The Hunt for the Worst: Epcot Purist

As you guys know I am a Disney Fanatic. But in not on a level where I scream, "CHANGE IS BAD!" When an attraction goes away to become something completely different.

But there is one select group of change haters I can't stand and those are The EPCOT Purist.

Don't get me wrong I like Epcot as much as the next person even though to the Outside world, aka the non-Disney Fanatics, consider Epcot as a joke, especially with The now Disney Owned Simpson's making half an episode poking fun at the park.

It was even boring to fly over it!

Now this is what Epcot was like in the beginning...and I'm not talking about all of Walt Disney's City of the Future concept. So I'm just gonna spit ball this because I don't wanf to waste your time with wasteful facts I know about a park a % of you never visited or have visited and thought it was boring.

Basically the beginning Epcot had to follow 2 rules.

1) They cant use any Disney Characters

2) it must have an educational stand point.

The first rule was Gutted when Micheal Esiner showed up, or as I call him He Who Shall Not Be Named.

Then all of a sudden a select few of Disney Characters started trickling into the attractions. Now with such attractions as The Seas with Nemo and Friends, The Grand Fiesta Tour with the three Caballeros, Frozen Ever After, Ratatoulie, and Guardians of the Galaxy show up.

And of course the Educational Aspect failed because, No one goes to a Disney Park to learn!

Don't believe me, when was the last time you rode Pirates of the Caribbean and was immediately given a piece of paper asking questions about the ride? I hope the answer is never because who goes to a Disney Park to learn when there are like multiple hour long Specials dedicated to the history and behind the scenes of the parks. Heck The History Channel, or as I call it, "The Used To Be About History Channel," did a special about WDW.

If you watched that entire thing you deserve a ribbon and a cookie!

Now recently the Epcot Purist got so freaking mad with Angry!

After last year with this ride:

Epcot fans started to get concerned that Epcot is losing its thematic integrity. Well what do you expect from the broccoli of Theme Parks, and is only better with the Cheese of Disney Characters. Actually Some Jerk With a Camera aka Tony Goldmark aka that Guy from Nostalgia Critic's Review of The Sorcerer's Apprentice better explains this situation along side a bit of Disney California Adventure:

I'm Lazy I admit!

But yeah, something like Ratatulie makes sense because of theming while Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't, and even though I'm glad we are getting a Gaurdians of the Galaxy ride at Disney World, I really don't think Epcot is the Right place, but like Frozen, it is at least in the park that can handle the crowds.

Then again who did ride Universe of Energy unless you want to take a nap without going back to your hotel?

Be Honest!

Also when everyone starts complaining about Disney Closing a ride, they forgot one very important thing Walt said.

"Disneyland will never be complete, as long as there is still imagination left in the world."

I think I may be a few words off from that.

Sorry to any Epcot Purist who can't stand them throwing intellectual properties into Epcot but in all fairness, you know how hard it is to come up with something original?

Especially in this day and age when everything is either a reboot or sequel.

I empathize but I rather have the Winning formula over boring science park any day.

But if any of you guys think I actually make a decent statement with this, and knowing my friend rewrite she probably will get what I'm saying, leave what you think in the comments.
