CHAPTER 2.

I turned around to see who the voice belongs to. I was confronted with a lovely young Korean lady who was a little shorter than I am.

Her black hair is curled into a fringe that ends at her mid-back, she has black eyes that seem to connect with her grin, and her make-up is carefully applied. She was dressed in a black and ash sweatshirt with a black skirt, a black coat, and a little clutch bag on her shoulders.

I lowered my sight to her feet, which were covered behind a pair of black short-heeled boots and shifted uncomfortably under my scrutiny.

"Her voice doesn't match her petite face." I thought.

"Please accept my apologies for interrupting. "I just wanted to make a suggestion because you appear to be undecided," the young lady explained. I flashed her a half-hearted smile before returning my focus to the barista.

"I will take Vanilla bean latte then and a tiramisu cake with it. Thanks." I said to the barista.

The barista nodded, I strolled up to an empty table beside the left window, facing the café's entrance. I vaguely heard the young lady telling the barista she would take the same order as mine. As I waited for my order, I hung my bag on the chair, slid it back carefully while removing my camera round my neck, sat down and placed my camera on the table, staring out the window at passers-by. The one recognizable voice that belonged to the young lady interrupted me once again from my thoughts.

"Can I join you?" she begged, her eyes pleadingly on me.
I gazed up at her, puzzled as to why she, a complete stranger, would want to engage with me and why she kept smiling so sweetly at me. My gloomy face now feels as if it has to sparkle with excitement. At the time, I didn't feel like having company. I just want to drink my coffee and be alone with my thoughts, but something inside of me won't let me refuse her invitation.

As a result, I nodded in answer to her. She seemed so excited and happy at my response as she took the seat in front of me and proceeded to start a conversation with me after hanging her bag and coat on the chair.

"Are you a tourist or an exchange student? It's unusual to see black people here." She cuts me off as she notices my expression isn't exactly inviting after her last sentence. "I didn't mean to offend anyone." Please accept my apologies. I just want to emphasize how difficult it is to meet foreigners." She went on.

"It's alright. I apologize if I made you feel uneasy. I'm a tourist. I came here to take a break from some stuff," I explain. Before I could go any further, I came to a halt. I'm not sure why I said something I shouldn't have to a stranger.
"You didn't make me feel at all uneasy." It's great that you came to explore here. Have you been able to do so by the way, and how do you like it here?" While the young lady chatted, the waitress placed our orders on the table, smiled, and walked away.

I took a sip of my vanilla latte under her scrutiny gaze which was expressing what I think about the drink she recommended. One thing I've noticed about her is how she is easy to read. Her facial expressions reveal her emotions. I really should inquire her name because calling her lady sounds odd in my head.
"It tastes good. The flavour appeals to me. And, yes, I believe I am loving this location, but I haven't done much exploring. Moreover, because this is my last day here, I don't have much time to complete it." I told her.

"Really?" she asked, astonished by my previous statement. It's your last day, and you haven't done any exploring. How long have you been around? "By the way, where are you from?"
"I've been here for two weeks. I'm also from Nigeria."
"Nigeria! That's fantastic. You still have lot of hours before returning home. Then may I give you a personal tour? Before you leave, you should take in some magnificent scenery." She fixed her gaze on me.

Since today is my last day and I don't have much else to do, it wouldn't hurt to take advantage of the opportunity to explore a little more. As a reaction, I nodded to her once again. In return, she flashed me her full, bright smile. We then continued to eat our food in silence. After finishing our meal and discarding our cups, we walked out of the café. She indicated the direction we're heading to by pointing to her right.

Turns out the stranger is a lady. If you've got it right...👏👏👏 Here you go. Did you all enjoy this chapter 2.. Do comment and vote. Thank you. 🤗😊 Next chapter will be up on Friday. Be expectant.
