Chapter Fourteen:
Be Careful

The next morning I was woken up by Rosalie and Emmett. They kissed me softly and I smiled sadly at them knowing that needed to leave.

"Be careful please," I whispered and they smiled sadly at me holding me tightly to their chests.

"We will as long as you do as well," Rosalie told me and I smiled at them kissing their cheeks softly.

"I will. I love you both," I told them and Emmett stepped towards first kissing my lips softly.

"I love you, Annie," he told me and I smiled at him as he stored back and Rosalie stepped forward. She kissed my lips softly too before smiling down at me.

"I love you, baby," she told me and I smiled at them as they headed to the window. I smiled at them once more before they left to go and prepare.

I sighed going to my bathroom and started getting ready. I also made sure I had everything packed. I made sure I had a thermal blanket, food, drinks, a heater, and some thick clothes.

After making sure I had everything I went downstairs where Jasper was waiting for me. I smile at him handing him my bag. He smiled at me as I jumped on his back.

"Do you feel better?" He asked me and I nodded at him.

"Yeah Carlisle gave me so medicine and I had Rosalie and Emmett snuggling with me," I told him and he smiled at me as we sped to the field.

Getting there I saw both Edward and Bella and Jacob and Paul. I smiled at Jasper kissing his cheek as I headed to Paul and Jasper went to give Edward my bag.

"What is in this?" Edward asked Jasper as he held the heavy bag.

"Who knows," Jasper told him as he shrugged his shoulders.

As I got to Paul and Jacob they smile at me and bring me into a hug.

"You ready?" Paul asked me and I nodded jumping on his back.

"Yeah and I got some medicine for my cold from Carlisle," I told Paul and he nodded. The rest of the walk was quiet as I looked around the scenery with a smile.

When we got to the top of the mountain I smiled at Edward and hugged Paul before he was left.

"Be careful, okay," I told him and he nodded at me with a smile.

"I will. Love you, Ana," Paul told me and I smile at him hugging him once more.

"Love you too," I tell him as he smiles at me before heading down the mountain. When he leaves I head to my tent that Edward set up. I wasn't sharing one with Bella and Edward.

Getting in their I hooked up my heater and get my bed ready. I then lay down and start watching movies while texting Alice about how bored I was. To which she told me she was too because Jasper was in battle mode. To which I laughed at. 

Soon enough I fell asleep but I was woken up by someone coming into my tent. I turned on my lamp and saw Jacob. I smiled at him as he laid down beside me and I fell back to sleep.

The next morning I got changed before walking out of the tent. I smiled seeing Jacob he was waiting for me before leaving.

"Hey I have to go," he told me and I smiled at him hugging him around his waist.

"Be careful Jake. I love you," I told him and he smiled at me hugging me tightly to him.

"Love you too Ana and I will. I promise," Jacob told me before he kisses the top of my head. I smile at him as he runs away.

I then go and sit beside Edward who ruffles my hair. I glare at him slapping his hand away.

"Are you always this annoying?" I asked him and he laughed at me. I then thought of something that would get on his nerves.

I then started singing Someone Like You by Adele loudly in my head making Edward rub the bridge of his nose.

"Anastasia please stop singing Adele in your head!" Edward yelled making me laugh as Bella came out of her head shaking her head.

"You two are like annoying siblings," Bella says making Edward and I look at each disgusted.

"As if!" I yell making Bella laugh at me. Edward then turned to the side and I see Seth's wolf.

"It's staring," Edward said making me tense and squeeze Edward's hand that was beside me. He squeezed it back sending me a reassuring smile.

"Jacob just got there. He is okay and so is everyone else," Edward says making me nod still squeezing his hand.

As he was reading Seth's thoughts he suddenly tensed and so did Seth. I looked at them both worried. I could tell something was wrong.

"Someone's hurt?" Bella asked thinking the worst but I knew what was wrong. I could tell what was wrong. She was coming.

"Seth, go," I said, and Seth bolts away from the campsite, fast. I look to Edward who nods and whips Bella behind him against a cliff wall and takes a defensive stance in front of her as I stood beside him.

"She's close. I can hear her thoughts. She knew we weren't there, but she caught my scent," Edward told Bella.

"She knew you'd both be with me," Edward says as he looks over to me concerned. I nod at him squeezing his fingers.

"She found us," Bella says with worried clear in her voice as she clutches to Edwards back.

"She's not alone," Edward says making me look at him wide-eyed as Riley steps out of the woods. Riley edges closer, watching Edward's and mine every move.

"Riley... Listen to me. Victoria's just using you, to distract me. But she knows I'll kill you," Edwards says making Riley hesitate.

