2 years later.

A loud wail woke up the lady who was in deep sleep. The lady jerkingly opens her eyes and shifted her gaze next to her.. she rubbing her sleepy eyes raising her hands scopes the baby up. She scooping the baby got down the bed and rocked the baby in her arms..

The lady patted the baby head and walked around the room rocking the baby in her arms.. her eyes fell on the clock which showed 12 am in the morning. She sighed and gave all the attention to baby who starts wailing again..

The lady patted the baby face.

Lady : shhhss.. bacha.. stop crying..

The lady sighed and rocking the baby moves to balcony of the room after wrapping shawl around the baby.. she then starts rocking baby in the balcony.. the lady smiles looking down soon as the baby slept again in her arms...

She walks back to room and laid baby on the bed and laid herself down beside the baby. She softly caressed the baby face.. she kissed the baby cheek then looks at another baby of hers who was sleeping peacefully.. she smiles and kissed another baby cheek..

She laid back on bed and closing her eyes slept again.

The lady flicks her eyes open again hearing the loud wailed of her baby who was adamant not to let her mother sleep today. The lady sighing her head and cursing her husband woke up again and scooped the baby in her arms again.

She got down the bed with baby in her arms.. she starts rocking the baby and tried calming the baby down.. she walks around the room whispering words and making funny face but the baby didn't wish to stop wailing.

The lady didn't knew what to do to stop the baby cry..

Lady : bacha.. shsss..stop crying.. see you're my good girl na.. stop crying.. my baby..

Suddenly the door flung opens. The lady turns around with baby who immediately stopped crying as baby eyes fell on the person who opened the door.. the lady smiled and sighed seeing the person front of her.

The person walks in and saw them.

Person : love, why are you still up? Shouldn't you be sleeping? Didn't I tell you not stay awake till late night..

Neil didn't notice baby in Avni's lady as he was staring avni whereas avni muttered some curses for him and angrily stares him making him confuse.

Neil looks at avni then the baby who starts making sounds seeing Neil.. his smile got wider seeing his princess.. he kept his things on the bed and was going to pick her up when avni stops him.

Avni: Neil first go and fresh up then you can touch baby.. go..

Neil : but.. my princess..

Avni: Neil..

Neil stomping his foot and giving sorry look to baby went to fresh up.. meanwhile avni sighed seeing her baby drama. She walks to bed and sat on the bed with baby in her lap. She starts playing with baby..

Avni : naughty girl.. you tried disturbing mamma's sleep because you couldn't sleep without seeing your papa..very bad..

The baby only smiles widely hearing Neil's name.. avni kissed the cheek and looks beside where her another  baby was sleeping sucking thumb in mouth..

Avni : look at your brother.. how peaceful he is sleeping.. and you.

At the same time Neil comes out of washroom after freshening up. He walks to bed and sat opposite avni.. he looks at avni and the baby who was wriggling in Avni's lap seeing Neil.. avni chuckling her behaviour carefully gave the baby to Neil who scooped her in his arms.

Neil starts showing the baby girl Witt kisses all over her face making avni smile.. the baby smiled seeing her papa.

Neil : I missed you so much princess.. my baby..

He kissed the baby cheek and her small finger in his hand. He then kissed Avni's forehead and looks at her.

Neil : why isn't she sleep yet?

Avni: why don't you ask your daughter? Ask why didn't she sleep?

Neil : my baby.. why didn't you sleep like your brother?

The baby only stared Neil's face making him gobble her the way she was staring him with her eyes wide open.

Neil :love why don't you tell me? Why is my princess is still awake?

Avni: Neil don't even ask.. it's everyday routine for your princess to disturb my sleep and cry till she sees you. She wants to you before sleeping.. she woke up twice since I have put her to sleep.. even my son doesn't trouble me much as your daughter does..

Avni then starts complaining Neil about his princess.. whereas the baby pouts looking at Neil as he wasn't giving attention to her...

Neil : love why do you always complain about my princess.. and look at your son who didn't even bother to miss his papa.. at least my daughter loves me. She waits for me.

Avni : really Neil Khanna? Only your daughter  loves you?

Neil bits his lips and looks at his princess who was staring him without blinking her eyes. Neil pinches her soft cheeks.

Neil : love don't be jealous of our baby..

