{Twenty-Five}

Moving was remarkably easy. Spencer called a moving truck and assisted in carrying down the heavier furniture; the sectional and dressers or the mattress. Sam gathered their clothes in boxes, packing away his own apartment and the cute things he had collected. The dog's toys and spare harnesses, leashes and clothes, and beds go into a box as well. Sam had bought each of them sweaters or raincoats to help the thin coated dogs keep warm, they're big animals but with thin fur, they get chiller faster. He fills two large boxes with his dog's stuff. His own clothes and necessities take up two medium boxes, and the kitchen supplies take three. Spencer has much more stuff; a dresser full of clothes, electronics for his job, game stations and games, speakers, and the huge flat-screen TV. Sam spends most of the first day helping his boyfriend box up the man's stuff, asking what he wants to keep or throw away. They donate whatever won't fit them or their dogs anymore, Sam stealing larger shirts for himself and the animals to wear. Spencer teases him about it, yet suggests certain shirts for them.

It takes them a week to move entirely, and two days to get everything in the house. The movers delivered the furniture on the first day, and they set up the bed in the master bedroom. Sam fiddled about in the kitchen, placing everything where he can find it while Spencer fixed the living room up. The dogs enjoyed time in the backyard as they moved things around. The spare bedroom turned into a temporary room for the dogs, all their beds and toys were placed in there. They slept in the house the day Spencer signed the papers, in the same bed and room. The redhead whispering into Sam's ear about how much fun it'll be, what they'll do, and more training to be a submissive. Sam fell asleep being told he was a good boy for obeying and following Spencer so easily. Not asking questions or putting up a fight. For not forcing the man to take dramatic actions to get him into the house.

It takes some days to contact the manager of the apartment building, having moved so abruptly she wasn't prepared with the papers to cut the rent agreement. She allowed them to come into her office, talking their ears off about how sad she'll be to see Sam and the dogs go, but that she was so happy they found a home. Spencer paid for both of their rents for the month, ignoring Sam's protests, and simply commanded the younger to sign the paper that cut his remaining ties to the home he's lived in for years. Without much thought to it, Sam obeyed and signed his name on the paper, watching Spencer sign his own lease papers to end the contract. Then, he simply thanked the woman and dragged the baker out of the building. Sam observed how eager Spencer was to get him back to the new house as quickly as possible, not allowing a stop for anyone that seemed shocked Sam was moving from the building. He didn't think too much of the behavior, assuming it was just excitement to be together in their new home. In the car to the house, Sam mentioned his parents. Telling the man they wouldn't be very happy with his decision to move in with Spencer, especially without having met the redhead and not knowing of him.

This news seemed to make Spencer tense, yet suggested they come to visit when the house is settled and they have done everything they planned to. Sam agreed with that, wanting to make sure the house is cleaned and in proper order before he invites his parents there. His mother would judge the state of the house first, then Spencer. The baker wants to avoid accusations that the man isn't caring for the dogs and himself, that the Youtuber is lazy or isn't right Sam. His parents worry, it's only natural, after all. However, he has neglected talking to them about Spencer and while he feels guilty for it, he is also happy. He had the ability to go into any kind of relationship with the man blindly, without the concerns and constant worry of his parents. They would've only made him anxious with the scenes they talked about, and the threats from his father. Without them making him paranoid about every single interaction, he was able to make a friend and a boyfriend out of the man. Having what he has now, genuine happiness is worth a few comments and looks of disappointment or anger from his parents. They won't cease speaking to him or disown him for this, they are aware he has right to keep stuff from them and have privacy. Once he explains his reasoning, he is positive they will understand.

