Birthday

Chapter 15:

I woke up, trying to open my eyes but failing because of how heavy they were. I tried to groan in annoyance but my throat was to dry for that. I suddenly felt pressure beside me, my eyes shot open, but soon tried to shut again. I fluttered my eyes, feeling as if there were weights on them. But my eyes had been open enough to see the cheeky guy sitting beside of me, the light shinning in through the window made the blonde, brown and auburn all stand out from his hair.

“Goodmorning! Goodmorning!” John called out loudly, making me shudder with the thought of being awake. I groaned, not wanting to wake up, but then shuddered again with the thought of what else he’d try to do to get me to wake up.

“Should I get the water hose?” John asked and you could hear the smirk through his voice, which at the moment made me want to strangle him.

“I’M UP!!!!!!” I yelled, sitting up so fast, I almost fell off the bed.

“Oh, good. You’re up.” John said, as if he hadn’t been threatening to pour cold water on me and just walked in.

“What’s so good about that?” I asked in a sleepy voice, putting my head and back again the headboard.

“I’ll tell you.” John said with a smirk, that kind of made me want to run for my life.

“Oh, please enlighten me.” I said smiling, waking up more and more as we talked.

“Right now it’s just us here. Paul went to the studio to talk to Brian, Ringo went to visit his parents and George was either asleep or in the garden last time I checked.” John told me and I smiled to myself, knowing John must be up to something.

“Right. Well what were you planning on doing today then?” I ask him, curiosity wining the best of me.

“Ah right. Maybe we could go Christmas shopping, or America shopping or talk about things or even go hang out.” John said with a smile, revealing a side of him that I haven’t seen. Almost begging for a companion.

“Awh, Johnny boy of course I will.” I say in a fake country voice like the boy of my dreams just asked me out.

“Hey now, don’t make me start calling you Grace.” John says warningly, refering to my middle name which was actually Gracelyn.

“Whatever Winston.” I spoke, a big grin arching on my face.

“So would you like to talk before we leave?” I ask, my mood suddenly changing into a serious one, completely opposite of the tone I had mere seconds ago.

“Yeah, I suppose so.” he told me and I egged him on, with a look as if telling him to continue.

“I just don’t know how you do it. Paul and George. George and Paul. They both love you, ye know? Ye try to be fair to the both of them. Ye seem like ye love the bundle of them. Why doesn’t ‘nybody love me like that? Am I this unlovable?” John said, his voice cracking, like he was crying, but he tried hiding it behind his front. I suddenly pulled him to me, petting his hair like a kid and rubbing his back, trying to comfort him.

“John, you are not unlovable. I love you, the boys love you, your aunt loves you, so does Brian. A lot of people love and care about you. You’re just simply looking for love in the wrong places. You have to love yourself first, then let your friends and family love you, the people who you know won’t leave and then if you want a significant other, you let them love you. Love isn’t sex, or willingness, or money. John love is about caring someone enough, to put a part of you inside of them, like part of your being or soul. I decide not to chose between George and Paul because, I haven’t been in love and so far they have given me the same part, Paul maybe a little more by claiming me, but I haven’t been in love so how would I know what love is right?” I tell him, softly. The hiccups that had come with the hot tears running down into my shoulder both stopped, fast. He looked at me with cautious eyes, then they suddenly turned into understanding eyes. The hug he had just pulled away from, now came back but this time from him pulling me in.

“Ye love them both then?” John asked me, whispering in my ear.

“Maybe, who’s to say I know what love is? I’m skeptical about Paul.” I told him, admitting the final part slowly.

“Damn right ye should be. I am for yer soul. But if he does mess up, I’ll mess ‘em up.” John says, lightheartedly, but still in a serious way, I couldn’t help but smile at this.

“Okay John.” I say rolling my eyes at him and we let go of each other.

“I was serious though about going out today, I cannot stand being here for much longer.” John says laughing, and pretending like he was a prisoner.

