Fast forward a year

"BRADEN JOSEPH CARTER I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" I screamed as I ran around the pack house. My hair was green. Green. My idiotic best friend had decided it would be a good idea to change my shampoo to green hair dye. I hadn't noticed until I saw green water pooling at my feet. And when I read the bottle it said this stuff didn't wash out. I was going to have to wait three months before my hair would go back to normal.

Braden's head popped out from around the corner. "You called?" he said with a smug smile. "By the way, green looks good on you."

I had to restrain myself from strangling him. I would have if Kaelyn hadn't walked in. Although not his beta, Kaelyn and Braden were close friends and if I did any lasting damage to Braden... well Kaelyn would have my ass in a Tupperware. I glared up at Kaelyn who was wearing the same smirk that Braden was parading around. "You knew! You flipping avocado headed pancake! You knew that he was going to dye my hair!"

I couldn't believe this. Even the Alpha was in on this stupid prank. Kaelyn just shook his head and walked out leaving me with a measly, "I might've had something to do with it." I felt utterly betrayed and dissed. Braden burst out laughing and I flipped him of before walking out. I would get him back for this one.

It had been about three hours and my prank was all set up. I had since decided that I gave less than two flapjacks about what Kaelyn would do to me. If he wanted to dye my hair green, I would fudge him up. All of the males had headed out to training, but the Alpha and Beta trained separately. Because my best friend was so close (*insert eye roll here*) with the Alpha, he trained with them. I felt bad pulling Michal into this, but most likely if both Braden and Kaelyn knew, he knew too, so I felt less bad.

I'd been outside their training room for about an hour setting up the prank, and now that it was all set up, all I had to do was wait. They were going to come parading out in all of their post-workout glory, only to be doused in buckets of slime, quickly followed by boxes of feathers. By the end they would look like green big birds. To make it even better, I'd given myself a little one song playlist to play when they walked out. To say the least, it was going to be awesome. I couldn't wait.

The first thing Braden said when he saw me was "Sh*t". He might not have been the brightest person, but he did know when he was screwed. He turned around to the others who were all walking out with him, but before he could warn them about my presence, all three of them were covered in slime and feathers. I sat there sporting the same smirk that Kaelyn and Braden had worn this morning and withing seconds, I was on the floor laughing my behind off.

After a few minutes of them just standing there in shock and me laughing, I realized that I might want to run. Kaelyn was most definitely not happy about my little surprise, and Michal just looked confused as to why I had dumped slime and feathers on him. I had a bad feeling that they hadn't let him in on their little prank and I felt a little bad... just a little. Braden growled my name and I jumped up and took off. There was no way I was staying any longer and getting my Italian Ice beaten. I could hear the three of them chasing me, but I was able to reach the pack house and get inside before they could get to me. I then turned around and let loose a loud scream.

"Ellliiiiieeeee"

My blonde-haired other best friend, also known as Kaelyn's mate, came rushing downstairs. "What's going on? Is someone hurt? Why in the hell are you screaming my name?" She rushed out frantically. I told her about all of the events from today and she wholeheartedly supproted me and let me know that Kaelyn would not be coming anywhere near me.

When the boys got to the pack house, it took them longer as the idiots had decided to shift and now had slime stuck in their fur, they barged in. I was sitting on the couch with Ellie innocently sipping from my cup of tea. When they tried to approach me, Ellie quickly stopped them. "You barbarians are not setting foot on my rug without cleaning yourselves up first!." Kaelyn let out a whine and she gave him a solid look before turning back to me and continuing our conversation, which just so happened to be about different ways to get around spiteful guys...not anyone in specific though.

After about an hour, the boys returned with looks of triumph only for Kaelyn to be told that if any of them tried anything on me, he would be sleeping on the couch for a week. That quickly put an end to that.