Avni : Neil khanna you better admit yourself that you're jealous because of my son.

Neil : love are we going to fight middle of night. Let's not fight over our baby because they are most beloved child of ours.

Avni : sorry.. I don't know why I reacted like that. I'm sorry Neil.. I should have supported you but here ... I..

Neil kept his finger on her lips and smiles lightly.

Neil : love, I can understand what you're going through. It's not completely your fault. Since your delivery I haven't given any of you times.. I have always been busy with work..I didn't priories my family above my career.. I'm sorry.. I have been working late night..

Avni : Neil it's not your fault either.. you're bound to work because I'm not there to handle. You're not only working your part but also mine.. I can understand department giving you loads of work Neil.

Neil : I know love, you're not there.. and I don't want to join any sooner.. I enough to work for us.. once our children is around 1 then I won't mind you joining back but now my answer is always no. I hope you're getting what I mean.

Avni : off course i do Neil... tomorrow we have to visit khanna mansion.. will you be free?

Neil : yes.. I have taken whole day off.. I'll join you three.

Avni: look at this naughty child of yours.. she didn't sleep in my arms but in yours..

Neil looks down and saw his princess sleeping holding his fingers. Neil smiles widely and bending down kissed her cheek..

Neil then laid his princess beside his son. He looks at his son then at avni who adore them.

Neil : he is exactly like you love.. my son will be his mamma boy.

Avni grins hearing him.

Avni: definitely he will be mamma boy.

Neil kissed his son cheek and covered both of his children with soft duvet. He then looks at avni forwarding his hand to her who placed her palm in his and got up.

They moved to balcony and sat on the small couch which was arranged in the balcony.. they were side hugging each other. Neil entwined their hands and cold air passed their body.

Neil : I missed you so much love.. sitting beside you.. whenever I return from work you would rather be sleeping or handling them..

Avni snuggles to his chest and looks at him with smile.

Avni : more than you missed me.. I missed you Neil.. handling them is not easy. They always crave for you Neil.. especially your princess.. she wants you only.. she cranky when she doesn't find you around her. Neil take few months off..

Neil : I wish I could love.. it's not in my hand to take holiday. I tried my best managing family and work but somewhere I'm failing it. I can't manage them like you would do it.. I haven't give my time to my family at all.

Avni: Neil.. leave all this.. tell what have you thought about shifting back to khanna mansion few months.

Neil : love.. I haven't thought anything but I know what is best for you and our children.. they deserve to be cared and love. I don't want to fail giving them love which they totally deserve. And about shifting khanna mansion then I have spoke to dad.. they are very happy knowing the news. I can't risk it with you or children in my absence. It's better three of you to live in khanna mansion. We are going to shift back to khanna mansion by end of this week.

Avni : they deserve it Neil.. and you will never fail them Neil. Stop thinking like that. You are there to protect them.

Neil smiles at her and pecks her forehead.

Neil : wanna have coffee?

Avni : it's too late Neil.

Neil : having coffee can never be late love.. wanna have coffee or not?

Avni:  I'll go and make it.

Neil : as you wish.. be quick.

Avni nodded her head went downstairs whereas Neil moves back to the room. He thought to see his life.. he sat on the bed beside his son. Neil smiles as his son was sleeping with smile adoring on his face.. Neil bending down kissed his cheek then held his small fingers making the baby boy stir in sleep.. Neil carefully patted his stomach.

Neil got down the bed and walks to balcony as he saw avni coming with two cup of coffee..

They both settled back in the balcony side hugging each other.. avni passed a cup to Neil who thanking her starts sipping his coffee.

Both of them in silence drank their coffee. Once they are done, they kept the cup side and Neil leaning back to wall picks avni up and made her sit on his lap turning her face towards him.. he then smiles and pecks her forehead.

Neil : I missed us love..

Avni : should we cherish our moments then Neil khanna?

Neil : wow you just took my words but I think it's bad idea.

Avni frowned and rubs his beard.

Avni : why is that so Neil khanna?

Neil: they are sleeping love..we can't wake them up.. maybe next time..

Avni: such good father you're Neil..

Neil: I'll take that as complainant..

Avni slapping his shoulder climbs down his lap and holding his hand dragged him to the room.

Neil : love why are you pulling me inside?

Avni: Neil.. I'm sleepy.. let's Sleep.

