Supergirl ~ Make It Reign ~ Part Three
Selena and her priestesses attack, Oliver and Kara come home, and reinforcements arrive.
***
As D.E.O. agents rushed Selena, Ayala, and Vita, Selena threw the man who dared to step in her way towards the wall, ignoring his scream of pain. Vita and Ayala used their heat vision to make the next agents fall to the ground, sprawling out.
Selena looked around at the damage done as Alex, Slade, and Demos ran in from the portal room. "We were drawn by the blood of our fallen Worldkillers," Selena announced. "Hand it over, and we won't spill yours."
"Get the blood," Alex hissed to Demos. "It's in the lab. Destroy it."
"You got it," Demos nodded, turning and running.
Alex strode forward, drawing her gun. "Didn't they teach you how to knock on Krypton?" she snarled.
When the priestesses turned to her, Alex fired an energy net from her gun, knocking them down. "Yours does that?" Slade asked in surprise.
"We're not doing this now," Alex grumbled, grabbing his hand and tugging him off. "Come on!"
Selena used her heat vision to destroy the net, and she rose to her feet, sneering. "Find the blood of our sisters," she ordered, and Vita and Ayala took off.

"Dark Kryptonians?" Mon-El asked as he and Lucy met Alex and Slade in the armory.
"Dark Kryptonians," Alex nodded, grabbing a box off the top shelf and opening it. She took a deep breath. "Lucy, Slade, take some of them. Mon-El, bring your A-game."
"Yes, ma'am," Mon-El nodded.

"Hello?" Winn tapped on the panel frantically. "Hello? Kara, can you hear me?"
"It's her mother," Alura's voice rang out.
"Listen, listen, we have three Kryptonians that have just attacked us," Winn said in a rush. "We really need your daughter and her fiancé to come back, like, ASAP."
He spared a look at the readings in front of him, and he froze when he saw a cloaked figure reflected on it. "Winn?" Alura asked as he turned to see Vita behind him. "Winn, are you still there?"
Winn slowly backed away from the console, triggering the shield on his belt as he slowly turned. "Hi, there," he smiled and waved in a hopefully nonthreatening way.
Vita fired her heat vision at him, and while Winn stumbled back from the impact, he wasn't hurt. He laughed in glee. "Aha!"
Vita was still perfectly capable, however, of zooming forward and throwing him away from the portal.

Alura looked up as Kara and Oliver ran back into the lab, both now in their suits, Oliver's quiver full. "Your friend was back, but now he's gone," Alura said.
"We need to know what's going on there," Oliver frowned.
"Let me try," Kara shimmied so she was at the console, and she tapped away at the Kryptonese glyphs. A video feed popped up, and Kara nodded. "This is the hologram's point of view."
"Cool," William grinned.
"Good, now we know what's going on," Oliver nodded. "Can you get their portal online?"
"I'm trying," Kara frowned, moving the hologram forward. When she tried to put her palm on the scanner to activate it, though, the hologram went right through it. "Well, that's not good," she huffed.
"Wait!" William grabbed Kara's arm and pointed at the video screen. "There's one of them!"
Oliver frowned, seeing the priestess walk past the doorway. "Does it need to be a specific person to trigger the portal?" he asked.
"No," Kara grinned. "No, it doesn't." She tapped the controls and walked the hologram out after the priestess. "Vita!" she called.
The black-haired Kryptonian spun around. "Alura?" she frowned. "How did you survive?"
"I'm faster than I looked," Kara replied, directing the hologram back.
Oliver grinned, seeing Vita follow. "Nice job, buddy."
"Thanks, Dad," William grinned.

