Cuz...Why not continue..right? I was enjoying it hehe. Yes guys this is a continuation of the story 'hidden reality' as you can tell by the title with 'reality' on it. I guess that word is beloved my me now...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both Evan and Connor got along pretty well, they've been hanging out. Unfortunately, Evan wasn't aware of the truth yet. Connor was too afraid he would stop hanging out and not become friends anymore knowing his true nature. He was planning to though, except that his plans doesn't always prevail. Let's face it he was way over thinking the situation.
To this day he invited Evan to his house to have dinner and after that, go hang out in Connor's room ( to have sum ;) To hang. Evan was obviously nervous, even though he's been hanging out with his friend he was never invited to dinner. If you don't count family reunion though that doesn't also end well.
Evan tried to prepare himself greatly, although he can never be satisfied of what he was wearing and started calling Jared for help.
~Evan's POV~
I looked myself in the mirror and observe my appearance. I was waiting for Jared to come to await his opinion. Though I personally think I look like a clown. I really look weird. I don't think Connor would ever like this.
I heard a knock on the door. I immediately thought it was Jared and ran downstairs to get it. I opened the door and my jaw dropped. It was Connor. "Oh hey Con...Uh...What time is it?" I looked at my watch. It was actually 2 hours early or my watch just stopped working for a while. Huh, that's funny I just got this watch from my birthday, I assumed it won't be broken for at least more than a year.
"Hey sorry It's probably not time yet but I just got worried and I just decided that I would go here before the time." He looked a little nervous. It got me confused, why if anyone here would be nervous it should be me. "Oh...Oh okie c-come in." I said as I stepped aside and opened the door wider.
"H-hey I...Uh...Gotta go to the washroom. I-in the meantime you could sit and watch T.V. if you want." I smiled comfortingly and rushed to the 2nd floor.
I scanned my clothes in the closet and decided....Eh why the fern not. If he doesn't like my clothes or appearance I believe he won't or shouldn't like me at all. I took one last look at myself in the mirror and went back downstairs.
"S-so, what d-do you w-wan't to talk about?" I suddenly got the idea that maybe he wanted to cancel the dinner for some reason. "Look...Evan I'm....I'm sorry." He looked down, it made my heart beat as fast as light.
( Oh please if that was possible you should be dead by now you see-
Me: STOP LEARNING SCIENCE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. )
"Wh-what do you mean?" I said my eyes wide. "I lied. A lot. I thought I could handle it, I thought that if I just hide the truth everything's fine, but it's not fine! I can't even sleep for crying out loud." Well....That explains the eye bugs, at first I thought he started smoking drugs but I guess I was wrong.
"Hey hey hey, Connor I'm your friend and no matter what happens, I wouldn't just let you go. Unless you're actually a killer and you decided to befriend me and have a slumber party and you kill me in my sleep..." I looked around cuz I said it to fast. ( yeah Evan that's why )
He cupped his head and took a deep breath. "Ok...The truth is that..."
~Connor's POV~
I stared into his eyes. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this.
I breathed out and prepared myself. He's my friend I'm sure he'll understand. I moved closer to him. I didn't want anyone else to know, I knew that his mother wasn't home but I intend to be sure about that.
Then suddenly I realized I can't do this and decided to lean forward close my eyes and kiss him. Yes I know, something that I can and should never do but I can't help it he was too adorable, especially with the clothing he was wearing, it really brought out his eyes.
"Hey Ev- Oh My God Connor Murphy." Jared barged in the door, guess nobody cares about knocking these days. I pulled away and dared not to look at any of their faces, I feel so embarrassed by letting my own heart lead instead of my brain. Now at least I know how small my brain really is.
"Jared. I would appreciate it really if you did knock on the door...This is not only my home. " Evan said looking at him. I chuckled on how adorable he is when he's kinda mad. "Oh sorry." He went outside and knocked.
*knock knock knock* "Evan?" *knock knock knock* "Evan?" *knock knock knock* "Evan?"
Then changed into
*Knock* Knock*knock*knock* "They're gonna....I mean...Evan?"
Evan sighed. "Come in." He said as Jared immediately went inside. "Thank you."
"And as for you Connor you..That...Was great." I looked at him dumbfounded. I felt my face heat up. "I uhh uhhh..." I tried to say something smart, but turns out my brain wasn't working again. He leaned and kissed me. I think he forgot that Jared was here. I didn't midn though, I get to have my Evan.
Jared coughed. "Uh,yeah should I go?" He asked disrupting our beautiful moment. Evan pulled away and I saw his face was bright red. "Oh right...Jared...Uh...Bye!" I said pulling Ev closer to me and hugging him. Jared left smiling to himself.
"He's gone." I said enthusiastically. He chuckled and we both pulled away. "Wanna do something before going to dinner?" Evan said in a seducing way. I nodded quickly and followed him to his room.
What did we end up doing?
Oh nothing mind blowing....
Just...
I enjoyed it...
.....
Watching the big bang theory, that's all.
~Evan's POV~
I enjoyed my few hours with Connor. Just me and him in bed. Enjoying each other's company. As the world pass by. I didn't even realize hours had passed and we're kinda running late.