Neil saw the time then shook his head. He cups her face.

Neil : sorry love.. I didn't realise the time.. come and sleep.

They both coming to bed laid down either side.. they looks at the children who was sleeping in the middle. Neil bending over them pecks Avni's forehead.

Neil : goodnight love.. sleep tight.

Avni: goodnight Neil..

They closing their eyes slept pulling duvet over them.

In the morning avni woke up hearing wailing of her sons.. she looks at him before scooping him her arms.. she smiles as he stopped crying.. avni caressed his face and smiled whereas the baby boy held Avni's nuptial chain in his fist and starts playing with it.

Avni smiles and leaned back sitting comfortable.. she then opening her blouse starts feeding baby boy.. the baby boy starts drinking his milk while staring avni widely..

Avni then laid the baby boy back on bed once his feeding was done. Avni went to cupboard and brought baby essentials.. she kept it on bed and looks at Neil who was sleeping..

Avni : Neil.. Neil wake up..

Neil opens his eyes and looks at her..

Avni : get up and help me..

Neil yawningly sat up on the bed and looks at his baby who was trying to wake his princess with his small fingers. He chuckles seeing his try.. Neil smiling took him into his arms and rubs his stubble on his cheek..

Avni : Neil.. give clean advik.. I'll wake aaradhya up..

Neil nodded his head and starts playing Witt his son whereas avni shaking her head starts waking up aaradhya who was sleeping holding the baby duvet..

Neil looks at aaradhya who lying on bed surrounded with toys.. he moves to her picking her up in his arms.. her eyes twinkled seeing Neil.. she held his fingers making Neil smile..

Neil pecks her cheeks.. Neil giggles as her smile went wider.

Neil combing his hair looks through mirror and saw avni makimg aaradhya and advik ready. He quick got ready and moves to bed..

He then helped avni packing bag for aaradhya and advik..

Neil took his phone and wallet. He kept them in his pocket looking at avni.

Neil : ready?

Avni : I need to feed the before leaving.. meanwhile you keep all the stuff in car.

Neil nodding his head went down with the stuff.. avni starts feeding aaradhya first then advik.

Neil picks aaradhya in his arms who snuggles. Avni took advik in her arms..

Neil opening back door placed aaradhya on baby seat.. even avni did same with advik.. they putting seatbelt on them sat in the car..

In the khanna mansion.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for AvNeil and their grandchildren. Even Metha was present there along with vidyut and Juhi with their baby.

Meher : where are they?

Prakash: Meher have patience. They will be here soon..

Meher : but dad..

That the same time they heard door bell.. Meher widely smiling went to open the door.. she opens the door and screamed..

Meher : Bhaiiiiiii..

Neil glares Meher because she scared bus princess..

Neil : Meher keep your volume down.. you just scared my princess..

That was when Meher noticed aaradhya in Neil's arms.. Meher gave her sorry look.

Meher : sorry baby.. Bhai can I hold her?

Neil : not yet.. go and get things out from the car.. avni is waiting for you..

Meher pouts looking at aaradhya but nodding her head went out to see avni.

Meher : hello Bhabhi.. how are you?

Avni : hey Meher.. I'm fine.. you say.. can you hold advik..I have to get things out..

Meher : Bhabhi you wait.. I'll take it out.

Avni : okay..

Meher took the things and follows avni to khanna mansion.. as they entered they saw everyone taking turns to hold aaradhya..

Avni smiles and moves to them.. Bebe was the first one to notice avni.. she took advik in her arms and starts rocking him..

They all settled in hall. Avneil greeted both family and vidyut and Juhi.. Juhi gave birth to baby girl whose name is pari.

Neil smiles looking at his son and daughter who was getting all the love from everyone. He looks at other who was happy seeing them.. he kind of missed them. He was glad to make it today..

Neil took glass of water and drank it before walking to his room without being noticed by others but Prakash noticed him going up.. Prakash excused himself and followed Neil..

He saw Neil leaning to window and looking lost.. he walks to him and kept his hand on Neil's shoulder..

Neil turns around and saw Prakash.

Neil : dad what are you doing here?

He shockingly looks at Prakash.

Prakash: shouldn't I be asking you the same question? What are you doing here Neil? Everyone one is downstairs.

Neil : dad woh.. I wasnt feeling well.