Ayala moved through the D.E.O. quickly, and she approached the medbay quicker with every step. "Mom, we have to go," Ruby whimpered, tugging on Sam's arm.
Sam tried to sit up, but she winced, shaking her head. "I'll be too slow," she said. "You go, baby, you go."
"I'm not leaving without you!" Ruby argued.
"I'll distract her!" Sam tried to push her away. "You go!"
Ruby shook her head, then looked around desperately. She then saw the tablet still on the table, as well as a circular device she thought she had seen Kara and Oliver use before. She reached out, snatched the device, then tapped the tablet.
The field sprung up, and Ruby squeezed the device tightly in her hand, backing up against Sam. Sam hugged her tightly, and they watched Ayala frown at the field before turning to look around at the lab. Ruby swallowed, then saw movement out of the corner of her eye. One of the men in D.E.O. gear tried to duck out of sight, and Ruby picked up a small metal tray, then dropped it on the ground.
Ayala spun around towards them, and Ruby curled up by Sam, who gripped her tighter. "You can't escape me for long," she hissed, then fired her heat vision at the field.
The heat vision fizzled out, and Ayala cried out in pain, covering her eyes. Demos took his chance and ran forward, carefully taking the vials of Purity's and Pestilence's blood from their container. Footsteps behind him made him freeze. "I see you found the blood of our sisters," Selena drawled, eyes glowing.
A gun went off behind her, and Selena gasped, veins glowing green as she collapsed. "Yeah," Alex stormed into the room. "Kryptonite bullets."
Ayala rammed into Alex, and Ruby flinched as lab equipment spilled everywhere. She looked at the device in her hands, trying to figure out how to make it work. "Come on, come on," she mumbled, finally pressing a button.
"Hey, so that's how the communications feature works!" a familiar voice came through. Unfortunately, Ruby couldn't immediately think of his name. "Hey, that's convenient, actually, because – "
"We need help!" Ruby burst out, looking up to see the palms of Alex's gloves glow green as she fought with Ayala, Mon-El flying into the room to wrestle Selena away from Demos, who took off running. "Kryptonians are attacking the D.E.O.!"
"Ruby?" the voice turned concern. "What do you mean?"
"I think they want my mom!" Ruby sobbed, backing up. "And Supergirl isn't here, and neither is J'onn – "
She gasped and dropped the device as Mon-El was flung into the field, Selena snarling and throwing away the glowing green bullet she had hit. Ayala flung a lab table aside and grabbed Alex by the shoulder, throwing her into the wall.
That was when Slade and Lucy charged into the room, drawing attention to them. "Back off," Lucy narrowed her eyes, firing at the same time as Slade.
Their bullets made Selena and Ayala stumble back, and Mon-El got back to his feet, flying forward and pushing them over the railing and down to the main floor of the D.E.O.

