Quick Note: Spoilers ahead for some of the movies I name drop. So if you have not seen these movies, scroll down as fast as you can to avoid them because they will be listed. The spoilers I know is simply because of watching spoiler videos by some of my favorite Youtubers and Google posting articles about them that peeked my interest a bit, simple as that. Also, if some of this offends you, guys, it's for comedy purposes only. I'm not a hater by any means, so don't take it seriously.

"Alright, we've got Disney movies, we've got Marvel movies, we've got DC, we've got Fox movies, and my personal favorite..." Spyder announces to the room full of guests while holding a stack of DVDs. He smacks them down on the center table for dramatic effect before revealing his movie type, "the Jurassic Park movies!

"As long as no one picks the High School Musical trilogy, I'm staying." Mark stated.

"Bye." Casey waved mockingly, to which Mark smacked her playfully.

"Come on dude, that's a classic." Jackson defended the films.

"You watched High School Musical?" Mark inquired in slight disbelief.

"Who didn't?" Jackson posed the question.

"Kids with no childhood and who lack the joy of singing and dancing." Alyssa commented.

"True." Nigel agreed and received some 'mhm's'.

Veracity put down her drink and combatted to that, "it's overrated honestly."

"What?" Jackson reacted in shock and Casey with, "boo!"

Veracity put her hands up, "keeping it real."

"No you know what's overrated? Avengers Endgame." Harris gave his opinion.

"Oh you better watch where you say that, the fanboys and girls will eat you alive." Mark warned him.

"It's not bad, but it felt predictable. We knew they were going to win, we knew Ironman was going to die, we knew they would find a way to return all of the Infinity Stones. It's not this huge blockbuster that they tried to hype it up to be." Harris explained his reasoning.

"Well did you know Black Widow was going to die? Did you know that Ironman was going to have a daughter-"

"She's so cute!" Mackenzie cooed.

"And did you know that Steve was going to go back and live his life out with Peggy and give Sam his shield?" Alyssa finished for Spyder, to which Harris was silent, "no, so techincally it's not all that predictable.

"Man, Cap lost all of his development when he did that. I was like, the point of you coming out of the ice was to evolve and become a version of yourself that you never thought you could be before. But no, let's just go back in time and forget you were ever found, the end." Nigel gave his thoughts, making Casey snort in agreement.

"If you look at it that way sure. I think he was finally doing something he wanted rather than thinking about everyone else. He gave into his own desires for once and I think he deserved it honestly." Mackenzie replied as she grabbed the pack of gummy bears across from her.

"He deserves to lick my shoe, man heck no. After Civil War, I was done." Jackson disagreed.

"You're just biased because Ironman's your favorite." Alyssa commented.

"...that's not the point." Jackson failed to think of a good reply.

"No no, he shouldn't of kept that from Tony. I get why he did it, but come on dude. You knew Howard, why would you do that? And the fact that Bucky was involved just...it just hurt man." Mark backed him up.

"It felt like a whole bromance triangle to be honest." Casey said, popping a sour patch kid in her mouth.

"Right? After the movie came out, I found this thing that said Stucky vs. Stony." Nigel spoke.

"Goodness, don't get me started on that." Veracity remarked with an eyeroll.

"People man...they're crazy." Jackson had said, Veracity agreeing alongside him.

"Oh you guys it's just for fun." Mackenzie retorted.

"No I don't have a problem with it, I just don't get it. Why is there a battle between the ships when Tony and Steve were never friends to begin with?" Jackson queried.

"Well that's a stretch, I mean if they weren't friends, they wouldn't work well on the battlefield. Besides, by Age of Ultron, they're established as friends." Alyssa answered him.

"Man we're all sittin' up here talking about Marvel," Casey says, "when we all know DC is better."

"Ah haha ha!" Mark laughed dramatically, his way of saying she was being ridiculous. The others laughed at his mocking, "that's a good one."

"Okay live action wise, whatever. Comic book wise? Marvel gets blown out of the water." Casey defended her statement.

"She's right, I mean I like Marvel and all, but DC is my shit." Nigel backed her up.

"Please don't fight over which is better, social media does that enough." Mackenzie remarked.

"Yeah besides, it's a closed case," Spyder adds onto that, "Marvel dominates, hands down."

"You would say that." Casey's eyes rolled.

"Whatchu mean?" Spyder asked.

"You're a spiderman fanatic." Casey replied.

"Hell yeah, Spiderman is lit, I've been a fan since I was three." Spyder proudly stated.

"Same bro, but then it made me wonder why I can like him and not actual spiders." Harris speaks.

"Well you can't gain spider powers from a real spider. You just risk dying if you're bit, that's why they're scary." Alyssa explained, a little shutter at the end.

"They've never bothered me, I think it's just a women thing." Nigel shrugged it off and drank some of his water. When he secured the cap back on, every female in the room was giving him a not-so-friendly stare, "what?"

"You did not just say that." Veracity retorted.

"For real, it's goes both ways my friend." Casey said.

"Yeah, y'all can be pussies too." Alyssa stated.

"Oh uh uh, wait a minute wait minute wait a minute, pause for the cause," Mark stopped her in her tracks, "don't get it twisted, don't you call on men to help with your problems?"

"Now that's just sexist, we don't need you guys for everything. Ever heard of the independent woman?" Veracity rebuttled.