Prakash: so you will lie to me.. I agree you're father but that doesn't mean you will hide things from your own father.. come on spill it out. What is bothering you?

Neil : dad.. what are you saying? Nothing is bothering me.. I just came up..

Prakash: Neil you can't lie at least to me.. I can read your face.. what are you thinking?

Neil sighed and moving to bed sat down. Prakash follows him.

Neil : dad.. I don't know but I have failed everyone.. especially avni and my children.. I can see it how badly I have failed them..

Prakash sat on his knees.

Prakash: what made you think that you have failed them Neil?

Neil : dad didn't you see how happy they look.. why didn't I realise this before? I was so busy with my work I forget I had family behind me dad.. they won't complain about I have seen in their eyes how much they wished to spend time with me.. dad I don't know how will I make things better..

Prakash: Neil stop thinking like that.. I know how hard you tried keeping things up.. it's not easy Neil.. you have adapt new changes.. you took time realise but the good thing is you know where you went wrong.. stop thinking whatever happened in past.. now focus what will you do to make your family happy.. hmm.. think about it..

Prakash patted his head and left the room whereas Neil recalled Prakash' words..

Neil comes down and saw everyone playing with aaradhya and advik.. he moves to them and sat beside avni who looks at him..

Avni moves close to him and whispers.

Avni: where did you go?

Neil : just roaming around..

Avni : Neil.. I want to full truth once we are alone.. okay.

Neil just bobbed his head and looks down his lap to see pari pulling his legs.. he smiles and picks her.. he made her sit on his lap and start talking to her..

Whole day was bliss for everyone.. they spent their times like old days.. everyone was happy taking the day off and being with whole family. Everyone stayed back in khanna mansion..

Everyone was sitting in hall and relishing ice cream after dinner when aaradhya starts wailing.. Avni kept her bowl down when Neil stopped her.. he himself got up and took aaradhya in his arms from the cradle.. he starts rocking her in his arms walking around..

Neil : she slept... I'm going to put her to sleep. You guys continue..

Neil starts walking up the stairs when he heard advik wailing.. he turns back and saw avni rocking him in her arms..

Avni looks at him then back to advik who was crying..

Neil : bring him too.. it's too late for them..we should put them to sleep.. come.

Avneil excusing themselves went to their room.. Meher came to bring the bag which has advik and aaradhya clothes and essentials..

Neil opening the bag took fresh diaper out and looks at aaradhya who was sleeping.. he then carefully took her clothes out and made her new the diaper along with new fresh night clothes..

He then looks at avni who was making advik ready..Aaradhya is sleeping fisting duvet in her hand. Adivk was still awake..

Neil took advik whereas avni to fresh up.. Neil sat on the bed and starts playing with advik.. in no time adivk fallen sleep too.. Neil kissed his cheek and laid him next aaradhya. He covering them kissed their cheeks and got up..

He took his clothes and opening the washroom door went in.. he saw avni brushing.. he moves to another side of washroom and got change quickly.

Avneil were side hugging each other and staring the sky filled with stars in balcony.. their smiles got wider and wider remembering moments of past... Neil tilting his face looks at avni..

Neil : love.. how about we cherish our old days here?

Avni : what do you mean Neil?

Neil turns her face and captures her lips showing the demo..

Neil broke the kiss.

Neil : like this.. what say?

Avni slaps his shoulder and leans back looking at the sky.

Avni : it's beautiful... up there Neil.

Neil : indeed it is.. but over here it's beautiful.. you know.. I make take you to heaven..

Avni knowing where his mind was going.. she turns his face to her side and capture his lips in his under the moonlight.

They broke the kiss when neil pecks her up and took her inside the room.. he then looks at his lifeline sleeping before turning the baby monitor on and steeping out of the room..

He enters in the room next their room. He closed the door with his left foot and walks to bed. He then laid her on bed and hovered over her keeping his entire body weight on avni..

Neil caressing her cheek pecks her forehead and dimes the light of the room. Soon their clothes hits the around.. the room was filled with Avni's moans and Neil's groans..

They got dressed and moved back to their room not before setting the bed neatly..

Neil laid on the bed beside aaradhya.. avni slept hugging advik lightly.. Neil looks at them and picking his phone from side table captured the small moments of his family. He kissed their cheek and closing his eyes slept.