"C-con...I think we should go now." I slowly sat up and fixed my hair quick."Okie, let's go." He said as we both ran downstairs. We both got onto Connor's car and he started driving. "Ok so, my other friends won't be there just to confirm. And I hope you feel comfortable."
I had second thoughts. Why would I won't be comfortable with family who is close to perfection. "Oh...O-ok" Nice save Evan, really? There's gotta be more to it than that.
He stopped the car and I saw a wonderful house. We were in a subdivision, the house was pearly white. It was kinda bright because of the moonlight. I tried to study Connor's face, I might be wrong but he seemed tense and nervous.
They both went inside the house, both nervous and tensed. As they went inside they were both greeted by the parents and Zoe. "Hi Connor and Evan, welcome to our house. Please make yourself at home." Evan smiled at the welcomed, he don't always get this kind of welcome.
After a few minutes they all went to dinner and eat. "So how way school?" Cynthia, Connor's mother, said. "Oh it's really fine mom." Zoe answered taking a light soup. "Hey mom asked ME what was happening not you." Connor said to Zoe.
"Why do you always have to take the spotlight." He then murmured. "Well I figured you would never answer so I decided to answer for you and save the time." Zoe replied. Then she whispered, "Why don't you just say thank you? I was just trying to help."
Evan can feel the tension and was really surprised. He'd never seen both of them act like this at school, he was suddenly trying to overthink stuff. "I-I mean...Uhm...Sorry brother, I didn't mean to interfere." Zoe said trying not to sound suspicious.
"It's fine it's probably my fault I over reacted, I'm sorry." Connor replied. "No I'm sorry." Zoe said kindly. "No, I'M sorry." Connor then replied. "Hey I was so wrong I'm the one who's sorry."
After a few minutes, Evan was stunned by everything. He knew both of them got along, but this isn't turning out to be a good sign. He felt as if Ares was around here somewhere.
( There's a new musical which is the lightning thief and I kinda like it so I'm into PJO now huehuehue )
"THAT'S IT I-.....Need to go." Connor said as he stormed out. Evan felt so embarrassed by just seeing this. "I'm going to see what's going on. Please excuse me." Evan said as he followed Connor upstairs. He went up to his room as Evan followed.
"Sorry you had to see that...I was going to tell you, but I was just too afraid you wouldn't like me anymore." Connor looked down and sat on his bed. "Tell me what?" Evan said as he sat beside Connor. "You know that I....Have a beautiful life and that everything is perfect. Well....The truth is...It's not." He felt so disappointed in himself that he just wanted to die on that spot.
Something stopped him though. Because this time, he knew someone's actually listening to him for the first time. "Con..." Evan took both his hands.
"A-after all these years you were living miserably and no one knew because...They thought your life was perfect?" Connor started to have teary eyes and began to cry as he nodded. "Oh my poor Connor." He hugged him and did his best to comfort him.
"Evan I...I'm so sorry I should've told you. I just didn't want you to see how miserable I am." Connor whispered on Evan's ear. "Shh shh it's ok. I'm still here, I will always be here." He started to trail quick little kissed on his neck.
"Aren't you going to tell your parents?"
"I...I don't know, they're going to be mad at me...And Zoe-"
"I'm sure your parents would still accept you as well. We probably need to talk to Zoe."
The just in time Zoe went inside. "Hey gays...Oh gosh that was a typo, sorry." She covered her mouth. "Zoe...This is a verbal conversation..." Connor asked with a little smirk on his face.
"Uh...Hey guys...What's...going on?" She asked eager to change the topic. Connor wiped a tear off his face. "I'm planning to tell our parents." Connor said as he looked at Evan for reassurance. "Wh-what? But..Whta if-"
"It'll be fine! It's our parents Zoe, they at least have the right to know." Zoe looked around while thinking about it. Eventually she sighed and nodded. "Fine...Ok..." She ran a hand through her hair.
"So how are you going to plan to do this?"
~~~~~~~~~After a few minutes~~~~~~~~~~~~
They both went down and decided to make things right downstairs. Evan felt the awkward tension already as they were descending down. "Oh hi Evan and Connor, come join us. We're just watching the latest news for the day." Cynthia said warmly. Evan smiled and held Connor's arm to force him to come join.
They spent the rest of the hours discussing about Zoe and Connor's life. "...After all this time I thought you and Zoe were just being playful with those little fights." Cynthia said a little disappointed.
"We're sorry mom...We just didn't want you to be disappointed in us if you knew the truth." Zoe said. "Connor, Zoe. You both are my child, I might not be the type of person who shows so much love, but please I love you both so much just the way you are." Cynthia hugged her children.
"Well, Larry aren't you going to say something?" Larry sighed. "Yes, whatever your mom sad." He said as he hesitantly hugged the whole family. "Evan you join too, you helped me a lot." Evan blushed and walked to them and hugged them as well.
They stopped having fake friends. Connor and Zoe still has minor fights, but they're trying their best just little baby steps at a time. Soon the trio began to become more closer. This time, their life felt perfect and normal.
