Not My Secret to Tell
Once Upon a Time, in a land known as Storybrooke, there was a girl named Evelina Frost.
Evelina had beautiful platinum blonde hair that could always be found in a tight French braid that rested upon her shoulders. She viewed the world through big blue eyes and her joyous laughter escaped between her soft pink lips. A true visionary, she was loved by all.
Sometime before, she was taken away by her father for protection against someone who everyone called a monster. But Evelina didn't think he was a monster. She had fallen in love.
Peter Pan was her Romeo.
She had been through so much just to be with him. She crossed realms, lost a friend, and was nearly killed plenty of times.
But in the end, she was back to where she started.
Evelina was back in Storybrooke. Except for this time, she wasn't alone. She had a secret. She had brought someone else with her.
You just couldn't see them yet because they were simply hidden in her belly.

Evelina Frost stared back at her father, the man who had lied to her about her mother.
"I guess Snow sent you the memo that I'm back," Evelina mumbled as her eyes shifted to the ground. Jack took a couple of steps closer to her.
"It was Regina, actually. She insisted I come to see you," he replied. Evelina sighed. Of course, Regina contacted her father. Regina always told Evelina to keep her family close because they could be yanked away at any moment without a single warning. Evelina took that saying for granted.
Both father and daughter sat at a table outside of Granny's Diner as the party everyone had thrown for her went on inside.
Evelina looked down at her hands.
"There must be a reason why you decided to keep my mother's death a secret from me. I still can't figure out why," Evelina said softly. Jack Frost looked down, still pained by Elsa's memory.
"My darling Evelina, how could I tell you she was dead when I haven't even accepted it myself?"
~
They spent hours talking. Even after the party had diminished, they had a long overdue talk about Elsa Frost and her downfall. It wasn't until Jack saw the sun was about to rise, indicating the next morning, that he turned to his daughter and sighed.
"I have to get back to the North Pole," he stated. Evelina nodded. She knew he still was a Guardian. He still had responsibilities.
"Next winter I'll take some time off and we can go visit your aunt Anna in Arendelle. I'm sure she'll be thrilled to meet you, not Joan," Jack teased and Evelina laughed.
"I had forgotten about that," she mumbled. Jack wrapped his arms around his daughter and gave a squeeze.
"I love you so much, Evelina."
"I love you too dad."
He took flight without another word said. It would be months before Evelina would see him again and she knew that.
But she didn't fret.
She still had her family to guide her along the way.

The town was in a snooze, as many were still in their homes, avoiding the morning altogether. The cold wind blew through the emptied streets and nobody wanted to rise from their tight slumber. The only ruckus alive came from the small loft of the Charming's, Storybrooke's personal heroes.
Too much had happened to the Charming's in the past year. The loss of an entire year of memories, Evelina's disappearance, the curse of Peter Pan, and various other things. The town just couldn't catch a break.
With Zelena close to completing her time traveling curse, she only needed one more ingredient. Rumple was still missing too and the town was once again on edge. It was a cycle that many had grown tired of.
For Evelina Frost, her life had turned into a complete spiral. Just like the Charming's, Evie seemed to catch onto their constant problems. Her mother died before they could meet, she was separated from the boy she had fallen for, and she was almost killed by some psycho she called Wendy the Bitch.
It was one problem after the other.
Snow White glanced at Evelina Frost with worried eyes. She watched as the young girl stared out the window in front of her with no emotion. Evelina had woken up different. It was as if she had changed overnight.
Evie refused to speak on the matter or anything that happened after she had left the North Pole. Evelina would only give information on what she knew about Zelena. Snow knew nothing good could've happened and she offered her ear to Evelina so she could let her feelings out, but alas she wouldn't speak of Neverland or of Pan.
Snow turned to David.
"I'm worried about her," she whispered as she stirred the porridge she had on the stove. David looked up from the fruit he was cutting and glanced at Evelina.
"My poor child."
"She's technically not yours," Regina mumbled and David glared at her.
"She's more mine than yours!" He snapped and Snow watched as her husband and Regina fought over who Evelina loved more.
"I believe I'm her favorite," Emma said as she passed by the two adults.
"You wish, Swan, clearly she likes me better," Killian voiced his opinion from the kitchen table.
"I don't think Evelina is the type to go for guys who wear makeup, pirate... And stay away from my daughter," David said.
"Which one?"
"Both of them!"
They continued to argue. Snow shook her head. She glanced at Evelina and frowned. The young girl was staring at her stomach. Snow watched as Evelina poked her own belly.
Snow looked away with a shrug.
"Maybe she has a belly ache. She looks a bit bloated."
~
Evelina gulped as she now paced the room the next day. All her family was out, they had gone to seek out a fight with Zelena. Evelina was not allowed near the witch.
"There's a reason why the witch kept you. She could've killed you, yet here you stand. You are not going near her for now," Regina said and they walked out.
Evelina, for once, didn't argue and stayed put.
She stopped and looked at the long mirror before her. Evelina neared it and sighed. She lifted her shirt up and turned to her side. A small tiny bump was forming, and Evelina hadn't realized it was even there until now. She had gained weight and she even noticed her breasts had grown.
"No wonder this shirt is tight," Evelina scolded and yanked her shirt down. She grunted as she began to stretch out the shirt, desperate to hide her belly.
"Um, what're you doing?" Evelina squeaked when she heard a voice. She turned and saw Henry standing nearby.
"Nothing. Nothing at all," she responded. Henry awkwardly nodded.
"Should we make something for dinner?"
"I suppose so," she said and began to get things out of the fridge. Henry continued to stare at Evelina with accusing eyes. Evelina knew that even if he didn't have his memories back, the boy was very observant.
"You have a secret," Henry said straightforward. Evelina glanced up.
"Everyone has secrets. It is a part of life and growing up. I believe you would have some secrets as well," Evelina mused.
"Yeah but mine doesn't involve a tiny person growing inside of me."
Evelina dropped the pot she was holding. She quickly jumped back before it could squish her toes and looked at Henry.
"You're a smart one," she mumbled. She sighed and turned her back on him.
"How did you find out?"
"I found the pregnancy test. You left it in the trash. Not very discreet. Don't worry though, I got rid of it. I threw it in an alley," he said proudly.
"Are you going to tell Snow or your mothers?"
"No."
Evelina looked at Henry in surprise. The boy simply smiled at her.
"It isn't my secret to tell."