"In fact, she'll be glad she doesn't have to deal with you anymore," Edward says as Victoria emerges from the woods. I glare at her immediately keeping my eyes on her.

"Don't listen, Riley. I told you about their mind tricks," Victoria says making me huff.

"Annoying manipulative bitch," I muttered under my breathe making Victoria glare at me. I finger wave at her with a fake smile.

"I can read her mind, so I know what she thinks of you," Edward tells Riley as he squeezes my hand to stop.

"He's lying," Victoria tells Riley as she continues glaring at me.

"She only created you and this army to avenge her true mate, James. It's the only thing she cares about. Not you," Edwards tells Riley as he begins to hesitate. He glances at Victoria.

"There's only you. You know that," Victoria tells Riley. Riley focuses back on Edward, positioning himself to attack.

"Think about it. You're from Forks, you know the area. That's the only reason she chose you. She doesn't love you," Edward says trying to get Riley to understand Riley falters ever so slightly, doubt seeping into his mind. But Victoria's face is convincingly emotional.

"Riley... Don't let him do this to us. You know I love you," Victoria tells him and I squeeze Edward's hand knowing that she got him. Riley turns to us with a dark look in his eyes.

"You're dead," Riley says as he charges toward Edward who doesn't move because Seth's wolf leaps from the cliff above landing on Riley, taking a chunk out of Riley's hand.

Riley roars with fury and pain as Seth's wolf circles back for another attack. While Seth's wolf keeps Riley on the defense, Edward starts toward Victoria. She backs toward the trees. Edward sees she's about to escape darts into her path. 

"You can escape. You always do. But you won't get another chance like this again," Edward yelled at her making Victoria hisses at him and back further away.

"You want her. You want her and Ana. You want us to feel the pain you felt when we killed James. When we tore him to pieces. When we turned him into ash. When we turned him into nothing," Edward told her with venom in his voice.

Victoria finally erupts and charges at Bella but Edward never lets her get close. He intercepts her and they roll down the hill in a death grip.

Meanwhile, Riley kicks Seth's wolf hard against the cliff. Sharp shards of rock fall around Bella and me as Seth's wolf, battered, goes down. Riley spins toward Bella and me.

Edwards bolts to Riley, kicking him back, he darts to Victoria, smashing into her. As Seth-wolf struggles to rise, Riley joins Victoria's battle providing her with the tiny advantage she needs.

Riley tackles Edward to his knees, Victoria grabs Edward from behind. Bella's eyes meet Edward's and with purpose, she grabs up a sharp piece of slate.

Bella plunges the shard downward, stabbing her arm. Blood immediately flows dripping bright red onto the white snow.

Riley and Victoria spin towards Bella there bloodlust getting to them. Edward seizes the moment and flips  Victoria over his head, across the clearing, and into the tree breaking it in half.

Edward spins on Riley who's still bedazzled by the blood. Edward pushed him into the rocks making Riley lose his arms.

Edward tosses the arm aside and bolts back to Victoria. Seth's wolf, recovered, leaps up and tackles Riley and drags him screaming into the woods.

"Victoria. Victoria," Riley scream but Victoria doesn't even glance at him. Edward charges Victoria the two clash and begins a blurred battle. Until he pummels her down and, finally, maneuvers himself behind her, gelling her in a death grip.

Victoria struggles; me directly in her eye-line. She glares at me to which I glare back even more fiercely.

Victoria then flips Edward off of her and charges at me. She goes to attack me a raise my hands in a crossed manner as Jasper taught me.

"So Vicky how's James and Laurent? Oh right there dead," I told her with a smirk and she glares at me before smirking.

"How was your swim, Ana? Both of them?" Victoria asked me and I glare at her making her smirk even more as she charges at me but when she does I immediately grab her that was reaching for me and throw her over my shoddiest making her land beside Edward.

Edward grabs Victoria with his arms around her neck and bites into her neck taking a huge chunk from her neck, ripping her head off.

As Bella watches Victoria's body crumple to the ground with a stunned expression and I let out a relieved sigh.

Edward gets up and starts wrapping Bella's arm as I walk over to Seth's wolf rubbing his head.

"Are you okay?" I ask him and he nods at me.
"Good. Can I have a ride down the mountain?" I ask him and he nods at me as he squats down for me to jump on his fury back.

I smile at him as I climb on and when I give him a nod he starts running down the mountain. Getting down the mountain I see Jacobs wolf first and run to him and hug his neck happy he was okay.

We were hugging when suddenly we hear a vicious snarl coming from behind us in the woods, spins to Jacob spins to see Leah cornering one last male newborn who was hiding. Leah charges.

"Leah, don't!" Edward yells as the male newborn maneuvers out of her way, spins, and grabs her yanking her off her paws.

