*The next day*

Everyone gathered in the great hall and Professor Dippet announced that the the curfew will be more strict. Everyone gasped when Professor told that Elizabeth has been found petrified. Tom looked at me but I didn't look back, I only gasped with everyone else, trying to ack like I don't know anything.

Tomorrow our Christmas break's going to start so after the classes I started my packing. I carefully packed dad's fake Horcrux Notebook but then a thought came to my mind, no one would ever leave such a valuable object without any protection. I should protect it with charms.

I rushed to Dumbledore's office for help. Before I could knock at the door I heard him talking... talking with Tom! I flicked my wand silently to cast a spell that diminished the sound barrier, so I could hear them properly. 

"I am afraid you will have to go to the orphanage Tom. No student is allowed to stay back at Hogwarts during the Christmas break." Dumbledore sighed.

"But Professor I have nowhere else to go." Tom said. 

"I understand Tom but it is out of my power." I tried to quickly escape from the spot as I heard Tom's footsteps coming closer. "It's not good to eavesdrop." Tom grabbed my arm 'gently' before I could leave. I turned to him and he let go off my arm, unlike most of the times, he was sad. 

"I have an idea." I said, low enough so only he could hear. "You don't need to worry about me." He sneered. 

"Unfortunately I do worry about you but it's not the only thing I'm worrying right now." He furrowed his brows in confusion but before he could speak I started once again 

"You don't need to go back to the orphanage, you can spend the Christmas break in my house." 

"With Dumbledore ?" He looked annoyed. 

"No! I don't live with him...I mean my house where I lived with mom and dad. There will be no one else to disturb you, all of them are dead." 

"And what is your advantage in that ?"

"I hate spending Christmas alone and I hate living in that big Manor alone, it scares me sometimes and moreover you also have an advantage." 

"And what is that ?" 

"Did you really forget about the Horcrux thing?...and furthermore I might need your help to find it." 

He was quiet for a moment, I didn't disturb him because I knew he was thinking. "Alright, I will come with you." 

He finally said. I smiled at him before entering Dumbledore's office. As soon as I got in I casted a spell so no one could hear us. "It was impressive. I never expected him to agree with anyone." Professor said with a warm smile, trying to praise me, but his smile faded quickly "But how will you persuade your grandparents and great grandparents into letting you spend Christmas with them ?" 

"I am not going to my actual home, I was thinking about going to the safe house. I think it is empty right now." 

"Lets hope the plan works" He paused "So is there anything else I can help you with ?"

"Oh! I almost forgot about it." I pulled out the notebook from my pocket and gave it to him "Put a charm on this, strong enough to prevent me from opening it but weak enough for Tom." It didn't take long for him to cast the charm and it's strength was exactly how I demanded.