“Well I have to get changed first so get out!” I tell him, laughing a bit.

“I could help you with that.” John tells me with a huge smirk on his face and his eyebrows up,

“Do you know how many times I’ve been walked in on while changing?! Maybe I should just leave the door open, so you guys don’t have to bother even trying. Did you guys disable the lock or something for this porpouse???” I ask, laughing at myself and him.

“Hey! If that’s what you want to do I’m all for it, I do not think anyone would mind.” John tells me putting his hands up and back away towards the closed door.

“SHUT THE DOOR LENNON!!!!” I yell at him, as he walks away leaving the door open.

“I thought you sai-” John begins, coming back to the door.

“I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!!!!” I said rolling my eyes, all he did was laugh and close the door. God fucking John. I changed quickly into a pair of dark jeans, and a blue flowy Henley , that I added a black/gray cardigan with and black Mary Janes. I looked in the mirror and smiled, knowing that John would be proud to be seen with me, remembering the only other time I wore these jeans and his comment about my butt looking “phenomenal”. I walked out and into the rooms, I went to John’s and I saw him standing there, he had no shirt on but was looking at two.

“Which one? The yellow one?” He said not bothering to turn around but knowing I was there.

“If you let me call you lemon.” I said to him and laughed at myself. I’m hilarious I thought.

“YOU CANT CALL ME LEMON!!!!!” John shouted with wide eyes as he turned around and stared me down.

“OH REALLY?!?! WHY NOT?!” I shouted back trying not to laugh, using the same tone he had just used.

“YE REALLY WANNA KNOW?!” He asked laughing

“I SURE DO!!!!!”

“Okay, well this one night, I was banging some girl. We were in Germany right, and I had just told her my name but while we were doing it she screamed ’OH YEAH LEMON’ after I finished I laughed my ass off and she left.” John told me laughing and making sex noises while impersonating her, I scrunched up my nose at the thought and then started busting out laugh.

“That’s fucking horrible!” I exclaimed, while laughing.

“She thought so too.” He said and before I could say anything he continued “So have you and Paul necked yet?” John asked moving his eyebrows up and down with a smirk on his face.

“No!” I told him quickly, my face going red.

“Oh, so you and George?” He asked

“No!” I told him again, my face going as red as a tomato, I suddenly has a strong urge to push Lennon to the ground and hit him.

“Ye know, I always thought you’d end up necking me first.” John said with another smirk, and just as my face had started going back to normal it started back even worse.

“John, if you dare get into this whole mess, I will leave. This house and never come back.” I tell him jokingly.

“Everyone liked ye, y’know. Even me and Ringo. Ringo has another girl on her mind though and the boys seemed more into a relationship then I did and anyways they acted like guard dogs fighting over you.” John said his voice slipping into seriousness.

“Well I- I-um. Don’t know what to say.” I tell him being serious now, but suddenly a grin appeared on John’s face.

“what?” I asked him, reffering to his smile.

“You’re adorable when you don’t know what to say.” he told me, making my whole face blush “and when you blush” DAMNIT YOU GIT!!!

“Lennon, the green one.” I tell him picking up the green button up and throwing it at his face, but he caught it in time before it hurt him.

“Right Ms. Bossy” John tells me, grabbing at my rib.

“Stop it you git!!!” I yell, hitting him on the head lightly.

“Whatever Grace.” He said, I groaned and walked out of the room and into the kitchen.

“Morning Em.” I heard a voice call as, my back was turned at the kettle. I turned around and met his sleepy eyes, and sleepy grin.

“Goodmorning George.” I said with a smile, which he then proceeded to hug me, I tensed up not knowing what it was, then I remembered, it’s a hug, it’s a greeting, like good morning and I hugged him back softly.

“How’d you sleep?” George asked me with a sly grin on his face, knowingly doing it on purpose.

“Fine, after a while.” I told him, and his grin just grew bigger knowing I meant after he came in.

“Hm, that’s great. I slept okay. Had a dream about this gir-” George said, but stopped once I pulled my hand up to his neck.

