Chapter 7 - The Start Of Her Devastation
He stepped closer to her, grabbing her arms lightly. She shivered under his touch, looking up at him. He slowly slided his hand down her right arm to entwin their hands. She gasped as the other hand of his grabs her bare waist.
She was clad in a net white saree, wearing a little make up. It was almost mid night when she had called him at her place. It had been a month since they became friends and now when she felt more than that, she had called him to finally let it out.
His eyes darkened as he whispered,"Zoya." She hummed in response, her eyes closed.
He stepped back, leaving her. "You had to say something." He spoke, inhaling sharply.
She sighed, biting the inside of her cheek.
"Um.. Its that. I... I wanted..." She squeezed her eyes before continuing,"I love you Mr Rohan Hooda."
To say he wasn't startled would be a huge lie. He was left baffled. All this while, she had it in her mind that may be it was unrequited. May he didn't love her.
He opened her mouth to say something but words failed. She slowly muttered,"Mr Hooda, Hold me please."
She expectantly looked at him as she saw him coming towards her. Stopping an inch before her, he slowly wrapped his arms around her waist, caressing her hair.
She squeezed her eyes before holding him tight. This was enough. She had his answer. The feelings were mutual. And she couldn't be more happy.
"I love you so much. I cannot tell you what this is. But i love you since the time i landed my eyes on you. I really love you." She whispered, near his ear.
He had his face straight. He wasn't happy. He knew this had to come, but he didn't expect it this soon. It was just a month since they met and there she was, confessing her senseless love for this selfish man.
He plastered a fake smile on his face and pulled back. To his surprise, she leaned in and pressed her lips against his.
In that exact moment, he forgot to blink. But slowly, he began responding. He wasn't himself there. Somewhere, he was loosing his own self in her. He could bet he never felt this with Pooja. There was a strange sensation.
He convinced himself that he responded just because he wanted to show her the fake love that he had for her. Deep inside, he knew that he kissed her back, because he wanted to.
Slowly pulling back, he saw her eyes, teary. He rubbed those tears off.
"I love you too." He lied, once again. She was nothing but truth, so did she deserve to be lied to? No! But he took Love as a game, a game of lies and betrayals. Because he knew he wasn't the one to fall in love. Little did he know, how wrong he was!
"I promise to be there by your side in every hurdle of your life. I will always be there in every bump of your life. I promise to love you forever." He confidently kept on lying. She couldn't see the greed in his eyes. She was just an innocent girl who fell for his trap. Oh, such a monster he was!
"Thank you for coming in my life and making it better." She hugged him as he couldn't wipe off the smirk. He didn't pity her at all. All he dreamt for was a bright future with great fame and loads of money.
She kept her head on his chest, as he wounded his arms around her shoulders.

"Enough! You are not going anywhere. Get that straight to your head." Aditya shouted, his eyes red.
"Why the hell is that so?" Pooja asked, enraged.
"Because I don't want you to. Got it?" He again yelled, kicking the piece of wood.
"Stop being lame Adi. I will go! I can't be missing my best friend's wedding. Got it?" Pooja repeated his tone.
He glared at her before leaving the place.
###
"Yes. Kidnap her. Take her to the Grand Mansion of yours. And be careful! No violence. I don't want to see a single mark on her body. Also, she shouldn't know that I am the one behind all this. Clear?" Aditya ordered the goons as they surrounded the house.
His phone rang and Zoya's name flashed on the screen. He ended the call and texted her,"I will be there on time."
He hid behind the large tree and observed as Pooja walked out of the house. As soon as she stepped near the car that was sent by Zoya, the goons attacked her and took her away ignoring her screams. The driver inside Zoya's car was already fainted.
He rubbed his hands off and went to Zoya's place.
As soon as he entered, he saw a glow of happiness on everyone's face that included Zoya's family. There were no media at all as Aditya had wanted. It was a complete private venue with just some close relatives and friends of Zoya.
He obviously didn't want anyone to know about him being Aditya, Pooja's husband. That was the only reason he planned the kidnapping of Pooja. Also, he had told Zoya that none of his family or friends would be joining him on his great day, just because they didn't approve the bride. May be, his excuse worked and she assumed that just because she was a star, they wouldn't approve her for their poor son. But, that really never mattered for her.
He walked down the stairs and sat on the mandap. She cascaded down the stairs soon, looking as pretty as ever, wearing a red lehenga with a golden touch. It didn't affect him though he forced a smile. She was so engrossed in his staring him that she didn't even pay attention to any guests.
She came and sat beside him, gazing around when she realized, she couldn't find the one face she looked for. Pooja!
"Pooja isn't here Aditya." She looked at him, all worried. She couldn't be marrying without her best friend being there. Already, she wasn't there on Pooja's marraige.
"She must be coming. Come on Zoya, you cannot delay your own wedding just because she isn't here. We have less time." He spoke, irritated.
"But..." She was cut off by him,"Shhhh! She will come." He sort of assured her before smiling.
They took the vows and he filled her hairline with vermillion. She had tears in her eyes which he ignored. As soon as he tied the mangalsutra around her neck, she felt something she couldn't name. So, she just named it as 'Pure Love' because that was all she could do. She was now marked as his. Little did she know, she was never his.
