Supergirl ~ Shelter From The Storm ~ Part One
My brief moment of calm before I get swept away by the hurricane of too much work this week. I am really not looking forward to this week, so I figured I'd do something that makes me feel accomplished before I run on fumes. So, here's what I thought I could succeed at!
The Legion heads off, Alex visits Ruby with a few extra guests, and Kara meets Patricia Arias.
Enjoy part one of "Shelter From The Storm!"

"I can't believe your dad and Kara let us walk through National City by ourselves," Evelyn was giggling as she dug into the frozen yogurt she was carrying.
William grinned back up at her as they walked down the streets. "I think they know we haven't even gone three blocks from Kara's apartment complex."
Evelyn snorted. "This is . . . what, my fourth time in National City? I don't even know where we are."
"That's what I'm here for," William smirked. "And you're keeping me in check."
"Am I?" Evelyn pointed her spoon at the much larger frozen yogurt cup he was holding.
William looked down at it, then shrugged and looked up at her. "Are you telling Dad?"
"Kara's probably listening in right now and will tell him instead," Evelyn rolled her eyes fondly.
"Hey, this isn't even half of what she typically gets," William stabbed his spoon into the frozen yogurt. "Compared to her, I'm having a small portion."
"Uh huh," Evelyn smirked.
"I am!"
"Tell your dad that!"
William grumbled, but he went back to eating his frozen yogurt. "It's just good to have a break from Star City now that my dad isn't getting impeached."
"Agreed," Evelyn nodded.
"Hey, what time is it?" William suddenly asked, looking at his phone. Evelyn was about to point out he had his watch right on his wrist, then realized she had no idea if Earth-38 ran on the same clock as Earth-1 did, and William perked up. "Come on, we need to see the Legion off!"

"I went to the market yesterday, Father," J'onn told M'yrnn, stepping into the living room where he was mediating. "I bought some of those cocoa beans. I thought we could mix them up with some of those Sidamo Guji beans you like so much. On this planet, they call the mixing of the two brown waters a mocha."
M'yrnn turned to look at him, brow furrowing. "Please leave me be, Rokar."
J'onn did a double take, then walked forward, sitting across from M'yrnn. "It's not Rokar. It's J'onn, Father." M'yrnn looked at him, a small expression of surprise on his face. "But I still have a little time before seeing the Legion off. Perhaps I could help you with the Ta'ar Kar'iq, continue the preservation of your memories."
"I haven't the energy today," M'yrnn looked down.
"I think it would be good for you," J'onn began.
"I have not the energy," M'yrnn insisted, and J'onn nodded in acceptance. "Maybe if you could turn on the vinyl discs, that would be nice."
"Sure," J'onn nodded, giving M'yrnn a smile. "Of course."
He stood up, walking over to the player, and when he turned on the music and the first jazz notes came forth, M'yrnn smiled softly.

"Chameleon was the first Legionnaire to fall," Imra gestured to one of the cryotubes, showing the team. "Stricken by the Blight. Six more quickly followed."
"So you put them in stasis to save their lives," Kara deduced.
"It was Brainy's idea," Mon-El nodded. "Keep them on ice until we can find a cure."
"I was wondering why you hadn't woken them up to join the fight," Alex nodded.
"We couldn't risk exposing your timeline to the sickness," Imra explained. "Couldn't risk causing the very thing we were trying so hard to prevent."
"Considering how bad it was with just Pestilence and not the Blight, thank you for that," Oliver grimaced, William rapidly nodding in agreement.
"But we did prevent it," Mon-El smiled proudly. "And with Pestilence defeated in this time, they were never infected, so their vitals are back normal."
"It is imperative that Imra return to the future," Querl spoke up. "We don't know that the Titan Alliance will have held given the change to the timeline. Every second we waste could bring us closer to intergalactic war."
"Yes, please avoid intergalactic war," Felicity nodded quickly.
"Well, with the Legion's help, we defeated two Worldkillers," Kara smiled fondly. "I think we can handle Reign from here on out." She flapped her cape intentionally. "Especially with my new cape tricks."
"Well, I guess it's back to the future, then," Mon-El nodded.
Several people blinked. "Uh," Dig held out. "He does know – "
"That it's a movie title?" Mon-El finished, smiling sheepishly. "I know. I just like saying it."
"Yes," Querl nodded in agreement. "What time traveler doesn't?" He extended his hand, deepening his voice dramatically. "Back to the future!"