“Go on.” I told him, and I looked under the caller of his shirt, pulling out the moon necklace, I played with it inbetween my fingers, “Aren’t you going to finish?” I asked him, but I could feel his heart speed up in a way that told me he couldn’t think of words, which I had know the feeling very much so. Suddenly the kettle, sent out a high pitched scream. I turned around, instead of leaning on the stove which I had been doing, and turned it off searching for cups and the pot.

“Yeah, the girl of my dreams. But she keeps me up, so I can’t sleep.” George whispered softly and huskily in my ear sending shivers down my spine, feeling his breathe on my neck. But it suddenly disappeared and as if on cue, John walked in.

“Mornin’ Georgie” John said, walking to the fridge where he stood looking for food and messed up his already bad bed head.

“ ‘Ello Johnny boy.” He told him, barely looking up from the food.

“Have you heard Emily’s new nickname?” John asked George and looked at me with an evil grin.

“No, but please indulge me.” George told him, with a fake proper accent and a big smile.

“Grace, Gracie, Gracelyn, which ever you like the best.” John told George and I shuddered, God, do those names bring back some memories.

“Oh yes and we need to call John either Winnie, Winston or Lemon. Please oh please!” I told George before either of them could say anything about the names.

“No need for begging.” John told me with a wink. I just groaned at him.

“Why’re ye all dressed up?” George asked, and I couldn’t tell who the question was pointed to but John answered.

“We’re gonnna get Christmas presents.” John said, his eyes lighting up like a kids, his voice doing the same.

“Mind if I tag along?” George asked suddenly.

“I’m fine with it ask Emily too though.” John said, like I wasn’t in the room at all, I just stood there sipping my tea.

“Ye mind?” George asked.

“Not at all.” I told him and a big smile spread across his face.

“Alri, I’ll be gettinn’ ready then.” George said and walked out of the kitchen, to go change.

“ILL MAKE BREAKFAST” I called to George and turned towards the fridge.

“A day with you, an me, an George. This should be interesting.” John said as I took out the bacon, bread and a carton of eggs.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked, while looking for a pan.

“I dunno. Yer gonna have to tell me.” John told me, I put butter in the pan, and turned around to look at him.

“Well, he can help me picked out your Christmas present.” I told him, then turned back around, laying the bacon in the pan.

“Ah, then you can’t pick out his present.” John told me, as I reached out for a plastic cup, then cracked the eggs in them.

“You can distract him for me, can’t you?” I asked him and he laughed.

“Ah yes, of course.” He said to me and before he could say anything else I began.

“Do you want bread or toast? Scramble or sunny side up?” I asked, flipping the bacon that was about to be done, George walked in as I said that. The boys seemed to know their cues.

“You don’t need to toast it, but sunny side up.” John told me.

“How ‘bout you?” I asked, opening the bread, taking some out for me, George and John.

“Same as John will be fine.” George told me and I nodded as I began to take off the bacon and put the eggs on.

“Come on boys.” I tell George and John laughing who were fighting over the tea. I took the plates over to the tables. I put John and George together and I sat across from them.

“Why’d ye put me with this arse.” George asked me with a smile, laughing until John thumped him and they started fighting even more.

“Oh my God. Stop it you guys! I feel like a mother, none of you guys are commin’ if ya keep acting like this.” I told them and that made them stop in their tracks and just shut up all together.

“Are we almost ready?” I asked annoyed since I had already eaten, cleaned the dishes, redone my hair and I now wait in the living room.

“Georgie is putting a shirt on.” John told me coming out of the bathroom.

“Tell him I suggest periwinkle” I said groaning. George was taking longer than a girl, not wanting to wear a dark blue because it would “clash” with my light blue and “definitely” not wanting to wear red because red would clash with the green John was wearing. John had yelled out to George my suggestion and he yelled back an okay.

“Y’know by the time we leave, it’ll be new years. He never takes this long.” I told John and he just snickered at me.

