Chapter 24: Things I'm sure about

Tonya POV

SMUT warning in the chapter

"There were not so many of them, but they clearly knew when they were going. I think someone has to guide them into our land." Kathy finishes speaking. The only problem is that all the rogues in question are dead. They fought so vigorously that my Beta had no choice but to kill them.

I continue tapping with my fingers. Everything seems normal, at least on the surface. I glance at Sam and The Trio, and of course, Tyler gives me a stern look.

"I spoke with James today. He admitted that the rogues have been bothering us too many times for the last two weeks as if they have been details about the pack. And we all know there is no way it is hunters doing," Tyler says, and I glare at him.

"But you suggest it's my mates doing," I say coldly.

"I'm sorry, Tonya, but think about it. They came to our land; they admitted that they had run here because Noah thought we would show compassion because of Charlie's status. What if that was a plan? Black Moon is known for not killing rogues."

That is actually true. I must admit it. The protocols for rogues are straightforward: quick interrogation and chasing them away, sometimes the possibility to stay, but not very often, as we are not eager to trust.

"What if that was their plan, to come here, pry on our mercy, infiltrate the pack, and next, let rogues in? Noah has spent so much time alone in the woods that he could have contacted them," Tyler finishes, and my fists clench.

"I'm sorry, Alpha, but I must agree that what Tyler says has lots of logic. Russell might have told the truth that he heard them conspiring," says Sam, and my fist clenches tighter "Maybe Noah lured Kathy to them to get rid of witnesses because now, when he is mated to you, he decided to betray them."

"I doubt it," says Kathy. "They were close to the fourth territory, which loyalty is still in question. Some who decided to leave after the merge could give the rogues the details. I'll speak with Gamma Nelson and ask him to tighten the security. I was in this fight; I'm sure Noah didn't know any of them."

"But still the probability..." Tyler starts, but I growl.

"My mates are MY business." I hope he will just shut up, but he doesn't intend to. Truth be told, none in my family has ever restrained himself from being bluntly honest.

"We know nothing about them, only that they showed up out of nowhere, one of them being conveniently pregnant. I spoke with rogues who had chased after them here, and all of them said that they had killed their companion! Tonya, you don't understand that you are one of the most desired people in this country. Mating with you will bring both of them anything they could want! You know nothing about their past! They may not be lying, but both keep avoiding answering most of the questions and..."

Tyler stops because I shove him into the wall. Troy, Travis, and Sam jump in their places, but Kathy keeps her cool.

I squeeze my fingers around my cousin's neck. It's not Silver, although she is close; it's me. I want to make him bleed for badmouthing them, for suggesting that they are not good enough. Deadly silence enters the room.

"Kathy, you will go to the fourth territory tomorrow to speak with Nelson. I want to know his opinion, and I want tracker teams to double-check the borders, all of them."

I let Tyler go; he pants hard, trying to compose himself.

"Tyler, THEY ARE MINE. I will deal with them. But if you think that mating bond has made me blind, especially for my pack's needs, then we have a problem."

Hurt flashes in his eyes; I think it's the first time we feel so unhappy and disappointed with each other. I nod for them to leave, but only Kathy stays.

"Why don't you just ask Rosie to "steal" their memories, and we would have all the answers we need?" she asks, and I sigh.

"I want their trust; I want them to be honest with me without forcing them. And there is a difference between asking questions and actually invading their privacy. And I don't want to drag Rosie more into this. But I want this, Kathy. I have known them for just a month, but I have never wanted anything that much. And to make it work, we need trust in each other, not full knowledge about our past, " I say slowly.

"Well, in that case, I will call our favorite restaurant and make the reservation for tomorrow. Rosie and my mother are right, and you should go on a date."

She leaves me alone and sits motionless, tapping my fingers on my desk. What do I know about them? Charlie is timid; he likes reading and playing piano, he has a soft spot for kids, and last time, he made a lot of mess in the kitchen when he and Rosie were preparing dinner. He often hums to himself and had a painful childhood. He was hurt that his wolf had locked himself in his mind so deep that he couldn't shift anymore.

Noah is cocky, he poses for a bad boy who cares about nothing, but I know it's just a façade. He is scared of trusting me; he hates depending on somebody. He lies to me, but I'm sure he is doing it because he is ashamed of something. He trains diligently; he isn't scared of throwing a punch. He likes long runs in the woods, Pearl thinks he is funny, and she likes talking with him. He rejected Charlie, but I see in his eyes that he greatly regrets it. He states he doesn't care, yet he protected him from rogues and Russel. He thinks I'm too full of myself and isn't happy with my high rank. Linus wants to be honest with and submit to me, but Noah is still so wary, so he doesn't dare to. After all, the human is always first for the wolf.