Mon-El and Imra looked at him incredulously, and Querl's head whipped towards Felicity, Evelyn, William, Malcolm, and Laurel when they stifled snorts of amusement, though Oliver and Slade exchanged amused looks.

"When I first got here, I assessed you as a first-level intellect," Querl told Winn as they walked through the cruiser.
"Thank you," Winn nodded in recollection.
"As reference, I'm a 12th."
"Oh, yes," Winn just barely refrained from rolling his eyes. "Yes, you've mentioned that."
"But now that I've gotten to know you, I realize that you're actually more accurately categorized as a 1.42-level intellect."
Winn stopped short, looking at Querl, who looked very pleased with himself. "Wow," he settled on saying. "Thank you."
"It is I who's expressing gratitude for all of your help," Querl shook his head, pulling a jar out from behind his back. "With this gift."
Winn blinked, then carefully took the jar from Querl. "What's this, space dirt?"
"Earth dirt," Querl corrected. "But it is from the 31st century."
Winn stared at him in shock. "Are you serious?" he stammered, pointing at it. "This is future dirt?"
"Yes," Querl confirmed.
"How did you – ?" he sputtered. "Did Mon-El tell you about my dirt collection?"
"No," Querl shook his head. "I ran a diagnostic of your personality and calculated with a 98.7% certainty that you either collected dirt or New York Mets baseball cards. And judging by the last 783 uninterrupted Major League seasons, I figured dirt was more likely to hold its value." Winn pondered that as Querl raised his hand to his head, undoing the human appearance, returning to his Coluan form. "Shall we embrace?" he asked.
Winn blinked rapidly as Querl extended his hands, approaching him. "What are you doing? That's – oh!" He stopped Querl before he came any closer, pushing his arms out. "We're gonna bro-hug. So, this way," he adjusted his arms. "And then you wanna – yeah, I'll go – " He sighed when Querl didn't move his arms the way Winn wanted him to, then let Querl hug him, going the opposite direction. "Yeah, that's good. Yeah."

"The worst moment of my life was watching my sister die," Imra smiled warmly at Kara. "But now, because of your help, I have faith that I'll see her again."
Kara smiled back, then Winn ran around the corner. "Hey, Alex!" he shouted, making Alex look over from where she was talking with Slade. "You gotta see what Brainy just got me! Space dirt ain't got nothing on this, baby."
"He got you what?" Felicity's jaw dropped, running over. "Let me see!"
"Oh, the nerd-fest beckons," Alex rolled her eyes fondly, making Slade chuckle as she walked over to see what Winn was waving.
"Mon-El's changed a lot," Kara told Imra, smiling as they watched Felicity bombard Winn with questions, Evelyn peering over her shoulder. "He's become a great man, and I'm certain you have a lot to do with that."
"Thanks, Kara," Imra beamed.
"Hey," Mon-El walked over to join them. "I think it's time to buckle in."
Imra nodded, looking back at Kara. "I'll help Brainy with the preparations."
Kara gave Imra a quick hug, the Saturnian giving her a wide smile before hurrying off. Mon-El watched her go with a fond smile, then turned back to Kara. "Well, you would think that we would be experts at goodbyes now."
Kara laughed, shaking her head and looking down at the ground. She took a deep breath, then looked back up. "It's no secret that I struggled when you got here."
"Yeah," Mon-El nodded, seeing Oliver walk around the corner with Dig. "You weren't the only one."
"But I can honestly say now, truthfully, I'm really happy I got to see you again," Kara smiled at him. "Witnessed the man you've become."
"It meant the world to me to be back here with you, and with everyone," Mon-El told her. "To fight by your side."
"I'm really gonna miss your friendship," Kara smiled widely.
Mon-El nodded in agreement, looking at Oliver as he walked over. "And I'm really gonna miss being threatened daily by your people," he joked.
"They don't do it daily," Oliver rolled his eyes, then cleared his throat loudly. "Unless there's something I need to know?"
"Hey, we did our job right the first time!" Laurel held up her hands. "Haven't threatened him since."
Mon-El laughed. "I'm just glad we managed to get along."
"Well, you're not half bad," Oliver smiled at the Daxamite, extending his hand. "Thank you so much for all of your help in Star City."
"Of course," Mon-El nodded, shaking his hand. "I'd do anything to help my friends, including in other universes."
Oliver nodded, then looked past him when Felicity made a startled noise. "Felicity?" he asked, making the others look and see Felicity gawking at her phone.
"Lena's penthouse was attacked," she looked back up.