“What’s so funny Lennon?” I asked, sort of glaring at John.

“George takes longer than you do!” John said, finially busting out with laughter.

“I know! It’s terrible!” I said and laughed along with John, it wasn’t even 12 yet, I don’t know why I’m stressing.

“I can smoke in here right?” I asked, making sure, not wanting him to get mad at me for smoking inside.

“Of course. As long as ye let me have one.” John told me and I nodded my head, taking a pack out, John came up beside me.

“I’ve gotta light.” John said as I looked around for matches and lit his and my cigarette with his lighter.

“Thanks” I tell him, blowing out a cloud of smoke.

“George are you ready?” I called out, after I had finished my cigarette and stubbed it out in the glass ashtray. I got up from the couch, then heard a loud crashing sound and George jumping down from the last few steps.

“Ready!!!” George called out happily with a big smile

“What wa-” I began to say but was all to soon cut off.

“Alrighty then, lets go!” John said joining George by the door, I quickly followed and sighed a happy sigh. I couldn’t seem to get a small off of my face, so I told John and George that I’d drive. We all got in, me in the front, John beside me, and George in the middle seat in the back pouting. I headed the way John directed me in, which was this small part of town, that looked like it was made for shopping yet it barely had any houses and wasn’t crowded at all. George told me that it was newly made up and in less than 3 years it’d be the next big thing. Buddy Holly was turned on thanks to John and we all danced in our seats and sang along, I of course felt tone death compared to them, but they kept insisting on me being a good singer.

“Where to first?” I ask the boys, as we park the car and get out.

“Come ‘ed, we can go to the middle and I’ll show ye the stores.” John told me and George. I guessed John came here often, but we followed him to the middle and it was just grand! Little stores, that looked like cabins or folk housing, the streets were cobble stone, but paved and with amazing colors in them and sitting areas, with gardens and benches, it was breathe taking.

“Good, this is beautiful.” I said turning around and looking, taking it all in.

“Fooking awesome, right?” John said and laughed. George kind of just stared, like I had, taking it all in.

“Come on, chaps, lets get goin’. The stores are even more awesome.” John told us and then added in “if ye can believe that” he said grinning and we followed him throughout the main part. We all ended up splitting up at the middle part, and joining back together. I picked up some gifts for the boys, but I hid them in the car before the could get to them. After almost four hours of shopping, we went into a little café in the village.

“I see yer pickin’ up gifts.” John said with a sly grin, as if saying he knows what I got him and everyone else.

“I’ve finished for today” I said back nonchalantly.

“Thank god. My feet hurt so bad, I’m incredibly tired, pickin’ ever’ones gifts ‘nd all.” George said, almost in a whinny voice at first then changing into a mysterious one.

After we ate, it was about to be 5, which we had an almost 2 hour drive ahead of us.

“I’m not driving, I will fall asleep.” I stated, getting in the back seat.

“I was planin’ on takin’ a nap meself.” George said, to which I didn’t reply just opened the car door open as to tell him to get in.

“Uh oh, I don’t wanna tell Maca ye two are sleeping together.” John said, as he got into the drivers seat, flashing his smirk in the rearview mirror.

“God, John. It’s not like I’m neckin’ Gracie.” George said and then laughed as I groaned at him for calling me Gracie.

“Do not call me that or I will, drive and fall asleep and cause you all to crash!” I told them, warningly and then laughed with them. I laid down in the back though, George told me to sit my head on his lap and I did, seeming it’d be the only comfortable positioning. I passed out within seconds, feeling George’s calming breath, coming from his diaphragm an old breathing technique for singers, to make their air last longer.

“Emily, wake up.” George whispered to me and shaking me a bit, I could hear Elvis playing softly in the background and the sound of John singing.

“A-are we home?” I ask opening my eyes, and looking up, to a looking down George, my eyes shut back, not used to the light and I opened them slowly, as I sat up from my laying position and into the back cushion of the seat.

