Act 36; I should probably text Kenma-

"Oh," Ren's eyes widened as she scanned over the thin piece of paper that she held. "What did you get, Yoshida-san?" Yamaguchi asked, waiting for the same answer as always. "I actually think I did good."

"Eh, seriously? Not the old 'I failed'? Just how good did you do?" He questioned, as he clutched his test tightly in front of him. Did she possibly get a higher mark than Tsukishima? "Honestly, I didn't do as great as you think I did, Yamaguchi-san..."

"There is no use in acting all modest now, Yoshi-su! Now we are all curious," Hiyori grinned, snatching the page from Ren's hands. Gathering around the brunette, everyone looked up at the mark at the top of the page. "Yoshi-su..." The shortest of them all spoke out, her hands trembling along with the test. Her expression darkened just like Sayaka's did as well.

"5 out of 38 - 13%... That's...-"

"Better than last time! I made it past the 10% mark, man! I'm happy," she took it back and sarcastically sighed. "You're not good with Japanese literature, are you?" Sayaka exhaled, looking at her 88% and Hiyori glanced at Yamaguchi's 83%.

"No... Not at all..."

"Makes sense. Yoshida obviously isn't smart enough to have all five subjects drilled into her head." A familiar blonde snickered, waving his 97% in the air.

Ren popped a vein, crumpling her paper and throwing it at his head, "even you're not perfect, Bakashima-kun..!"

"He is pretty close to perfect, though." Hiyori mumbled, gazing into her test. Ren's eye twitched, "there's no such thing as someone who is completely free of flaws-"

"It's Tsukki we are talking about!"

"Shut up, Yamaguchi," he pushed his glasses up and looked at the time on his phone. "Club activities, right?" Sayaka asked, taking a peek over at the time as well. "Mou- Yoshi-su should've joined our team~!"

Ren took a step back, giving an on edge expression, "me? No, no. You don't want me on the team." She started, relieved that they didn't pester upon the fact she literally failed her Japanese literature, "besides, I'm happy enough here on the boy's Volleyball team."

"Yoshida-san," Yamaguchi started to cry comical tears after he turned his head. "She wouldn't make it anyways. She isn't cut for Volleyball," the beanpole taunted, making Ren's face heat up. "H-how would you know that? It's not like you're-" she stopped and dropped her shoulders, "perfect..."

"See, you should just admit your defeat. Unnecessary words lead to unnecessary actions. Don't want to make the same mistake as last time, now, do we?" He smiled and pat Ren's head, walking past the girl. "W-wait, Tsukki!"

Hiyori stood there, her face red, hands ontop of her head and she felt the slight jealousy that filled her heart. Ren tried to fix her hair, and stuffed the evidence of her failure into her backpack. "See you, Hiyori, Sayaka."

"Later..." The taller of the two waved, as the shortest was still staring in awe.

--

"It's finally Friday!" Hinata turned his hands into fists and pumped them into the air. The others stayed quiet due to their fatigue, walking sluggish. The only one to seem okay had been Hinata, Kageyama following closely after that. "Speaking of which, how did you do on your Japanese literature test?"

"I did pretty well," Yamaguchi blurted out, comparing his mark to Ren's. "Cool, Yamaguchi! What did you get, Yoshida-chan?"

Ren scoffed, looking towards Tsukishima who had been walking silently. "Tsukishima-kun got a shocking 97%!"

"Why is that shocking?" He questioned, a little aggrivated. "Whoa-! I mean, what was your mark, Yoshida-chan?" She felt eyes boring right through the back of her head, and a shiver made its way into her body. "13%..."

"What was that? I don't think they heard you," the tallest blocker grinned mockingly. "13%- I got 5 out of 38..." Ren looked downwards, stopping in her tracks as she noticed no one had said a thing. "There, I said it. I'm not great at all... I'm sorry to disappoint you both." She felt her heart sink, and she frowned, clenching her fists.

"I don't know how to read Japanese. I don't know how to connect the Kanji together. I don't know..!" She took a breath, "I have to wait until the teacher reads it for me to write it down and memorize how it looks for science and social. When I go home and study, I have to search on the Japanese keyboard to match the two together and translate it. I'm hopeless-!"