Kara balked, and Mon-El made a hasty gesture at her. "Go," he urged.
Kara nodded, rushing past him, she and Alex rushing for the exit. "Sorry," Oliver apologized quickly, backing up after them.
"Go help Lena," Mon-El waved him off. "She's more important right now."
The rest of the team followed behind Oliver, William and Evelyn running after them as well, leaving just Winn looking at him. "Man, J'onn's gonna be sad he missed you."
"Yeah, tell him it's OK," Mon-El shook his head. "I'll see him in a thousand years."
Winn stared at him, unable to tell if he was joking, then laughed and headed out. "OK!"

"Why would Reign go after Lena?" Kara wondered, looking at the shattered window remains on the floor.
"Well, Lena did imprison Reign," Winn pointed out.
"And then, you know, experimented on her for a little bit," Felicity smiled nervously.
"But Reign's never done anything for revenge," Slade frowned, looking around the broken window. "It's not her MO."
"I agree," J'onn nodded.
"You're right," Lena rubbed her neck, thanking William when he handed her a bottle of water. "Reign wasn't looking for me. She was looking for Ruby."
"Ruby?!" William's eyes widened.
"Is she – ?" Alex began, looking just as worried.
"Reign won't find her," Lena assured her. "Ruby's safe, I promise."
"And are you OK?" Kara asked in concern.
"I'm fine," Lena nodded.
"So Reign is after Ruby, and she started with Lena," J'onn summarized.
Lena nodded in confirmation. "Where else would she look?" Oliver asked.
"Maybe other family members?" Dig suggested.
"Sam's mother, Patricia," Lena offered. "She's got a farm outside the city."
"Kara, Oliver, and I will go get Patricia to safety and then wait for Reign to attack," J'onn nodded, looking around. "Siren, do you think you can help?"
"Definitely," Laurel nodded.
"Is there anything we need to stock up on?" Malcolm asked. "Anything we could use for trick arrows?"
"Electricity," Lena answered after a moment of thought. "It was how I was able to wake Reign up and force her back down."
"Ooo," Winn's eyes brightened. "I can retrofit something."
"I'll help," Felicity volunteered.
"Guess that's where we'll be," Dig looked at Malcolm, who nodded in agreement.
"But what about Ruby?" William looked around. "What if Reign manages to find her?"
"That's where I'll be," Alex answered.
"Alone?" Evelyn's eyebrows shot up.
"Not alone," Slade shook his head. "I'll go with her."
"Slade," Alex sighed, turning to look at him.
"The more protection Ruby has, the better," Slade argued, giving her a firm look. "Besides, I get the feeling you're taking at least one extra person with you."
"Yeah," William nodded rapidly. "I want to visit Ruby."
"That may not be a good idea," Oliver cleared his throat.
"Dad, it would probably help Ruby if she had a friend," William looked at him with wide eyes. "Please?"
"I'll go, too," Evelyn volunteered, looking at Oliver. "I mean, I'd like to meet her, and I can try and protect Will as best as I can."
"And that's why it's better for you to have backup," Slade gave Alex a pointed look.
Alex couldn't help but smirk. "And you're fine with being backup?"
Slade snorted loudly. "You can handle yourself just fine, Danvers. I'll just help where I'm needed."
Lena fidgeted. "The less people know where Ruby's safe place is, the safer the place will be."
"There's nothing wrong with being too careful, Lena," Slade looked at her. "Especially now that we know Reign is definitely looking for her."
Lena sighed, nodding in acceptance. "Where Ruby is, Reign will never find her. It's not on any maps. You can't see it from space. Nobody knows about it except for me and my brother."
"And how does Lex know about it?" Kara frowned uneasily.
"Because it's his mansion," Lena answered.

Slade looked up from the car's GPS when it beeped, putting the brakes on. "These are the coordinates," he said as he put the car in park.
Alex unlocked her door and stepped out, walking up to what looked like a lamppost electrical box. She flipped it open, aware of William and Evelyn watching curiously as she punched in the code given to her by Lena. The air warped past the fence, and she watched in satisfaction as a large mansion shimmered into view. "Whoa," Evelyn's jaw dropped.
"Cool!" William grinned.
Alex walked back over to the car, getting in and shutting the door. "Let's get to Ruby."

"Nice house," Laurel remarked as the quartet walked up towards the Arias residence.
"Looks like," Oliver nodded in agreement.