“We’re about to be.” George told me

“Ah, good yer up, ye went out like a light.” John tells me, looking up to the mirror at me and then back at the road, a content look across my face.

“And that’s why they say shop till ya drop!” I said in an almost polish sounding voice. I looked around outside, it looked as if it was going to rain bad.

“A storms a brewin’” John said, like he was reading my mind, and I just nodded. The car went silent and we all just sat there, watching the world drive by, listening to Elvis.

Once we put the car into park I suddenly remembered the gifts I has bought today. A big grin flew across my face and I yelled at the boys to stay in the car. I jumped out and went to the trunk, pulling out the bags that I had known I bought and running to the door. I messed with my key for awhile, trying to unlock the door and once George and John got close enough to see me, I finally pushed the door open. I laughed at myself as I almost fell, but regained myself, to running to my bedroom, jumping over a table on the way that I was sure would kill me but I made it over!

“Emily what the hell ye doin’?” Ringo asked, as I rushed past him, still laughing. I ran into my room and shut the door tight behind me. I placed the bags into the closet, making sure that nothing I had bought would get messed up and then placed a blanket over it, so they wouldn’t see it even though it was in the very back. John’s very snoopy, I’ll have to find better hiding place later, I thought as I closed my closet door quietly.

I went into the bathroom, used it, calmed down a bit and brushed my fingers through my hair. I decided to be sneaky and try to scare the boys. I tiptoed over to my door and barely turned the doorknob, I opened it up quickly knowing it make a loud creaking noise if I did it slowly. When I opened it, I was astounded by what I saw. Ringo with his ear up against the door!

“Hey! No peaking! Or sneaking! Get off the floor Ringo!” I said/yelled at him while laughing though and he just gave me his puppy dog eyes.

“I-I- um- I- JOHN TOLD ME TOO!” Ringo told me, stumbling so much that I knew he was lying.

“Oh! That reminds me!” I say, remembering that I had bought John a birthday present. I went back into my room, making sure to shut and lock the door and bringing out John’s present that had already been wrapped in shinny blue and silver paper. This time, I opened the door not trying to be sneaky and as I flung it open I quickly saw Ringo running towards the kitchen, like a frighten kitten.

“I SAW THAT RINGO!!!!!!” I yelled towards him, and speed walking that way too.

“I promise I didn’t see anything!!” Ringo shouted with his hands up in defense as I opened the swingy door.

“Hey! What’s behind your back! Don’t torture me, please!” Ringo cried out, but still laughing and dropping to the floor on his knees.

“Gettinn’ on ye knees, isn’t torture for either one of ye.” John said, with a cocky smirk plastered on his face. I just rolled my eyes at him and then continued on.

“Ah! Lennon! Just the creeper I wanted to see!” I exclaimed and his face brightened up a bit.

“John Lennon, at your service ma’am.” John said in a little accent, then doing a bow, to make look like he was a servant.

“Happy Birthday!” I tell him with a big smile on my face practically shoving the gift in his face. His face brightened up at the paper and then he ripped through it like a child again, agh these moments were so precious.

“Because you’re as sweet as honey.” I said noticing his distraught face as he pulled out the first gift, which just happened to be Jack Daniels: Honey flavored. A big smile tore across his face. “Write about me, about us.” I added in as he took out the Journal and expensive fountain that I had also bought for him.

“Ah I love it Emily. Thank you so so much.” John cooed, whispering in my ear as he engulfed me into a tight huge.

“You’re welcome.” I breathed out “Now do me a favor and don’t kill me.” I told him, which to he chuckled and let me go.

“Thank you really.” John said again, blushing slightly.

“Sh, sh. No problem, thank you for my gift and well living here.” I told him and he laughed at me, then Ringo joined us from off his knees.

“So you won’t be killing me?” Ringo asked with hopeful eyes, making john laugh.

