The Next Day

Shadow's POV

When I woke up Ironhide's human form was gone, I was alone in the backseats, "Let's move!" Crosshairs shout angrily, "Come on," Hide grunts, I climb out and see Cade along with Bee, "What's the plan?" Hide growls towards the man, and he is now in his robotic mode, "Calm down," Optimus says to Hide, "Well I and Stupid got back from KSI, with Bee," Cade whispers motioning to Shane, "And?" Hide grunts.

Cade becomes quiet, along with the other two humans and Bee, "They melted Ratchet..." Cade whispers.

Soon I find myself in Hide's alt, strapped in, Optimus and the others trailing behind us, Hide is driving too fast, only slowing down and speeding up when needed, I know where they are going... KSI...

"Stupid Humans! I hate them! All of them! They are such a primitive and violent race!" Hide growls at me, tightening the seatbelt around me.

"You humans are weak! Pathetic! Useless! Disgusting!" Hide growls tightening the seatbelt tighter like he was clenching his fists in his vehicle mode, I whimper "Iron... Hide.." I breathe the seatbelt restraining me to the seat, making it hard to breathe.

"Pathetic! Weak! Useless! Disgusting! A waste of human life!" He sneers.

"Ironhide!" I cry with tears in my eyes when I find it hard to breathe.

He stops tightening the seatbelt, then it flies off, he skids to a halt on the side of the road, you could hear his tires screeching against the asphalt, from a mile away. The other Autobots passing him, I take deep breaths trying to catch the breaths I lost, Hide is silent the whole time taking deep breaths, which flow through the air vents.

"Are you okay-" he asks but I cut him off.

"What's wrong?!" I snap wanting to know why I deserved that. "I... I didn't... know... I'm... Sorry..." He murmurs like I was a mother yelling asking them why their child went out and did a bad thing. I sigh, Hide flinches like I was going to hit the dash or wheel to hurt him.

I would never hurt Hide, he's my friend, my one and only. The other kids at school didn't want me to join their game, or group in P.E., I was the outcast. Even the teachers didn't want me in their class. My dad started to yell at me, whenever I tried to explain why my grades were so low. But he wouldn't talk with the school about my grades.

Mom would be the one that did that, but when she died there was no point, in having good grades when my father, didn't want to do anything about it. All he would do is throw things at me and tell me to grow up, or even worse he would scream, slap and kick me. My mother died on my 4th birthday.

Worst birthday present ever...

I hug his passenger seat to say I'm sorry, I pet the seat, then yelp when his human form appears under me, where I'm on his lap my legs hanging off to the side, he is holding me as a father would. I tense hearing the soft tone in his voice, his hands have a fatherly touch, full of care, kindness, and gentleness, while he strokes my hair.

"I'm so sorry, Shadow! Please forgive me! Don't be like Chromia, and leave me!" He whispers his tone holding emotions that made me cry, I hold him sobbing, "I won't leave you, as long as you don't leave me!" I sob, soon he is crying not too hard, he buries his face in my shoulder.

"Ironhide, we need you! Where are you? Ya fragger?!" I hear Crosshairs growl through the radio. "I'll be there in a minute," Hide says softly.

"Whatever! You better put the metal to the pedal! We're storming KSI, that stupid place, stop playing tea party with Shadow and come now!" Hound growls.

I grab a handful of Hide's shirt clutching it. My tears soaking into his shirt, but did Hide care? No, all he cared about was me. Right now I'm his only family, no one wants nothing to do with him, except me, he doesn't love anyone as he does me.

We don't have a boyfriend-girlfriend bond... Ew, that's just gross... We are forming a father-daughter bond, it's growing stronger and stronger whenever we are near one another.

It was just us. I didn't want it any other way... Just me and Hide against the world...

KSI

We were finally at KSI, I watched as Bee crashed through the window Drift behind him. Hide transforms with me in his arm plating, he runs upstairs behind the others, once to the labs I see Crosshairs on top of a trailer.

He fires warning shots in the air, "Get out! All of you!" Optimus orders to the humans who have started running and screaming. "Science fair's over, meatbags!" Hounds say angrily I chuckle at what he said.

"Destroy the lab! Destroy it all!" Optimus orders, Ironhide sets me down and I watch as he and the other destroy the lab, I grab a broken pipe and hit a glass box, that had a small bot in it. "Thank you, little girl!" He says I watch as he limps out and runs over to Hound.

"Hey! Hey! Stop! That's company property!" I hear and see a bald man with black glasses and a suit and tie. "They're not your property!" Optimus growls pointing at the man, the others stop and all stand by their leader, I stand by 'Hide's foot, "They were my friends." Optimus finishes.

