I was on the Pinterest, and saw this meme:
I thought it was funny and I pinned it. Then, it occurred to me that it is not entirely correct.
It should say, "Not idly do the leaves of Lorien fall" ... Except in Spring...
That's right. the Mallorn trees of Lothlorien lose their leaves in springtime. So the branches of the trees are never vacant.
Here's a picture drawn by J.R.R. Tolkien himself, called: The Forest of Lothlorien in Spring. You can see the now-golden leaves lying at the base of the tree. Mallorns don't lose their leaves until new ones push them out.
So in the Summer, green floor (grass), silver pillars (mallorn trunks), and green roof (leaves)
Autumn, green/brown/dying grass color floor, silver pillars, and golden roof
Winter, white floor, silver pillars, golden roof. It must look really beautiful with the golden of the leaves blending with the silver white of the snow. :)
Spring, green and golden floor, silver pillars, and green and it looks like more yellow gold roof.
So now how the color scheme in Lorien goes.
Hope you enjoyed, -GadSul