“Ah, not today maybe later.” I told Ringo and ruffled his hair, he just laughed at me and give me a quick hug. “So tea?” I asked, to which Ringo and John shook their heads ‘yes’ at me. As I poured the hot water, Paul and George came busting in.

“Honey I’m home.” George said, with a big grin on his face.

“Oh! Thank God darling I was starting to get worried about you! Just in time for tea I suppose!” Ringo said in a happy tone, just like a wife would, even doing his voice in an accent and putting it up an octave. I kept my laugh in my throat as it shook my whole body.

“Oh, I was just with Paulie. What’s for dinner babe?” George asked, laughing himself and we all laughed, the whole kitchen enveloping in laughter.

“Hey love.” Paul said coming up behind me, as I got the cups out, everyone else involved in laughter.

“Hi babe.” I said and kissing him lightly on the cheek. “How’d it go with Brian?” I asked him turning back towards the tea.

“Ah, swell! We just happened to be talking about Christmas and the big tour to America!” Paul announced to the group, no longer in his hushed whispers.

“Well that’s great, only good news I suppose.” John said lightheartedly.

“Of course, of course.” Paul told him with a big smile, proud that he had everything straightened out.

“Well thank God for that.” George said and everyone mumbled agreements. “Is the tea ready?” George asked, to which I had noticed I had been starring there admiring the boys and how any girl would be dying to be in my place.

“I, uh yeah it’s ready. So to recognized the great news, I’ll be making dinner. Whatever your little hearts go out for.” I told them and I saw a smirk go across John’s face and I shudder at the thought of what he was going to say. “Wait! No! I’ll actually be cooking, my favorite. My grandmother taught me her Italian ways once or twice and I’m not too bad if I do say so myself” I tell them and I suddenly know what I’ll cook for them.

“God, I love your cooking. Thank you.” George told me, acting as if he was praying.

“I only have one question.” I tell them.

“Hide you guys! she’s ’bout to ask for help!” Ringo said and ducked behind the counter, causing me to laugh before I remembered what I was going to ask.

“No. I was going to ask shrimp or chicken.”

“Why not both?” Paul told me, making John snicker as he got his big chance for a funny comeback.

“Ah, we all know how much you like your meat.” John said laughing, hard. George and Ringo started laughing but quiet suddenly getting dirty looks from Paul.

“Alright Lennon out of the kitchen.” I told him, sounding suddenly like a mother, pushing him out of the door slightly.

“Do chicken” Ringo told me and I nodded my head, as I had already decided to use that.

“All of you out.” I told him, pushing Ringo out, then George with the tea. “Paul I know you’re in here somewhere.” I called out seeing as I hadn’t pushed him out yet and the only other way out was the outside, but it was horribly snowy out now, with the temperature dropping fast I knew he wasn’t out there.

“Come on Paulie. You can’t hide from me forever.” Once I said that turning near the tables is when he jumped out, yelling lightly and hopping around before pulling me into a large hug, then kissing my lips again.

“I’ve missed you. All day long.” Paul told me lightly, as he pulled away, I wrapped my arms around his neck and put our foreheads together.

“I’ve missed you too.” I tell him with a smile, before our lips met each other again, he pushed farther into me before I pulled away.

“You wish.” I told him, my own smirk covering my face “Yet I’ve got to make dinner, so you’ll have to leave.” I told him and pulled him to the door, before giving him a small peck on the lips and pushing him out of the way, back into the living room.

I did the whole ordeal. I used the thick pasta my grandma said that went well with this, this put the chicken into the pan cooking it lightly, before pouring Grandmas secret cheese sauce over it, which didn’t look, taste, or even feel like cheese, but almost a white wine sauce. I added it all together and broccoli on the side. Putting the food on the nice plate the boys owned, which couldn’t have been used more than once, I admired how nice and fancy it looked, which pleased me, seeing as if it could have been found in a restaurant we eat at during press conferences or out with Brian. So I set the plates around the table, took out drinks and then called them in here.