Sam asks about Spencer's parents or family, yet is told the man doesn't speak to his mother anymore and his father passed away five years ago. It wasn't said with much care, plainly obvious this confession wasn't important to him at all and he doesn't mind he has no contact with his mother. Sam didn't press the redhead for information, curious as he is, he won't push his boyfriend to speak when he doesn't want to. He will find out whenever Spencer decides to bring it up again. Perhaps he just doesn't like his mother or something has happened between them. It's normal to dislike someone; parent, child, or not. Either way, Spencer had just shrugged it off and said he'd explain at a later time. Kissing Sam to distract the boy from the topic and change it to the animals, mentioning the spare room again. They agree to make it a temporary dog room until Spencer gets his office completely soundproof and sets up his equipment. Allowing the animals to have half the room, he'll buy or make custom bed's for them and set up an area to hold their toys. During the times' Sam works or has classes, they can stay with Spencer while he films videos or live streams. They all seemed to enjoy watching the video games he plays, the movement and sounds capturing their attention.

His puppy boy adored the idea that his beloved dogs will be allowed to hang out with the man, no matter if he was busy or not. Sam wants them happy and being around Spencer or himself always makes the animals delighted and content. Between the new yard, scents, and a bigger space, he suspects they're at their happiest now. Yet being with the redhead while Sam is gone brings the baker much ease. After all, the boy still has classes and a job to tend to, moving or not. Spencer has taken most of the job of arranging the house whenever Sam is too busy with class or at the bakery. As soon as Sam returns home, he helps in whatever way he can. Using days off to set up or fix anything remaining in boxes, trying to assist the Youtuber in placing soundproof padding on the office walls and in the spare room. This is what happens today, the first Monday of the second week in the new house. Sam walks in the door to see the dog's leashes in order by the dog on the wall with the human's hoodies, a large mat for shoes, and a small table to set mail or keys on.

The living room is now fully furnished; Spencer's large sectional is in the middle of the room, two fluffy recliners on each side of it, and a large pouf between the lounge extension on the couch and the recliner by the wall. There's a medium-sized modern glass coffee table with black edging in the middle, in front of the hanging flat TV on the far wall. A black glass shelf under it holds Spencer's gaming systems, different video games, and movies, and some figurines of characters. On each side of the shelf are the sound speakers the man had, standing tall with two smaller ones in the corners opposite the TV, behind the couch. Three black in-tables sit by the arm of the sectional and recliners, each holding coasters for drinks. Two hold small lamps that change colors, and remotes for them are neatly placed in the center of the tables. Spencer had set up every light in the house, including the kitchen and bathrooms to be LED; they all switch colors and have remotes. Sam hadn't seen the need yet agreed it was a cool figure to have.

Setting his keys down on the table and hanging up his hoodie next to Spencers, he follows the man's voice to his office. Finding his boyfriend on a tiny step ladder to reach the ceiling, placing more padding with the three giant dogs watching him at his feet. The human is cursing them for not helping him put it up, huffing and shaking his head in a playful manner. Fenrir barks, the sudden loud, sharp noise startling the man into losing his balance and tumbling off the tiny ladder onto a pile of padding on the floor. Sam gasps, fearing his partner may get hurt in the fall, but he hears the laughter under the dog pile the animals created as they crawl over the man, licking and wagging their tails. His own laugh gains attention, Orthrus running over to greet him first followed by his brothers. Without a single thought, the baker kneels down on the floor to give each affection, petting and kissing them. Allowing Cerberus to tackle him to the floor to start a small wrestling match. He enjoys being on their level, not thinking about anything other than playing or giving out pets, and tossing toys about. It's one thing he thought Spencer would think was odd or gross, but the man seems to love watching them and encourages Sam to roll around on the floor more often.

It's what Sam sees between the wiggling bodies of the dogs, Spencer leaning against his desk with amber eyes focused on the pile of bodies on the floor, a smirk on his lips. He doesn't interrupt the greeting, genuinely finding it amusing to watch, and it brings Sam another sense of acceptance. No matter how many times this exact scene has played out. The boy doesn't put much thought into his actions before he moves, too happy and relaxed, unfocused mind not detecting anything bad or inappropriate about it. Crawling out from under his beloved dogs and sneaking over to Spencer, not bothering to stand up on his feet, keeping a position on his hands and knees as he crawls. Spencer grins, hands coming down to run through the grown-out hair on Sam's head and softly pulling the boy up to kneel against long legs. Petting through his hair and down his neck to his spine, relishing how pet-like his puppy is acting at the moment. Sam leans into the man's stomach, sighing at the soothing feel of the hands on him and wrapping his arms around thick thighs.