"So what?" A determined voice shouted, "so what if you're bad at one thing?"

"Hinata..." Yamaguchi's eyes expanded as he looked towards the small figure. "Look around you, Yoshida-chan," he placed his hand on his chest, "someone like me who hadn't been gifted with height or intelligence couldn't possibly catch up to you."

She gave a sad smile, "but-"

"Are you stupid?" Tsukishima sighed, as he put his hands on his hips. "Listen, Yoshida. 13% is better than nothing- everyone has somewhere to start, and everyone needs somewhere to improve."

"Speaking of which, Kenma said he had a close foreign friend who had also failed their literature exam..."

Everyone's gazes averted to the ginger who took out his device, "Kenma?!" Ren's laughed a bit because she had to admit, that did cheer her up. "Thank you, everyone." Yamaguchi's cheeks turned a little pink, and he smiled due to her 'cuteness'. Hinata gave an ear to ear grin, and Kageyama nodded reassuringly.

"Oh, Kenma says that you should come to Tokyo..."

"Eh, why though?" Yamaguchi looked at Ren, who stared blankly. "He says that there is this tutor that happens to be extremely good, and it will only take a few days. Plus, it's free-"

"I'll do it!" Ren clutched her teeth together, "if this so called tutor can teach me how to read in a few days, I'll go."

"Oi, you know it's dangerous to go alone, right?" Tsukishima thew in, making everyone look at him. Yamaguchi's eyes lit up, "hey, why don't we all go as well?"

"Heh? You want me to spend a few days with this slovenly bunch?" Hinata grinned and jumped around, "why not? A Tokyo trip may bring us closer together! Plus, we can't leave Yoshida-chan alone." It irked Tsukishima to the core, but he placed his headphones on, and started to walk into the distance, "do what you want."

Yamaguchi smiled, looking at the three, "Tsukki is coming."

"Yes!" Hinata beamed, as Kageyama raised his hand politely, "I'm pretty sure I can come. What time will we meet up?"

Ren's expression softened, "tomorrow at 8 am should be good? We'll stay for a few days."

"Cool-! I'll tell Kenma." The ultimate decoy agreed, "I'll definetly come, Yoshida-chan!"

"That's good," she clasped her hands together, "I'll tell Tsukishima-kun and Yamaguchi-san."

--

"How cool!" Ren smiled as she stepped out of the train. "Do you mind keeping your bag to yourself?" Tsukishima clicked his tongue, following behind the young girl and her luggage. "Whoops, sorry," Ren grinned the widest she could.

"Amazing!!" Hinata bursted out the door and pointed towards a whole bunch of people, "they look so city-ish!" Kageyama smacked Hinata's hand down, dragging his bag on the floor, "it's disrespectful to point, dumbass."

"We have been here before, right?" Yamaguchi chuckled sweetly, "yet, you all seem so excited."

"That's because they're happy go lucky idiots." The tallest of the bunch checked the time on his phone. Ren shrugged off his attitude, and gripped the shirt from the outfit Hiyori had gotten for her. "I should probably text Kenma-"

"Yo, Shoyou," a very calm voice called, holding a POP device in one hand, and waved with the other. "Ah, Kenma!" The ginger dropped his bag and ran up to him, "we're here!"

"I can tell," he gave a soft smile, before yawning. "Hey, Yoshida."

"Oh, good morning, Kenma-san," Ren smiled slightly, holding her bags. "I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi, nice to make your acquaintance once again, Kenma-san."

"Hello," the cat like male nodded. "I'm Kageyama Tobio- Karasuno's setter." With that, Kenma nodded as well. "Tsukishima Kei," and with that, he nodded a last time. "I'm surprised your coach let you go on this trip on such short notice. Especially with the Inter-high preliminaries in two weeks."

"It took a lot of convincing..." Ren grinned, "but he agreed since coach Nekomata said we could practice with you guys."

"Is that right?" Kenma stated expressionless, since no one really knew. Ren agreed, and the rest stood around. "Anyways, Yoshida had been the one that needed help, correct?"

