Chapter Four:
Living

Getting home I saw Dad's patrol car and Billy trucks. I smiled at Jess and Angela grabbing my bags and making plans soon.

Walking inside the house I smiled seeing Dad, Billy, and Jacob sitting on the couch watching a baseball game.

"Is no one going to welcome me back home?" I asked them and everyone's head turns to me and they smiled big seeing me.

"Ana!" Jacob yelled running to me and pulling me into a hug. I laughed hugging him back.

"Munchkin," Dad said as he brought me into a hug. I immediately hugged my back beyond happy to me home.

"You look different but a good different," Dad told me and I smiled at him.

"Well I thought a new me equals a new hairstyle," I told him, and laughs at me shaking his head.

"Don't I get a hug?" Billy asked and I smiled at him going to hug him.
"Of course you do," I tell him and he smiles at me.

When we pulled away I smiled at everyone grabbing my bag.
"I am going to go unpack and then we can start watching the game," I told them and they nodded at me as I went upstairs. I went straight to Sugar.

"Mommy has missed you, my baby! Have you been a good girl?" I asked her as she wagged her tail and barked. She licked my cheeks as I pitted her head. I smiled putting her back down.

After unpacking I grabbed Sugar and then headed to Bella's room to check up on her. I sighed seeing her still sitting in a chair facing the woods.

"I'm back home bells and mom said to tell you she misses and that you are welcomed to come visit her whenever you wanted," I tell her but she doesn't say anything. I sigh walking out of her bedroom and going back downstairs.

I smiled sitting beside Jake as Sugar sat in my lap.
"I missed you little bit," Jacob told me and I smiled at him shaking my head.

"I missed you too Jakey," I told him leaning my head on his shoulders.

As the weeks went on I continued getting better but still had a giant Emmett and Rosalie shaped hole in my heart.

While I got better through Bella got worse. She was losing weight look crazy and continued waking up in the middle of the night screaming. Sugar always woke up whining to Bella's screams.

Today I was going to go check up on Sam, Paul, and Jared hearing that they all shifted. I had Sugar in my basket as I rode my bike to Sam.

Getting to Sams I put Sugar on her leash and headed to the front door. Sam was the one to open the door.

"Little Bit!" Sam yelled as he brought me into a hug. I laugh hugging him back.

"Sam!" I yelled back and he just laughed at me.
"What are you doing here?" Sam asked me when we pulled away.

"I heard you and a few others shifted and wanted to check up on you," I told him and he smiled at me bringing me into a hug.

"Thank you. Also, there's someone I want you to meet. Emily come here please," Sam yelled and all of a sudden a brunette woman came out with a smile and wrapped her arms around Sam's waist.

"Emily this is Ana she is basically my little sister. Ana this is Emily my imprint," Sam told me and I smiled at her pulling her from Sam's embrace into mine hugging her.

"Oh my goodness it is so nice to meet you, but just so you know you can do much better," I told her and she laughed at me while Sam pouted.

"Come on Ana let's go get you some cookie. Wait who is this adorable thing?" Emily said squatting down.

"This is Sugar. I thought she might want to spend some time with her cousins," I told her and she laughed at me while Sam glared.

"I am not related to this dog," Sam said with an angry expression. I laughed at him while Sugar barked.

"Come on let's go. You to Sugar," Emily says as she picked Sugar up and brought her into the house.

I laughed at Sam's face walking into the house. I then saw Jared and Paul.

"Jared! Paul!" I yelled running over to both of them and throwing myself in their embrace. They laughed at me hugging me back.

"Ana! It's been too long. Where have you been hiding?" Jared asked me as I sat between them.
"Yeah, and what did you do to your hair?" Paul asked me as he picked my hair up and looked at it.

I laughed at him as I hit his hand away.
"Well it's a long story are you ready for it?"I asked them as Emily handed me a plate of cookies with Sugar still in her arms. Paul and Jared nodded at me taking a cookie each.

"I fell in love with two vampires," I tell them making them choke on the cookie they were eating. They both turned to me wide-eyed.

"You what?!" I screeched out and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Can I explain?" I asked both of them and they nodded
"I'm a third mate," I told them and they looked even more wide-eyed knowing what that meant.

"You are a third mate to those leeches," Paul said shaking his head as I looked down. Jared then lifted his head slapping Paul's head and pointing to me.

"What happened Ana?" Jared asked me and I sighed looking at him with tears in my eyes.

"They left me and in the process broke my heart," I told him and he sighed wrapping his arm around me.

"I'm sorry Ana," Paul told me as he hugged me as well. Sam then walked into the room and looked beyond confused seeing me with tears in my eyes with Jared and Paul hugging me.

"Uh, what happened?" Sam asked making us all lookup. I sighed knowing he was about to go into protective brother mode.

"I am a third mate to vampires and they left me. And know I am broken-hearted," I told him and saw him visibly tense.

"I am going to kill them. No one hurts my baby sister," Sam told me and I smiled at him.

"Sam it's okay. It's been a little while and it hurts a little less but I am getting through it one day at a time," I told him and he still glared at nothing in particular but nodded.

"Who was it?" Jared asked me making Sam and Paul glare at him.
"Jared!" They both yelled as I laughed.

"It's fine. It was Emmett and Rosalie," I told him and saw him smirk at me.

"So you are into girls?" He asked me and I slap the back of his head glaring at him. He laughs at me shaking his head.

"Alright one more question," Jared told me and I sighed looking over at him as Paul and Sam glared at him.

"What is it, Jared?" I asked him making him smile at me.

"Does that mean you are still a virgin?" Jared asked me making me look wide-eyed at him and turn bright red.

"Jared!" I yelled grabbing a pillow and hitting him with it. He laughed as I continued to hit him.

