Thank you for sparing your time to read this fanfiction, which was my very first fanfiction series project that I got to work on with the help of my friend, Whendaleksattack.

Knowing that it was my first and his first series, please know that you will find a lot of story inconsistencies, grammatical errors, and repetitive usage of the same phrases repeatedly. We are trying to improve ourselves and overcome those shortcomings as we progressed through the series right to the end.

As always, constructive criticism is what we need to overcome those shortcomings that we currently have. So, feel free to put down your honest constructive criticisms and we will try to accept it considering that the criticism is fully constructive and not in some way, insulting.

Of course, making such a series doesn't come with its own embarrassment to the general public, and of course, the fandom community. Fanfiction to some eyes can be considered 'cringy' at times. But we don't believe such things.

We think that Fanfiction can bring a degree of creativity to a person, and it can also be a good starting point for one person to start making more and more original literature works, like a book, novel and much more.

You came across this fanfic, and you may be asking, what is AU?

In simplest of terms, AU means an "alternate universe" of a TV or Movie series, in this case "Limestone AU" is one of many alternate universes that the Doraemon series could have. An AU maker can change every aspect of the series to their heart's content. They can change where it took place, character traits, the design, what happened in the series, when did the series happen, and so forth.

Yes, the possibilities of an AU were endless. An AU allows one Fanfiction author to take their own liberties with the original series, compared to the Canon Fanfiction in which an author was limited to the story's original flow.

So, if you guys think that the title of the series kinda rings something to you. Then you'd be correct. This series was inspired from the song "Yume wo Nazotte" or Chasing the Dream. The lyrics of the song was quite beautiful in my opinion, and I decided to put this down as an idea of a good fanfiction series for Doraemon.

Foreword No. 2 from Whendaleksattack (Second Writer)

Hey! Dalek here.

It's been an interesting ride working on this series with Karbonite. Lots of different ideas, jokes, characters, etc come to us either by a freak accident or by complete randomness, but I think it's stuff like that makes me enjoy writing every now and then (either that or sneaking in references to things I know plenty of, but don't tell Karbon).

I agree that the term "fanfiction" is something that does get looked down a good amount of times, but at the same time it may be someone's first time writing something they take an interest into, or even in a new language they're learning. Course I'm not using these as excuses, but I don't think people should be terribly ashamed of themselves to write fanfiction because it's looked down on. It's your own decision anyways, plus you might even get some good ideas for the thing you're writing about. Who knows?

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this volume both of us worked on for a bit. As always, we're both open to suggestions and criticism regarding the series. After all, that's the best way to get better!
