Frost world

As they walked toward the entrance of the snow park, Samaira couldn’t stop shivering from the biting cold. She pulled her arms tighter around her, realizing in the process that she had forgotten her jacket in the car.

“I should have worn my jacket,” she muttered, her breath forming little clouds in the frigid air.

Advait noticed immediately, his sharp eyes catching the way she tried to rub warmth into her arms. Without a word, he shrugged off his coat and draped it over her shoulders.

“Here,” he said, his voice low and calm. “You’ll freeze out here.”

Samaira opened her mouth to protest, but he cut her off. “Save your energy for inside. It’s colder out here than in.”

She blinked in surprise at his gentle gesture but didn’t say anything more. Instead, she adjusted the coat around her shoulders, its warmth seeping into her skin. They walked side by side toward the entrance of the park, Samaira feeling a strange mix of emotions.

As they stepped through the entrance, the cold air hit them again, but this time, Samaira felt more at ease, enveloped in the warmth of Advait’s coat. They both paused for a moment, taking in the sight of the snow-covered park before them. Snowflakes drifted lazily from the sky, creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere.

Advait turned to her with a teasing glint in his eyes. “Still think this is a good idea?”

Samaira grinned, her cheeks rosy from the cold. “Definitely. Let’s go.”

They stepped deeper into the snow park, the crunch of their boots against the powdery snow breaking the silence. The park was as enchanting as she remembered, filled with snow slides, snowmen, and cozy spots to grab a hot drink. Samaira felt the excitement building inside her, despite the cold.

They spent hours exploring, laughing, and enjoying the simple joy of being outside in the winter wonderland. Samaira threw snowballs at Advait, who retaliated with an expertly aimed hit.

“Got you!” Advait laughed, dodging a snowball Samaira had thrown his way.

She smirked. “You’re fast. But I’ll get you next time.”

Advait raised an eyebrow. “Is that a challenge?”

She winked at him. “Maybe.”

They slid down snow slides, with Samaira squealing in delight each time they made it to the bottom. It was carefree, it was fun, and for once, Samaira felt like she could forget the world they lived in—just for a moment.

Later, as they headed back to the car, Samaira’s earlier shivers returned. She stopped and turned to Advait, a playful smile tugging at her lips.

“I’ll drive today,” she said, her voice filled with mischief. “Hand over the keys.”

Advait raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “What’s going on with you today? Are you sure you didn’t hurt yourself somewhere?”

Samaira chuckled, but her expression remained determined. “I’m fine. Just hand me the keys. There’s another surprise.”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “You’re full of surprises today, aren’t you?” He handed over the keys, still skeptical but curious about what was to come.

Samaira slid into the driver’s seat, starting the car and pulling out of the snow park. She navigated the streets with practiced ease, humming softly to herself. Advait didn’t press her for answers, though he couldn’t help but wonder what she had planned.

A short while later, they pulled into the parking lot of a charming restaurant by a serene lake. Advait recognized it immediately—the place where he had come to unwind many times before. The warm glow from inside the restaurant seemed to call them in.

“You remembered,” Advait said, his voice softer than before.

Samaira smiled, her eyes lighting up. “Of course I did. I thought it would be a good place to end the day.”

They entered the restaurant and were quickly seated at a cozy table near a large window. The view of the lake, now frozen over with the faintest layer of snow, was breathtaking. The dim lighting inside created the perfect ambiance, setting the stage for a quiet, peaceful meal.

Advait stared out at the lake for a moment, lost in thought, before glancing back at Samaira. “I never thought I’d end up here with you,” he said quietly.

She smiled softly, her voice thoughtful. “Life has a funny way of surprising us, doesn’t it?”

As they settled into their seats, Advait couldn’t help but look at Samaira with a sense of surprise. She hadn’t only planned the snow park outing, but she had remembered his favorite restaurant too. It was a side of her he hadn’t fully understood before, and it made him wonder just how much more he didn’t know about her.

“This is nice,” he said after a moment, taking a sip of his drink. “I didn’t expect to enjoy today as much as I did.”

Samaira smiled, reaching for her menu. “Sometimes, all it takes is a change of scenery. A little break from the chaos.”

As they ordered their meal, Samaira was pleased to see Advait’s approving nod at the food. It was clear that she had chosen well. The evening unfolded slowly, with the two of them enjoying each other’s company in a way that felt almost natural.

“Thank you,” Advait said quietly, his voice sincere. “For today. For everything.”

Samaira looked at him, a gentle smile tugging at her lips. “It’s nothing. Just a small gesture.”

The rest of the evening passed in comfortable silence, with only the soft clink of cutlery and the occasional murmur of conversation filling the space between them. Neither of them seemed in a hurry to leave, content to linger a little longer in the warmth of the restaurant, and in each other’s company.

“You know,” Advait said as they finished their meals, his voice low but thoughtful, “this was a nice change. I never really get moments like this.”

Samaira’s smile softened, her eyes meeting his across the table. “I think we all need moments like this. Even you.And ya remember it's just for one day, don't take it any other way"

The Advait chuckled lightly and said "Noted".

He met her gaze and, for a brief moment, he let himself relax, feeling something he hadn’t in a long time—peace.