Kara, still in her Supergirl suit, knocked on the door while Oliver and Laurel still looked around. "Patricia Arias?" she called out. "We need to talk to you."
After a few moments of silence, she looked at J'onn, who nodded at her. "Let's go." Kara nodded back, and J'onn opened the door, stepping inside the house. "Mrs. Arias?" he shouted.
"Francis Pierce," a woman's voice shouted from nearby, making Oliver and Laurel crane their necks to see where she was, "I told you that the next time I caught you in my house looking for pills, I was gonna put a hole through your thieving hand!"
When Patricia Arias came out of the kitchen, raising and cocking a rifle, Oliver immediately reached for the gun he had holstered on his waist, Laurel tensing. Kara stepped in front of J'onn, narrowing her eyes; the moment Patricia saw her, she lowered her gun, stopping where she stood. "Supergirl?" she asked in shock.
"We're sorry if we startled you, Mrs. Arias," Kara apologized, then gestured behind her. "This is Oliver Queen, Laurel Lance, and John Jones, FBI."
J'onn was the only one who held up his disguised ID, which was enough for Patricia, who nodded faintly. "We have reason to believe that Reign is on her way here," he told her.
"Which means this house isn't safe," Oliver nodded. "We need to get you out of it."
Patricia swallowed hard. "She's her, isn't she?" she asked, voice wavering. "My Sam is Reign."
Laurel did a double take as Kara stared at her. "How do you know?" the Kryptonian asked. If Patricia had known, why didn't she come forward earlier?
Patricia just beckoned to them, and they followed her up to the second floor, towards one of the bedrooms. "I never told her where she was from," she explained. "I just wanted her to be normal . . . and then, when she was ten, she started doodling all over her books. It was like something inside her just needed to get out, and . . . I punished her for it. I grounded her, and I tore up the pages."
She took a deep breath, then walked over to the wall and ripped off chunks of the paper. Laurel balked when she saw the inked drawing underneath. "The Worldkiller coat of arms," she whispered, recognizing the crest drawn in black.
Patricia sighed, turning back to them. "So she drew it on the wall to spite me. When I saw the same mark all over the news, I knew." Kara nodded sadly, and Patricia closed her eyes, turning around and walking towards one of the dressers. "Oh, Jesus . . . all I ever wanted to do was to protect her. That's all I ever wanted." She looked at a picture of a young girl with dark hair, then turned back around. "When we bury things . . . and I should've known this, but when we bury things, they come at you even harder."
"What Sam's become has nothing to do with the way she was raised," Kara shook her head.
"I was an awful mother," Patricia argued. "I kicked her out. I've never even met my granddaughter."
Laurel flinched, and J'onn cleared his throat. "Uh, we need to get you out of here before she comes."
"No," Patricia said firmly. "If she's coming here, I wanna be here when she does. I kicked her out when I should've helped her. I am not gonna turn away from her now."

Ruby's sitter took a deep breath as they turned down the umpteenth hallway in the mansion. "Not much further."
"I'm fine, Mrs. Queller," Alex assured her.
"I've hiked worse," Slade grumbled, thinking of Lian Yu.
"Even Cayden James's warehouse wasn't as big as this place," Evelyn hissed to William as they looked at everything they came across.
"Really?" William's eyes widened.
"Yeah," Evelyn nodded. "It didn't take this long to get from one side to the other."
"Geez."
"Oh," Mrs. Queller smiled anxiously. "Of course you are. I mean, you're in much better shape than me. You don't have these knees I have to contend with. Do you know, it took me a week to get used to the distances in this place? The step count from wing to wing? Five thousand. Slightly bigger than my townhouse."
"Well, I'm in a studio, so," Alex shrugged.
"At least it looks better than Lian Yu," Slade eyed the expensive furniture.
"I think the décor's creepy," Mrs. Queller said, stopping in front of a painting. "Oh, especially this one."
Slade immediately narrowed his eyes at the woman in the painting, and Evelyn noticed William inhale sharply when he saw it. "Um," she pointed at the painting. "Who – ?"
"Lillian Luthor," William answered, whispering her name like it was a curse.
"Oh," Evelyn's eyes widened in understanding. "The woman who – ?"
"Yep."
"And your dad and Slade – ?"
"Yep."
Evelyn exhaled. "OK."
"Worse than the Mona Lisa," Mrs. Queller clicked her tongue. "Her eyes follow you everywhere, not in a good way."
"Can I shoot that painting before we leave?" Slade growled quietly to Alex as they turned to follow Mrs. Queller.