"How was work, Pup?" It's asked quietly after a minute or two, Spencer's tone soft and calming.

Sam needs to blink a few times, trying to force his mind to connect with his voice to answer. Yet it takes a moment, too distracted by the feel of Spencer's warmth and the hands on him, on the content cloud that is fogging his mind. No matter how hard he tries, the answer doesn't come as clearly as it should, sounding slurred and distracted. "Okay...... Robin, uh... I don't, um.."

This gains a chuckle, Spencer not pushing as he suspects what is happening and is too excited to force Sam out of it. Instead, he bends down to kiss his boy's forehead and lift him up. Settling him on his chest and helping his short legs curl around his waist. The dogs sniff and prance about the man's feet, following him into the living room. Sam sighs into the man's neck, tightening his hold at any shifting of muscles in the arms or torso he is holding onto with unknown strength. Trying to set the baker down on the couch is a struggle that Spencer takes great delight in, the boy fights to keep complete contact with the Dominant, not allowing himself to be placed down. Whining high in his throat at every attempt to gently pull him off the firm chest, legs locking tighter on the man's hips.

The Youtuber laughs, standing straight to whisper into the human pup's ear. "Baby, it's just the couch and I'll sit with you all night. I'm just gonna grab you some snacks and water for later, okay?"

Shaking his head, Sam whines. He is unable to figure out how to get his voice to work with his brain so very fuzzy, only wants to be close to his boyfriend and nap. He doesn't care for the couch or the snacks, merely the warmth and firmness of Spencer. Yet the man changes his tone from a gentle timbre into a stern command after two more failed attempts, urging him to obey. "Be a good boy, Sammy, and let me get you some stuff." Adding on, "Make us a little nest with the blankets, help get us cozy. Okay? Here, use these pillows and blankets."

Huffing, Sam goes along when Spencer bends to carefully dislodge his puppy from his body. Landing softly on the fluffy couch cushion, the pillows, and blankets being tugged closer to him. Looking up at Spencer gains a grin and a kiss on his head, deep voice back to gentle. "Nest, okay? Make us comfortable so you can cozy up to me in a minute, can you do that, Puppy?"

Nodding, Sam watches the man walk into the kitchen then turns to start pulling the blankets around. Building a wall along the edge of the chaise at the end of the couch with the throw blankets, keeping one to cover them. Setting up the soft pillows at the back of the couch where their heads will go and two for their feet. He doesn't stand as he does this, crawling around in the middle of the nest as he builds. Spencer watches from the kitchen entryway, a tray of snacks and water in his hands. Not speaking, just observing Sam to see if the boy is in a headspace or if he's just too exhausted from work and this morning's classes.

They had to wake up earlier than normal to get the baker on time for his lesson, he had three directly after one another then had to run to work for the extra hours he agreed to cover for another coworker who had an emergency. He usually only works late afternoon to evenings, his boss taking into consideration of his schooling. This may be to a mix of both headspace and being tired, the body's levels lowering until his brain shuts down certain parts, giving Sam a light experience of a headspace. Perhaps the mere stress of the day had gotten to him and he unknowingly fell into a space when he played with the dogs. Either way, this is a good chance to encourage this kind of behavior at home. Train his boy to be a good little puppy.

Walking back in, he sets the tray near the nest on the cushion to avoid everything falling. Planting another kiss on Sam's head when the boy looks up at him with wide eyes, glassy and unfocused, but eager. Acting overly excited, even if he is incredibly happy with this. "Good Boy! This looks amazing, Baby! Where do you want me, I don't wanna mess it up when you worked soo hard on this."

Sam grins, gripping the man's hand to tug him down in the middle of the blanket pile, making sure his head is on the pillow and his feet are as near the end pillows as possible. Spencer is too tall to completely fit on the chaise laying down, but he bends his knees slightly to rest his ankles on the blanket wall edge. The baker crawls on his chest, leaving Spencer to pull the free blanket over them and choose something to watch on the tv. Not that he'll pay attention to whatever is on, he is content with listening to the heartbeat in the man's chest.
