{Levi Ackerman}
Title: A Tale of Two Misunderstoods
Anime: Attack on Titan
A/N: For old times sake, and a thank you for the continuous love and support I receive despite this book being the epitome of cringe and overall illiteracy. ( Why do I always do Levi LMAO)

To put it simply, you were...different. Not the cliche, reserved or outcast different, more...intellectually different. Whether or not people seen you as a monster didn't really matter to you. Everyday was a matter of life or death and emotions were the least of your worries. But were they really? You believed that in your heart, but knew that a certain person was the exception to that belief. It was as taboo as taboo could go. The ultimate sin in your community, and you loved it.
You were smart, and that was a problem. Not for you, of course, the world was in the palm of your hand and you'd be damned if you let the present rain on that. The public deemed you a witch, quite predictably so, in fear of what you were capable of and what they were not.
"Atta girl, now why don't you tell us how you got them powers of yours." The guard asked, his British accent flowing with his words.
"I told you, I am not a witch." You said, glaring at him through the gaps of your cell door.
"Well, whatever. You're going to die soon enough, one less crazy bitch in the world, one more drink for me." He said as he laughed to himself. You rolled your eyes at his ridiculous words.
"That doesn't even make sense." You whispered as you turned around to look out the window. The sea was as calm as ever, the memories of your mother taking you to the shore as vivid as day itself.
You enjoyed the isolation and quiet for a while, but your attention soon turned to shouting coming from the main door of the guard barracks.
"Make way! I said make way! Prisoner coming through!" The guard yelled as he and a bunch of other soldiers came through holding a man rather violently as they guided him to the cell next to yours. You sat on the chair in your cell as you quietly observed them throw him on the ground in his cell. Raising your eyes in amusement, you watched as he spit at them once they shut the cell door.
"A witch and a pirate! What a perfect match." The guard joked before walking away, the other guards laughing right along with him.
"Still not a witch." You murmured as you looked down at your nails.
"Bastards." The man said as he growled, his hands tight on his cell door, trying to get it unlocked.
"You really think that's going to work?" You asked sarcastically, eyeing him as he turned around in annoyance to look at you. You immediately oooed and ahhed, sarcastically of course, at his tattoos and scars when he looked at you.
"Guess you're milking your waste of a life with the joys of narcissism before you die. What? You think you're better than me just because you've read a couple books?" He asked, his hands gripping the bars that separated you from him. You stood up and walked over to where you and him were face to face, merely inches apart.
"You steal and kill for fun, who are you to judge?" You said with a smirk on your face. He rolled his eyes and turned around, quickly turning back.
"I have a feeling you're going to be a pain in my ass." He said, his black bangs falling in his eyes as he looked down.
"Whatever gave you that idea?" You asked before sitting down in your chair, smiling ever so slightly.
<Time Skip brought to you by worldwide handsome guy>
"Wake up witch." The man that you came to know as Levi Ackerman whispered as he lightly hit your arm. You groaned and flipped him off before turning to the other side of your bed.
"(F/N), now." He said, this time louder. You groaned and sat up, immediately realizing why he was bothering you in the middle of the night.
"Next time, could you be a little bit nicer pirate? I'm a lady after all." You said in a mocking tone. Levi scoffed and stood up before holding his hand out. You walked over to where a brick in the cell was loose and took it out, revealing a lockpick you had made from scratch was concealed. You handed it to him and stood near your door, keeping watch. Your heart was beating faster than normal, the rush of deviance allowing you to have a bit of fun while stuck in a disgusting hell. You glanced back at Levi, simply remarking upon how you went from cell neighbors to partners in crime. It's incredible what a few weeks can do when two people are stuck in a dump against their will. You wouldn't say it was love. Was it? You really couldn't give a distinct definition of how Levi made you feel. He was interesting. He told you stories of the sea, and how he fought people all around the world for the sake of poverty and tragedy. The imagery that he allowed you to experience made the prison time a little more bearable. Infinite stories were shared between the two of you, your nights and days mixed together as the only thing you can recall is the sound of Levi's voice and his alluring smile. You weren't complaining.
"Yeah, I need to check on the prisoners. Save me a drink, will ya?" You heard a guard say loudly before the door to the barracks opened up. You gasped lightly and turned to Levi.
"There's a guard coming. I'll keep him distracted." You said quietly before breathing deeply.
"Okay, but remember if you make an ass of yourself I'm going to tease you for it later." He said in an almost whisper. You chuckled quietly, Levi joining in before he focused completely on the lock, his back turning towards you so the guard couldn't see what he was doing.
"Guard, can I ask you a question?" You said as you caught the guards attention. He raised his eyebrows in doubt.
"I suppose ye can." He said, the smell of booze lingering around him. You smirked and got closer.
"Do you know what they used to call me back at my hometown?" You asked, trailing a finger down his coat. He blushed slightly and shook his head. You motioned for him to get closer, knowing you already had him wrapped around your finger.
"They call me..." You trailed off your sentence as you seen Levi successfully leaving his cell, maneuvering so he was behind the guard.
"Guess you'll never know." You smiled and whispered to the guard. Before he could realize it, Levi had his hand come down on the guards neck, knocking him unconscious. You raised your eyebrows but nonetheless grabbed Levi's hand when he offered it.
"And we're off. Stay behind me (F/N), I'll protect you with my life." He said, his dark eyes holding a sincerity you had never seen before.
"Don't worry about me, I can handle myself." You retorted as you passed by him, perhaps to hide your blush from him. You knew exactly what you were going to do, like any other prisoner, you had planned your escape. Levi was a big help in it, his experience with escaping prisons coming in handy.
"Now!" You said as you pulled him in a sprint through the barracks, the guards getting up in panic as they set after you. You got out into the city and mingled with the crowd the best you could to get the guards off your trail.
"This way!" You said as you turned into an alley. It was a dead end, however, and a few people were simply sitting there drinking together, now focused on you.
"Of course." You murmured. Levi glanced around, perhaps thinking of what to do.
"Levi we need to do something or they'll start quest-" Levi cut your question short with an all of a sudden kiss. Your eyes widened as your heart rate and adrenaline increased. You couldn't even think about anything else, not the people watching nor the guards in pursuit, just Levi. You never closed your eyes for a second, only questioning Levi with your eyes as he starred straight back, his expression unreadable. The kiss was so sudden, only after the first few seconds did you truly feel his lips on yours. They were sweet and daunting at the same time, and as his hand held your head in place, you could've sworn you heard angels singing. Unable to hold in your breath any longer, you gently pushed him away, allowing you to breathe freely once again.
"Just a couple of kids in love. Get lost and find an inn to do that, ya wankers!" The old guy said. Levi breathed deeply before turning away from you.
"I understand if you only did that to create a diversion but even so doing tha-"
"No, I've genuinely wanted to kiss you that hard since the moment I met you." He replied, turning around to look at you, his expression one of honestly and a bit of bashfulness.
"Oh." You replied, unsure of what to say. Levi turned to look at the main road.
"Let's get out of here." He said before taking your soft hand in his tough one. You glanced down at his hand before smiling to yourself secretly.
"I wanted it too." You whispered to yourself.
"I know." Levi whispered back. You gasped and blushed before letting go of his hand.
"Don't eavesdrop on my soft character soliloquy!" You shouted before rushing past him, Levi quickly following with a satisfied look on his face.