Alex considered. "Do you think Lena would mind?"
Slade snorted loudly. "But, you know," Mrs. Queller continued as if she hadn't heard them, "if you can overlook some of the furnishings and the fact that the owner was a serial killer . . . luckily, we haven't found a body yet, and the amenities are really quite fantastic."
Evelyn looked at William incredulously as they walked on. "Is she serious?"
"Lex Luthor was Superman's greatest enemy before he was imprisoned," William eyed Lillian's portrait as they went on. "I think she is."
Evelyn let out a deep breath. "This family is messed up."
Mrs. Queller rounded the corner, and Alex couldn't help but smile when she saw the brunette girl with headphones working at the table. "Ruby doll!" Mrs. Queller called, getting her attention. "Look who's come to pay you a visit!"
Ruby looked up, and as William and Evelyn finally came up behind Alex and Slade, she shot up immediately. "William!" she yanked her headphones off, running forward.
"Hey!" William grinned, hugging her tightly. "It's good to see you!"
"You, too," Ruby beamed. "It's been forever." She perked up when she saw who else was there. "Aunt Alex? Slade?"
"Hi," Alex smiled, giving her a hug as well. "Oh, I'm so glad you're OK."
"Hi, Slade," Ruby smiled at the Aussie.
"Hi, Ruby," Slade chuckled, giving her a fistbump when she offered it. "It's good to see you."
"And this is Evelyn," William gestured to the dark-haired girl, who shyly waved. "Dad and Kara have been looking after her."
"Hello," Evelyn held out her hand.
"Nice to meet you," Ruby shook her hand.
"And she makes really good Monte Cristos," William added.
Evelyn blushed fiercely. "Oliver makes them so much better than me."
"She's modest," William added conspiratorially.
Evelyn punched him in the shoulder, and Ruby giggled. "Thanks for visiting." She looked up at Alex, a hopeful look on her face. "Is my mom here, too?"
Alex sighed, shaking her head. "No. She's still sick."
"What's wrong with her?" Ruby asked, speaking quickly. "She won't tell me, and Lena won't tell me. Do you know?"
"None of us do," Slade shook his head.
Ruby slumped. "I haven't heard from her in days," she said miserably. "And on the news, there are stories about the Pestilence outbreak. Is that what this is? Was my mom infected?"
"No, Ruby," Alex shook her head. "No."
"I'm twelve years old, Alex," Ruby insisted. "I can handle anything. Just tell me what it is."
Evelyn leaned down to whisper in William's ear. "I get why you like her."
"Evelyn!" William's eyes widened, cheeks flushing.
Alex ignored the two behind her, even as Slade gave Evelyn a smirk, and she took Ruby's hands. "I would if I knew," she said. "But I don't."
Ruby deflated, then William stepped forward. "Can you give us a tour?" he asked hopefully.
Ruby looked at him hopefully. "Are you staying a while?"
"I think so," William looked at Alex and Slade.
"Go," Alex chuckled.
"Yes!" both Ruby and William whooped.
"Come on," Ruby grabbed both William's and Evelyn's hands, tugging them off. "Did Mrs. Queller tell you there's an indoor pool?"
"Really?" William asked in genuine curiosity, Evelyn's laughter following them as they ran off into the house.
"Think you could have kept an eye on all three by yourself?" Slade chuckled, seeing Alex look after them.
Alex sighed, rolling her eyes. "Thank you for tagging along, Slade."
He patted her on the shoulder, taking his duffel off his own. "My pleasure, Alex."

"Everything is set," J'onn announced, walking into the kitchen.
"So are we," Oliver nodded. "Patricia's in the safe room."
"She also said we can grab anything out of the fridge if we want," Laurel said, closing the refrigerator door. "I can confirm when she said there's pudding."
J'onn made a face. "No thanks."
Kara giggled, walking over to join J'onn at the counter. "Mon-El and everyone missed you this morning."
"Uh, yeah, I'm sorry about that," J'onn sighed. "I was dealing with my father. Since the incident at the D.E.O., he has become increasingly depressed. Irritable, if I push him."
"Oh, no," Laurel frowned in concern.
"Can Alex prescribe something?" Kara asked.
"I'm giving him Martian medicine, which helps," J'onn shrugged. "But the reality is, with the psychic dampener on, there isn't really much he can do." He sighed, leaning against the counter. "Yeah, I know I needed to protect him – protect all of us – but I still wish there was some way I could make him feel useful. There are moments when he doesn't seem to remember who I am. Thinks I'm someone from his past."