'Hide is glaring daggers at the man, "Oh, you ain't talking so much now! You got Hound and Ironhide in front of you huh?" The small bot Hide told me who was named Brains, "Go ahead. Show us your true colors, once and for all." The man says. "Just give us the word, we'll splatter him," Hide says raising his cannons towards the man along with Hound, Optimus raises a hand to Hide telling him to wait.

"Why don't you tell itchy fingers here that this is all the spoils of war. Dead metal. Innovation. What we do here is science. Because if we don't do it, somebody else will. Because you cannot stop technology!" The man says.

"We're not your technology!" Ironhide growls kicking something and making it brake some glass, before Optimus could, the man cowers down, "Let me vaporize his ass." Hound says pointing his gun towards the man, who is now standing. "I broke the code. I own your whole genome." He says. Optimus kneels to the man. "The world will know what you're doing here." Optimus says, "The world? The world will approve. We can make you now. Don't you get it? We don't need you anymore." The man says.

"That was cruel," Hound adds, "Autobots," Optimus starts, he starts walking backward, "We're done." Optimus finishes walking off.

"I need them! One day you're gonna mess up with your company, your prototypes are gonna mess up and destroy the world. Who's gonna save the world? Better yet who's gonna save you?" I sneer then walk off Optimus, grabs me up gently while Hide and the others walk behind.

Optimus transforms around me, I watch in awe and amusement, he does it slowly, I can see where all of the gears and things go, and how they fold to form his vehicle mode. Once Optimus is fully transformed I land gently on his passenger seat, the seatbelt snakes around me and clicks into place.

Optimus takes off with the other transformed Autobots behind him, we drive away from KSI, Optimus is not a talkative bot, I should be used to the silence since Hide is not so talkative. "How did Ironhide come across you?" Optimus asks so suddenly.

"Well he rolled in my barn," I say smiling, proud that Ironhide had chosen my barn. "That sounds very interesting," Optimus says I could hear the amusement/interest in his tone, "Yeah, it is," I chuckle liking Optimus's company, "Shadow?" Optimus asks I look at the radio.

"Yeah?" I ask, "May I ask you a might be a personal question?" He asks, "Any question," I smile. "Who named you?" He asks, I freeze then shake, "My mother," I chirp, the question not affecting me, like Optimus might have thought it would.  "What was she like?" Optimus asks. "She was amazing..." I say then trail.

"She was the most perfect person. She had a heartwarming smile and voice. She could make anyone smile with hers, she also was a perfect mother, she took care of my wants and needs, but left the ones we couldn't afford alone, and got me something that made me smile. She always said she would love to see me smile more since I had barely any teeth at age 5, she thought it was adorable when I smile." I say smiling remembering my mother.

"Please, tell me more, if you want, what did she look like?" he says. I smile with a chuckle.

"If looks could kill me and everyone mom knew would be 6 feet under, she was beautiful... Her hair black as night, her teeth a pearly white, so white they would shine in the sun when she smiled, her voice smoother than silk." I say smiling, I close my eyes and think about my mother. "Her heart stronger than stones, nails, any strong material," I smile, "Did you love her?" Optimus asks.

I laugh and open my eyes, "I love her with all my heart, and every fiber, muscle, tissue, every little cell in my body is filled with love for her... I still love her," I chuckle.

Optimus:

Hearing Shadow talk about her carrier made Optimus's spark warm, to see her toothy smile, her carrier was right she was, what humans called adorable, she still had barely any teeth, her black hair tucked behind her ears since her hair would get in her face.

Ironhide got lucky with this sparkling, the young femme was understanding, what humans say, down to earth, her smile was like what she described her carriers, heartwarming, the little femme took his processors off of what Joshua had said. We don't need you anymore but according to Shadow, she needed them and that was enough for Optimus.

He didn't need everyone to need him, just one person or Autobot. Optimus's spark clenched painfully thinking about the Autobots only medic, and his old friend he had lost, Optimus couldn't grasp the fact Ratchet was gone, Optimus mentally smiled thinking about the memories he and Ratchet and the others shared.

The other Autobots that made Ratchet angry, the field medic would only throw his wrenches at the prankster, or Jazz, who was the only prankster that was or maybe is still on earth. Optimus hadn't seen Jazz since NEST had ambushed his team, all Optimus wanted was his spark mate and his team back, which includes Shadow.

This young femme has the strong, understanding spark that Optimus's Autobots have, Optimus is proud to call this femme an Autobot. She made the team more motivated when Optimus didn't want to, since he was stressed with the humans, along with his team.