Alura's hologram tilted its head as Vita stormed towards her. "I'm surprised Selena kept you," she remarked. "You were never very smart."
"What did you say?" Vita narrowed her eyes.
"You were never very smart," Alura repeated sweetly.
Vita threw a punch, but the hologram flickered out of existence, and the control panel for the portal lit up green. She turned as the portal swirled with purple energy, and Kara jumped out, punching Vita to the ground. "I'm through!" she called gleefully.
***
On the other side of the portal, Oliver turned to William and crouched down. "When we get there, you find a place to stay and you hide until we tell you to come out," he ordered. "OK?"
"Be safe," William told him.
Oliver smiled. "Kryptonians is just a typical Monday, buddy."
"Oliver?" He looked up, and he grinned as Alura stepped back into the lab. Gone was her aqua dress. Now she was clad in dark purple and gold, dressed for a fight. "I'm coming with you," she said firmly.
***
Kara brushed her hands off, and she grinned as Oliver and William came through, then she laughed as Alura joined them. "Welcome to Earth, Mom!" she hugged her.
***
Winn scrambled to get back to the main D.E.O. floor, and he arrived just as Demos ran down the staircase. Selena snarled as she got to her feet. "He has the blood!"
"Demos, your belt!" Winn shouted.
Demos scrambled to activate the shield Winn had made as Kara and Alura landed behind the Kryptonians, Oliver grappling down behind them. He tossed the vials through the air, and Kara lunged forward to grab them as the priestesses' eyes glowed orange. Their heat vision started to cut through the air just as a rumble filled the sky, then a black and purple blur landed in front of Demos. A swirling orb of blue and grey energy formed around them, and the Kryptonians' heat vision bounced back, tossing them away.
And as Kara swiped the blood out of the air, Mon-El landed on the ground and grinned widely. "Imra!"
The forcefield dissipated, and Mon-El's wife gracefully rose to her feet, smiling. "Did you find another battle without us?" she asked as the Legion cruiser shimmered into existence, hovering outside the D.E.O.
Selena snarled, getting to her feet and turning to Imra, but she stopped when a breach opened behind Imra. The Saturnian turned around, and dark gold lightning raced out. "So," Cisco jumped out next, looking around as Barry skidded to a stop by Kara. "Rumor has it you have a Kryptonian infestation?"
"Rude," Kara sniffed.
"Is that a Doctor Who reference?" Curtis asked as he, Rene, and Dinah came out next. "I think that's a Doctor Who reference."
"Tense up," Oliver narrowed his eyes, drawing a Kryptonite arrow and aiming at the priestesses.
Selena glared at him. "To think, Kara, that you actually care for these humans," she walked forward. "One would have thought that the Girl of Steel would know that caring makes you weak."
"That's not gonna do a single thing, you know that, right?" Malcolm's cold voice pierced the air, and Winn turned to see him jump out of another breach with Dig, Laurel, and Evelyn, Oliver's extrapolator in his other hand. "You're talking to a brick wall if you're going that route."
"Trust me," Leo's drawl was the next surprise, Alura looking to see the man in the blue parka saunter out like he owned the building, Ray behind him and closing the breach they entered through. "Caring is this gang's specialty."
Selena extended her hand to Kara. "Give me the blood," she ordered.
"One step closer, and you're facing two Kryptonite arrows," Oliver warned.
"Actually," Barry smirked as Cisco fired another breach open. "Make that three."
"I don't blame you for miscounting," Thea smirked as she walked out, drawing her bow back all the way as Roy and Nyssa joined her, the Kryptonite arrowhead glittering in the sunlight. "I've been away for a while."
Kara grinned suddenly. "Who's up for target practice?" she asked, holding up the vials. She got grins all around, and she turned back to Selena. "You want the blood? You can have it!"
She tossed the vials into the air and fired her heat vision at the same time as Alura. Oliver, Malcolm, and Thea fired their arrows simultaneously, and Dig and Rene fired their guns in unison. Heat vision, bullets, and arrows hit the vials as Selena reached for them. Shards of glass stained with blood were all that were left when Selena tried to catch what she sought.
As Selena cried out in pain, heat vision burning her hand, Vita threw down what appeared to be an orb of light. The priestesses vanished, leaving nothing in their wake except the destruction they had caused.
For a moment, the circle of heroes looked down at the droplets of blood that had landed on the ground. "Just how many Kryptonians do you face in a year?" Ray asked in disbelief.
"Hopefully, these are the only ones we have left," Kara muttered.
Oliver quickly put his bow to the side, striding quickly to where Thea was lowering her bow. "Speedy?" he asked in disbelief.
"You didn't think I would miss your wedding, did you?" she smiled, hugging him tightly.
"Slade?" Malcolm shouted, looking around. "Where are you, napping?"
The Australian's head poked over the railing to the next floor, Alex appearing next to him. "What took you so long, wizard?" he barked in annoyance.
"Magician!" Malcolm glared up at him, sending Laurel into laughter.
Alura looked around in bewilderment, surprised by the sudden lightheartedness she was seeing. "Is this typical?" she asked.
"Yes," Kara smiled, hugging Evelyn when the young archer raced for her. "I guess you're meeting some of the family a little early."
***
"Ruby!" William burst into the lab, Evelyn, Kara, and Oliver right behind him.
Ruby scrambled to get the field down, and she hugged William tightly when he crashed into her. "Oh, thank God," she cried in relief, Evelyn joining their hug. "I thought we were dead!"
"It's gonna take more than three evil Kryptonians to take out someone as strong as you, Ruby," Kara patted her shoulder, then looked at Sam, who was lying on the medical bed, looking horrible. "What's happened?"
"It's a long story," Sam smiled weakly.
***
"Oh, thank God," Lena sighed in relief, making Max look up from where he was working. "Let me know if you need us over there sooner. We'll keep you posted on our end."
"What happened?" Max asked in concern.
"Sam's no better, and three Kryptonians just attacked the D.E.O. looking for the Worldkillers' blood," Lena answered.
"Ouch," Max winced. "Well, I reworked the Harun-El to try and jump-start Sam's blood cells, but they're not responding. If anything, they're getting weaker."
Lena frowned, thinking. "Maybe I can adjust the solution we used and re-inject Sam," she said, picking up a nearby dish. "This should still have the blood of Reign and Sam on it."
She placed it under the microscope and projected the image on the screen, and Max blinked. "Wait a minute," he leaned forward. "Is that . . . ?"
Lena's eyes widened. "I think I know what's wrong with Sam!"

