Chapter 1: Midgard

Sigrun's wings were held close to her as she walk along the snowy forest floor. Her golden wings glittered in the little sunlight that peeked between the clouds.

Eir and Gunnr followed behind her, helping guide The Children. Kara made up the rear of the group, keeping everyone together.

"Sigrun? How much farther, I'm starting to get tired..." Demier muttered from the front of the group.

"Just a bit more, little one. Just beyond this valley there is a place where we will rest and call your home..."

Eir flicked her ear as she heard the Queen speak. Eir could see the way Sigrun held herself, could see the slight twitch of her wings. She was scared, but she had put on a brave face. A brave face for them...

The Children of The Gods. The ones she and her sister were able to save before...

Before...

Before all of Asgard was destroyed. Before the Children's parents were killed, and left them all orphans.

Oh how Eir's heart hurt at the thought. They all had lost so much... Thor, Tyr, Baldur...

Their sister and old Valkyrie Queen, Queen Freya...

Gunnr came over to her, her pelt fresh with wounds, the scent of blood still on her.

Gunnr gently rested her wing on Eir's back, looking into the other's eyes. A gentle look Eir found herself with, one of empathy and understanding. While Gunnr was more stoic and wasn't shy of showing her strength, she knew when her sister's needed her kindness and company.

"We'll be alright, Eir, we'll make Queen Frigg proud of us," Gunnr whispered to her gently, her voice hoarse but still somehow soft.

Yes... yes, they'll make Queen Freya proud of them. They will make all of the Gods proud.

The pack has been escorted by the Valkyries to Midgard, here they will be free to hunt, train, and will be looked after. The Valkyries will stay until they need to look for answers again.

Gunnr has started to offer Battle and Hunting training!

Eir has started to offer Healing and Foraging training!

Sigrun has left Midgard, presumably to find the other Valkyries...

Kara has offered to help others build sheltered, with her help, only one cat is needed to build structures now!

The Valkyries have brought with them 20 prey, 20 sticks, and 5 herbs to give The Children of The Gods!

Kara and Eir are staying for 2 extra moons to help the Children get settled in. Gunnr will stay behind to watch over the pack until her sisters come back.