"And I think she would have loved all of you guys!" Shadow chirps, "But hey, I'm sorry about your medic, I know my race is cruel, but you have an awesome team that you treat like they're your own family." She says in an understanding tone smiling.

Optimus swerves to the left getting a surprised yelp from Shadow, avoiding a  shot fired his way. "Hold tight" Optimus commands gently to the young femme, who is holding onto his passenger seat.

Shadow's POV

I held onto Optimus's seat for dear life, I yelp when a shot is yet again fired our way, Optimus swerves avoiding another missile.

Optimus skids and drives off along with the other Autobots, then I see a, in my opinion, a very ugly sports car chasing after us. Optimus has the pedal down to the floor, I squeak in surprise when I see a missile hit the road, making a truck trailer swerve and hit an RV, in the road.

I gasped seeing the trailer collided with the RV, I clutch to the seat, Optimus starts transforming around me, Bee behind him, everything goes in slow motion, I watch as Optimus catches a screaming Tessa, I hold onto Optimus screaming, Optimus shields us while he goes through a truck trailer, then Optimus turns and catches Shane and Cade.

They all are screaming, I am screaming with excitement, Optimus transforms around us, I watch as Bee falls back, and hangs upside down.

I yelp when I'm throwing in the back along with Tessa, we drive down the road, I see in the driver side rearview mirror the silver and black semi, "O-Optimus" I say shakily. He continues driving, Shane being the idiot sticks his head out of the window.

"Come on, Optimus!" Cade encourages, sitting in the driver seat. "Come on Prime!" I cheer, I yelp when another missile hits the road beside us, Optimus swerves avoiding the incoming missiles, then a missile hits Optimus, then Cade and Shane jumps out.

Leaving me and Tessa, who grabs me and holds me tightly, Optimus holds me and Tessa before he drops us gently, while I and Tessa rolled Optimus stopped a car with his foot, making the car stop automatically.

Optimus looks down at Tessa and me, once he's done making sure we are okay, he looks at the threat, which is the silver and gray bot.

"Tessa!" Cade yells, "Shadow!" Shane calls, I and Tessa scramble back to the car, I see Cade run towards us, Optimus tackles the robot in front of me and Tessa, who clutches to me, "Tessa! Tessa!" Cade calls getting both of our attention.

I was dirty, sweaty, and my cheek covered with blood that is seeping out of the small wound, which I had gotten when Optimus and I were flying. I and Tessa do as he says, but Optimus is kicked our way, "You have no soul!" Optimus says plunging his fire sword in the silver bots hole in his chest.

"That is why I have no fear! You die!" The robot says grabbing Optimus and throwing him, me and Tessa scramble up and run to the car. "Help me!" Tessa pleads while leaning back against the car, I whimper feeling my ankle hurting, from where Optimus and the other bot crashed, causing me and Tessa to fly and land to the ground.

I scream seeing a missile hit Optimus, Optimus groans and turns, seeing who shot him, my eyes widen seeing the bot from my dreams...

A HUGE spaceship floating behind him, he walks up to us slowly, the silver robots that Optimus was fighting with retreats, I watch as the black robot's face turns into a gun, another shot hits Optimus, "Optimus!" I scream. Tessa grabs me and gets in the car once Optimus's headlands on the hood.

The bot comes closer and closer, I instantly fear for Ironhide and Optimus, I wanted Ironhide! My heart races with fear, I climb in the backseats, "Optimus! Optimus, get up, get up!" She encourages, "I can't. Get out of here." Optimus says in pain.

Tessa climbs in the backseats with me, she holds me tightly, "Iron-" I scream but Tessa's hand cuts me off, "Hush," she says, I sob into her hand, "I feel sorry for you, Prime. Your allegiance to these humans." He says walking up and then kneeling by Optimus's side.

"The trouble with loyalty to a cause is that the cause will always betray you." He says, "Who sent you here?" Optimus says weakly, "Where do you think you came from? Do you think you were born? No. You were built." He says standing.

"And your creators want you back. We all work for someone." The bot says before he walks off and then a ship comes out of the ship. "Holy pit," I whisper, then it hovers over me and Tessa, "No, no," Tessa says before a net is dropped above us.

I and Tessa scream when the car is being lifted off of the ground. "Ironhide!" I scream hoping he's here, "Dad!" Tessa screams while we are being lifted off of the ground, I see Cade banging on the glass, "Dad help me!" Tessa begs to try to climb out of the window.

The car gets all the way off of the ground making me and Tessa fall to the back. I yelp and then I'm knocked out cold...
