Luna pushed her way through the bushes. Her thoughts ran to how she got banished. I shouldn't remember that strict alpha, She thought. Her fur tingled with anger. 

She sniffed for any scents of danger. Good, none. She padded off to her den made under sticks and branches of a fallen tree. She couldn't stop thinking of her betrayal. She regretted every moment of it. She killed another wolf, an innocent wolf. A friend. 

Luna couldn't get sleep that night. It was too hot. Summer. Was that what her mother called it? She tried not to remember her pack, either. StarPack should be ashamed of theirselves! Then she shook her head at the thought. The leader should be! Banishing....me. 

As she slept, no dreams came, which was a huge relief. 

The next morning Luna woke up. She wanted to hunt but her energy was low. Yesterday she killed that wolf. She got hurt. Banished. She had used all her energy on running away. Her sleep didn't even help, which she hated to have more rest. 

Okay, she did sleep. Again. For the whole day. She would have to sleep for a whole day and a whole night. Perhaps I would have energy then? She wondered. If not, then whatever.
