sister to try and protect her before the hunter could hurt her too.

When the hunter swung his sword, Amos' abilities formed a forcefield around himself. The sword bounced off the shield and the hunter impaled himself.

Amos took his sister and escaped with her and they went back into hiding. She unfortunately died that following winter from hypothermia.

Amos can't physically see things, but his abilities allow him to "see" things around him. He "sees" things through the energy they emit. He's able to take the energy of those things and replicate it, using it back on that person. He's very limited with his abilities and what he can use. If he uses it, it mostly just protects himself and doesn't do much damage to whomever he's facing.

He'd used the hunter's emotions of defense to protect himself when the hunter was coming to attack him
