My phone signals were troubling me alot since the Morning so I went to the the rooftop because I had to make an Important phone call but as soon as I reached there, I saw a girl sitting there, her head was on her leg and it looked as if she was crying. I immediately stepped back so that the girl doesn't see me and looked at her through a small hole. "Why did I even call her? Why? I should have known this. Why did I made a fool out of myself, yet again?" She screamed out loud looking at the sky and that's when I realized, She's that girl, Nandini. The topper. I kept looking at her, trying to figure out what was wrong. "She has some other important work to do. Why does this always happen to me, God? What did I do to deserve this?" She was battling against thousands of emotions and her condition was terrible. "My mom has no time for me? She doesn't want to meet me, see my face? Doesn't she Miss me, at all? I'm tired of pretending to be strong. I'm tired to show the world that I don't give a damn about anything. I'm tired of this ignorance, this hypocrisy, this pain and this loneliness. Don't I deserve to be happy?" She was pleading for help, for love, for care and for attention. She was breaking inside and I was standing there, looking at her in such a miserable condition. And even though I disliked her, I looked up at the sky prayed to God, I wish she finds love. I wish she meets someone who changes her life, for better. I wish her life turns around because no one deserves such pain, such feeling, such loneliness. And along with that,I made another wish keeping in mind that she's the topper and a very very dangerous and clever girl, I wish our paths never cross again. She can be dangerous for us, for our plan and for our life.

We walked into the canteen and seated ourselves and the next minute, A girl kept her hand on our table and raised her eyebrow at us as if she was our boss or something. Like how dare she? Mukti Stood up crossing her arm and Questioned in a voice laced with anger, "Excuse Me, Who the hell are you?" The girl looked into her eye, flashed an evil smile and said, "Excused Miss newbie and Hello, I'm Sanaya, Sanya Singhania." And hearing her name, the words of those students echoed in my mind who were discussing about the three best students of this College, Nandini, Sanaya and Sid. "Does that even matter? Like, as if we give a damn!?" Snapped Mukti, giggling a liitle. "Well well, You have no idea babe. No one, I repeat, No one in this college messes with us. We're like, the boss you see?" She spoke confidently, looking at all of us. "And no one messes with us, We're the boss of the boss." Spoke Cabir, looking at her. "I like the attidute man but Guess what?" Another guy entered the canteen and waved a hello to Sanaya. "We don't care. I mean just look at you people, I have nothing else for you guys except 'Pity' Just a friendly advice bro," He said looking at Me, "Go back to Space. Nobody needs you here and most importantly, You don't deserve this place." I could feel my blood boiling inside me. "Or else?" I asked looking at him angrily. "Or else, we'll see how far you guys go cause bro, You sure as hell can't match upto our level." He kept his one hand in his pocket and the other one around Sanaya's shoulder and said, "And one more thing, Make sure you don't sit here the next time. No one is allowed to sit here but since you people are new and good for nothing, I'll let you guys feel this. You can consider it as a Favour from us." And saying this, he winked at me and left the canteen along with Sanaya. "This is too much guys. How dare they speak to us like that?" Alya cried out angrily while Dhruv held her hand in order to calm her down. "Nevermind guys. We are here for something else. Let's just not divert our mind okay?" Said Cabir, reminding us why we're here. "So what's the plan?" Asked Mukti in a low voice. I smiled, looked at her and said, "You guys have to sneak out of your hostel room and gather outside the library once everyone goes to sleep and make sure no one sees you leaving your room. Got it?" Cabir was however, confused abd definitely not okay with this plan. It was clearly evident from his face. "What happened? What are you thinking?" I questioned, looking at him. "No, nothing. It's just that, don't you think it's quite risky? I mean not the plan but the idea of everyone gathering outside the library. In my opinion, not everyone should join in. If for instance something goes wrong and we get caught, all of us will be in trouble and the warden will think something else. You know what I mean? We should play safe." His words hit me hard. He was so damn right. "You're right. Mukti and Alya, you two stay out of it okay? They nodded and I signaled Dhruv and Cabir to be careful.

Later that night, while eveyone was sleeping, I sneaked out of my hostel room along with Cabir and Instructed him to keep an eye so that no one comes inside the admin office. I walked into the office with a torch in my hand, and started to look for the file which had the names of all the students of F.I.L.M and their details. Just when I was trying my best to open a drawer which was jammed, I heard someone giggling. For a minute, I was completely frozen. Damn Manik! You're. So. Dead. I took a deep breath accepting my defeat because to be very honest, I had no other choice. I closed my eyes and Said as I turned, "I'm sorry sir. I was just..I..I..am so sorry sir. Please don't expel me." On hearing no answer for about a minute or two, I opened my eyes to face the reality and damn, I was astonished to the core. Like what even?  Standing in front of me was the same girl, who I never wished to see again. Why am I so damn unlucky? I cursed my fate. Like, out of all the people, Was it necessary for you to send her only? I Questioned God. "Now will you bother explaining me this or I should directly go to the principal?" She literally threatened me. God! "Listen you..Its not like tha-

"Nandini is my name. Call me by my name got that?" She said, cutting me off. "Okay fine. Nandini, I came here to complain about my lost ID card." I made a silly like an extremely silly excuse. "Oh wow that's superb but tell me something, whom did you complain to? I mean, am I blind or do you see too much?" This was height of sarcasm. Nobody in my life has ever been able to shut my mouth like this. "That's the thing na. I came here to complain but no one's here So I was just leaving." I tried to escape but all my efforts went in invain when she Questioned, "Very nice. So then you thought why not complain to this jammed drawer? Yay! Is it? Or wait, You were trying to leave through this drawer?" I was trapped. Like totally. By now, one thing was clear, Ths girl wouldn't let me leave so easily. Cabir was watching this from outside and I signaled him to leave immediately before she catches him too. "Fine then, as you wish. I'll go to the principal." Saying this she turned to leave but I pulled her closer twisting her hand. Her back was facing me and there wasn't even a single step distance between us. "Hey you, Leave my hand right now!" She cried, trying her best to get out of my hold but poor she, I wasn't letting her go anywhere. "Manik. My name is Manik." I whispered into her ear huskily. "What the hell!? Leave me, I said. I swear I'll go to the principal right now and you're gone man you're so gone." She was irritated like anything. "Fine, go," I began, leaving her hand and setting her free, "Then I'll also go tell everyone that the topper of this College was crying alone at the rooftop because her Mother refused to come and meet her since she has some other important work to do. I wonder what's more important than you?" While I was saying this, she was standing there emotionless but the moment I said the last line, a tear escaped her eye and I felt so bad. Shit Manik! No. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't meant to hurt you." She took a deep breath to compose herself and said, "Your secret is safe with me." I smiled and replied, "And yours, with me." She left the admin office hearing this and I knew I had caused her pain. I was sure that she was hurt and In that Particular moment, I felt so guilty. I had seen a different side of her in the morning and that was too scary. What did you do Manik! I cursed.

"Did she had a bad past? What exactly went wrong?" My eyes turned red hearing this question and I threw the glass on the floor angrily. "Nothing was wrong! Just keep her out of this damn thing." I screamed out loud. I lost my temper and why wouldn't I? Why the hell are they asking about her again and again?
