Kyla POV:

I walked quietly, hand in hand with Neji through the Hyuga compound, I was to have a meeting with his uncle Hiashi Hyuga, and I was nervous, I've never done this before I just hope it goes well. I glanced at Neji, his hair was flying behind us yet also in front of his face, it was almost majestic. I smiled at him from the side and he squeezed my hand in return, I sighed looking at the compound, it's very white, signature of their clan of course, it's all very strict though, there is no signs of a rule being broken here, not even a speck of litter on the street, it was as though everybody in this clan was a computer program, who can't do anything that isn't expected of them, I guess that's a result of their curse mark.

I sat on a cushion, with Neji beside me, we were sat at a low, Japanese style oak table, Hiashi Hyuga sat opposite us, Neji was granted permission to be here by his uncle, or more accurately, he was asked to be here, unusual for a branch member, so their must be an ulterior motive, perhaps, using our relationship against us. 

"Sir, as you know, I'm rebuilding the Uchiha compound" I began as he raised his hand up as if to silence me, and knowing I'm in his home, my voice stopped and I prepared myself for whatever he had to say to me.

"I am very aware of that, you have a grave being rebuilt, my question is why?" I sighed and looked at my hands that were placed on my lap momentarily before returning my eyes to his. "I'm not Itachi, Nor am I Sasuke, I am loyal to this village one hundred percent, and I know many are weary of that but that is true, my compound is to be rebuilt as, well, a safe haven, if you will, we're placed on the edge of the village, unusual for a founding clan, however for my needs this is perfect, whats safer than away from central chaos? Orphans, homeless, poor, and anybody else in need, I want them to be able to have a place in the compound, the rent will be cheaper to help them get back on their feet, shops there will help tend to their needs and we'll open up a school of sorts there, with two sections, civilian and ninja, so anyone who missed the chance to get their qualifications or perhaps were unable will have that opportunity reopened to them again" I explained smiling at him.

"Those are quite amazing ideals you have there Miss Uchiha, but aren't you a little on the young side to be managing those kind of things?" He asked me with a raised eyebrow, I knew when I started to rebuild that this would be everybody's main issue with me.

"The fourth Kazakage who just took the position is younger than me, he's running a village, I'm running a compound, I understand your concern with my lack of experience, but I wont be doing this alone, I have hopes several clans will help me to oversee this, yours being one of them" I explained as respectfully as possible and Neji's hand took mine under the table, giving mine a light squeeze, he was trying to tell me I was doing well. 

"What exactly do you want from they Hyuga's in this project of yours Miss Uchiha? I am more than willing to help, I just wish to know what exactly I'm helping with" he said as he wrote something down. 

"I wish for your clan to help with the rebuilding process, after all, with your eyes you can see the weakness in structures and hopefully some will teach in the school, I also wish to form an alliance with your clan, any ninja in our compound will be an ally of yours as well, of course I can't give you a number of ninja at the moment, as I wont know how many that will be until the time comes" I explained, hoping the alliance will be enough.

"That sounds perfectly reasonable, except one thing, your betrothal to Neji, as you're aware, without your clan that no longer exists, I want to reinstate it, in exchange, the Hyuga will be there for your every need" He explained and my eyes widened in shock before I turned to look at my lover.

"If you don't mind Sir, I'd like to discuss this with Neji for a moment" I said knowing this isn't fair to decide without him.

"Take your time" he said with a small smile on his face as Neji and I left the room, sliding the door closed and turning towards him.

"Did you know it wasn't required of us anymore?" I asked quietly wondering how I didn't know myself, I mean of course I've questioned it but I didn't actually know for sure.

"I wasn't informed, I just assumed it was still set in stone" he muttered almost like it was to himself and not to me. "Well what do you think about it?" I asked quietly, I didn't mind personally, but I really wanted to help these people and the Hyuga's can help me with that.

Neji moved closer to me and placed his hands on my cheeks in a gentle manner that made me look at him "Kyla, I love you, I really do, more than anything, I want to marry you one day, so if they betroth us I don't care, they're just making our love fate are they not?" 

I nodded my head slightly before connecting my lips to his and kissing him passionately feeling the fireworks explode inside of my stomach and on my lips. "I love you too, but I need you to be sure about this, because once I sign that contract, there's no going back" I told him as I rest my forehead against his, although it was more our forehead protectors. "I'm sure" he replied with and kissed my cheek lightly before we headed back into the room. 

"We've decided we will go through with it" I said and squeezed Neji's hand lightly and his uncle nodded before saying "I'm happy to hear that, I'm even happier to see you discussed it as oppose to a dictator move like your father, deciding for everybody, I believe I can trust you and your cause Miss Uchiha" he explained before he slid a scroll over to me that required my signature to seal the deal, and I picked up a quill which decorated the bottom with my name Kyla Uchiha before I passed it to Neji to sign his own and moments later his own name was also there, Neji Hyuga.

The rest of the week went just as well, clan after clan signed treaty's with me and I couldn't help but be over joyed at these event, my dream will become a reality. The Nara's are my favourite asset, they will be absolutely perfect in the education sector.
