Just A Little Jelp For Ya (D.O.D. Guest Starring Kelp)
Joy: *is bright pink*
Joy: Nope.
Air: Yep.
Nightflyer: Serious heart hands.
Rainkeeper: Yesssssssssssss. SHIP!
Joy: Rainkeeper?
Rainkeeper: Yea?
Joy: Just.......why?
Rainkeeper: Because I can. Deal with it.
Joy: *rolls eyes*
Nightflyer: He helped me pick out the scenes.
Joy: *slams head against wall*
*Kelp appears*
Kelp: I'm going to be violently murdered today, aren't I?
Air: Nah. Everyone will be too busy fangirling to kill you.
Seashell: Not me.
Air: No, you'll be crying in a corner.
Seashell:.....Well screw you.
Nightflyer: I do.
Air: *whacks Nightflyer*
*players appear*
Sunny: HAVE MERCY!
Air: Relax Sunny, today is a calm day.
Seashell :Hosts are being tortured instead.
Starflight: Hallelujah.
Glory: What's the catch?
Rainkeeper: No catch.
Nightflyer: Just sit back, relax,
Air: As Joy and Kelp read you the top three jelp-iest parts of Just a Little Glorybringer For Ya.
Joy: Why is your ship name jelp anyway?
Kelp: What else would it be?
Joy: Duh, it should be Jely.
Kelp:......why?
Joy: So that we can walk around and say "You're just Jely of your relationship"
Kelp:............................Why do I like you.
Joy: Because I'm irresistible.
Tsunami: Great.
Deathbringer: *reveals chakrams* I'm prepared.
Riptide: Well this will be creepy.
Glory: Read away.
Kelp: This is probably gonna soud weird, but here goes nothing.
Kelp: Kelp grabbed ahold of Joy's arm.
"Come with me," he insisted. Joy grinned and followed him away from the school.
Kelp lead her down a narrow hallway, far away from the school, and even far from Stonemover's cave. "Kelp, where are we going?" she asked. He smiled. "It's a surprise." he replied excitedly.
Deathbringer: Why the hell is she just following him down a dark hallway? That should raise some concern!
Joy: We do this a lot actually.
Joy: Her curiosity grew as they kept walking. "Close your eyes," Kelp teased as the reached the end of another hallway. Joy eyed him, but obliged. Even though her eyes were shut, Kelp still snuck up behind her and wrapped his talons over her eyes, just in case. "No peeking," he warned, leading her into a cave. "Aaaaand, open your eyes!" he announced a few moments later.
Joy opened her eyes and gasped. They were in a huge cave with a lake in it. A small waterfall ran through one of the walls, and the whole area was open to the sky. "Wow," she whispered, looking around. They were standing on a solid floor that was smooth to the touch, perfect for dancing. Large, comfortable looking rocks lined part of the lake's edge, and the water was crystal clear. Kelp was grinning as he took in her awed expression.
Kelp: "Like it? The Seawings haven't found this one yet, so I figured it could be our place. A secret spot just for the two of us." he explained. Joy turned to face him, a wide smile on her face. "I LOVE it!" she exclaimed, rushing over to kiss him. Kelp lifted her off her feet and spun around.
Joy: "So, what do you want to do first?" he asked. Joy grinned slyly. "Well," she began. "I've always wondered what it would be like to kiss underwater..."
Glory: You. Did. NOT.
Joy: .................Uh....
Sunny: *screeches with shipping happiness*
Tsunami: Kelp......
Kelp: *cowers*
Deathbringer: DEATH will be BROUGHT.
Riptide: Not happening. Ever.
Joy: Well boo fucking hoo, it happens.
Seashell: Gross.
Nightflyer: Next!
Joy: *sighs*
Joy: The group had safely returned to JMA and had finally washed the blood off their scales-
Peril: WOAH!
Tsunami: HOLD ON!
Starflight: WHY IS THERE BLOOD?!?!?!?!?!
Rainkeeper: Because Pineapple slit Kelp's throat.
Riptide: Kelp, WTF kind of family are you getting involved with?
Glory: Nothing more insane than Tsunami's, I assure you.
Joy: ANYWAYS!
Joy: Kelp was to remain in the infirmary over night, but everyone else was free to go back to their sleeping caves. They explained what had happened to the teachers and Sunny had reluctantly contacted Glory about the incident. Now it was late at night, but Joy found the very idea of sleep impossible. She ended up wandering the halls until she landed in the infirmary, next to Kelp, who was sleeping. Or so she thought.
Fatespeaker: Isn't it just wonderful to watch someone sleep without them knowing it?
Seashell: Yeah....
Starflight: Wait what?
Kelp: WTF Seashell?
Kelp: "No no no. We've got this all wrong." Kelp announced, opening his eyes. "You're supposed to be the sleeping beauty, and I'm supposed to be the prince."
Clay: Isn't he technically a prince?
Tsunami: Technically.
Kelp: Joy laughed. "I think it works this way too." she insisted, smiling at him. "Well, I'd like to think I'm beautiful enough to be a sleeping princess, but somehow I think you'd make a better one." he agreed, grinning at her.
Deathbringer: YES! Joy, THANK YOU for dating a man who knows how to flirt!