"I think shrimp and his King here also need help as well," Tsukishima smirked. Hinata stomped his foot, "not true! Well, erm... sorta..."

"We are very sorry to say, but is it alright for us to tag along as well?" Kenma looked at the raven haired male, "I don't mind."

"Let's get going- we don't want to make out tutor wait, now, do we?" The girl grabbed her luggage and ran ahead, "let's go, yeah?"

--

"Let's go, yeah..." She slowed down as she encountered a familiar looking captain. "Look who we have here~" Kuroo gave a sly smirk, getting closer to Ren. "Don't tell me-"

"Correct, I'm your tutor!" The five gave a deadpanned look, "no way."

"Yes way~ I'm good at Japanese literature, even ask my little kouhai here," he moved out of the way to reveal a shorter girl with very odd hair. It had been tied into a long braid and put in front of her; her green eyes looking for a place to look until her eyes fixated onto the other female there. "H-hello..!" Ren bowed desperately, making the other female uncomfortable.

"Wow, even with other girls she still seems to be the most awkward here," Tsukishima scoffed. The adviser's eyebrows met, as she stood up straight, glaring daggers at the blonde. "I'm Yoshida Ren- n-nice to meet you!"

"I'm Konimi Cosette, it's nice to meet you, too." She said a little blunt, bowing the slightest as Ren blinked a few times in contrast. "So, Konimi-san, I take it that you're foreign?" The blonde nodded. "Ah, awesome! I am as well! Actually, half."

"That's why you're so tall..." She looked up at her as they stood silently after that. "I'm Hinata Shoyou! A first year- nice to meet you, Konimi-san!"

"I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi; also a first year. I'm happy to work with you, Konimi-san."

"Tsukishima Kei..."

"I'm a first year at Karasuno high, Kageyama Tobio. I believe you met our other setter, Sugawara-san?" Cosette bowed to them, "yeah, I met him."

"So where are we staying, Kenma?" Hinata changed the subject, as Ren kept smiling at the girl across from her. She seems bitter- but sweet! Bittersweet! She's cute, Ren repeated in her head waving to her.

What an odd first year, Cosette tried avoiding eye contact. "We're actually waiting for Yaku. He said that there is a dorm room across from mine that seems to be available..." Kenma told as he focused on the game his POP had been playing. "Eh? One room?" Ren looked towards the four, with a bright red face.

"My, if something were to happen," Tsukishima smirked, his gaze trailing from the female first year's shoes to her eyes. This made her shiver and hide behind a specific freckled first year. "Yamaguchi-san, save me..!" Blood rushed to the male's cheeks with her touch and he stuttered, "w-w-what?" Kuroo gave a loud laugh, "man, it's great to be young!"

Cosette's eye twitched, as she was just about ready to leave. That was before a male came running towards them. "Kuroo, Kenma, Cosette!" He panted, now his hands on his knees. "Ah, it's the libero taller than Nishinoya-!"

"He's taller than you, idiot."

"Yeah, he's taller than Yuu~" Ren chuckled to herself as everyone stared at her blankly. "Okay, okay, I'll stop."

"Anyways, I came to pick you guys up." Yaku sighed, looking at all the familiar faces that he would have to take home with him. "Where are we going?"

"To the dorm of course-"

"I'll pay for a hotel, Yaku-kun!" Ren blurted out, a little flustered. The libero tilted his head in confusion as he looked over at the short blonde. "Yoshida doesn't want to stay in a dorm alone with guys, Morisuke."

"Again with the first name basis~" Kuroo bit his lip before the two glared into his soul, and Kenma actually glanced upwards at the captain. "I sometimes forget that you're a girl, Yoshida-san. Sorry," he apologized. "Don't worry, I get that a lot..!" But she secretly felt an arrow of hurt impale her heart.

"A hotel, yeah? That sounds good. There is one right next to the school-"

"I'll take it," Ren said almost immediately. "That was quick," Kenma looked up at the figure. "It'll be better for the boys, anyways."

"Still, I feel bad for making you pay for your own hotel room... if only I hadn't been so dense..." Yaku mumbled defeated, as Ren shook her hands back and forth. "Don't worry! I can pay it off."
