The next morning came so fast, it startled Sam. His mind immediately drifted back to what had happened the night before.

When the cops had got there, they found out what happened with Sam, Cas, and Fergus. They had started taking statements, starting with Fergus first.

Fergus -who had finally woken up just as the cops got there- claimed that it was all a mistake. That he didn't mean what he had done.

Needless to say: Cas, Dean, and Gabe did not like that one bit.

They all started yelling things at Fergus, causing Sam to have to cover Devon's ears and the cops threatening to arrest them all of they weren't quiet and calmed.

But, gladly, the cops didn't listen to anything that Fergus had said. They put him in handcuffs and shoved him in the police cruiser. They went back and told the others about how this wasn't the first time he's done something like that.

According to them, he had a few charges of rape and aggravated assault against him.

Hearing those few words made Sam's blood run cold and a shiver go down his spine.

But, Sam didn't have to worry about him for a while. They assured him that he'd get some kind of charge against him.

Cas didn't go to jail that night, thankfully. The cops let him off with a warning. (He did get praised for protecting Sam though.)

When everyone had left the bar, and Cas and Sam were home, the two took a shower together, then laid in bed cuddling. They had fell asleep and everything was good.

Until Sam started having a nightmare.

He was moving around in Cas' arms, almost like he was trying to get away from him, and he was whimpering.

Cas had woke up and he quickly woke him up. Sam looked at Cas with his lip trembling. Cas pulled him close and whispered calming, loving things in his ear until he had fell back to sleep.

Cas stayed awake for a while, just watching Sam and holding him. When he could barely keep his eyes open, he pulled Sam close and snuggled up to him, muttering, "I'll protect you," as he drifted off to sleep.