"For example," Casey proved her point by looking to every girl in the room, "need I say more?"

"Yeah but, who ultimately saved the day?" Jackson inquired smugly.

"Not you with your ass chillin' on the floor." Alyssa dissed, taking a sip of her orange juice.

The group shared a laugh as Jackson rolled his eyes and Casey stood up to head upstairs. She still heard a very sentences out of her friends before completely disappearing, like Jackson jokingly arguing with, "whatever, you're just hatin' on me because I'm black," and Alyssa combatting that comment with, "oh my gosh, you always go there, I'm not racist. We wouldn't be friends if that were the case." Casey shook her head at the ridiculousness. Arriving at the top of the stairs, she walked down the hallway and peeked her head into the nearest bedroom. There, she saw the one person who was missing from the bunch. She crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe, "hey."

"Hi," Ryan greeted back, sitting on his bed, "I'll be down in a second."

Casey made her way over to him and sat down, getting comfortable, "are you okay?"

Ryan looked stared at his hands, watching for any surprises. Nothing happened and he ssighed, "sure," his head turned towards her, "I guess," Casey raised an eyebrow and he looked back down, "I don't know."

"Well, can I say that I thought you were totally hot when you threw your subconscious out?" Casey complimented him. Ryan looked to her and chuckled while she smiled at him, "you did, you had everybody shook."

"That wasn't the point but, thanks," Ryan retorted and then paused for a short moment before he said, "I'm still confused on how all of this works."

"Well it's fairly complicated, your clone could only be seen by you and us because it was on the technopathic plane." Casey tells him.

"So like the time I talked to Seth when he was held captive by Grey underground?" Ryan questioned.

"Yeah." Casey confirmed.

"So how come everyone else could see him?" Ryan asked.

"Because he can be more physically present when he needs to be." Casey answers.

Ryan nods, understanding a little bit more than he did previously. He shifted on his bed to face her entirely, "has this happened before?"

"Yes...and no, a few have escaped, but we caught them before. How yours slipped through our hands still confuses me." Casey replies.

"You did good though." Ryan commends her.

Casey smiles and scoffs, "Alyssa might disagree, but thank you."

"She's proud of you, I saw it." Ryan reassures her.

"Well I'll take your word for it." Casey retorts. Ryan went silent again, prompting her to continue, "you know I talked with Kenzie and the others, they said something about your powers."

"Are they still different?" Ryan quizzed, pointing to his eyes.

Casey took a peek and answers, "they never changed back."

"Or want to," Ryan shrugged, "that's going to be a problem, people will think these are contacts and then ask where I got them."

"True," Casey chuckled a little before getting back to her case earlier, "but that's not what I meant," Ryan was confused, "you've been granted with empty promises, mainly since we've been so busy and because your evil half was trying to manipulate you into doing stronger."

Ryan nods, "what's your point?"

"My point is that, I think that you should ditch this place for a while and come with us." Casey offers him.

"And do what?" Ryan wonders.

"Let us train you, give you proper control of your abilities and help you prepare for whatever comes next because trust me, this is only half of it." Casey explains.

Ryan's interest and excitement levels rise, "really? You're serious?" Casey nods, "I don't know."

"We have food, you're not gonna starve." Casey says.

"No no, that's not the issue," Ryan laughs lightly, "I just..." he sighs, "I think we both know that I've made a lot of decisions this year that have been crazy."

"Understatement, but continue." Casey comments, her usual snark shining through in a playful manner.

"What if I mess this up too?" Ryan inquires.

"Well if you do, at least you'll have more people to help you that understand. We won't let you fall, Ry," Casey responds, a gentleness to her tone that he has not yet heard. He faces her again, as if contemplating his choice, "it's up to you but, I think you would thrive if you let us in."

The young pilot locked eyes with her one last time, the lingering gaze binding them to the bed. He swallowed quietly, thinking, processing, weighing out his options.

"Hey, when does your mom get back?" Spyder questions Mark, cutting back down to the main room in the house.

"Not until three, her company's having a meeting." Mark tells him.

"Ugh, you're still crushing on his mom?" Veracity groaned in disgust.

"Nope, that's done and dead." Spyder ripostes.

"Really?" Mackenzie says slyly, her eyes glancing towards her best friend for a brief moment, "you have your eye on someone else?"

Spyder looked in the same direction, at the female brains of the team up and down, "you could say that."

Veracity stared at him for a little bit before looking away, hiding her smile effortlessly.

"So...Harper?" Nigel catechizes.

The gang shared a look, with Harris shrugging in uncertainty, "I don't know."

"V?" Alyssa put her on the spot.

Veracity sighed as the attention poured onto her, "I don't know, he's him. I have no idea what he plans on doing next but, he's on the road to redemption. Whether I support it or not, I can't say."

"He ghosted right after we came back, should we see where he is?" Jackson queries.

"No," Mark answers, "he wants to be alone. He said that we've done enough, though I don't know exactly what we've done."

"Well when he does come back, what do we do?" Spyder wonders.

Mark looks at him, then down at the floor, and back to the entire squad, "I really don't know, but we'll figure it out," he smiles, "we always do."

Cutting back upstairs, Ryan looks to Casey, having made his decision, "when do we start?"