"I'm guessing that is a no?" Jared asked me as I laugh at him. I then turned toward Sam and Paul to see both of them with their arms crossed.

"What?" I asked him confused.
"Are you?" Paul asked me and I huffed at them turning to glare at Jared.

"Thanks a lot, Jared," I told him, and sheepishly smile at me. I then turned back to Paul and Sam.

"Not that it is any of your business but no I am not," I told them heading towards the kitchen where Emily was. She smiled when she saw me.

"I am sick of overprotective brothers," I told her and laughed at me sitting beside me.

"Sorry kiddo," she told me and I shook my head at her with a slight smile on my face.

"It's alright I know it's just their way of showing me that they care," I told her eating one of the muffins in front of me.

"So what are you doing for Halloween?" Emily asked me and I smiled at her.
"One of my friends is having a costume party and going to that," I told her and she smiled at me.

Before either of us could say anything else the boys walked into the kitchen sitting in front of us. I look towards Emily with a confused expression and she just shrugs her shoulders.

"Yes?" I asked them and Sam leaned forward.
"We have questions," Sam told me and I sighed nodding my head at him.

"Did they treat you right?" Sam asked me and I nodded at him.

"Yeah, they did," I told him and he nodded at that as Paul leans forward.

"Did they respect you and your wishes?" Paul asked me.

"Yes, they did. They never did anything without my permission," I told him and he nodded at me.

"Now do any of you have any more questions?" I asked them and Sam and Paul both shook their heads at me.

"Wait I have one," Jared said and I shake my head looking towards him.
"Yes Jared," I told him and he smiled at me.

"Was it good? Like on a scale from one to ten how good was it?" Jared asked me as Paul and Sam hit him over the head. I laughed at them shaking my head.

"Well as much as I love this interrogation I have to get home before it gets too late. Love you guys and I will see you soon Emily," I told her hugging her tightly. She smiled at me.

"See you soon Ana and I make sure you send me a picture of your costume," Emily told me and I smiled at her nodding my head and grabbing Sugar.

"Say goodbye to your cousins," I told Sugar waving her paw to the three boys. Emily laughed as the boys glared.

"Bye!" I yelled running out of the house with Sugar.

Getting back home I put Sugar in her crate and started getting ready for Eric's Halloween party. I put on my costume and curly my ginger hair making sure that my makeup matched my costume.

I smile looking in the mirror in my costume. I then headed towards Bella's room.

"Bella are you sure you don't want to come with me?" I asked her and she didn't respond. I sigh at her.

"Bella he isn't coming back. You need to move on," I told her heading downstairs when I heard Jess horn honk.

"You look hot!" Jess told me making me laugh at her.
"Same for you babe," I told her and she laughed at me.

We then headed to the party. Getting there I spent the night laughing and talking with friends only having one drink, and just for a moment, I forgot about my broken heart.

The weeks then went by fast it was now time for Christmas. I was spending fours days before Christmas Eve with Mom and then the four days after Christmas Eve with Dad.

After that, I was heading towards Jamaica with Jessica and Angela. It was a graduation present from Jess presents and she decided to bring us with her.

Spending time with mom included watching Hallmark Christmas movies and drinking iced coffee while I tanning.

With Dad, I helped set up the Christmas Tree and we drank hot chocolate while watching the Christmas classics.

"Merry Christmas Dad!" I yelled as I skipped down the stairs with my Christmas pj's on.

"Morning Munchkin Merry Christmas," Dad told me kissing my cheek as I started to make my famous Christmas pancakes.

As I was making the pancakes Billy and Jacob showed up. I smiled at them as they walked into the house.

"Merry Christmas," I told them and they smiled at me as Jacob came and kissed the top of my head.

"Merry Christmas Ana," Jacob told me as he started helping me make breakfast.

The rest of the day was spent laughing and talking as we watched the Christmas classics. Dad was worried about Bella though because she hasn't left her room once. The only reason she ate and drink was because someone brought it to her.

It was now time for my trip with Jess and Angela. We were on the plane laughing and talking as we headed to Jamaica.

When we got there we spent all of our time laying in the sun and drinking Sex on the beaches. We made so many memories together before we part ways after graduation.

Cullens POV:

"At least let us check up on them!" Alice yells at Carlisle as they were at their cousins' house in Alaska. Carlisle shook his head at her.

"Alice no we promised Edward," Carlisle told her.

"But Bella isn't doing well without us and I don't get many visions of Ana and they are unclear," Alice told Carlisle trying to convince him.

"No Alice she is living her life and safe from danger," Carlisle told her and Jasper interrupted him.

"You mean Bella is safe from us," Jasper tells him glaring at his father figure. Carlisle sighs.

"When you see Ana what do you see?" Carlisle asked Alice and everyone turns to her.

"She is living her life but she is still in pain every single second her heartache for her mates," Alice tells them as Rosalie and Emmett look down but Jasper could feel the anger off of them.

"Carlisle when you stop favoring Edward and put what is better for everyone beside him first then we can talk  till then just don't talk to us," Jasper tells him as Alice cuddles into him.

"Jasper -," Carlisle started to say but was interrupted by Rosalie.

"No, he is right. You had us leave our mate our other half because Edward wanted to leave his blood singer. No one wanted to leave we still had two years left but no Edward had to leave and he isn't even with us. We could have stayed. I could still be with my mate," Rosalie tells him with tears in her eyes that would never fall.

Carlisle sighs as Jasper Alice Rosalie and Emmett left the room. Once they left Rosalie and Emmett turned to Alice.

"Is she okay?" Emmett asked her and Alice sighed.
"She's doing better. Jess and Angela are helping her a lot but she still misses all of us, but she promised Jasper she would live and that is what she is doing," Alice tells them, and Rosalie and Emmett nod walking off with their heartbreaking with each step they took.