Glory: *facepalms*
Joy: "But, now I'm curious. Why are you here?" Joy shrugged. "Couldn't sleep." she admitted. "Well, maybe you'll have better luck here." he suggested, sliding over. "Are you inviting me into your bed, Kelp?" she questioned, grinning.
Sunny: Please say yes.
Joy: Ew Sunny.
Deathbringer: *raises hatchet*
Kelp: "No, I am inviting you to stay the night with me on a very uncomfortable reed mat." he retorted, smiling at her. "Alright," she agreed, laying down next to him. They talked for a little while longer, neither one of them minding that they fell asleep in each other's arms.
Starflight: Um, aren't they still in JMA?
Joy: Yes.
Starflight: So, what happened when we found out?
Air: Clay screamed and woke up the entire school and Tsunami tried to kill them.
Peril: That sounds about right.
Seashell: Moving on....
Joy: Joy awoke with a start, her heart pounding from a horrible nightmare. Sweat covered her face as she panted slightly, shaking with lingering fear. She glanced around the room, noting that Moon and Air were sound asleep. Joy didn't know why, but she suddenly felt very alone, very... vulnerable. She didn't like this feeling. She wanted someone near her. But who could she go to? It's not like she could wake up Air because she felt alone in a room with two other dragons. There was one idea in her mind, a horrible idea. And yet, it was growing on her and her lasting fear from the nightmare beckoned her to go through with it. Taking a deep breath, and still shaking slightly, Joy quietly left the cave. She walked down the hall until she reached the cave she was looking for. She hesitated in the doorway, unsure of what to do next. There were two dragon in the room, both of them sleeping. She stared at the dragon closer to her, watching as he slowly woke up.
Seashell: See? It's not creepy to watch someone sleep!
Fatespeaker: See? I'm not the only one!
Starflight: IT'S STILL FREAKING CREEPY!
Kelp: Just not when Joy does it.
Seashell: WHY?
Joy: Because I'm me. Duh.
Kelp: Kelp felt as if he was being watched. He opened his eyes and saw Joy standing in the doorway. She looked shaken, almost... scared. "Bad dream?" he asked. She nodded. "Do you want to talk about it?" She shook her head quickly, tears brewing in her eyes. "Come here," Kelp insisted, beckoning her over. She laid down next to him with a grateful sigh. "Can I just stay here?" she whispered, her voice shaky. "Of course." Kelp agreed, wrapping his arm around her. She relaxed and curled up next to him, her eyes growing heavy. Kelp stayed awake until he was sure she was asleep, then he smiled slightly and closed his eyes.
Rainkeeper: ALL ABOARD THE S.S. JELP! LEAVING PORT IMMEDIATELY!!!
Air: And the next part-
Nightflyer: Oh no, there's more to this one.
Air: There is?
Nightflyer: Nightflyer sighed. He officially could not sleep. He wished that he could go flying, but he knew how much trouble that would get him in. What if he just went for a walk? That might help. He sighed again and got to his feet, walking towards the door. He walked past Kelp's bed, reached the doorway, and froze. After a pause he walked backwards to look at Kelp's bed again. Joy?! What the heck was Joy doing in Kelp's bed? And how long had she been there? Oh, I am sooo going to use this against them. Nightflyer promised, walking out of the room with a grin on his face.
Joy: Death to your cow.
Riptide: *starts laughing*
Rainkeeper: Now it's time for the last part.
Air: *checks number of words*
Air: Holy shit we're over a thousand words.
Seashell: WE'VE BEATEN THE RECORD!!!!
Nightflyer: WOOP!
*confetti canon goes off*
Rainkeeper: Read the last part with pride!
Joy: .....You're all crazy.
Joy/Kelp: They were at it again. It was deep into the night, and Kelp and Joy were in the middle of yet another dance lesson. But lately, there hadn't been as much teaching involved. Now it was just about dancing until their feet gave out. Today was no exception. They danced and danced, their feet a blur, spinning and swaying, tapping and twirling. Kelp's heart was pounding with the music in his head. The logical voice in his head grew weaker with every dance. He didn't care how much he wasn't supposed to have this. He didn't care how much it would hurt later on because he knew it'd be worth it. Joy felt similar. She didn't care how anyone would react, she didn't care what they thought. She knew it would cause problems later, but that didn't matter. She just wanted to save the way he made her feel forever. He just wanted to have one good thing in his life that he deserved. Around and around they went in this circle, fighting wars with themselves. But Kelp was tired of circles. That's why, when he spun her close, and she turned her head, and their lips were just inches apart, he closed the distance. It wasn't exactly planned, but he did it anyways. He kissed her. And she didn't pull away. A few moments of eternity later, they broke apart, both of them panting slightly. But that wasn't from the energy of dancing; it was from the buzz they both still felt on their lips. They stared at each other, neither knowing what to say, or what they wanted to hear. More moments passed as the feeling wore off, leaving their hearts heavy with emotions they were forbidden to have. But neither of them cared. That's probably why, a second later, Joy kissed him. She grabbed Kelp by the neck and kissed him. His eyes closed, savoring everything. Everything- from the fruit she smelled of, to the way his arms fit around her waist, to how her arms fit around his neck, to the strange sweetness he could taste as they kissed. No matter what happened between them in the future, they both knew that this one moment would stay with them forever. And one moment was all they needed to throw away everything the world thought was right.
