What Happened?

{About a month later}

Sam had been regularly working four jobs now.

The bar.

Restaurant.

The convenience store.

And now, prostitution.

Is it really prostitution? I mean... I don't have a pimp. But, I am making money in exchange for sex, so I guess?

He hadn't told anyone about his new job, and he never would. He didn't want his family to see him differently.

He had to admit though, he did sort of enjoy this job. He was making a lot of money in one night, (more than he ever would at his other jobs), and all he had to do was act as if he was having the time of his life.

But, lately he's been feeling... Off. He's been throwing up sometimes in the morning and he easily gets fatigued.

He didn't know what was going on, but blew it off as an oncoming stomach virus, so he's been taking medicine to try to prevent it.

He was getting dressed to go to work at the bar, when he got a text from Gabriel.

Can u bring me to work, plz?
Gabe

Yea. I'm getting dressed now. I'll be there soon. Your house or somewhere else?
Sam

My house.
Gabe

K. Be there soon.
Sam

K. Thanks.
Gabe

Sam put down his phone and finished getting dressed. He was confused as to why Gabe needed to be picked up, but he let it go for now.

He left the house after grabbing his stuff and hopped into his car and started driving. He had picked up Gabe before, so he knew where to go.

When he got to Gabe's house, he got out the car and went up to the door. He knocked a few times, then waited.

The door opened and Gabe appeared, holding his left cheek. "Oh, hey Sam... I didn't think you would be here so soon..."

Sam furrowed his eyebrows. "What's wrong, Gabe?"

"I... Come in..."

Gabe let Sam inside and closed the door behind him.

"Gabe, what's going on?" Sam asked softly.

Gabe sighed. "Remember I told you about Jake?"

"Yeah, your boyfriend. What about him?"

"Well... He has issues I didn't know about, and..." With a sigh, Gabe dropped his hand.

Sam gasped at the purple and blue bruise on his cheek. "He did that?!"

"Y-Yeah..."

"Where is he now?! I'll whip his fuckin ass!"

"Sam, calm down... I don't know where he went in all honesty. He just took my car and left.."

Sam opened his mouth to speak, but got cut off by the front door opening.

A man with blue eyes, dark hair, and a trenchcoat walked through the front door. "Gabriel, I got everything-" he paused when he saw Sam. "Is that-"

"No... no, Cas. That's not him. This is my friend, Sam. Sam, this is my brother, Cas."

Sam and Cas greeted each other and shook hands, before returning to the task at hand.

"I didn't know what to buy, so I just picked up stuff," Cas said as he set a bag down on the coffee table.

Gabe shrugged lightly. "I wouldn't know either. Sam, do you know how to use makeup?"

"Yes, I do."

Cas looked at Sam with his eyebrows raised. "You do?"

Sam nodded. "Mhm. I had a girlfriend whose makeup I would do for fun," he smiled a bit at the thought of Jess.

Cas nodded lightly. He looked Sam over before looking back at Gabriel.

Sam soon got to work, helping Gabe cover up the bruise on his face. When he finished, Gabe hugged him tightly.

"Thank you so much, Sam."

"You're welcome, Gabe. Are you sure you want to go to work still?"

Gabe nodded. "Yeah. I still want to go. Let me go get my stuff real quick." He let go of Sam and hurried upstairs.

Cas and Sam sat in silence, waiting for Gabe to come back down. It surprisingly was a comfortable silence, not awkward. They talked very little, learning each other's jobs, ages, and such.

Sam leaned that Cas was a maid. He cleaned and everything and for extra money, he would babysit or cook for the people.

Gabe came downstairs and smiled lightly. "I'm ready when you are, Sam."

"Alrighty," Sam said as he stood from the couch. "Nice meeting you, Cas." He held out his hand to him with a smile.

Cas smiled back and gently shook his hand. "Nice meeting you too, Sam."

They let go of each other's hands, but kept smiling at each other for a couple seconds.

"Cas, are you staying?" Gabe asked his brother, ignoring all the eye-fucking they were doing.

"Not for long. I have to go to work soon."

Gabe nodded. "Alright. I'll see you later. Bye Cas."

"Goodbye Gabe. Bye Sam."

"Bye Cas."

Gabe and Sam left and got into Sam's car and drove off to the bar.