"This is . . . " J'onn's voice trailed off as he watched memories of Mars fly by. "This is like reliving this horror." He looked at M'yrnn. "Perhaps we should take a break, Father."
"No," M'yrnn shook his head. "The hardships we travailed are important. As we reach through them, you will learn the lessons I have learned. Be able to teach others to take a different path. And when we reach past the painful memories, inevitably, we find the good." J'onn inhaled sharply when the next memories reached him. "Before the fires, there was your birth. A gift from H'ronmeer who forced me to lift my head up out of the scriptures and to have a life. Since I have been here, I have tried to teach you balance. I pray that now, as we journey together, entwining our consciousness, you will truly understand."
***
"If they're regular Kryptonians, we should be able to track them down," Alex said as the teams gathered in the D.E.O.
"They're protected by magic," Alura warned.
"Excellent," Querl rubbed his hands together. "A challenge. I shall take it on at once."
"We'll find them," Felicity grinned.
"Shouldn't J'onn be here?" Dinah asked.
"No," Alex shook her head, biting her lip. "He's with M'yrnn. I'll get him if the situation becomes dire."
"Great," Cisco snorted. "All we need is Reign, and then we'd really have a party."
"Great," Max walked up. "What kind of drinks do you need? I'll buy, because this'll rival anything I've attended."
"Sam?" Oliver straightened, seeing Lena help her over. "Shouldn't you be in bed?"
"I need to be here," Sam shook her head, leaning against the console. "This involves me."
"We know why Sam's sick," Lena said, pulling up an image on her tablet. "These are Sam's blood cells, and these are Reign's. Sam's blood cells are getting weaker, while Reign's are getting stronger. They share a symbiotic, non-local entanglement. Reign and Sam are still connected."
"In other words, we have a Worldkiller getting stronger by the minute on our hands," Max said.
"Now, when you say Worldkiller, how powerful of a Kryptonian are we talking about here?" Ray asked.
"Much stronger than Overgirl," Kara answered.
"Ooo," Leo winced. "I needed that image."
"Some of us faced her alone at Christmas," Barry nodded. "That wasn't fun."
"Wasn't fun watching, either," Oliver glowered.
"OK, but we all saw those vials get destroyed, blood and all," Thea frowned. "If they needed the blood for Reign, how is this happening?"
"There were blood splatters on the ground," Nyssa pointed out. "Perhaps they had some on their hands?"
Kara groaned, putting her head in her hands. "I'm an idiot."
"Wait," Dig shook his head. "You said Reign is getting stronger while Sam is getting weaker. Shouldn't the opposite be true? If Sam gets stronger – "
"Reign gets weaker," Slade nodded.
"That's our theory," Max nodded. "Except nothing we've tried has work."
"Great," Rene huffed. "Anyone have any last-minute magical solutions?"
"The Fountains of Lilith," Alura perked up.
Rene blinked. "I wasn't actually expecting an answer, but I'll take it."
"Fountains of what?" Kara leaned forward eagerly.
"Years ago, when I sentenced Jindah Kol Rozz to prison, she spouted about vengeance," Alura explained. "One fountain gave infinite strength, the other brought weakness. She spoke of a woman born of the fountain with the power of destruction."
"Reign was created in the Dark Valley, and she doesn't get her powers from the yellow sun," Kara nodded.
"Perhaps they are from this fountain," Imra nodded.
"Then it's settled," Sam nodded. "I'm going back to the Dark Valley."
Alex balked. "Sam, you're too weak!"
"Wasn't the Brainiac the one who got her there before?" Max gestured to Querl.
"Yes, and I can do it again," Querl spun in his chair. "However, to be blunt, I am unsure if Sam would survive if I do it again."
"Wow, I missed you two," Kara smiled at Imra.
"We missed you," Imra smiled back.
"Well, that's a risk I'm willing to take if it means ending Reign and saving the world," Sam declared. "And I have to do it for my daughter. I promise you, I am not dying today."
"Good," Kara snorted. "Otherwise I'm down a bridesmaid."
Sam smirked. "I'm not missing that for the world."
"Well, neither do we, but unfortunately, we actually weren't planning on coming to help fight Kryptonians, though we'd certainly like to," Cisco cleared his throat.
"Yeah, how did all of you get here?" Kara looked around. "And I mean . . . all of you? Not that it's good to see you two, and especially you three," she looked from Leo and Ray to Thea, Nyssa, and Roy. "But . . . how did you all get here?"
"That's not because of us," Barry shook his head. "We were coming for you and Oliver."
"What for?" Oliver frowned.
Barry sighed. "Saving the world from a time demon."
"A what?" Alura blinked.
"Yeah," Cisco winced. "It's a long story."

Well, I wonder what story we're heading full speed into now?
Just an epilogue left!