“GEORGE PAUL RINGO JOHN!!!!” I called out, almost straining my voice, but I was way to tired to even go in there, they all still came rushing in, George first as always.

“Is it ready?!?” George piped out in the most adorable voice, but with wide eyes, as if he’ll eat you.

“Yes, of course.” I told him as the other boys came in seconds later, we all sitting down at the table.

All you could hear was the sound of silverware on plates, I was only halfway done, but George was almost all the way done, with the other 3 boys close behind.

“So I take that you like it?” I say, meeting George’s stare.

“It’s bloody amazing.” Ringo told me, and George who had just stuffed another spoonful into his mouth just moaned, I blush suddenly crept to my face.

“Everythin’ she does is amazinn’” Paul added in lifting up his drink as to say ‘cheers’

“Yeah, what can’t ye do little girl.” John added in after Paul

“I can’t dance. Well I can formally but not the kind of dancing you’d do at clubs or when you perform.” I admitted, my face slowly turning the color of blood, as all of it rushed to my cheeks.

“Then I declare we’ll teach ye!” Paul said with a giddy smile on his face.

“Yeah right Paul, you’d bruise the hell outa the poor girl’s feet!” Ringo exclaimed with a smile, that made Paul’s go down.

“It’s true.” John mumbled and I couldn’t help but laugh a little.

“No! That’s only formal danciinnnn’” Paul said, trying to defend himself but the blush on his cheeks would not help him lie at all.

“We’ll all teach her what we know.” George said with a reassuring smile to me and the boys.

“Which isn’t much.” Ringo told me, seriously.

“But hell it’s something. Tomorrow then.” John said with a giddy smile on his face. We all finished eating, they kept having seconds and I just laughed at them. The night slowly died down, both George and John from our trip for gifts clocked out early. I stayed awake, feeling okay from the nap I had taken earlier. Ringo, Paul and I went into the bandroom, and talked, smoked and listened to music before Ringo crept to bed, leaving me and Paul all alone.

“Come here love.” Paul said and pulled me over to his lap.

“I’m here.” I told him laughing a bit and he kissed me cheek softly, so I turned my head so he’ll be kissing my lips.

“How was your day with George and John?” He asked me suddenly, pulling away from my grasp

“Fine. Why?” I asked nervous and rethinking, trying to remember what happened that would seem suspicious.

“Nothing. I’m just glad you all are getting a long. John can be an asshole sometimes.” He said nonchalantly.

“Don’t I know it.” I told him and then smiled “But..” I trailed off, grabbing his collar and kissing him, it wasn’t a rough kiss although it seemed like it would be, and Paul had prepared for that. So taken back by the gentleness he pushed down harder on me, as I let go of his collar and pulled my hands to his soft hair. Shocks going through my whole body.

“Lets go to bed.” I told him after we pulled away, he nodded his head and started to get up.

“Aren’t ye cominn’ love?” He asked me, softly, I had noticed my eyes fluttered close.

“I’m too tired. Carry me?” I asked, keeping my eyes closed but stretching out my arms. He picked me up bridal style and I rested my head into his chest. I fell asleep on the way there, not remembering how I even gotten into bed.

**************************************

(The next morning)

I woke up at 7am. ‘Seven!’ I thought to myself ‘That’s way way to early to be humanly possible’ but it was I guess. I tried to snuggle into the warmth of Paul who looked so angelic as he slept, with his arm wrapped lazily around my waist. Paul wasn’t up, he wouldn’t be up for a while, I knew this of him. I tried to go back to sleep but I failed, I cringed knowing how long today would feel, but my bladder was full and I couldn’t escape that.

I slowly slid out of Paul’s grip and then out of bed, bring some old jeans and a sweater with me to the bathroom. I used it, changed and then brushed through my long hair, watching the time tick by. Then my stomach grumbled, I thought I might as well make break fast. As I stepped into the hallway I heard singing, but who’s I thought. I followed the lovely sound to the band room.

