~(Y/n)'s pov.~

I've been staying with the star sans'es for awhile now. They've been wonderful to me the whole time I've stayed. This morning I want to make it up to them. Especially dream, seeing as he was the kindest to me and was always there to help me. Speaking of dream i hear his voice call to me from downstairs,"(Y/n)! me and the others are going on a mission! we'll be back soon!" he called.

'Perfect, now I can do something for them while their away.' "Ok dream! be safe! " I called back. Not even a minute later I heard the door open then close. "what should I do for them? clean? no they might not like it if I go into their rooms without asking first. OH! I got it! I should cook them something." I thought out loud. I make my way out of my room and into the kitchen. i think to myself for a moment trying to decide what to make until i get an idea. I start getting out the supplies to make some beef curry with little panda rice balls on the side. Once I have all the items out I start on the gravy part of the curry while the rice I have out boils.

After I set the rice to boil I went to grab a knife to cut the beef and realized that I couldn't find one. 'where could it be?' I thought as I looked around the kitchen for one. Then I remembered; we had put them way so the baby-bones wouldn't hurt themselves when they came over! 'How could I forget that? I was the one who put them on top of the fridge!' I mentally scolded myself. I went over to the fridge where I put them. I went to go get a stool so I could reach the top, but I couldn't find it. I silently cursed as I attempted to grab one of the knifes with a makeshift stool that I made out of a few boxes.

As soon as I was able to grab one of the knives, I felt the boxes I was on give out from underneath me. It was like I was falling in slow motion as I watched all the knives fall from the top of the fridge towards me.

~dream's pov.~
(Before you fell)

Me, ink, and blue, had gotten a call from core!frisk that nightmare was out causing chaos again. "ɕσʍʍση δɾεαʍ! ϖε հαѵε ϯσ ςϯσԹ ηίɡհϯʍαɾε!" Ink called to me from outside. "ʏᴇs!ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ʜᴜʀʀʏ ғʀᴇɪɴᴅ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ!" Blue said aswell. "Ok! I just have to tell (Y/N) where we're going!" I called back. "σƘ! յմςϯ հմɾɾψ!" I went to the bottom of the stairs and called up so she could hear me, "(Y/n)! Me and the others are going on a mission! We'll be back soon!" As I walked back to the front door, I could faintly hear (Y/n) call back "Ok dream! Be safe!" And with that, I closed the door and we set off to stop my brother once again.

~(Small timskip)~

I was starting to get worried about (N/n). We had been gone for a bit and I was worried about how she was doing. Ever since she had started staying with us I had slowly started to gain feelings for her. She was so sweet and kind. "Uhm ink, blue, I'm going to go check up on (Y/n)." I said turning to the two. "ᴏғ ᴄᴏᴜʀsᴇ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ! ᴍᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ғʀɪᴇɴᴅ ɪɴᴋ sʜᴀʟʟ ғɪɴɪsʜ ᴜᴘ ʜᴇʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇɴ ʙᴇ ᴏɴ ᴏᴜʀ ᴡᴀʏ!" Blue said with enthusiasm. With that I opened a portal to the house and stepped through.

I opened the door to see the house looking the same. "(Y/n)? I'm home!" I called. Suddenly I heard noises from the kitchen. Being curious I walked into the kitchen doorway. Once I stepped through I saw (y/n)'s back to me while she was reaching for something on top of the fridge. Suddenly the boxes she was on gave out underneath her and she started to fall. The knifes she was reaching for following soon after.

Thinking quick I used some magic to catch the knifes while I ran and caught (Y/n). Once she was safely in my arms I used my magic to put the fallen knifes back in place. "(N/n)! Are you alright??" I asked worried for her. She looked up at me and smiled, seemingly unfazed by what had just happened. "Oh, hi dream! I didn't know you would be home early!" She said. Exasperated I reapplied," (n/n)! What where you thinking? You almost just got stabbed because of your carelessness!" I cried.

She huffed and wiggled her way out of my arms, and put a hand on her hip. " well soorrry for trying to make you food mr. grump." That was when I realized she was in an apron and that there was food and supplies around us. "..." I was silent. (Y/n) giggled and waved me off while turning back to the food she was making. "Wait.. what are you even making..?" I asked, shaking off my silence. pure curiosity running through me at what she was making. "I'm making curry and rice, wanna help?" She replied as she cut up some of the beef. I felt my eye-lights turn into stars as I gladly skipped over to wash my hands so I could join her.