I walk slowly to the kitchen, where I see Carson and Noah talking, to my utmost surprise.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Apparently, Noah's mother had a great recipe tea perfect for morning sickness," Carson says, and I raise my brows, looking at my mate.

"Charlie keeps puking a lot and will soon start more. I thought it could help him, but I first consulted with the doctor, and he says it's a good idea."

"Will you show me how to do it?"

He smiles, and we go into the greenhouse, where he tells me about herbs and explains how his mother's recipe works. And yet...

"Will you tell me why you were angry with Charlie being your mate?" I ask suddenly, and he stops whatever he is doing, and his face sinks.

"I heard when he talked with you about his father. His father was conspiring with hunters, and they attacked the pack. They locked many wolves in the constructive site we had on the edge of the pack territory and burned it down. My parents were among them," he says slowly, and I feel he doesn't lie.

"I have never tried punishing him for it, but accepting him as a mate was a different story." He finishes.

I come closer, wrap my arms around his waist, and rest my cheek on his back, I want to tell something more, but suddenly, a strong feeling of warmness assaults me. I feel the fire inside my body.

"What's that?" Noah asks, surprised, and I realize he felt that too.

"I think our little mate needs attention. After all, he is pregnant, and pregnant omegas are hungry for sex." I giggle as his eyes shift.

In a matter of seconds, we were both in my bedroom facing our third mate, who looks at us, blushed, and highly embarrassed. He is undressed, and his cheeks are very red... Of course, he was touching himself.

"I... I..." he starts, but I get closer and gently kiss his lips.

"It's okay, Charlie, we know what you need, and we will give that to you," I say, taking off my clothes, staying only in my underwear. It's good that Charlie is already naked.

"I will do it!" Noah says, undressing himself, and I nod and sit behind Charlie. I let him lie on my chest with his head between my breasts, and I start caressing his arms and torso with my hands.

Noah smirks seductively, and Charlie looks a bit panicked but doesn't protest when Noah leans closer, separating his legs, and wastes no time taking Charlie into his mouth. He moves his head fast, and Charlie starts wriggling and moaning. At the same time, I pinch his nipples with my fingers; I don't dare to use my mouth. I would be too close with my teeth to his neck, and watching them like that makes me go crazy. My control may snap.

Noah is sucking Charlie, but his eyes are locked with mine, and I must say they look very sexy like that. Charlie pants hard, pressing himself more into my body, and I love it. I love him caged between my thighs, as he wriggles a lot,  and since he is between my legs, he gives my core a lot of stimulation. He cums very quickly, and I feel a bit disappointed that it's over. But Noah smiles mischievously and starts kissing his way up Charlie's stomach and chest at the same time, reaching his fingers into my direction, and I suck, knowing perfectly well what he intends to do.

The next moment, Charlie's legs are up as Noah pushes his wet fingers into his entrance. At the same time, his lips are on mine, and we kiss like crazy. Each of us wants to dominate the kiss, and our tongues fight eagerly. One of my hands holds Noah's neck as we nudge against Charlie's body caged between us, and he moans in ecstasy.

Silver doesn't push to the front; she looks pretty content with this treat from our mates. Honestly, I think Noah has more problems with controlling Linus. But I feel another presence, and by the corner of my eye, I notice Charlie's eyes shifting from time to time, meaning that I was right and his wolf has slowly started returning to him.

What I thought would be a quick relief for my pregnant mate turns into a very long chain of activities when Noah and I are almost competing with each other about who will give Charlie more satisfaction as he blindly submits to everything we do. Yet, I don't smell any fear from him... finally. We focus mainly on him; probably that's why we can keep control of our wolves and manage not to end up marked after we are done.

Completely spent, we lie in our bed, still covered in sweat and panting hard as Charlie sleeps exhausted between us. I lost count of how many times we made him cum. Neither Noah nor I have any strength to clean ourselves and the bed; the satisfaction is so good.

"I'll take both of you for a date tomorrow," I whisper, and Noah looks surprised. "You deserve to be treated like gentlemen, not a random one-night stand."

"Kathy told me about Curtis today," he says, and I sigh. No matter how much time has passed, it is still excruciating.

"Her father was Beta of my pack. All my life, I was treating him as my family. He taught me so much, and that son of the bitch killed him in front of me," I whisper, and Noah reaches his hand and starts caressing my hair.

"I'm sorry you must go through it," he says.

"Silver took over that night, she lost it, and we killed many who were in the packhouse on the fourth territory that night. To make myself feel better, I try to think that all of them were a part of this conspiracy, but I don't know. Among those I killed could be those who followed the orders, who were forced to take part, and those who knew nothing, but I killed them all."

I don't look at him, I don't dare to. It's only half the truth, but it's enough for him to see me as a monster.

"That wasn't your fault; you protected yourself, and nothing else matters."