“I've got a chip on my shoulder that's bigger than my feet

I can't talk to people that I meet

And if I could see you now

I'd try to make you sad somehow

But I can't so I cry instead” The voice cried out and I knew instantly it was John, he stopped playing and quickly put the guitar down.

“I fucking see you there damn it.” He said, his voice sounding furious, unlike the sadness that had been drowning in it seconds ago.

“I-I-’m sorry.” I told him, frightened, even shaking a bit at the thought of him hurting me, his expression softened quickly.

“Oh, no. I thought you were one of the boys.” John told me and walked over lifting my chin as he spoke.

“Th-that was a pretty song.” I told him “but you shouldn’t cry.” I looked down ay my feet quickly not knowing how he’d respond to this. John didn’t say anything, he just wrapped me in a hug, he didn’t cry though, but I knew he needed the hug.

“I’m gonna go make breakfast.” I told him and a big grin appeared across his faces.

“Let me help!” I said excitedly, so much it almost scared me, I was taken back about how much he wanted to help.

“Of course.” I told him and with that his eyes brightened even more, he grabbed my hand and literally pulled me down the hall and into the kitchen.

“Wow, look at it.” I told john as we got into the kitchen looking out into the window.

“Ah! Liverpool is covered in more snow then I’ve seen in years!” John examined and I smiled

“God, I love the snow.” Then the phone started ringing.

“I’ll get that.” John told me, running towards the ringing phone, so no one would wake up. I started taking out the pancake mix, water and eggs. Once I took out the pan John came printing back into the kitchen.

“Em, someone’s on the phone for you.” John said nodding towards the phone, a million things crossed my mind, why would someone be calling this early? Is it my grandpa? I ran to the phone, my mind flooding.

“H-Hello?” I asked into the phone, my voice stumbling as I held my breathe.

“Emily! Oh my God can you believe all this snow?! My freaking train got canceled!” Dona said, and I breathed a sigh of relief, glad to hear my best friends lighthearted voice.

“Dona! Oh God, I forget the date you’d be coming! So when will it be rescheduled?” I asked excited to see my best friend again.

“Sometime tomorrow. But dear, you must introduce me to that John boy, charming as ever.” She said, and I could hear her smile through the phone, even her little giggle.

“Awh, I will.” I promised “But I have to finishing making breakfast, okay?” I tell her

“Yep, those boys I know, I know” Dona said and I could hear her obvious smirk.

“Shut up! Bye. I love you” Before I could finish John yelled tell her I said bye “John said bye too!” I called out before she hung up.

“I love you too. Tell him I said bye.” She said and I hung up the phone.

“What’d she say?” John asked, right as I got off the phone.

“That she’ll see us tomorrow, probably. And that you’re very charming and goodbye.” I told him, looking at his swooned face.

“She sounds nice.” He told me and I smiled at him.

“Is the famous John Lennon, obsessing over a girl.” I asked, in a teasing voice, smirking at him.

“NO!” John said and I just rolled my eyes.

“Come on John.”

“No”

“Jo-”

“NO!!”

“Yes”

“Nope!”

“Okay, whatever you say.”

“Lemme think about it.”

“John-”

“EMILY STOOOOOP PLEAASE” John yelled at me embarrassed

“I was just going to ask you to get the bacon out….” I told him trailing off and his ears turned a pink color.

“Oh, yeah. Sure I will.” he said and passed me the bacon.

************************************************

“BREAKFAST IS READY!” I call out to the boys who were already awake, they came rushing in.

“Thank God for food.” George said “And Emily.” He added, before hugging me like a little kid.

“Today has to be a lazy day.” Ringo moaned from the corner of the room.

“Yes, I think we all agree! Unplug the phone!” Paul said putting his arm around me, though he helped me carry the food to the table. The rest of the day we went upstairs, all of us, and watched movies, we all cuddled up on the couch, even though Ringo got mad when George was sitting beside of John making us all laugh. It was awesome, especially since the promised we’d go sledding and learn how to dance some other day.