"Jacob don't!" I yell as I see his determined look but he ignores me and leaps on the male newborn, tackling him. They roll into the clearing with me running behind them.

The newborn then gets his arms around Jacob and crushes him. Jacob howls in agony. As I look mortified but angry was building up.

I run up behind the newborn and wrap my arms around his neck-breaking his neck off. Forcing him to release Jacob who crumples to the ground.

Once the newborn is down I rush over to Jacob's side with Edward and Carlisle. Jacob then starts to transform into a human barely able to breathe.

Carlisle quickly examines him as he writhes in pain; Edward steadies him, gripping his hand. As Rosalie and Emmett come up behind me. I look at Carlisle worried.

"The bones on the right half of his body are shattered," Carlisle says as Jacob in excruciating pain squeezes my hand.

"Ana," Jacob mutters with tears in his eyes. I squeeze his hand with tears in mine.

"It's okay, Jake. You will be okay," I tell him as Sam, Paul, Jared, Embry, Quil, and Leah, now in human form race up.

"Jacob, you idiot. I had it," Leah says with angry but I can see her worried but right now I was annoyed.

"Leah," Sam and I say with a tone that said shut up.
"I need to set the bones before his accelerated healing kicks in. It's already starting," Carlisle says as I continue rubbing Jacob's knuckles. 

"We need to get him out of here. We're not gonna win a fight with the Volturi," Edward tells Carlisle making him nod.

"We'll take him back to Billy's," Sam says making Carlisle nod at him.

"I'll be there as soon as I can," Carlisle says to him making Sam nod at him.

"Jess," Jacob whispers to me making me nod. I knew he already told her everything mostly because Jess showed up at my house at three in the morning freaking out. Jacob then cries out in pain as the pack lifts him and the pack starts carrying him off.

"They're here," Alice says as Rosalie and Emmett wrap their arms around me. I immediately lean into them as we gather in the center of the field.

"It appears you've done our work for us," Jane says and I smile at her voice. I start to get out of my mates' arms as Jane with Felix, Demetri, and Alec behind.

Jane assesses the scene in front of her but when her eyes land on me she stops and looks directly at me. I smile getting out of my mates' arms and heading to her.

"Janey! I have missed you!" I yell at her hugging her tightly making Cullen tense and the three musketeers shake their heads at me.

"My favorite human. I thought you died," Jane told me making me look at her confused.

"Your bond broke with Jane and the kings. Caius was the most upset," Demetri told me making me nod at him in thanks.

"Well I did but I'm back and immortal. Long story," I told her and she nodded at me and I turn to Demetri

"Hey, Dem do you have a phone with Caius' number?" I ask him and he nods taking his phone out and I smile at him taking it.

I click on Caius' number and I wait as it rings everyone looking at me confused and with slight worry. Finally the annoying king answers.

"Demetri, did something happen?" Caius aks and I huff at him.

"You don't even say hi first you just start talking. That's rude," I tell him making everyone in the throne room freeze hearing the familiar voice of their favorite human. 

"Anastasia my favorite human," Caius says making me smirk.

"Caius my favorite sour vampire king," I tell him making him huff at me.

"You are still annoying. Now tell me did you make up with your mate? And give them hell?" Caius asks me making me laugh.

"Of course I did and I told all the Cullens my thoughts on them. It was an interesting conversation. You would have loved it! Also, guess what I did?" I say excitedly making him chuckle at me.

"What did you do my favorite human?" Caius asks excitedly making me laugh.

"I killed a newborn vampire and helped kill a 500-year-old vampire," I tell him with an exit Ed smile making Caius laugh.

"You are truly my favorite human. Now I have to go, Aro is rushing me. Until we speak again. Goodbye Anastasia," Caius told me and I smiled sadly at him.

"Goodbye your highnesses," I tell him making him chuckle as we hang up. I smile handing the phone back to Demetri.

"Thank you, Demetri. It was good to you Jane and your three musketeers," I say making Jane laugh, and the other three glared at me but I saw the small smiles on their faces.

"Good to see you too Anastasia and here is our number in case you need us. You also need to come back to Italy soon. Goodbye Ana," Jane told me and I smiled waving at the four vampires as they start to leave.

"Goodbye and I definitely will," I tell her as they all nod and then speed off. I then turn back to the Cullens staring at me wide-eyed.

"What?" I ask them and they all shake their heads at me.

"You just hugged one of the scariest vampires and had a conversation with the most ruthless kings," Jasper said and I nod at him not understanding what the big deal was.

"Yep now Carlisle let's go Jake needs us and I need to make a phone call," I say and Carlisle nods as I bring my phone out of my pocket and dial a familiar number.

"Hey, it's me. You need to come to Billy's. It's Jacob."