"I'm sorry, J'onn," Kara whispered.
He nodded, accepting her words. "It's funny how his past memories are so clear to him, yet his present thoughts are so chaotic."
"Hey," Kara walked forward, hugging him tightly.
Oliver averted his eyes, wanting to give them a moment, and his eyes landed on the flower vase by the window . . . the flower vase with flowers that were currently wilting, he realized, his eyes widening. "Oh, my God," he whispered.
"What?" Laurel peered past him, and she did a double take, seeing the flowers. "What the hell?"
He pointed at the flowers, looking at J'onn and Kara as they turned to see. "Pestilence," he said in confusion.
"How?" Kara asked in shock.
"Positions?" Laurel guessed.
"Yeah," Oliver nodded, grabbing the gun Winn had manufactured for him and rushing off, the others running to their places as well.
***
Kara could hear the downstairs door creak open, then Reign's warped voice echoing through the house. "Patricia?" A second later, her voice had evened out, becoming Sam's, albeit harsher. "Are you home?" She heard footsteps up the stairs, then her voice was just a few feet away. "Ruby? Sweetheart, it's Mommy. I know you're scared, but I've come back for you. Did you miss me?"
She opened the closet doors, and Kara plastered a smile on her face, holding up the gun Winn had made. "So much," she deadpanned, firing at Reign and launching the electric ropes at her.
Reign was flung out the window and onto the lawn below, and Kara flew out to land in a crouch, J'onn phasing through the house to join her, Oliver and Laurel rushing out from behind the house, guns drawn. With a loud shout, Reign broke the electric ropes binding her, landing on bended knee . . . and then she let loose a sonic scream, overwhelming all four of them instantly. Kara fell to the ground, clutching her head, hearing Laurel's cries of pain and Oliver's yells behind her. J'onn removed his hands from his ears to see his hands covered in blood, and another scream from Reign flung him back. She turned to Oliver next, eyes glowing red; Oliver barely managed to fling himself out of the way of her heat vision in time, the tree behind him lighting on fire when she hit it instead.
Kara looked up weakly at Reign as the Worldkiller approached, and she balked when she saw Reign's fingernails lengthen into claws just like Pestilence's. The only thing that stopped Reign from approaching further was the sound of a door slamming behind her. "Sam!" Patricia shouted, and Reign turned as the woman rushed up. "Sam, I know you're in there! I know my daughter's in there! And I need her to understand . . . " She took her glasses off, allowing Reign to see her tears. "You are not this monster! You are kind and good! You are everything that I wasn't! you are not this! Honey, if you're listening, if you can hear me, I need you to rise up! Not for me! Not for me, Sam. This is for Ruby!" She held up a picture frame, revealing a picture she had of Sam and Ruby, the glass cracked. "For your daughter."
Reign stared long and hard at the picture, then looked at Patricia, lips curling. "What did you do for your daughter?" she asked, then thrust her hand forward.
Her claws sank into Patricia's chest, and the woman gasped in pain, eyes widening. "No!" Kara cried desperately, Laurel staggering to her feet, hand still clutching her head.
"I love you, Sam," Patricia gasped out weakly. "I forgive you."
Kara yelled in anger, firing her heat vision and hitting Reign in the chest, making her drop Patricia. Laurel screamed as hard as she could, knocking Reign away from her foster mother, and Kara flew forward, grabbing Reign and throwing her into the house. She panted, watching the house go up in flames, then hurried to join Laurel as she checked on Patricia, J'onn assisting Oliver in standing. "She's dying," Laurel told her sadly.
"How does Reign have all the Worldkillers' powers?" Oliver asked in disbelief, still disoriented from the scream.
"I don't know," J'onn shook his head. "But we need to get her out of here. We gotta go."
Kara took a deep breath and nodded, grabbing Oliver and picking up Patricia with her other arm, J'onn taking Laurel's arm, the two aliens flying off and away from the Arias house.
***
I felt really bad for Patricia at the end. I would have liked to see her meet Ruby.
Speaking of Ruby, like how she met Evelyn? I knew when I saw this episode that William was going to be involved, and then Evelyn tagged along for the ride. I also figured Slade would be the best to accompany Alex. They'll be an interesting pair to explore since I haven't really written much about them aside from in one group.
Don't hold me to this, but I'm hoping to write part two next weekend! If that happens, it happens, and if it doesn't, it doesn't. Keep an eye out!
