"Heh.... I tried not to die this time... I guess i failed. At least i got to see you guys one last time eh?" Cassie coughed up blood amongst her laughter. "I guess I'll never see you two end up going on dates and getting married or anything." She laughed again. "Man. How life can fly by. Wonder how I'll do next time...." She winced in pain. "God this..." She winced again, clutching at the edges of the spear wound. "Hurts... A lot... But... Man... Gotta hope that the right song comes on in time.... See you guys.... Later. Heh...." Her body fell limp. I was actually admiring how she died. She died with such courage. Wow.
"No. No no no no...." Stacy pulled Cassie off the spear and shook her, tears falling onto Cassie's fresh corpse. "Tell me this is a joke! Like what Josh did! Jesus fucking christ...." I had no idea how to react so i just stood there, watching as Stacy fell to the floor, clutching Cassie's limp corpse. Stacy looked back at me. "Go find whoever or whatever did this. I'll stay here and make sure the body doesn't disappear."
"But what if you die?"
"I don't care. I feel like its my duty to make sure she doesn't get taken." Stacy looked so.... Forlorn but.... Angered. I didn't want to get on her bad side.
"O-okay.... But... Be careful...." I looked at her again before darting off. I saw a figure at the end of the corridor. "Hey who are you?!" I yelled. It looked at me with it's neon green eyes.
"Another one...." He growled. I could tell by the voice it was a guy. He loaded what appeared to be a spear launcher or something. He stepped forward and he was drenched in blood, hair and everything.
"That blood.... So it was you... You killed Cassie...." I guessed.
"Yeah. I did. Not hard to figure out. But this isn't Cassie's blood. Its elk blood." He aimed the speargun at me. "Oh and by the way, the names Dianite. My parents were team Dianite... You ever watched Mianite?"
"Yeah." I had watched all 2 seasons about 10 times, praying each episode for a season 3.
"I had a brother named Mianite and my sister was Ianite." Dianite said. "I ran off and decided kill things for a living. I'm an animal hitman. I kill animals, people give me money. Occasionally I'm asked to kill a human. But this time she just got in my way. Enough of the backstory though." He pulled the trigger and i dropped to the floor, and despite my shock i crawled forward. Dianite made a noise of frustration and aimed at the ground. I rolled out the way, got up, and ran forward, superhero style. I punched him in the face before he had time to react and kill me. He fell to the floor unconscious. To make sure he really was out cold i took his speargun and whacked him over the head with it. He didn't move. I dragged him back to Stacy.
"Found him." I said. Stacy looked at him. She took a rope out of the bag she carries with her all the time (yeah she carries a bag with her. Probably messed up your interpretation of her. Sorry) She tied his hands to the spear. She didn't speak at all. Even when he woke up she didn't speak. She spoke through a song on Cassie's phone. It was a Set It Off song. I had no idea Cassie listened to Set It Off. If I'd have know I'd've (is that a word at all???) talked to her more in the few hours i knew her. It's called Horrible Kids. Stacy skipped the first few lines though. She made it so all 5/6 songs played over and over, and left Dianite there to rot listening to Set It Off. It actually sounds like a nice way to go. I looked back at Dianite before we left and he actually looked like he was enjoying himself. He was singing to himself. I dashed back and put a different song on. Something that would make him suffer for the next few days as he slowly died down there. I picked up Cassie's body and took it with me. It would be nice to bury it outside the lodge.
"You're nothing more than a temptress!" Dianite sang/yelled after me. "I fell victim to a heartless snare!"
"Woooowww. Way to make me glad I'm making you listen to that. I actually quite enjoy it. I could've been nice and made you listen to JB. But I didn't."
"Nice?! That would be better than sile-" The song started up. Can't trust YouTube videos to start immediately anymore apparently. He looked at me like he was getting his heart wrenched out. "Not this.... Anything but this!" Dianite yelled after me. I ignored him and ran after Stacy. "ANYTHING! NOT THIS! YOU FUCKER!" I stopped and looked at him.
"Baa baa black sheep have you any soul?" I said with the most serious face i could muster at the time. He had no response to it. "Fee fi fo fum, better run and hide, i smell the blood of a petty little coward."
"Jack be lethal, Jack be slick, Jill will leave you lonely dying in a filthy ditch!"
"Okay musical over now." I walked over to Stacy.
"So could you, tell me how you're sleeping easy, how you're only thinking of yourself? Show me how you justify, telling all your lies like second nature, listen, mark my words, one day you will pay, karma's gonna come collect your debt!" Dianite yelled after me. I didn't respond. Musical over. I was still holding Cassie. Her body had gone ice cold. We headed back to the lodge. It was on fire. It seemed everyone had made it out safely. Jessica ran over to us.
"She's dead isn't she?" Jessica guessed. Stacy nodded. "Is it weird I'm not crying?"
"Completely normal." I said, while at the same time Stacy said no. We looked at eachother.
"Are you saying if i died here and now you wouldn't cry?!" Stacy yelled.
"I might do! The only times I've ever cried though are when fictional characters die! And i get severely hurt!"
"Whatever." Stacy walked off.
"Well shit......" I muttered.
"Hey Lizzie! It is Lizzie right?" 'Ash' asked.
"Uh yeah."
"You seem rather unhappy."
"Probably because i am." I sighed. She hugged me to comfort me. I wasn't used to being hugged but i tried to stay calm. I knew it was a normal human thing. But yeah. That's how out adventure ended. Stacy hasn't talked to me for years. I think she's still grieving over Cassie. I buried her outside the lodge. And i guess that's the end of it. So yeah. No idea how to end this so I'll just be going now.
